I love REI. They have great associates always willing to help. Always knowledgeable of products. They dont have a bias toward their own product, but they make good stuff. Their return policy is stellar and I love their garage sale section and they rent equipment. This last visit one of the associates took the time to find out what our plans were and recommended a tent that they didnt have in the store but found another store on our way to our destination and called and put it on hold there so we could pick it up on our way. Great service.
Great place! Found a jacket for my husband. Hell be very happy!
My first time here. A fantastic store with friendly and helpful staff. Store was clean, well stocked, and had exactly what I needed. I will be back!
Love this store they usually have what I need and I can be out in under 10 minutes. You can also buy from another REI and direct ship home or to a store if you need help with a fitting or sizing (very important when buying safety gear like a harness or boots with crampons etc.).Again love REI.Unfortunately some supplies are out of stock but so is the entire world right now.
It was a nice place to stop by and get my bike fixed. Front derailer line broke.. They checked it out, and they fixed it well. Great, right away, did not have to wait all day. Time to take a walk around the store and see great brands and great stuff for outdoors. Also anough time to get some cold drinks next door at whole foods.
100% recommend this store for hiking gear. Shoutout to Lorne in the footwear department, he was super helpful and informative in assisting me with finding the right boot size, socks, and testing the fits. He also gave lots of great info on the co-op membership, and the cashier who rang up my purchase, Dalton, was very friendly too! Great store with great team!
Great in-store shopping experience. They take covid seriously and have implemented excellent precautions: limiting capacity, having greeters to ensure all who enter are wearing masks properly, unidirectional routes through high traffic areas, no self-serve footwear, and protocols for fitting rooms. Hand sanitizer dispensers are everywhere and employees were actively cleaning high touch areas during our visit. Good garage sale section. Only thing that was slightly disappointing considering the season we visited was the very small selection of snow sports gear.
Fantastic array of the most up-to-the-minute camping and outdoors equipment. But plenty of old school items as well. Top quality gear that wont break the first time it is taken out of its package and put to its intended use. And it is a co-op so shopping literally pays dividends.
Staff and store are great. Just wish they carried more larger sizes in their clothing. Went in looking for a rain jacket but sizes only go up to xl. Considering it will need to go other possibly bulky clothes xl is not big enough. Ended getting a few rain ponchos that I hope will last.
I went to the REI in Tualatin to visit the bike shop to have the tires on my TREK mountain bike pumped up. The bike tech (I think his name is Adrian) was super helpful and friendly. He checked my bike all over and we chatted about riding on beach sand. When he was finished I was expecting to pay a fee... He said it was No Charge Service to REI Members : ) As a long time former Scoutmaster I would highly recommend REI for all your biking, outdoor and camping needs. Happy Trails!
I dont like the REI corporation, but I needed hiking boots so I went in for the spring sale. Serge in the shoe department was great. He found the right boots for my application and got me a correct sized pair that fits just right. Thank you Serge!
Excellent store but have supply chain issues right now. Probably better to stick online.
I never get out of REI without spending some money. Good selection of gear, friendly, knowledgeable staff, decent prices. All in all, a win every time.
Bought a sleeping bag and trekking poles And checked out tents. Mike helped me and my wife and was amazing. So knowledgeable and willing to help. Honestly best experience Ive had there yet and I usually have good experiences. Hes an older gentleman and deserves some recognition.
Excellent customer service. This is my place to go for outdoor clothing and gear large or small.
In the age of Covid REI has seamlessly reinvented their experience to be safe and still allow you the experience of shopping in their well curated stores. I never dwell too long without an associate asking if I need help. Their people know their products and I usually leave with not only an armful of overpriced gear but a new understanding of a piece of gear or a new place to check out. Ive lived in Oregon for 25 years and they still know cool places to go or fun things Ive never done.
Staff was nice, knowledgeable and wearing masks which I really appreciate, found everything we were looking for
Ive never been to a large store that made my family feel so welcome and comfortable. The stores team is excellent. I commend the hiring manager. During both my visits at the busiest shopping days of the year this team of all-stars were managing the entrance, making certain everyone was helped and always were in good spirits. I am impressed!
We went there to buy two paddle boards, left with empty hands. The staff wasn’t paying attention. We were waiting for more than 10 minutes for an associate to show up but they didn’t care about us AT ALL. They were just hanging out with each other. We take our 2 thousand dollars to an other store where they actually want to do business. This store is not recommend.
Very helpful/knowledgeable staff, good store with lots of gear. For a store where you pay to have the privilege of being a member, they have some policies related to returns/sales/coupons that require unnecessary hassle before they accommodate the customer.
I was initially a bit frustrated by a bike repair issue, but must say my experience has been positive overall. Friendly staff and fast service.
Found great hiking boots to accommodate brace. Found help somewhat limited, perhaps new for she would always go ask someone else for advice. Acted like she did not want to be there.
Serge I’m the shoe department was so helpful and friendly!
The anniversary sale was great and there were lots of salespeople that quickly offered good advice.
Great store with helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Ive never had a negative experience here.
The granola superstore. Although this ones employees are generally standing in the way busy having their own conversations amongst each other. SKIP, go to clackamas rei.
I went to both stores and the customer service was amazing
Excellent store for ALL your outdoor needs.
These guys just straight up sold me some used boots without informing me that they were used at all. $200!Are you freakin’ kidding me?!?!?I’ve never worn the right shoe ever. I tried the left one on, inside the store and didn’t notice all the dirt! Will never patronize your store again! What kind of scam is this?Clearly somebody been trodding around outside in these before! That’s a great way to lose a customer of 20 years. What is the deal with people these days screwing me over at every place I go to?I waited two years to finally come in your store and get a new pair of boots and it had been on my mind the whole time. This was my experience! I’ll never objectify anything like that again in my life. Wow.Thanks for ruining my day.
I love their return policy its just the best
Just shopped at REI for outer rainwear/gear/shoes and received really helpful guidance and assistance from Sarah and Patrick. The store clearly cares about safety/protection of staff and customers during the pandemic - with signs indicating surfaces that have been cleaned where customers sit to try on merchandise. This store obviously trains its staff to be cordial, engaged, and informed. Kudos to the manager and all the staff.
The staff was enthusiastic and ready to explain items.
The store at Bridgeport Village is still requiring the mask theater even though the corporate REI doesn’t have a mask requirement for those vaccinated from Covid. Can only assume the rest of the stores in the area are participating in this lunacy. An adventure store who is afraid to live.
Clean environment, helpful friendly staff. Amazing return policy!
This place does a wonderful job of hiring really friendly people. They also stick a wide variety of high-quality brands.
Patrick was absolutely amazing! I had two older snowboards, and he found parts and bindings for them that actually worked. It was a challenge! I could not afford to buy new snowboards, so thanks to Patrick we will be heading to the mountain this weekend! Thank you!!!
Exceptional customer service and better prices than Cabelas; better quality gear than any other store.
The best location Ive been to in the Northwest. Everything is fully stocked and well-organized. For non-Oregon residents - this is the place to shop and save as there is no sales tax!
Zero stock. Sales associate treated me like a beginner even though Im an experienced hiker. Didnt know what I expected.
Great selection of products for outside activities. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice, inviting showroom. All this comes at a price though. Products are not cheap.
Ren was awesome at getting my mom a coat that fits! Very clean and organized!
Well....if you want quick customer service good luck. Simple transactions are complicated for them it seems...lots of employees not doing much but surfing their cell phones.
Emily was super helpful and friendly as we bought a new bike for our son. She was able to talk tech with and had answers for all his specific questions (very difficult to do). She also knew how long it would take to order it, which was wonderful. It was great ordering from someone who is so professional and thorough with such an expensive purchase.
Helpful staff. Had the boots I needed.
Super helpful staff. Thank you!!
REI is a fantastic place. The staff are super helpful and equally friendly. Their safety measures insure everyone feels safe and comfortable during this pandemic.
Patrick fit my boots that I bought elsewhere for a reasonable price and made my first back country skiing experience a great one!
Phenomenal as always. Currently curb-side only but quick, friendly and courteous. Looking forward to seeing the store when its open inside. I know were all itching for that, but I cannot thank these companies enough as they put our welfare above their bottom dollar.
Excellent shoe selection in large sizes. Always pleasant service and fun shopping experience.
Super friendly staff and they were helpful. Loved the brands and various options. Still felt it was a bit pricey. Overall good experience.
Brandon was super helpful,he signed me up for the VIP membership and before we could finish the transaction they had the my tire fixed for my bike which was flat. Great job REI!!
I got a hard sell for membership while checking out. Cashier was dismissive of my refusals to the point where I left my purchase on the counter and walked out. Im not interested means Im not interested, not keep asking me until you meet your refusal quota. No means no.
Very efficient entry and exit considering labor day with Covid-19 complications. Staff were able to quickly look up even items from the clearance rack to determine things like waterproofing and the like. These guys are a well-oiled machine
Great products, great people!
Great knowledge of shoes at REIWish it had better supply of the ones they had
Love this place! Friendly and helpful staff.
They let someone who was exposed and assumed to have covid continue working there. Rude staff, unsanitary, unhelpful. If I could give negative stars I would. Terrible place. They knowingly exposed everyone to potential covid.
Had to do a return and this is where REI really shines. The customer service rep was extremely nice and helpful!
Really great for all outdoor activities, they have everything here
Great place for outdoor gear. The Tualatin store has really helpful folks in every department.
Kind of spendy but they have nice gear.
A tip to insure good service: Wear scrubs and the staff will think you are a physician from Meridian Park. I have observed the sales staff wait on them hand and foot while I’m ignored. What is with all the Chinese made junk in fancy packaging? I would expect better quality from REI!
SUPER helpful. I knew what I was looking for, but so many choices. One of the employees helped me find sizes and even made trips to the back to bring up some that werent out. In and out in about 15 minutes with exactly what I was looking for!
REI Tualatin is keeping people in a line 6 feet apart, offering masks and hand sanitizer from a self serve stand as you walk in, and counting the number of people inside at one time, limiting shoppers. I felt like it was safe to go in and look around. Everybody wore masks inside and kept their distance.
Haily was excellent throughout the whole process. Easy to reach, communicative, and very knowledgeable and able to easily answer all the questions I had along the way.
Great place with a very very helpful staff
Great customer service & excellent products
Manager refused me entry without a face mask, even though medical conditions allow you to not wear one. According to the disability act, he cannot do so. He was not nice about his approach, I definitely wont be back.
I like shopping here, the prices can be up and down on some products, but you can find anything youre looking for really. The cashier looked like she wanted to kill me, but overall a pleasant experience. Will be back to ask for her number
Great selection of camping equipment. Hiking running shoes are so comfortable!
Rude people, hated my experience. Will never go to or support an REI ever again
REI is a great store good bicycle service. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The closest bike shop to my house and they had the CO2 nozzle that I wanted.
I returned to REI a second day, very stressed out to get my bike up to speed and these guys were great. I asked them to put all kinds of accessories on my bike as I was riding the next day and they were so helpful. They went the extra mile and printed out information to make it easier to order some parts.
Excellent. Very nice and speedy service
Awesome quality socks for christmas....ON SALE!!!
Not fun shopping in a mask but the sale is great!
I love this store. I ordered some items online and a few of them didnt work out. the returned at the store were amazingly non-stressful and quick which was great. Ive been found some other very cool and useful items at the store. Theres a great store with an amazing amount great gear.
For any serious outdoor person, there is simply no other place where you can get better selection or service. The staff are always very knowledge and eager to help. While the prices may not be the cheapest, you are getting high quality products, v with great service. And as long as you are a member, you will get 10% back on all your purchases for a year. Highly recommended if you are going to spend the money on quality purchases.
Always a great selection and informative staff.
Great customer service
Maybe just knocking off one star because, of the 4 REIs in the Portland area, this one seems to have the lesser inventory. Thats really not a big deal as you can see online which stores have what. Great location in the busy Bridgeport mall area, but still has ample parking. REI carries a little bit of everything, but really stands out in my mind as a hiking/camping/backpacking store. If you have not, purchase the one-time membership to earn money back on every purchase.
Great as always. Sometimes you have to wait a few for help (but never too long). Other times you need extra help or specific answers, so it works out. They have an amazing selection of stuff for all sorts of outdoor events/activities. One of my favorite stores!
Love the store and the friendly staff there.
If you are looking for the perfect way to show your love of the outdoors, then come to REI. This store is packed with all of the greatest clothing, footwear, and equipment to emphasize your favorite outside activities. It is very well stocked do prepare yourself to make some tough decisions unless you can buy everything that is displayed. This is a real fun store to browse.
Great place to get outdoor gear. It is pricey, but it is good equipment.
Very disappointed in REI. Ordered some shoes early April to help their business in the pandemic. They are too small. This store has been open for online pickup for weeks yet they will not accept a return!!!! Called and emailed customer service. Pay $10 to ship it back is only option. I’m not supporting REI anymore!
Good selection of tents and very helpful sales associates!
Staff is very helpful and seem passionate about their job!
You never know who youll find helping you. I needed advise on how to care for my boots and found a retired shoe repair guy. Also a member for at least 50 years. Happy Trails
All REI locations are NOT created equal. This one is by far the best. Friendliest and most knowledgeable staff by far. Their service department is also wonderful.Any time you need a quirky thing or are trying to describe the conditions under which you will use an item, they can figure out what you need and point you to it. THAT is customer service. I am usually a bargain-hunting, lowest-price-finding shopper but am willing to pay more for the things I buy at REI because of their customer service - something that I dont find often anymore in retail.
Quality products and helpful customer service. This is one of their smaller locations and it isnt my favorite layout, so it is only getting 4 stars. Parking is adequate, especially for this area, and is a good jumping off point if you are heading across the street.
REI is a place to find just about any kind of recreational equipment you might be looking for. The store in Tualatin is a smaller store, but generally is well stocked and so we have always been able to find what we need. The staff is helpful and educated and experienced enough to have a good idea what they are talking about. This particular store does not have all the services of a flagship store, but has never been a problem for us. The prices are on the high side, but we have found that is mostly due to the high level equipment that they generally stock. When we have compared brand or comparable items, their prices are generally same or less then other sources, including online. All in all, a great place to get some recreational gear for an adventure.
Christina did a great job helping me out. She help me set up a cot, that I ended up not getting. But, she helped me find the perfect sleeping pad and sleeping bag.The store personnel were very helpful. The best!
