Brought 2007 Buick LaCrosse in for service. Raj was very kind and considerate. We knew beforehand that the car needed the rack and pinion replaced amongst other things. Raj made sure the mechanics did a thorough job checking the car out. When we picked up the car we know someone whos an A1 Master mechanic who came with us. He said we got a phenomenal deal on all the work that was done. Thank you very much Raj. Please make sure you give our thanks to Mike as well. This Pep boys is now our go-to place for any car repairs!
I had an emergency and could not get a tire plugged even when they were not closing for 2 hours. Mike, who claims to be the supervisor, lacks the basic knowledge and customer service skills to understand why he even has a job. I doubt Pepboys built there business by telling customers to come back tomorrow! If you do not want to work, then GO HOME! Why do you even work here Mike?
My van on the lift for over an hour ( and still waiting) for a oil change & tire rotation. I watched the guy for 10 min. Either on his phone or playing with a oil filter wrench. First and last time here. I suggest bringing a chair to sit and watch the mechanics.

It’s hard to find reliable and honest auto shops out there. John Roam, Raj, and Geno run a tight ship at Pepboys. I needed service done on my car right away and they fit me into the schedule with ease, and the price was fair. My car is running great now and would definitely recommend these guys. Also great customer service as well.
The last time I was in this store was over 10 years ago. It was nice, clean, and well stocked. After my visit there today, I cant say that anymore! I has to use the bathroom and it was filthy! Totally disgusting! The store was a mess, no stock on the floor! So sad, it used to be such a nice place ☹️
I have gone to Pep boys 2 years in a row to get economical, yet safe and durable tires. Each time I was able to get pretty good tires for a great price and within my tight budget. I was even able to get a $50 Visa gift card each time I bought a set of 4 tires.They had a mail in rebate form that I utilized for the money back.I wish I knew the names to all the mechanics that have helped me in the past, but each visit they seemed to be extremely thorough and friendly. Bob at the front desk is always a pleasure, and hes also very patient in fielding all of my questions and concerns before having his team service my car. Lee, the manager, has also been very kind to me, and in fact, Ive had nothing but a consistently easy and pleasurable experience at Pep Boys Toms River.

The staff is doing the absolute best they can given the current state of covid. Wait time for help is a little longer than usual but it is worth it if you need knowledgeable people.
Terrible customer service with a run down parking lot area, disgusting dirty store and waiting area. They would not honor my online appointment time because it didnt show on their schedule. The person waiting on me would not make any accommodation for me and wanted me to leave the car for several hours to install 2 tires. Go to the Brick location they know how to treat customers.
I’m so thankful for the managers at Pep Boys in Toms River. I was having issues with my brakes and Lee and Geno made sure to inspect my car completely before doing any work. Best prices and trustworthy guys! Highly recommend.

Came in to get tire repair patch on my tire that was losing air. At 440 pm. Sign says they close at 5. Nope I guess you close at 440. Change your sign to say dont come in near closing time. We wont help. That would be more accurate.

Went in here on a weekend . Saw 3 employees wearing masks on there chins and one not wearing one at all. I thought to ask to speak to a manager but she was working right beside them and seemed to careless. Very shocking and embarrassing to see
I picked up a set of wiper blades today and dealt with David. Well I call out both extremely bad customer service/sales when I see it and I praise great customer service skills when I see it. He was warm, knowledgeable, and super nice guy. Had some service work done here also which was good. They have tons of good options for cleaning, auto parts and helps having good people behind the counter to point us customers in the right direction.

I found my experience with Pep Boys very enjoyable. Although, I spent a lot of money, I was impressed with the help I received especially from store associate Darrin. As soon as I started talking with him, I felt comfortable with him.
I came in for a warranty alignment on Thursday, and told you need an appointment, so I had it setup for Saturday 9am. I come that Saturday, 9am they finish my alignment and try to up sell engine mounts and front struts. Okay, I understand! When I get on the road vehicle starts pulling to the right. I go back and thay say its on specs but why is it pulling I asked. You need engine mounts. What? What again?My engine mounts was fine Chrysler dealer said so. Make a long story short.The lack of discussion making irresponsible group Ive ever came in contact with. Even with my transmission service no leak coming leak leaving. Than they look at you like your stupid for complaining about the service.
I had to make an appointment on short notice and even though I was late, Mark and Cory took great care of my cars needs. They updated me about the services suggested and the price points, and they finished super fast so I could get home!!
The salesman was helpful in choosing the best wiper blades for my car and the installer put them on in 5 minutes, while it 2as snowing. The blades are perfect. I have used Pep Boys for years, and the salesman also gave me the paperwork to get a rebate on my purchase. Love these guys!

Same store different location, pep boys in Brick was much more honest and helpful than Toms river pep boys. Same car same tires, mount and balance, pep boys Brick $15.99, pep boys Toms River. $25.99 and they wanted to argue with me. Do yourself a favor and don’t go to Toms River.
Just went in to TR pepboys to see if they have a part I needed. Women behind the parts counter looked as if I was bothering her. Then I asked if she could look a part up and she blatantly refused.So I just walked out. 12:30 pm Monday june 8th 2020.
Pep Boys lets see couple days ago I ordered set of four tires for Mike Toyota Corolla which is the wifes car and the guy gave me appointment for today so I show up at 2 and there was a mistake made that they thought I was dropping my car off I explained to him that no I wasnt dropping it off that the tires were ordered a couple days ago so that I could come in and get my tires put on and drive out with it after about 5-10 minutes the manager literally pulled my car in and did it himself I walked out of there wet for tires brand new balanced new valve stems check my car over and that man busted his butt to make my car done and make me happy I have nothing but good things to say about Pep Boys in Toms River New Jersey good job guys

Got a set of brand new tires for my 2011 F150 for only $408. 00 and I have a lifetime warranty for $55. 00 anything happens to my tires they will replace them for free. I forgot to tell you that they are also speed balanced. And they sure came in handy with the blizzard we had in January 2018. My trucks only A2 wheel drive and it went through the snow like a four-wheel drive thanks to those new tires from Cooper. Thank you Pep Boys.

I had paid for an online order and had my father pick it up as I live in another state. I had called the day before and was told that him picking it up wouldnt be a problem. The staff was incredibly nasty to him in the store and wouldnt release the item I already paid for. I was told to call customer service because they had technical difficulty with a glitch in the system. Miraculously, the charge to my card had appeared while I was on hold on the phone. Really awful way to treat your customers. Terrible customer service in store. I will shop elsewhere where you are treated with courtesy and respect. Please reeducate your staff.

More selection of parts than other brand name auto parts stores. Called them up, asked if they had it, and less than 5 mins I was there picking it up and installing it in my car just as quick.
This location is quite nice. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I worked with the manager (forget her name) but she was great! If you need automotive support, this is a great stop.

While my son was driving to the shore on the parkway, an engine coolant hose blew up in his older car. Car was towed to Pep Boys based on a recommendation, and we were delighted by the speed of diagnosing the blown head gasket. Lee, the service manager, was professional and very accommodating until we made arrangements to have the car salvaged.
If youre looking for parts that dont appear on the website, call the store or visit in person and ask for Nancy. Shes extremely pleasant, helpful, and goes to extra mile for every customer. I couldnt get the right parts at AutoZone or Advance, but Nancy found everything we needed for a successful distributor rebuild on our 1977 Lincoln.
Let me just say Ive had my car in PepBoys before and always thought they were on the high side of pricing but it was whatever. This time I had my car towed there that wouldnt start. They identified the starter was the issue. They called me and tried to tell me it would be $1300.I knew that was insane so I tried to have them at least breakdown the math for me. They couldnt even do that!$550 for labor$200 for battery (yea right)$300 for starterThats 1050 and tax. They just make up numbers this place. I had it towed down the road to Tranz Connection. Owner charged me $550 for everything and no I didnt need a battery. The fuse blew which he replaced for free. Pep Boys is a rip off.

Got 4 new tires, they were very accommodating. Didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. My only small complaint is that the tech was definitely not in a hurry. Took a little over an hour to change out my tires. Overall, very satisfied

Okay. We got the WRONG BRAKE SHOES. Gave them make model etc VIN. We are original owners. After driving the car makes extreme grinding sound. Starts snowing. Stress level through the flipping roof. We thought there was a diferent problem now. Be careful. They do NOT know what they are doing.
Great store.Mechanics seemed unknowledgeable.Wouldnt take my car here without knowing how to double check the work done. But I used to be a mechanic.(Maybe i just talked to the new guy.)We did have one issue where we called ahead and asked if they had something. They said yes. When we got there they told us they were out.In hindsight, when we asked if they had something and they immediately responded yes... They probably didnt go look and just assumed.
I highly recommend Pep Boys of Toms River. Yesterday my daughters and I were headed down to the beach and when we were about ten minutes away my battery light went on. I knew this was not a good sign and figured I would pull into the first service place I saw. Thankfully for us it was Pep Boys. I received wonderful service all around. Although they were booked solid with appointments they understood that I was stuck being over an hour away from home. They arranged for a Lyft to take us to the beach so we were able to enjoy our day. Lee kept me up to date throughout the afternoon on what was wrong and when it was being fixed. Once the car was done they sent a Lyft to pick us up. I am normally not good in situations like this. But Pep Boys took good care of me and kept me calm. Their pricing eas also very fair. I appreciate their professionalism and kindness and would tell others to absolutely use their services!
Side parking lot is crazy, abandoned cars, and severely over grown shrubs, you have to pull halfway out in the road to see in either direction. This place has gone downhill, since the remodel

I always get my oil changes here but lately I have noticed the tension between the associates. I work in retail myself and it was easy to tell when a lot of commotion was going on. The team members did not see confident in their ideas and it really made me question their ability to do a simple oil change. Then I thought maybe they are having a bad day but when i went in to buy a wipers the next week there was all these grumpy faces. It was very uninviting to come in at all. The service manger was not helpful at all looking like i did not know what i was talking about. Just for a heads up just because i am a female doesnt mean i dont know anything about cars or that you can trick me. Will not be back.
Very upset as I called and was told I could drop off my car for a oil change but it would be a couple hours. So I dropped it off at 1 and went back at 5 to get it figured it would be done even though they didnt call. Well it wasnt touched.

My Father in Law went to Pep Boys for my oil change, when I got my truck back, had grease all over hood, oil all over engine, oil light still on not to mention my Father in Law had to wait a hour and half when he had appointment for the oil change . next morning brought the truck back to pep boys to have them clean it up and turn light off they were not concerned at all. no apology the manager didnt even come out. when they finished the manager said your truck is outside and that is all I heard from him! Very unprofessional. It all trickles for management down. If the manager doesnt care then neither does the staff! would never recommend this place to anyone!

Service department allows you to make appointments for service online, then they call you right before your appointment saying there is no availability. The schedule shows empty for every time slot. Mark cancels appointments when the schedule is empty

Absolutely terrible customer service! Rude manager and short bald service advisor yells at employees and was beyond rude to my 3 year old daughter who was crying. The manager seems scattered and unable to control his shop, employees not working, and horribly dirty work environment for the technicians. Cancelled my oil change as the oil cans were full of dirt and left on the ground. Someone needs to shut this place down asap!
Pep Boys use to be somewhat of a decent place to go get your car work done. Nowadays not so much. Seems like the focus more on the retail section rather than the actual work that goes into your car. Came in because I needed one tire replaced on my car and had to sit for two hours before they actually pulled it into the shop. There are 6 bays to work in the Toms River store. With only three customers waiting for work to be done you would think I could get out a little bit faster. And another thing, its always good when the service managers are talking in the open store area with customers listening about how they have to send a certain mechanic for drug testing because they speculate usage.
Its your basic Pep Boys, exactly like every other. It smells like tires, and the oil and fluids are at the back of the store. Not much else to say, really. The staff seem nice.
Retail portion of the store is decent, but the service part of the store is terrible. Been here a few times and have had cars misdiagnosed and extremely long wait times for work when it was diagnosed correctly at other times. Never really a good service experience. Other repair shops in the area are much better.
Somewhat disappointed with this store. I have been shopping there quite a bit and had my car serviced a couple times oil change wiper blades etc. Was disappointed a couple of times when mechanic installed wrong size blade on rear window and when it rained blade got stuck.under overhang and had to go back to get replaced. Then windshield blades were stealing windshield and making noise. Going back down to get fixed and I get rear ended $8000 damage to car. Manager very sympathetic and gives me a set that works. Next I get stopped by a cop because my right rear stop light isnt working. Store opens at 730 am and I get there at 740 am and I am told no mechanics are in until 8am and they have 50 appointments booked and I will need to wait hours to have a brake light bulb replaced! I drove back home and went to local gas station and they took care of it in 3 minutes.
They are so slow. Worst service I have ever experience. Took them over 6 hours just to do an oil change. I understand there were 5 cars ahead of me, but they have 6 bays to bring cars in. Seriously I think they like sitting with their thumbs up their a**es and taking their jolly old time. Need to evaluate their service tremendously, and get the little things out of the way, LIKE AN OIL CHANGE. Dont go here if you want to waste your time!

Went into the store for a simple body clip and asked for assistance. Wouldnt verify if this was the correct part and pushed me to go see the dealership. Good way to not generate business and waste my time!
