I was looking for an uncommon part for my washing machine, they didnt have in stock. The gentleman helping me was informative and professional, I could have had the part ordered or if I would have brought the part with me, he probably could have found something to get me by in the meantime.

I called to ask if he buys used washers and dryers. He acted like he didnt have time for me and said, nobody really does that anymore. I got off the phone and called Bates Appliances. Bates is coming out this afternoon to for a pick-up and offered to buy them. I dont mind rude people, but I do have a problem with incompetence.

We have used this shop several times over the years. I saw the reviews and immediately assumed the lower stars must be because of the man who usually answers the phone. After reading the reviews, I was correct! Lets just say he might not have the best interpersonal skills over the phone, but if you can get past that, he knows his stuff! We have saved a lot of $ with his expertise. And if the part doesnt work, he has exchanged the part for the right one. He may not have time to make you feel all nice and fuzzy, but he seems to know what hes doing. Our experience has mostly been with our washer and dryer.

Called to look for a part cant say the guy was rude but short, and no real interest to help just disengaged. I am no longer interested to work with this place and found the part elsewhere. In the past have always called Pruitt Appliance who I have dealt with for years and always been competent and helpful.

I have done business with company several times over the years. Most of time it has been very good experience. I have a few bad times with them. I will continue to support the small business in our city. I understand the staff their is in high demand and that they are very busy.

The guy who answered the phone was totally rude. I asked about a part, he explained that he probably has one, and as I was getting ready to read the part number off he abruptly told me to just bring it in and Ill check it here and then... hung up!! I will never do business with this place. Id rather wait weeks for a part to ship than to deal with such a rude business.

I called looking for a part with brand of appliance, model# and part name that I was looking for. The guy I talked to said this was not good enough information and I needed to call the service center of my appliance to get the part # for him, then he could look it up. I said then what good are you, and he said I have the part you need and laughed at me. I have never been treated this bad from a business before. They must have plenty of business to be able to treat customers like this. This guy was the most rude and arrogant person I have ever dealt with.

I called different stores around Topeka in search of a dryer belt for my Kenmore dryer. I called Major Appliance to inquire next. The gentleman answering my phone call was very condescending and rude. Everyone knows that parts for automobiles, machinery, appliances, etc. are hard to get hold of the same day you need it. Often you’re waiting on the UPS guy to bring your ordered part to you days later. So after placing a few calls failing to find my dryer belt, the Major Appliance man did answer my questions, as he laughed at me with an insulting, patronizing tone. And YAY, he probably has my part, but I’m sure not going there!

NEVER do business with these crooks! Wrong part given and refused to give a refund. Showed up with the receipt and new part and the employee told me to sell it because its not his problem. Major Appliance is the absolute worst! Take your business elsewhere and buy online, its much cheaper and they actually care about paying customers. Hope these crooks get shutdown.

Received 3 different prices for the same part. On Wednesday on the phone I was told $52. Stopped in on a Thursday to make sure it was in stock was told part was $47. Said I would be back Tuesday to get part. Tuesday morning now part is $69. Was told evidently the other person was looking at the wrong part number. The younger guy working seems honest. The older guy not so much.

Inspired by a coworker who fixed her own dryer I turned to YouTube to fix mine. I figured out how to take it apart and discovered I had a broken belt. It was late and Im a busy person so I ordered the belt online figuring it would take me a while to get to a store and not knowing where to go anyway.Belt came in and I went back to YouTube. Got the drum off and realized more than just the belt was broken. In the meantime I had found out there was a local shop who sells parts. They didnt answer their phone Saturday afternoon so I went in Tuesday, May 24. I talked to the guy and he told me what I needed. He went in back to get parts and as he did he said okay you need a belt and... I told him I had a belt I bought online. He came back without getting the idler pulley I thought he was getting and said I should call eBay because theyll talk To you all day, dont you know.I left because he clearly didnt want to do business with me. I got home and looked at the chart that came with my belt and yes I definitely need an idler pulley. So this guy decided not to do business with me because I bought a part online and then he mocked me.I called another place and even though they were closing they put aside a part for me to pick up later this week.Lesson learned: sometimes it does not pay to shop local. Sometimes someone like the guy at Major Appliance Parts will get in a huff and belittle you rather than prove to you that you should have shopped them first. If theyd been kind to me they would have had a customer for life. Now Ill just keep buying stuff online and at major chains when I need repair parts because the local proprietor is a jerk.

Called and spoke to a man named Dave over the phone. He found the park in stock and offered me a competitive price. Thanked him and said Id be there within the hour.However when I got there the older gentleman behind the counter was rude to the point of insulting. If the business owner reads this stuff might not be a good idea to have him out front taking care of customers. My wife and I almost walked out but needed the part .Unless they reach out to apologise I will not be going back not will I advise anyone to.

Quoted me $78 on the phone once I got there charged me $101. I said you quoted me $78 he looked at his computer screen again and charge me $101. I would have left without the part if I didnt need it badly. I would not recommend

Counter guy was nice, store is old timey. I stopped here because I was small businesses to succeed. However, when I order a part, and it costs triple what I can buy it for online, I will not be back for repeat business. Actually I had other parts to buy today, with the sticker shock though, Ill go elsewhere.

Called and asked the name of the associate I was speaking to and very rude and defiant attitude. Put me on hold and left me there. Tried to call back several times line was busy. Would not recommend this company.

Bought a part I thought I needed, he gave me a different price on the phone, when I got there he found out it was the only one I could find that day and I had to have it, he raised it 20 bucks, and said I must have misheard him... He made me pay the price he just gave another woman on the phone for a different part. Then when I couldnt get it fixed and still had the product unopened he wouldnt return it.

I called to get a price on a part, I had the part number that I found online. I was given a price for that with a crappy attitude.. Thats ok, people have bad days....I also thought I may need another part, i explained that I dont have a part number but I have the appliance model number. He told me that the part number would be on the part, and proceeded to ask me, dont you know what a timer is? Its like any other timer and this is how it works, but it wasnt in a helpful tone, it was snarky and rude and like he was talking to an idiot. I told him I am aware what a timer looks like and how it works, but that it is enclosed in the appliance, so I cant see the part to get the part number! And again offered the model number, he finally took the model number, after a few more snippy comments. Then told me that I had too many numbers. So I tell him, that Im looking at the sticker, that is the model number, there is a serial number as well if that will help. He says... I told you I need a model number, what good will a serial number do when I need the model number?! In the snarkinest, are you an idiot, demeaning tone possible!!!!!I have NEVER had anyone in customer service talk to me the way this man did. He could have called me horrible names and told me that my gender was inferior to his, and it wouldnt have angered me as bad as talking to me like Im a complete idiot in the tone and with the attitude that he did!This company seriously needs to teach thier employees how to talk to people who want to give them thier hard earned money! I am not one to complain when customer service is bad because everyone has bad days and you never know that the other persons circumstance is. HOWEVER, This was completely uncalled for. I would have rather spent my money locally, but I will never again do business with this company and Ill tell every person I know or associate with to do the same.

The old man that answers the phone is very rude and unfriendly and when i asked him to send a tech out he told me that he didnt have his information and to call back in a couple of hours the old man seems like hes unwilling to help anyone i think hes been doing it for to long and he needs to hang the apron
