The only reason I stop by was because I parked my car closed to there today but in my way to head inside the mall noticed few things that called my attention well a lot of signs were 60%off and it was good right normally all costumers want deals well I asked a employee to make sure if something was 60% off he said he didn’t know that he has to scanned to make sure so he did he came back and said the price I asked again so is it 60% off? He said don’t know the price is this, it was kind of rude but I kept looking around found some wallets that had the 60% off sign and when to pay oh no it was regular price when I told him ( same employee ) about the sign he said really rude “I don’t know where you see the 60% signs but it is not “ and for sure I got mad got my purse and head out sorry but not good only few employees big lines and worst they are not even in a way to help someone

This is a well-organized JCPenney location. It seems that in the last few months they might have plans to downsize because there seem to be less items in the store. The sections are always well organized and you can usually find what you were looking for, miss you cant the staff is usually very friendly and happy to help. I hope JCPenney does not go out of business!

JC was nice and organized, but same issue as others with poor staffing. I understand you just avoided going out of business, but when your doors are open and the lights are on, have better staffing. They call them sales associates for a reason. Trust and train your sales staff to make your store profitable. Its really a nice looking store people. Get it together management. Pricing was great and got some great deals.

How this brand keeps holding on I do not know. This location has been there forever and it shows. The registers are always not manned and you walk and walk to find someone to help you. The prices are bait and switch style sales. 3 for 30 but read the fine print it’s on on some items that they purposely mix into the sale table.Hey 30 years ago this was a great store and brand. Now it’s tired.

I like JcPenny at The Oaks. It is always well organized and clean. It has a Sephora inside and a beauty salon with great hair products. I can always find something to buy at JcPenny. They have good prices and coupons. I enjoy their jewelry department too.

Surprised how much product was in the store. Customer service was great and not very crowded. I shall return!

It’s interesting how the want to enforce social distancing by closing all of the entrances/exits but 1 or 2, place signs to remain 6 ft apart, and a limit of 2 people on the elevator. However when I was entering the elevator with my family, a middle eastern employee enters as well. When I told her that her work sign doesn’t allow for her to come in she response with “Yea, but I work here”. JCPenney wants customers to follow their guidelines but their employees do not. Led by example.

If youre like me you might struggle finding clothes in your size, in stock here, however if you can, JCPennys surprisingly diverse selection of diffrent brands and styles is sure to satisfy almost all of your clothing needs, aslong as you dont mind spending a bit of time to search for the deals.Nice layout, good signage, just all around pleasant.

I enjoy the store. Im poor, I got to admit I am. Yet, the deals here are reasonable. They give out great coupons which really helps me. also the jeans really reasonably priced. they carry Arizona, which is really important to me because its like, its really durable and good quality yet looks good. I also enjoy the graphic t-shirts. I got my Spider-Man t-shirt from there and I love it. Its my favorite t-shirt. Seriously, if you go on to the rewards and coupon program, I was really surprised by all the cool stuff you can get. This black Friday really had great prices. But most of all, its one of the few department stores left knows that not everyone is able to pay $50 for a graphic t-shirt. you can get your kids to look nice on a good budget. Unlike other department stores which is ridiculous. Do they think everyone in this town or millionaires? Why are all the good department stores that catered to the and lower middle class, going to the Wayside? You can shop at the store and still feel like a customer, instead of digging to bargain bins at some storage warehouse at the middle of nowhere, in some Industrial lot. Not like theres nothing wrong with that, but who can make it to Los Angeles with these gas prices? Also the appliances is a really good. I know people like to order online, but I like to know and feel and see the product before buying it. I really love the toaster oven they had. Its roomy and it works great.

Bad customer service by Ziba she got very aggressive towards the customer ask to double check the price on a clothing item. She has no type of customer service bad training on JC Penney part hopefully she doesnt cuntinue working towards the holliday because shes going to lose it ☹️but great sales at the store.

Went to pick up an online order. The old convenient pickup desk just inside the door was gone. Requiring a trip through the store and down the elevator to find the desk. Great help when I got there, and my item was available. Whole order process went well and communication from Pennys was excellent.

Ive always liked JC Penney and I still do. Its always clean and friendly and has reasonable prices. Unfortunately, however, the entire mall system seems to be suffering. This location is in The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks CA. Its a beautiful mall but somewhat desolate, now (2019) as compared to 2014 or 2015. The physical store is still very nice. But there are very few employees in it and the selection of merchandise is shrinking. Still, its a good place to visit to see whats in style. I plan to visit again, soon.

Looking for an engagement ring and last night we decided yo check out the jewelry selection.It was almost closing time however the two ladies worked with us to find the perfect ring with 24 month financing and no interest !!It’s a beautiful ring !Amazing customer service and to be completely honest, We could’ve purchased a ring anywhere however it was the ladies behind the counter that made the difference for us ...They showed a genuine interest in helping us find the perfect ring !I hope that the people who run JCPenney will remember that at the end of the day, it’s still a people business...no matter what you’re selling ...the people make the difference and the two ladies in your jewelry department are top-notch 👍👍

Zara did a great job cutting my hair. It came out exactly as I had hoped and its the freshest cut Ive had in a while. Great cut for the summer and thank you to Zara who was a joy to talk to and work with. Much appreciated!

A great store with the best prices in town. Dont know why people are saying they cant find help - there is always someone at the checkout counters - except for the back one on the second floor, which seems to shut down in the evenings. Havent been in a store anywhere which is overflowing with staff - it is a sign of our times. If you dont want to stand in line, then dont go at peak times and understand that your wait time depends entirely on the person in front of you. This store is very accommodating to its customers and always give me the best deal!!

This store used to be a really nice and clean store. Its a complete mess every time I go in there now. There are always clothes all over the floor and in the fitting rooms. The clothes on the racks are always disorganized. The shoes are a mess and its hard to find a matched pair. The fitting rooms also smell like urine. I will be ordering everything online from now on as I will.never step foot in the store again.

I had a couple of shirts ordered online, and Id chosen store pickup. Large parking lot, simple enough to find where the pick up is (downstairs) and I was able to leave with my items.

Great selection, but it can be next to impossible to check out! They rarely have enough staff on the floor to properly staff the counters, so you have to track someone down to make a purchase. Online order pickup is easy, but sometimes they make you run around a bit to find a place to pick up your order.

If I were to review this place I place a zero stars.I had a horrible experience at this place today 4/3/19 at 8:30pm. I went to check out and the associate on the register said that the prices on the shirts we got were not tagged properly cause that wasnt the price. She said that it was other customers and started peeling the tags off. Called The manager on duty Tamara. I told her the situation and told her that she had to honor the price and she said no. I told her it wasnt out fault. It was a mistake either my her crew most likely. Cause the stickers were sticked on well. I have manager experience and price has to be sold according to what it says customers are always right. She was a real mean felt discriminated by her cause I felt like I was the one that changed it. Think cause Im Hispanic she made me feel worse. It’s not my fault there was a sale. I would like someone to contact me to put my complain.

I order clearance items online and have my stuff shipped to the store. The merchandise pickup is located downstairs... Super fast and efficient. Returns are also a breeze.

After some explaining and insisting to the floor manager, he actually gave me the coat for the price marked on the rack, which was a great price and may have been mis-marked, but they had verified for me twice that it was the correct price, until check out. It took some insisting, but they did what was right and we got a great deal.

Everywhere I walked I was asked you need help finding anything & hows your day by employees. They were so nice and always had a smile on their face when having a conversation with a costumer.

Parking on this side of the mall is easy, JC has upgraded the look and feel of the store. Dont forget, it closes at 7pm on Sundays.

I was told to get out of line to go straight ahead to another register. There was no additional register. The store was a mess too. This is why the company is closing stores. The staff moves like molasses, some of them are useless help, and the store looks like some kind of rummage sale. All I wanted was a couple of towels. I didnt get my towels.

They are doing something strange with the store . Dont like the layout. I love the Arizona brand t shirts and only found a small table of them. Check out was long eventhough there not that many customers in the que. I hope it was just a bad Saturday.

This joke of a business needs a complete overhaul on the entire management team. No organization, clothes are all over the place. Stacked on top of each other with no size arrangement or the size on hanger will not match the article of clothing hanging on it. I do not mean 1 or 2 pieces either. I would say a good 90% of the mens clothing department is like this. After an hour of searching through that desolate wasteland without a word being said to me (because I think to work there you have to go through an anti customer service training program) I finally get up to the register to check out and the clerk tells me my card isnt working. I proceed to tell him my frustrations with the experiences Ive had shopping at this location as its been like this EVERY TIME Ive shopped there for at least a year. Then show him the amount of money I have in my account and that there must be a mistake and that we should call American Express to confirm and move forward with the transaction. The manager steps in and tells me that they do not do that. They will and would never call a bank. Well, I know for a fact, as a merchant this is where you are supposed to call and confirm the card status not only to save a sale but to possibly prevent fraudulent activity as well. Also a perfect time to do some customer recovery right? Nope. Just gave me a blank stare until I left. This pathetic excuse of management and customer service is the reason I will never shop at this location again. I wish that this will reach someone who can and will do something about this store but i feel it will fall on deaf ears just like any attempt i made at the store

Found what I was looking for and the cashier was very nice.

Manager was rude. The cashier told me a sale did not apply to one of the items so I went and switched it out. Then it still did not ring up the sale price. Then the manager came to manually input and it still wasnt correct. She said it wasnt on the front table item and I said well you should move this sign that is on the front table saying they are on sale. Two other customers in front of me also had trouble with different items not registering as the sale price. The Two managers are being called on the intercom for different departments. Jcpenny needs to fix the program on their computer this is the third time I am being rung up for my items and both the associate and the manager had to guess and pick which items would work for the sale although there were signs on the entire brand do even they said it should work.

Its Christmas time and this JC Penny was less than half staffed... ridiculous! One person for the entire fine jewelry department, and she chose to do inventory, while live human beings stood in front of her, waiting to be helped. We all waited for at least a half hour before giving uo, completely, and she never did help us. This is not acceptable. You can not make money this way, JCP.

JCPenney is a great store of youre looking for something nice and okay quality but dont want to spend a lot of money; however I will say that over the years I have gotten some surprisingly well made, expensive looking items from JCPenney. The store is kept relatively clean and its pretty easy to locate what youre looking for in the store. There are 2 levels to the store: the first level contains womens, juniors, kids, babies, jewelry, Sephora, and handbags; the bottom level contains home items, large appliances, mattresses, shoes, and mens clothing. There is also restrooms, escalators, and an elevator in the store. Checkout time is usually pretty quick unless its Black Friday. My biggest issue with the store is that they only usually have one or sometimes two working price scanners in the store, and majority of the time theyre broken. It just bugs me. Also the fitting rooms are usually dirty and filled with unwanted clothes. Overall its an okay store to shop at.
