I have been going to Georges shop for a few years now. He is honest. He always takes care of my car. He is friendly and I feel fair on price.

These guys are extremely honest and helpful and run a diagnosis for free while other shops wanted 75$ for a simple emissions diagnosis to check for exhaust leaks. George was the person I talked to and was very helpful. They got back to me very fast only an hour after I dropped the truck. He also told about all the affordable repair option I could do.

The service was quick but some people need a serious attitude check or need to learn to keep their problems at home.Reading the rest of the reviews it looks like Im not alone in this....hope its not a reflection of the store because I was told good things about the owner. That kind of attitude says more about that person than it does the person they spontaneously have a problem with that day for whatever random reason. Have a nice day being miserable.

Came here for a manifold assembly replacement. He started out with how expensive the part is, and I told him it was $310 at the parts store and he argued with me that I don’t know what I’m talking about till I showed him the picture of the whole assembly from the website. He said “Wow that’s cheap!” And said because I’ll be bringing my own part he’ll be charging me an additional $20/hr for labor. Basically because he couldn’t make money off me from the part, now he has to make more money off me from the labor. Neighborhood crooks.

Friendly service, honest prices. George even follows up with texts to check in and make sure the repair is going well. Had my catalytic converters replaced on my Jeep and was very pleased.

He even helped me find another Midas in the town I was moving away to in another state! Their text messages for scheduled maintenance were also a bonus!

You can feel confident you are genuinely being looked after by George. I bought my truck new 15 yrs ago. The last time I took my truck to the dealer for an oil change they said I needed brakes. The next day I had an alignment appointment at Midas and told him what the dealer said and to go ahead and replace the brakes. When I came to pickup my vehicle, George said I didnt need brakes. It is now 2 years later and he just replaced them this weekend. Just the front brakes as he said the rears were plenty fine.

Went here to get my tire checked after the low air pressure sensor kept turning on. The guy basically told me I need new tires and the problem was not fixable. I left, took it to Tire Depot in Beaverton, they guy found a tiny nail in the tire, they removed it and didnt have any issues after.

Ive been going to this Midas for years. I totally trust their work and advice. If a repair is out of their wheel house, they will tell ya up front.Give them a visit

I woke up one morning to find that the catalytic converter on my 2001 Honda Accord had been stolen (likely by junkies looking for scrap metal). I was terrified of having to pay more for the repairs than my car is worth. George Weivoda was so incredibly kind and helpful, charged me a -more than- fair price, and welded my new cat converter to the main frame so that even the most determined tweaker wouldnt be able to take this one. All in about 4 hours, too! I am so grateful to George and his team. Thank you!!

Had a great experience with the Folks at the Tigard Midas. Got breaks and a belt for much less than the dealership would have charged and they have a lifetime guarantee. Whats not to like? George also saw I had a cracked windshield and referred me t a local company he uses. I just got that done too! Great service and got me in and out earlier than expected so I could make my afternoon appointments.

Been going there for a few years. I would trust George with any vehicle I owned. I have been having George service our Vehicle for over 10 years. Always great service and gets right on it. No worries when you go to George at Midas.Took my truck in as we left for Calif. for ten days. One of Georges mechanics drove me home. Truck will be done while Im gone. Terrible customer service! My wife took her car in with the check engine light on. They claimed to need several days to diagnose the problem as our needed to be driven then cooled down several times to get a computer reading. To fix a radiator leak they estimated double the price of replacing the radiator. I asked them to check the heater core and they told me (without even checking) that the problem was the electronic controls. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Seven years ago, I moved to Tigard and wanted to establish a long-term relationship with an auto mechanic I could trust. When I met George, the owner of this MIdas, I told him that I would be a loyal customer and give him a lot of business over a period of years, but in return, I needed attention to quality, good communication, and above all, no BS. Most mechanics I have met just cannot be honest. They always want to make a problem sound more serious than it is, or they always pressure you to fix a list of other things that are not the presenting problem. Gratefully, George is not like this. He is amazing and unique in this way. Hell do his due diligence to identify problems, but he always gives his honest take on what might need to be addressed first and what may be able to wait. His consistent straight shooting with me over the years has earned my trust. Now, Im more likely to have him do more work than I intended, just because I know that he is not pressuring me to do it, and he will do a good job. Also, Ive found his prices to be totally reasonable. As I have shopped around when more major repairs have been needed, Georges prices have always been in line. He has been a mechanic for many years, and his knowledge is deep. Its amazing to have a relationship with a skilled mechanic who is also the owner of the business. George is truly a unique provider, and I am really glad my wife and I can rely on him as our mechanic. If we ever have car problems, we dont get too worried about it. We know George is always there for us with good advice and service.

I just went there to do front brakes, and oil. I was then told about a few other problems with the car. The good thing was I had a choice. Other places really pressure you, but they didnt. My trooper had a rattle. A friend suggested it could be the catalytic converter. I took it to Midas in Tigard and asked George and his guys to have a look. Within the hour the diagnosis was most certainly the catalytic converter. He had the parts and his guys could get er done the same day. Best news came when he called to let me know my rig was ready. He informed me that since it took less time to install than originally quoted he was able to save me some cash in labor. How many times has that happened to you in your life?? Mine? Just this time!George and his crew did an awesome job. They will get my business every time!Did I mention that he didnt try to upsell me into all kinds of other things my Trooper needed done? Did I mention it would be an easy target since she is rolling over 235 thousand miles?Good ol boys doing REAL business! Lets keep em rolling.

Going on six years with George at Midas! Couldnt love him or his team (Scott) more. They are by far the most trustworthy and skilled mechanics weve ever dealt with. When we have things wrong with our Toyota Land Cruiser, George talks us through the consequences and scenarios of not fixing things right away - no pressure, just facts. He has offered many complimentary services over the years as well - once Scott actually removed the driver side seat to find my gold pendant that had popped off its chain! So helpful no matter what the problem!We have referred several family members and friends to him and they have all been pleased. What a relief to find such an enjoyable and honest place to have our cars fixed.

This place is a joke! Went in to get a new flex pipe put on my chevy s10. The counter help was very unprofessional and they tried to overcharge me. Luckily I was smart enough to not be screwed over by these people and didnt get the work done there. I went to exhaust specialties &brake in tualatin and paid $175. Midas quoted me $400. Beware people! Dont get taken advantage of!!

Called to ask for diagnostic, George was just unprofessional. Im calling for a diagnostic to find out whats wrong with my car. I dont need to feel like a dumbass because i dont know whats wrong with my car. Like i knew the brake check was free. Excuse me for not knowing. No customer service skills.

I sent my wife in to get an alignment and they told her she had 2 bad bolts and it would be over $100 to fix before they would even touch the car she called me at work and I told her ask if they could do the alignment and I could fix the bolts myself and they flipped out on her and said they wont touch the car until she pays over $100 to fix 2 bolts and made her cry (shes 7 months pregnant as well) so she get her keys and goes to Les Schwabb and they with a full 3 day schedule fit her in the next day at open so she can still make her trip to see her family and only charge $56 for the work while Midas wanted over $200 for everything they said was broken on it yet Les Schwabb didnt have to fix anything and she made her trip safe and sound great job Midas you lost 2 possible life time customers and a TON of bad publicity:) next time you should try to sell her the blinker fluid too that was the only thing missing
