I got my new dishwasher today and the service men, I believe one of them are named Shawn and the other Im not sure of his name but they both went above and beyond. They explained everything in detail on what I need to know, were very polite and knowledgeable! By far the best company Ive used! Will definitely be using them again for my appliances! Over the past month, Ive purchased a clothes dryer and a dishwasher. Both times, the delivery men kept me updated on the delivery times, came when expected and were most courteous. They even shared tips for usage on these appliances. Well done!

Had a problem with my refrigerator and repair person came and charged me $90.00 to adjust the temperature settings and said if it continues to call again and they could come out again. What a rip off. I’m a senior and to charge $90.00 to adjust control which I did. NEVER call them again.

Terrible customer service. Bought a microwave, refrigerator, and stove from them about 3 years ago. When I needed a new filter for the microwave I was told they dont stock them and to google it and order it online from someone.Just bought a GE front load washer from them 2 weeks ago - the salesman said he had the one we were looking at and raved about it. After purchasing, we found the timer is barely audible - you have to have your ear next to the machine to hear it. They dont keep the machines plugged in at the store, so we could not have tested it there. When we called to discuss the issue we were told there is nothing they can do about it and we were told to go by a portable timer.

I’m not to happy with my new appliances that I purchased from Ajay Appliance.We purchased all GE items as recommended by John in the Toms River store.The new GE appliances are very cheap and made with poor quality.I will be surprised if they last for five years.Ajay Appliance installation crew we’re true professionals and did a great installation for us. Just very disappointed with GE.

Repair men were very nice 2 stars. Had them look at my freezer and was told my ice maker was broken, which I suspected. They said they dont have the part on hand and would take a week for it to come in. The part was $220-ish dollars and to place the order they would need $100 deposit and the balance paid when they placed the new icemaker. If you have repairs made by them the $90 service call is waived. Fair enough, I could go a week without our icemaker.I do not appreciate how business was handled hereafter.It has been over a week and I called today to check on the status. I was abruptly told (what seemed like a cranky old man) that the part is on backorder. I was not informed of this by the service men. I asked him when it would be available, how long are we talking? He said he had no idea, it shows zero. I had asked for my $100 refunded, I should have been informed of this. He said like a joke, Not refunding you a $100, maybe $10, the service charge is $90. I said, then the $10 please and cancel my order.Whats more disgusting is the lack of courtesy to apologize for NOT telling me or informing me the part is on backorder for an undetermined time before I had to make the call. I called this place because the other repair service I use was backed up. Next time Ill wait it out. Sorry I wasted $90 dollars on this place.

We have used Ajay appliance for the last 15 years exclusively. I purchased all of my major appliances from them and have always been very satisfied. They do appreciate their repeat customers and will give you a good deal. They sell the upper tier models of what you can find at Home Depot and Lowes, deliver, install, and remove the old. Five stars.

Needed a refrigerator immediately, Doug helped us find what we needed and had it delivered the next day. Joe the owner also helped with a rebate issue we were having. We had an overall positive experience here.

Went there to purchase a television. The salesman said that he could beat any price. So I found an RCA 32in for $278. I went back and he wouldnt beat the price. The fact is he probably couldnt, stating they dont sell cheap junk brands, RCA? As you can tell by the price this was over 10 years ago, on hours every day for my elderly mother.just wanted to make sure it wasnt junk, and it still works. Fact is with box stores guys like these have to tell you anything to get the sale even though they dont mean it.

Have used Ajay Appliance, literally, for years. Just purchased a new refrigerator. I had contacted the large stores who would deliver in 4 weeks. I contacted other local stores and prices were all similar. Ajay was the only store who delivered the refrigerator the next day. Delivery guys were OUTSTANDING. They brought the appliance in, over and around multiple obstacles in my old house. Joe was great, price was great, speed of delivery was great and delivery guys were great.

Must have been to early, guy behind the counter could not be bothered to try and even entertain me to buy a nice new stove, instead in his grumpy way says to me..We dont sell parts..... you would think buying local is best...NOT HERE!

The very worst customer service I have ever witnessed. An employee named Joe arrived to repair a refrigerator. He was not polite or pleasant, told us he did not have the part needed to repair the refrigerator and began packing up his tools. He was asked when he would expect to receive the part and he said a day or two. I asked if there were another place he might be able to find the part sooner and he said he didnt know. I asked if he could check and he told me I could Google it. I asked him if he could Google it since he was the repair person doing the job for a customer and he said no, then stated he was owed $90 for his service call. I asked him if he could direct us in locating the part and he again told us he was owed $90. I asked him if customer service meant anything to him and told him that he was being very rude and he turned around and walked out without even putting the freezer back together. We ordered the part from another company and my husband installed it easily. What a terrible company with terrible service! I would never contact them again! He was rude and arrogant from the moment he walked into the house.

Ive purchased several appliances at Ajay and the experience couldnt have been smoother, quicker, or more professional. Ive purchased a dishwasher and washing machine. The dishwasher had a defect in the door and their repair staff came out an repaired it promptly without issue.Yesterday, I ordered a dryer. As usual, the process was quick and smooth.

Nothing is more anxiety producing than making sure than an aged parent has a good AC in the Jersey summer. I called from LA to have the fellows at Ajay dig through their records to see what kind of AC we had bought there in 2004. They found the records, discerned what the latest equivalent would be, and within 2 days (from Saturday to Monday) replaced (deliver and installation) my dads AC in Holiday City. Lowes and Home Depot were mute on the idea of delivery, and we did not know who to call. So Ajay came through big time, and they will work with you (it IS Jersey after all) on the prices and take into account a senior citizens finances. They are willing to make deals but also, most importantly, to ensure that no one is put in danger, especially the elderly, without an AC. This is the third time we have worked with them, and they always come through. In an era of super-stores, its great to see a small business thriving and working hard for customer service. Thanks to Joe and Tim at Ajay.

The people are all easy to work with—both those in the store and the delivery people. All were quite knowledgeable about the products, which were comparable in price to the box stores. A call about a minor problem with a new dishwasher was handled quickly with a contact by them to the manufacturer. Problem solved. The price of appliances along with the personal service make this local store the place to shop.

These mom and pop shops are great . however, thier prices are high. They do have a great variety of fixed second hand and dent models. Thats why they got a 3 star.

I recently bought a 55 Panasonic TV for the waiting room of my business from Ajay Appliance. I am not an expert on appliances and did not want to have to become one in order to get the right TV for my business. The staff is extremely knowledgeable & helpful, I did not feel like I was dealing with a salesman but rather someone who genuinely wanted to help me find the right product for me. I would highly recommend Ajay appliance, great prices & selection, excellent customer service.

We purchased a refrigerator, gas range and gas dryer from them. We even removed all the existing appliances before they came to make it easier for them. This purchase was for my mother, we wanted to do something nice for her.The dryer came in damaged, they said they would be back in 2 days, which they did, and they installed the new dryer. However; 2 days later, there was no ice in the freezer, they told her she needed a technician and it would cost her a service call. The water is connected to the the ice maker and has water in the line via a 1/4 turn shut off five feet away. When we called for service, they told us we had to wait 5 days. My mothers home is less than 2 miles from their store. When we called back the next day to speak with management, they advised us to call GE. How hard is it to determine if your new ice maker is not functioning, when you have water going to it? Never Again
