This is my first experience at this Honda dealer. I arrived at the scheduled time, was given info about what was to be done for routine maintenance and approximate cost and time I would wait. The work was completed in less time than estimated.The only disappointment was that the service contract that I signed with the Honda dealer that I leased from and am presently paying for the length of the lease, is not transferable and can only be redeemed at Planet Honda. I no longer reside near that dealership so this is a major inconvenience for me( but does not reflect on this Honda dealer in Toms River). I opted to pay for the service anyway. I appreciate that Tom, the rep who dealt with me, was up front about this issue prior to my decision to elect the service.The waiting room was comfortable enough and the seating areas were spaced out enough to accommodate social distancing. The rest room was clean.

Each time I’ve visited the Honda Service Department I was greeted promptly and they quickly got the process rolling of getting my CRV serviced...I needed new brakes at my most recent visit. Mike was clear concerning the service involved as well as the cost. He even got me a ride home so I wouldn’t have to wait around for a few hours. Once my car was ready, they picked me up from home. I had a nice ride back to Honda with Chris who enthusiastically told me all about turbo-charging...When I arrived back at Honda, Mike was ready with my paperwork and I was on my way home within minutes. My brakes work great....Overall, a very nice experience...
I was able to trade my lease in ahead of schedule and get a brand new CR-V! It was so easy and a very pleasant experience. My dad also got a new car. We worked with Jay and Izzy and couldn’t have asked for better customer service!

This was the easiest car buying experience I’ve had since my 1st car. No hassles, no last minute issues. My salesperson was knowledgeable in regards to the Honda Odyssey I purchased. Showed me a couple of items I might not have noticed until much later. I am extremely happy with my Odyssey and would send my friends and family there without a second thought.

I want to thank Toms River Honda for their amazing service this morning. My son had purchased a 2019 Honda Civic from Carmax. After driving the car home we realized the AC was not working properly. We brought the car to Toms River Honda -Carmax was over an hour away- the service department was amazing. It turns out that the AC condenser in the car was known to have issues. We were told told it would take about 3 hrs to complete the replacement of the condenser. Service manager gave the repair request to the best mechanic who can replace it in a timely manner -I was waiting at the service department- it only took about 2 hours. Tech kept in touch with me via text messages. I asked him to check oil etc. he did so without hesitation and also provided a maintenance minder graph. I highly recommend Toms River Honda for your service needs

I had a check engine light come on first thing in the morning, and I just went to Honda of Toms River without an appointment. They took me in and they were prompt. They took me to and from work. They resolved my issue and were very courteous.

I took my car to get the AC fixed and had payed over 1,700 they took a while to give it back and in the end they didn’t fix anything. The car was returned to me in the exact same condition I took it in.

Strong sales team. So strong they backed me into a corner with a vehicle I can no longer afford. I remember being there with my brother and two of the sales team standing over me telling me to accept and that it would be a great deal, the smart decision. Well, I fell for it. Im sure they made a great commission off of me, but now I am stuck paying for a vehicle I cant afford.
Cannot say enough great things about my salesman Doug L. He listened to what I was looking for, provided amazing and courteous service and even though I had to be in and out within a 2 hour time window, he made the process of finding a new car at the price I needed seem like a walk in the park. I must say this is a very Reputable dealership to say the least. They have been super friendly and extremely helpful and very out going and understanding. My, let’s say first purchase went very smoothly and I was super happy and excited about my purchase, they even agreed to deliver the car to me since I had no way to get it back to my home since this is a second car and I wasn’t doing a trade in. This is we’re it gets very interesting and complicated at the same time, well the two gentlemen that were delivering my car to me the next day had gotten to exit 37 on the parkway and the check engine light came on so the manager told them to take it to Bennett Chevrolet to have it checked out before bringing to me. Well thinking it was going to be somewhat of a minor fix turned out to be a major issue. There was a part inside the transmission that went bad and as it turns out, the Chevy Spark has a sealed transmission so the only fix is to replace the transmission. When I was finally told what happened I really thought I was doomed and all kinds of thought were going through my head but the manager said they were trying to figure out the next steps to take at this point. After speaking to the higher up they actually worked out a deal for me with another car ( provided I liked it of course) at no additional cost and they would still deliver this car like the last deal that was made. The only down fall was I had to go back and test drive another vehicle which is not exactly around the corner. Well long story short It turned out that did like the car and made the purchase, sparing all the details of the red tape of the exchange. The dealership is super and I really can’t say enough nice things. Thank you Honda of Toms Rivers for your terrific service.

Very disappointed with my experience at this dealership! Purchased a new car yesterday and after getting home I see almost $3000 added to my loan for a service contract that we did NOT agree to. Why would we agree to such a thing for a brand NEW car! I called and spoke to the Finance guy Steve that was of no help and he put me through to speak to the Finance Manager Izzy. After going back and forth with Izzy, who was VERY rude, he said he would not take it off my loan and I should contact an attorney!!! I contacted Honda Care who has the service contract and was told that I can just cancel it but it wasnt in the system yet. My concern now is that its already a part of my loan! I filed a complaint with Honda and was told by them to speak to the Service manager at the dealership, Erik Thompson. I called and of course was told to leave a message. I doubt I will be hearing from him. If they dont take this service contract off my loan, I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs and BBB and pursue any avenues I can so that they dont continue these practices. I must say that my experience with my salesman, Allen Rosario was a good one and I was going to contact him for my next purchase, sorry Allen.
If I could I’ll give 0 stars, DONT BUY A CAR FOR TOMS RIVER HONDA! Horrible service in both sales and service. Service advisors and manager has no clue what they’re looking at or talking about bout your car. Purchased a vehicle from them a week later the car went back for issues service told me there’s nothing wrong with the vehicle I bought it to the dealer and the dealer said it needed all this kind of work. And now Honda don’t want to fix’s or pay. Never buy a car from them! And the GM manager Charlie thinks he knows who he is. I give 0 star and I will never buy a a car from them ever again
Dont recommend going here. Management and employees are sarcastic to customers and each other. This is your typical car buying experience. Rude, sarcastic, and aggressive. There are way better dealerships, left here and went and got a vehicle somewhere else the same day.

Had to take my newly purchased minivan in for recalls to be fixed. When I made the appointment they asked for all the vehicle information including the VIN. I was prepared to leave my vehicle for the day no problem because there were three recalls that needed to be fixed. I got a call in the afternoon that my vehicle was ready, but two things were not fixed because they didn’t have the parts and the door of the van wouldn’t be working because they took the faulty part out. Now I understand for safety not leaving the old part in but if you know the recalls that a vehicle is coming in for service on and you know the specific vehicle information why would that parts not be ordered in advance. It is an inconvenience to be without a car for one day let alone having to come back to have something fixed on three separate occasions. The service department needs to get organized because it’s honestly ridiculous. Will be going to a different Honda for service from now on.

I bought a 2020 HRV in September. I was due for an oil change and a service to ensure everything was still working well with the car because I commute frequently. My car was taken in right away and returned promptly. After the service, Robert Ramirez went over the inspection report. He was super helpful, knowledgeable, and explained everything with my service. Very happy with Honda of Toms River!

I was impressed that my salesman Doug stayed with me WAY past his time to go home, in order to make sure I could operate all the phone features in the car. Even after I told him Id figure it out, and to go home he insisted on educating me about the features. I felt so guilty, holding him up, but he insisted that he wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing. THATS customer service!!!

Im very pleased with the Passport I purchased/leased. A little disappointed that my salesperson didnt spend the time to show me all of the options as Im still reading and learning them on my own. I also submitted a voucher to receive a $25 Amazon gift card for taking a test drive. After reminding my salesperson a few times, and adding this to the numerous surveys I received, I still have yet to get the gift card. So beware of their advertising.
Check in for service needs to be more streamlined. Tiny little office with many people waiting, no social distancing protocols. What is valet area? No one comes out to you, is it for drop-off, pick-up, rental pick- up? Sign explaining valet would be helpful. Not a lot of spaces to park near service area. If waiting, make sure they know whos waiting or you may not realize your car is ready. Lounge area comfortable enough and spaced out enough for better social distancing. Lounge has amenities such as coffee and vending machines. They do good job with text/email reminders when service due

Honda of Toms River was exceptional during the servicing of my 2020 Honda Pilot. I dropped the car off at 4:30 PM on a Friday for routine service of an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection and received a call that the car was ready by 5:45 PM. I highly recommend Honda of Toms River for the servicing of your newly purchased vehicle.

Im very Impressed with this Dealership!!!!! The staff here are so Helpful. I didnt even purchase my car here but when the car was brought in Tom and the service department went right to work and find out what was wrong.Wines up car needs a new transmission.But Honda winds up paying for it because there a recall on the car for bad transmissions!!!!! Which would have cost me over 7500.00 to have repaired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So go Toms River Honda!!!!!! This customer will never go to another Dealership again,Thanks to Tom and everyone in the Service Department!!!!!!

I spoke to Lisa who was very courteous and knowledgeable. When I arrived for the appointment I spoke to Rob. He was also very courteous and knowledgeable. He did explain that the work was pretty extensive and that they would do their best to complete the job that day. I got a call a few hours later, earlier than expected, that the car was all done and ready to be picked up.
