This is the second time I have taken my car here. I’m happy with this place. They are honest hard working people. I trust bringing my car to them. They don’t push for things my car doesn’t need. I appreciate that. I have been to other places and they never really solved the problem. (STUNADS)

Ive taken my car here multiple times and Ive never been satisfied with their quotes. Theyre constantly trying to sell me on things I dont need. I forget the specifics one time but they told me that what I needed couldnt be done unless I did something else and it was going to be over 2 grand. I said no way, give me my car back. The guy said wait, hold on, let me see if we can get around this. Sure enough, he came back with a more reasonable quote. That was last year, 2020. Now this time all I need is a headlight lens and I get it, they arent sold without the whole unit. But if i tell you I need a piece of plastic to cover my headlight and you call me back and tell me that itll be $700, you wasted your time even calling me. That price tells me that you did NOTHING to try and actually help me and have no problem ripping me off. Despite the fact that I am a AAA member and have been there multiple times in the last year alone. And every single time I have had a bad experience. If you can avoid this place, you absolutely should. They are not honest people.

I recently wrote a very negative review about AAA. I’m actually back to right a retraction. After having some problems w AAA. They surprised me and did what most business won’t. They did what ever they could to rectify the problem. You don’t see that very often anymore. And I commend them very much for it. I’m here to say I was wrong about AAA. And I would suggest their services to everyone. AAA is truly 5 stars!

They were phenomenal not only did they email me a temporary card. They had a tow truck at my house within 40mins extremely impressed.

While they dont have a lift for 2500s or bigger. The staff is still very good and referred me to a AAA that could handle trucks.

They have had my car for 2 full days and I haven’t heard a word from them, called twice today and the phone rang for a while, nobody answered. Will be going there to take the car to another service station .

Vanessa was very helpful when I first called. She was friendly and answered all of my questions. She was also patient with me as I needed to confirm which plan I would choose. She explained her own personal experience with a plan and I appreciated the insight. I asked and she provided her direct extension. When I called her back she was just as friendly and helpful and assisted me with transferring me for a tow.

Went there today to get a 6 month old AAA battery replaced and the guy at the desk told me if you don’t have a receipt, I can’t replace it. Can’t use my member ID to look up the purchase date? No. You would have to call AAA to come out and replace it. Thanks for wasting my time.

Was pleasantly surprised. Oil change and tire rotation only, but given discount as first time customer. Very friendly staff. Fast service, easy to make appointments on line, with confirmation call. Will definitely use again.

Absolute OUTSTANDING. Having AAA Premium membership is worth every penny. A driver was dispatched to jump start my car. Even though you are told to anticipate less than an hour wait, the driver arrived within 15 minutes.He tested my battery and told me the problem was definitely the battery not the alternator or starter. I drove home.The next morning I had to call again, the battery was completely dead.Again, a driver took less than 15 minutes to arrive.I did not know that premier membership covers the cost of a new battery AND installation with warranty.My car was towed to the AAA service center at 10pm.The next morning I was called to tell me that my car was ready.Went in, signed, and drove away.Excellent service,

Employees are friendly and helpful. Yes, management likely pushes them to try and get you to buy expensive repairs that while could be justified are not always necessary. They seem thorough with their *free* inspection during the oil change so if there is a problem they will alert you to it, and you are not forced to buy the repair so I like the service. I would recommend them for oil changes, other stuff they are probably ok, but you are gonna have to pay up.

I was stranded by progressive road side assistance for over 4 hours in a highly traveled busy town. AAA came to the rescue even though I didn’t yet have an account.Following this, I was alerted that day to the fact that AAA offers home and auto insurance (that also happened to match or beat the cost of Progressive) from a friendly neighborhood AAA.I am so grateful for this connection

Just got ripped off again at AAA Car Repair for $156! This is the only place i have my car serviced up today! Well, today, go in for oil and air filter change - routine - They BREAK MY OIL DIP STICK costing $65 just for the part and claim it corroded! Big deal, waive labor cost!! How is that possible inside the oil system in which they service??? TRAPPED AGAIN by an incompetent organization good in extortion.......looking for an honest, reliable and reasonable service organization .....this is after being a customer for 10 + years!!!

My favorite place to get my oil changed that Ive ever been to!Their repair shop is 100% honest and thats the most important thing to me.They dont try to sell unnecessary services and the charts they have explaining fluid levels in the waiting area -- and on the sheets they hand out -- are really helpful.Probably the only service station Ive never had a bad experience at and everything they offer is extremely affordable.Theyre also relatively quick and speaking of the waiting area - its really clean and comfortable.I wish AAA had these types of shops in other states, because theyre the best at what they do.

I went to AAA for an oil change last week. I prefer to go here rather than a dealer. I feel like the dealer find things wrong with the car that arent really wrong and suggests unnecessary work. AAA only tells me real problems with my car and suggests necessary repairs and maintenance. Thats a refreshing change to my car repair experiences.

Did not receive any offer of courtesy inspection that the rep asked the previous customer and stated in my receipt that I declined the complementary check. Otherwise service was fadt

AAA, the people to call if your vehicle needs a tow, jumpstart (or on the spot replacement battery if yours is dead), flat tire change, out of gas, locked out of your car or pretty much any roadside assistance you may need. Quick response if you are not in a safe location (anywhere other than safely off the roadway) & if you are in a safe location response is usually between 30-60 minutes at the most. My experience has been as quickly as 20 minutes from the time I called & the longest was 85 minutes on a single digit temperature day with a jumpstart in my driveway (heavy call volume for dead batteries).

Best place I have ever been to. I went into get and oil change. The mechanics and service writer was super friendly. The manager was there and brought me out to the car and showed me what they recommended. I saw everything my self. I have been an AAA member for 15 years and I love this place. Friendly staff. They gave me a ride home so I dont have to sit and even delivered the car to me. This is too knoch service and great employees

I have been dealing with Sharon F. for years now, and Im thinking about building a shrine to her. She knows what our group likes, anticipates (with incredible accuracy) what we may be interested in, makes recommendations the demonstrates quite an insite and has never had a question that she could not answer. I am a fussy traveler...a throw back to the corporate days (fussy but not unreasonable)....and my concerns, needs and wants have all been addressed in a very prompt and professional manner. To borrow from an insurance ad.......I am a Sharon client for life!!!!!

I am a AAA member, and visited the Toms River office on route 37 East this morning (10.04.2019) to obtain my international drivers permit (IDP) for an upcoming trip to South Africa. I was promptly, and curtiously met by staff persons especially Vanessa W. who provided a pleasant, and professional experience ! For all your AAA needs, this is the place !

Mike and Brandon at the car care center are the best. These two deserves raises for everything they helped me out with. If you need car help, definitely go to them. They will do everything in their power to help you. I could not have asked for better service.

I see negatives I see positives. Most people want to complain online but its only one side. I have never had a bad experience at any AAA from roadside to auto repair. Sometimes they are more expensive sometimes they are cheaper. Sometimes they make mistakes and correct them. I have always felt they are honest people and do get jobs. I have done and booked travel to doing car repair. From car repair to have insurances. This place is by far is the most convent honest place I have been to. And I been around a long time to know... fastest same day service I been to

I took my car in for an oil change and got the high pressure, up-sell pitch that my 2012 Toyota Camry with 69,000 miles needed over $2000 worth of repairs including new struts. The service adviser had me in tears telling me car wasnt safe to drive and that I should replace the car if I didnt do these repairs immediately. I stood my ground, just had the oil change and took my car to a mechanic recommended to me. Indeed I did need new brakes and 2 new tires....the bill was under $900....my struts are fine. BEWARE...i was told the service advisers only get paid if they up-sell additional work on top of the oil change. What an unfair way to compensate their service advisers which leads to unfair and unethical treatment of customers. I have trusted in the AAA name for over 40 years. This horrific experience ended that.

Brought my car in to check the brakes and was told that the brakes were good. 29 days later brought the car back again and was told that not only did i need brakes but that all 4 rotors were severely warped. They lost a long standing customer on how they handled this situation.

My car was towed to this facility with a dead battery and on check engine light. Service person convinced me the problem was the alternator and replaced it and the battery. Tow truck operator had tested the alternator and said it was functioning. Returned the car to me with check engine light on and charged $900. Easy money for them, scamming people.

My Father (who is a Senior Citizen, a Marine Veteran and a former Captain of the Hoboken Fire Dept.) brought his 2009 Honda Pilot to this shop for diagnosis. They gave him an estimate for new shocks, struts, O2 sensors and a catalytic converter - altogether ~$4,000.00! We then brought the same vehicle to a trusted shop and found that all the vehicle needed was a fuel system cleaning and rear shocks ($445.00 total). AAA Toms River Car Care Insurance Travel Center should be ashamed. They are a heinous and disreputable shop and shouldnt be in business. They should also know that we ALL will grow old one day - noting that I hope they dont meet with the same disappointment they caused my Dad when theyre at their most vulnerable.

Took my car in for new brakes, rotors and tires. Asked Maureen at the desk to let me know how long it would be so my husband and I could decide whether or not to wait or come back being that we had our baby with us. I asked her three times if she could tell us how long so we could just come back, every time the answer was that they are almost done. We ended up being there for three hours! This would have been absolutely fine if they had just told us to come back. When I finally got my car back it made weird sounds on the way home. By this time we needed to get the baby home so we couldnt go back. I called them the following day and they told me to bring it in the next day. On the way back to their shop something fell off the front of the car and I could hear dragging. Turns out they didnt tighten the bolt to the caliper enough and it fell off! How dangerous if I had been driving on the parkway! They offered to give us money back for the labor of that wheel in the form of a check. They couldnt just give us a refund. It took three months to get the check when we were told three weeks. I had to call over and over again requesting the status of the check and they kept telling me they mailed it already. Finally after three months ONE check showed up a few days after the 10th phone call to them. I learned my lesson. AAA may be trusted if youre stranded on the side of the road but I would NEVER bring my car to one of their service shops again.

I brought my van in to the Toms River AAA Facility. It ran fine but sounded like the exhaust was falling off when I stepped on the gas. They gave me a print out for over a 1000.00 worth of repairs. Over 600 just for changing 6 spark plugs and wires. I couldnt afford what AAA wanted to charge me and had to pay a fee for their diagnosis which I felt was a run of the mill tune up fee.I took the van to Marcs Auto RepairMarc and his mechanic found that a couple nuts came off bolts on a connector at the exhaust. I was only charged for the time it took to perform the repair which was less than what AAA charged me to provide the wrong diagnosis. Shame on AAA.Thankfully there is still an honest shops like Marcs in Toms River.
