Straight forward, upfront dealership. Very organized and efficient. This includes the website. I was able to pick out my car and complete most of the purchase remotely. Spent no more than an hour and a half at the dealer between two visits to leave a deposit and then pick up my car. Fred Heise, my sales consultant did a fantastic job and stayed in touch throughout the process. This included going through the vehicles operation and tech features before I left the lot. Best experience ever buying a car.

Thomas (TJ) Gardner was the perfect salesman. He was polite, never pushy, very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and when I asked something he didnt know the answer to, was quick to find out from someone who did. He was also very honest and I never felt like I was being mislead or talked into something I did not want. I cannot say enough good things about this young man! His service after the sale was also awesome. He spent a lot of time getting my insurance switched, filing out the paperwork, etc., then sat inside the car with me and explained each and every feature. I never felt rushed or undervalued as a customer. I bought my car there because they had the model I wanted and even though they knew Id be getting it serviced closer to where I live (about 1+ hour away), I was treated with every courtesy. Went to see a car that I saw on the website was posted 14300 $. We spoke to them on the phone and said our price range is not more then 15500$. They said we could work it out.We got there they set us up with a very nice salesman that I was very happy with but the one who was giving the orders was saying that the car cost with all the additional almost 18000$ after that we been told we can work it out in our price range. We told them not to even bring the car out because our price range is much less than this. They told us that they post the cars for less money on the market so people will come in. We should have leave after this because it’s already sounds horrible. Anyway they brought the car out And we thought because they understood that my budget is 15500$. I saw the car. Not exactly what I was looking for but I liked it. We sat down I made an offer for 15500$ and the salesman comes back that it 17 something. Like why waste my time when I said right from the beginning my budget? So unfair. I said never mind I was wasting my time and they were wasting their time. After that somebody else came I assume this person who was giving the orders to the salesman and make an offer for 16 something. Still not the price I was telling from the beginning. I was not happy with this place and how they managed this whole situation. And even though I told them 10 times I still got a phone call and another offer for 17000$.Very unsatisfied with the place. The salesman was nice did an excellent job but whoever was giving the orders didn’t.

This dealership overcharges on fees. They overcharged me $1000 on taxes and it took me 2 months of questioning and explaining to more than 1 person at the dealership to get a refund. They also overcharged $200 for registration and title fees, which they did not refund to me. Part of the $500 they charge for doc fees I also asked to be refunded since the documentation was not handled properly. I did not get a refund for that either. A notification from the state is what caused me to discover the over charges. I provided documentation for the over charges and I had to argue just to get the partial refund. The car already cost higher than the advertised price on the internet... another hidden fee. I would not recommend this dealership.

Hi I called to speak with someone about a car a couple months ago I think. Back then this Corolla XLE was about 27950k and I offer to pay the full amount and they offered me a discount to 26500k. In the end I rejected the offer. Then the next day I see they lower the price to the amount they offered me. So what was that? If I would have bought for the higher price then they wouldn’t have told me that the next day they were planning to lower the price? So what was that? I also felt too pressured and I didn’t like the way the seller was talking to me and pushing too much.

Get a hard copy of your contract from them, not just a thumb drive. Its much easier to look over then there desk top screen. Just so happens three weeks after the deal I realized they did not put my $500 deposit towards my down payment. Buyer beware, I tend to think this is probably common practice with them, hoping youll forget cause youll probably never going to look at that thumb drive !!

Terrible experience. Twice there. Two bad sellers. Still a prospective buyer. Josh was very bad with me over the phone. I have a story to tell. I had written all of it and for some reason it all got erased.

Gateway sales staff were very polite in welcoming me into the showroom. They made an offer on the car that I wanted to lease. We did not make a deal on the first visit. The sales person called me the following day with an offer that I accepted. I went back that afternoon and drove out with the car I wanted at a fare price. Took my vehicle for a software upgrade and the dealer had to replace some parts of the rear seat they broke during the previous visit. My car had 495 miles of gas left on the tank and the gas gauge was between 3/4 and full at the time I dropped off, when I got my car back, it had 424 miles of gas left and the gas gauge was on the 3/4 mark. I talked to the manager there and he would make excuse after excuse not recognizing the problem. I had pictures he didnt even want to see them or ask for them. (My advice is: take a picture of the information center display before dropping your car and if you have an issue report it to toyota customer service like I did. Maybe this way they are going to stop this! Dont trust gateway toyota service! Shame on you gateway toyota!

We just had the worst experience here in bad business practices. We called last night about a used car. They said it was available. We asked to leave a deposit and they said we couldnt. We set out early this morning. We received a call when we were in the car from the dealership to ensure we were coming. When we got there 20 minutes later, we were told the car was just sold and they offered to sell us a more expensive car. Buyer beware. Nothing has changed in world of sleezy car dealership practices.10-4While I appreciate the manager reaching out to me, I feel less than satisfied by his response. He explained that the person who called me to come in had no idea that the car was sold. I am skeptical since everything is on a centralized computer. I sincerely doubt anything about this operation will change in the future. Again, buyer beware.10-20 Follow upJust bought the exact same used car from Ray Cantena in Larchmont with a total opposite experience. We saw the car on the internet, they accepted our deposit over the phone and the car was held for us for a week while the dealership obtained title. There was no bait and switch or lying. We were treated with the utmost respect and honesty. I take back what I said about all dealerships being sleazy. Apparently it is just Gateway Toyota.

Wow what a big waste of time. After several emails with Jaimie Dziekan CONFIRMING (snap shots of emails attached) that they charge MSRP plus dealer fees and taxes and that they are not like other dealers charging thousands on markups, I made the ride all the way down to Toms River. Low and behold as another sales rep was doing my paper work I asked them what the doc fees were. He tells me its $499 plus a mandatory appearance package fee of $1390. I asked him what the $1390 includes. He tells me it includes door edge moldings and pinstriping. I tell him I dont want that. He tells me thats fine but we still have to charge it whether you want it or not. I said well there ya go, theres your MARKUP. I dont know about you but charging $1390 for something that costs probably $200 is a MARKUP to me. Jaimie Dziekan knows this is a dealer policy as its clearly written in the paper work. I understand the current situation with demand and supply, but why not just be transparent about the cost and let the consumer decide if they want to pay it or not. BIG BIG BIG waste of time, but KUDOS to Jaimie Dziekan for getting me into the dealer by straight up lying in WRITING. I wish I can give negative stars because that is more than they deserve.

Took my vehicle to Gateway for a simple alignment and I get a call the next day, that they could not complete the alignment because of the lift I had just installed on my truck. It was a simple 3 inch lift on the front end. I called the manufacturer of the lift and several other auto mechanic shop’s about this and it didnt seem to be an issue. I also wanted to get 4 tires mounted which the desk clerk said it would be $30 per tire. Outrageous. I got several other quotes for $17, $20, and $22 per tire around town. I’ve now gotten my vehicle alignment and tires mounted. I will never use Gateway again. Customer service and knowledge is key. When the customer knows more than the shop. Not a good look.Thanks.

I purchased a 2021 Toyota Sienna and wanted to have the wiring taped with rodent proof wrap, having had a bad experience recently with another car, where the wires were chewed by a squirrel. The job was done at a reasonable price (lots of wires on a hybrid) and done in a couple of days. I have been a customer for the past 5 years, having had 3 different Toyota Vans. I have found their service to excellent, timely and reasonable.

All I can say is I am completely disappointed with Gateway Toyota. Purchased a my 3rd Camry here. 2021 Camry XSE, in January. The sunroof completely. shattered into pee glass. Service told me its my problem, file with my insurance company....so now I own a 2021 camry with a shower curtain sunroof.Dont buy Toyota!!!!!

No call saying that the car was sold. Very inconsiderate. I’d never buy from these people for the simple fact that they clearly don’t care about their customers. No need to try to trick me into looking at other trucks if you can’t be considerate enough to let me know that you sold the one I was looking at.

It was ok. No real pressure. I went with my son who is leasing a car. They didnt have the one he wanted by no fault of their own. My son is picky and stuck to his guns. Good for him. They are doing their best to get him the right color and features. It should take a couple of days they said. So thats good.will update if needed.
