Put a different than recommended oil in my car without asking my permission.
Went for just an oil change and my service rep was Lyndsay Scott. He looked mad and never greeted me. When I told him I came in for an oil change he looked at the records and said that from the last visit there are some outstanding servicing requests that needs to be completed. I informed him that I already took care of them from another service center. He told me “ why? is it because you can’t afford it here? “ I said “no, I already took care of it” but he kept saying “so you can’t afford it” I guess all he wanted was to sell and he was upset because I was only doing an oil change. He basically humiliated me by embarrassing and degrading me. He told me that he will call after 1-2 hrs when the oil change is done but I guess since I did not give him any sales apart from the oil change, he never called. Since I didn’t hear back after about 3 hours, I decided to go back to see if the car was done. of course it was done but never gave me a call to notify me. He is the worst client service person I have ever met in my life. Beware of this person. I would never go in for a service at this location as long as Lyndsay Scott is there. He is grumpy, mean, has no customer service skills and only interested in making a sale. I even informed some of the associates about him and even they told me that’s how he is. He has no humanity in him. Hope the management train him since he has zero knowledge of customer service but has a huge ego.
Always friendly and very accommodating time wise and can you get in fast. The car service is great, I just wish we had known in advance when the latest they come and pick you up is. But honestly that was on us for not asking.

The service department is corrupt. They tacked on a $600 calibration charge a week later on the invoice after charging $400 to inspect the car. Very shady. i tried to ask where the $400 charge was coming from and my service advisor ignored/blocked me. When i went to pay the senior service advisor told me that $400 included recalibration. How is that possible when my bumper is not even on the car. Service Advisor was Darryl. I was planning on going to them for all services but not anymore. Beware of selective and shady fees. Be careful servicing through here.

We bought a Toyota Corolla from the showroom at Thousand Oaks a few weeks back and were very satisfied with the service offered . We were serviced by Kareem. He is energetic, enthusiastic, and polite, and it took us less than 2 hours to process the details, complete the documentation, get the necessary financing and drive the car out as proud owners. Would strongly recommend Kareem if you are looking at buying a Toyota car.
Terrible experience with their service department regarding customer service. The person I dealt with seemed annoyed anytime I had a question. The amount of time it took them to inspect my car was unacceptable. I had an appointment and it still nearly took five hours.I’ll never go back there and I advise you take your car to a reputable independent mechanic. This place ain’t no golden popcorn.
Just brought my Lexus GX470 with 155000 miles into Daniel at Thousand Oaks Toyota to diagnosis why my check engine and idiot lights all of a sudden went on. He quickly scanned the car and determined I needed a new catalytic converter. He quoted me a price that was fair and when I went to pick up the car the final price was under the estimate. He also did extensive work on my 1999 4runner and is running great ever since..I highly recommend Daniel to be your service advisor if you want to feel confident about having your car serviced properly at Thousand Oaks Toyota.

We purchased a 2015 Dodge Ram from Thousand Oaks Toyota recently and were thrilled by our experience. We originally went to the dealership to look at a 2007 Tundra that I had seen on the marketplace. Brian Ellis was working that evening and took us to view the vehicle. We werent too impressed with the older Tundra, and asked Brian to show us other used trucks. We fell in love with a 2019 Chevy Silverado, but it was way above our budget, so we kept looking. Brian did a great job of asking us questions in order to help us find the right vehicle. We admired how sincere and courteous he treated us, as if we had been long time friends. Brian showed us an immaculate 2015 Ram that had low mileage, which was listed a little higher than what we wanted to pay. I didnt expect them to budge on the price much, and wanted to get out of there before the arm twisting haggling began. To my surprise, Toyota came through and gave us a deal that we were very happy with. We were so impressed working with Brian. We like how he was positive and encouraging. It didnt seem to matter whether we purchased the 2007 Tundra, or a newer truck, so long as it was the one that met our need.

The worst customer service! I brought my Prius in for service. Tried to use $ 100 off service coupon, small print, they only could apply $ 35 dollars off. Understandable.The worst was making me wait 1 half hour to bring my car up for pick up after I payed for service! not coming back, not recommending

Shoutout Kareem! Make sure you talk to this guy, hes the internet sales wizard. He was relentless in getting to me, by email, text, and phonecall. And we connected on a certain vehicle and then he sold it while he was texting me about it. Then he offered to hold a higher-priced, non-CPO vehicle for me but wouldnt give me the estimated price on it. He also wouldnt honor the at-home drive test plastered all over their site. Im sure the car would have been nice.But hey, he saved me a two hour drive and $25k so big ups to Kareem the dream. He really will save you time and money. Now I can spend that time and money on a car instead of a salespitch. Thanks, Kareem.
This was a great experience being at this dealership. This is probably something people don’t say to much when buying a car.I had a great sales guy (Kareem). Super friendly. Truly trying to get you the best deal he can. How often can you say it was enjoyable being around a sales guy?The manager (David) acts like a tough guy, but his associates would call him a cuddly-bear. Gave me a good deal without to much fussing.The financial manager (Chad) was incredibly informational. He happily answered all my mundane questions to help me understand and realize that they got me a fantastic deal.
Thousand Oaks Toyota wasted 10 minutes of our time with an amateurish, sleazy attempt at a bait and switch using an apparently fake online listing. Therefore Im happy to waste 5 minutes more writing them a lousy review.Fortunately, other dealerships in the area were much more professional. Less than an hour after we left T.O. Toyota we bought a car from a respectful and deserving sales person.
ASK FOR SCOTT. I’m from NC and I have a 2006 Prius and have taken my car to dealerships far and wide as I travelled across the country. My dad always emphasized the importance of finding a mechanic you can trust, and after many years and miles I have found my dude. Scott has gone above and beyond to help me take care of issues with my car in the most practical way over the past few years. My front screen went out and he even found the parts I needed to replace them on eBay! He’s always prepared me ahead of time for things that were on their way out, like my suspension, and always makes me feel like I understand my car. He has real conversations about the services, and is so kind. A person who is great at his job and also CARES about PEOPLE!!Most recently I had the unfortunate experience of having my catalytic converter sawed off while my car was parked in my driveway. I called the Van Nuys Toyota dealership closest to me and was quoted $4500 to replace it, no conversation. I called Scott, he found that quote to be totally egregious and he got everything sorted out AND a shield installed over my catalytic converter for almost $1000 less in a single day, and I was back in action.It doesn’t matter where I live in Los Angeles, I will always drive my car to Thousand Oaks for Scott. Everyone else is SO lovely there too, it’s absolutely worth the miles to know your car is in good hands.But seriously, ASK. FOR. SCOTT.And get a shield installed over your catalytic converters, Prius drivers!!! ~$300 to save you ~$3300 in the long run.

Im a buy and hold kind of guy. Presently, I own a 1999 Land Cruiser with just under 400,000 miles on it. With that said, I dont have much experience buying cars. My wife wanted a Highlander (fully loaded), so we went shopping around. Spent a fair amount of time evaluating the car at a competing dealership, and was ready to do business with them, but they made it clear that they were not going to budge on the price. Went to Thousand Oaks Toyota. After discussing with the Sales Rep, we were referred over to David, the Sales Manager. Super nice guy and very experienced. We came to an agreeable price, and sealed the deal with the caveat that he would provide me with an extra Land Cruiser Key at his cost to replace the one my wife lost so many years ago. Not only did he honor that agreement, but he gave me both the key and the service call to program it for free as well. I dont have enough nice things to say about doing business with this franchise.

So I have tried for more than 3 hours to get in contact with the service department only to be placed on hold each time. I also asked for the manager but was also forwarded to a voice mail. I really would like to order a car part. I love my Toyota but this service department is the worst!

Our experience was Absolutely Pleasant!! I’ll try and be brief, but 1st I do have to send a big THANK YOU to the ‘sales team’ at Oxnard Toyota, who, thanks to their ineptness and complete disconnection with not only their own inventory, but their customer service as well, immediately drove us to Thousand Oaks Toyota, and into the kind, pleasant, and patient arms of Michael Lang, Daniel Garcia, and Finance Manager Chad Hastings. Mike is probably the 1st and only ‘salesman’ that actually listened, as well as let us experience the car w/out pitching us at all. He’s such a beautiful & gracious man. Daniel’s energy was fun and infectious, & his detailed knowledge and patience made learning about the car simple & enjoyable. And lastly, Chad in finance was a blast. He made the usually not so pleasant ‘car buying process’ a breeze, dare I say fun!? Very generous and helpful and he definitely knows his business. I had a dishonest experience with Thousand Oaks Toyota. While I don’t normally write Yelp reviews, I decided the community needs to know about this dealership.After a lot of negotiation with Salesperson H******* and her manager DAVID KLINE, I came to a deal for $230 per month plus trading in my old vehicle for a Rav 4 XLE with this dealership. The deal is in writing, and I have all the screen shots.Sadly I cant post pictures with my review but if anybody interested give me you email and I will send everything to you. They told me the car would be ready within a week. I was really excited about getting this car!I accepted their offer but I specifically asked them not to run my credit unless they had a car on the lot for me (I need to maintain a good credit score because I am hunting for an apartment)…Not only did they run a hard check on my credit, but after a week passed, Thousand Oaks Toyota called me and said they had changed their minds and they would NOT honor their word. They took the deal off the table, and they told me I could instead model SE for $285 per month, and that is all they can do.I am not really mad at the sales person because she is only doing what she has been told, but the sales manager David Kline is not somebody that you even want to speak to. I went back to the dealer yesterday to follow up, with the car, I ask for the sale manager because he was the one who approved the deal. He saw me being upset and he told me let’s get you the car right now. After 10 min he comes back and say we don’t have a car right now but I get you one soon!!! I ask how soon he replied maybe tomorrow maybe in 30 days. Do Not Go by this guy’s word, Ask for everything to be in writing. His word doesn’t mean anything.If you want to work with a dealership you can trust, I suggest you steer clear. They do not honor their word (even when it’s in writing).

Called Friday afternoon about a vehicle. Nick is the one that took my call. I live in Crestline and wanted to get rough values on my trade ins first before I go in to see if it was worth my time to go in. I told him I am already preapproved through my bank. He said he would get back to me first thing Saturday morning. He got back to me at 11am and said he was with a customer and that I was next on his list to do. He got back to me after a couple of hours and says that I would have to come in to get a values on my trade ins. I told him thank you for his time and I would find a deal closer to where I lived. He then says he forgot that I lived so far away and to send him photos of my trade ins. I sent him photos and then he tells me that he would have to wait until Sunday because his boss is working on a deal. Then tells me my 2 trade ins were in the system and they were ready to go for when his manager looks at them. I told him no worries I understand. Here it is on Monday now and still have not heard from Nick. You would think that with 2 trade ins and a preapproval though a bank would be a deal that someone would work on. Nick sounds very inexperienced when talking/texting him. Its a shame for the dealership to lose out on a deal due to poor customer service.

Excellent customer service. No wait at all for my scheduled appointment when both dropping off and picking up. Done when expected and as quoted. Liked text feature. Everyone helpful and professional. Facility was sparkling clean. Clear signage for entrance to service area, cashier, waiting room with personal escorts available to locations as needed. Overall great experience.

Not only did they correct the recall issue, they also repainted almost the entire car and color matched the old paint perfectly. Dealer is very shady. They sent the wrong part, agreed to have it sent back and a refund issues. Then I called and emailed many times to get a hold of Oscar and he never responded, even after he agreed to refund me for the wrong part and blamed the mix up on the parts department. Now, after getting Toyota Corp involved, they are breaking their promise, saying the part never came from their dealership, even though it did! So beware of this shady dealer. I’ll be calling Toyota Corp again and filing another complaint and also disputing the charge with my bank if they don’t not refund me within the next 24 hours.
First visit review: Toyota Of Thousand Oaks is a really good Toyota dealership to go to. Everyone there was really nice, patient, and tried to make all of my wants and needs work out. Cory K. And Richard T. on the sales team helped me out very well. They were prompt and had the vehicle I was calling about to come look at pulled right up to the front and ready to look at before I even got there and I live 5 minutes away. Richard himself went way out of his way to make sure I got approved and everything worked out in my favor. Nobody does things like that anymore. Solid dude. I would definitely recommend this particular dealership if it has got a vehicle you like. The whole team is nice, didn’t see one rude person there or anyone who acted like I was there for them and not the other way around. Good dealership, good staff, no shady attitudes. That’s really important to me as a buyer.

Shopped around at 6 local dealerships, including “number 1 in the country” and “number 2 in the country”. Once I exhausted every other negotiation and I was happy with the price at another dealership, i asked to come in to get the car and the representative went home. I said why not just try the one dealership I never went to, Thousand Oaks Toyota. I saw they were open until 9, I walked in at 8:15. JD immediately met us outside and was very professional and helpful. I already knew the car I wanted so I didn’t need much convincing. I showed them my quote from another dealership and said if you guys beat it you’ll have the deal. No joke- In less then 5 minutes the manager came to the table, and confirmed the sale.Everything from beginning to end was wonderful. I was driving off the lot by 9:40. The quickest, and one of the best experiences I have had buying a car.Support one of the last small time dealerships in the area and keep them around!Thank you for all of your help!

The service Manager was really good. I believe his name is Jayson. Even though I was in for a recall update and wasnt paying anything out of pocket, he made sure I was happy with my experience I would have liked better communication once my vehicle was done being serviced, but once I was able to confirm completion of the work, the staff apologized for the lack of communication and continued with good service.
It was easy and fast buying a car at Thousand Oaks Toyota. The staff were friendly and informative, and the process was painless compared to other dealerships. They worked on a fair price and got the paperwork in order in under an hour. We drove off the lot happy and love our new car!

Not sure what happened to the typical employees I have interacted with but they were not here today. Met with emotionless and unhelpful suggestions and gave vague reasons to why their service prices increased. I notified them I needed a shuttle ride there and back and when I called to get a ride back at 4:30 pm they said their shuttles were no longer taking rides (service closes at 6:00 pm). The guy suggested I take an uber... Very disappointed in their service.

Thousand Oaks Toyota is the best!!! We bought the car in 2008 got a 2009 on the first day on the lot. It has been meticulously maintained with the terrific friendly communicative Service Dept ever since. For the past 4years my daughter drives it down from San Francisco Area to get service and visit. No Toyota dealership in Bay Area compares with the excellent service, work, price, or people of T. O. Toyota!!!
We had an excellent experience at Thousand Oaks Toyota.During these unprecedented, times finding a great deal on a Tundra has been difficult. Brain from Sales listened to our needs and gave a us great deal on a 2020 Tundra TRD Sport. I was impressed with the offer so much that it was worth driving up from San Diego to purchase the truck. Once we were at the dealership, the process was smoother than expected. No pressure from sales and the finance manager. Mark from finance was a straight shooter. Mark answered all of our questions when it came to financing, warranty and fee’s. We had the paper work wrapped up fast!We like to have options when making large purchases, Brain and Mark both offered an assortment of options and scenarios that made our decision to buy a Thousand Oaks Toyota a no brainer.
No one wears masks here. I tried to update my lease and at one point an employee started making fun of the only employee still wearing their mask. Don’t go here if you don’t want COVID.

I bought a pre-owned 2011 Prius, as is, at Oxnard Toyota. Just three months later the engine overheated and blew the headgasket. I took it to Toyota of Thousand Oaks, first time customer. Mario Diosdado, Service Advisor, took the lead. He got my car diagnosed, and advised me of my options. I decided to do the engine replacement with a good used one. Mario got the job done, and did it under the quoted price. My experience there was amazing. It was all done in less than a week. And they even my washed it. John (sales) told me they had the car so i drove almost an hour to see the two Tundras. Not only they didn’t have it in stock but he didn’t bother to walk out and apologize . I waited to see a manager, no one showed up !Called them and a salesperson name Bob told me that the GM would call me back ! Didn’t happen.Why would one lie about not having a car in stock, make me drive an hour and then not even show up !
I visited Thousand Oaks Toyota for a routine maintenance on my car and was absolutely delighted by the service, its efficiency, and the experience. I was first received and taken care of immediately by a woman named Grace. She was very pleasant and accommodating, and I was directed to a very nice and spacious waiting room. Not only was my car ready within 30 minutes of the expected hour and half, but a serviceperson named Ricardo, noticed a nasty scuff mark on my car that I had given up on, and he offered to fix it on the spot (no charge)! It now looks like the scuff was never there. I expect to continue returning to this venue for my future car needs.

Overall totally satisfied with our purchase. Jesus was great and gave us the best internet pricing. Having to watch all fees being added in by the manager is still a thing though apparently. Just be sure to ask what all of the fees are before signing anything. Also masks aren’t being mandated inside. Customers as well as employees had their mask hanging down and in a lot of cases not even on at all.
Fantastic customer service! Carlos and every other team member I interacted with was friendly and informative. After they fixed my recall issue, they made other recommendations to make my Prius run as efficiently as possible. Thank you Thousand Oaks Toyota! I will be back!

Customer service at T.O. Toyota is pretty incredible. There was someone there to direct me when I arrived. I didn’t catch his name, but he was very attentive and kind. Carlos was very professional and efficient. He made sure I had a shuttle to my dentist appointment while my car was being serviced and made sure I wasn’t late. The shuttle driver was courteous and left me her information to call when I needed a ride back. My car needed new tires which I wasn’t ready to purchase just yet, and they understood rather that pressuring me to make the purchase. That means a lot to me. When my car was ready, I waited for a couple minutes for it to be driven up to me, and a very kind gentleman brought me a cold bottle of water. I didn’t catch his name, but I’m very grateful to him as it was a very hot day and I was thirsty.They’ve redone their service waiting area. It’s a very big lounge area and there is free coffee, snacks, and water while you wait. There are couches and a business area to plug in your laptop to work if needed. Restroom was very clean too.Lastly, the whole reason I drove from Los Angeles to Thousand Oaks for service was the birthday $25 off coupon they sent me as well as the summer deal they were offering. They always have a deal going on & for me, saving some extra money is a big deal. I used to live in T.O.Thanks all for a great experience.

It was my first experience with thousand oaks Toyota yet I would say that the people there are very nice and helpful. They were very easygoing and they provided help every minute. I would recommend this place for anybody who wants good things for reasonable prices.

What a fantastic experience! I have had back to back Lexus vehicles for 20 years. Wanted and purchased the new 2021 Venza SUV! Iloathe car shopping but this dealership was the best experience I ever had ! They have a great inventory, they accommodated preferences, financing, and superior salesmanship, and delivery. Loyal was awesome. David was the number guy, and Suzanne pulled all the financing together. Already referred them to my nephew! I could not be happier!
The service department at this location was fantastic. I had an appointment early in the morning. When I arrived I was met by the service manager and he asked several questions relating to previous concerns about my automobile.He then told me what time my vehicle would be ready for pickup. Latter that day he called and stated that the mechanic had found an issue with the sun roof mechanism and that it was covered under the extended warranty. When I arrived to pick my car it had been washed and ready for delivery.
All of the Service Department staff are extremely helpful and friendly! I dropped my car off Friday evening for its very first service and it was ready early Saturday morning...and it was beautifully washed too!!! I have been a customer of Thousand Oaks Toyota for over 20 years and this is the best service I have received in all those years...Thank You T.O. Toyota!!!
