Had a dryer that had stopped heating and had Pruitt since someone to check it out for me. Dave was the one that came and he was highly professional, pleasant and had it apart, a new heating element installed and done in no time. I dont normally rate businesses, but after weeks of consideration I decided to share my story. About 6 weeks ago I moved into my new house that included appliances. After being in my house for about a week or two, I decided to finally bake something. There was a spark, a loud pop, and smoke coming from behind the oven. I immediately turned it off and called Frigidaire. After multiple calls and many waiting periods, Frigidaire was finally able to contract a local business to fix my oven. Frigidaire scheduled my appointment for the following day. I was relieved because the holidays were vastly approaching. The customer service representative confirmed that the work order was in and that Pruitt would be at my house he following day, but she also told me to call Pruitt to verify and confirm. I thought it was odd, but called Pruitt as soon as I hung up with Frigidaire. The lady who answered the phone had a harsh raspy voice and sounded annoyed. I told her why I was calling and to confirm my appointment for the following day. She then told me that he wouldnt be going to my house the next day because they only come to my town (which is 20 minutes east on l-70) Once a week. I told her that the CSR at Frigidaire told me otherwise, but she again repeated that they wouldnt be coming out. I am not sure who in her life has hurt her that caused her to be so mean and cold, but shame on them. Despite the scheduling misunderstanding we were able to schedule for them to come out, but it had to fit in during a narrow and specific time frame. The gentleman who came to my house was kind to my partner and informed him that he ordered a new part for our oven. We did not receive a time frame, but we figured with COVID everything was up in the air. When the part arrived Raspy Voice Lady called to let me know and to schedule an appointment for a very specific date and time. Both my partner and I would be unavailable that date and time as we had to be at work. I told the lady I dont get home until 4 that day, in her signature rude tone she told me they werent going to go to my house that late and to call her back when I figured it out. She hung up. I was furious. Not because of the scheduling issues, but because of her rudeness and lack of empathy. I scrambled to find a family member that be at my house at that specific time and date. Finally i was able to find someone, called them back and confirmed the appointment. Several days past and it was one day before the appointment. I received a call from Pruitt in the middle of my work day. It was none other than Rude Raspy Voice Lady letting me know that they wouldnt be going to my house because the guy was exposed to COVID. She then hung up, again. I panicked because Thanksgiving was less than a week a way and I had already waited almost 4 weeks to get my oven fixed. I understood that the gentleman had to quarantine, but herterrible customer service skills were unneeded. Im all for supporting small business, but NOT with this woman or this business ever again. I called Frigidaire and they were able to send someone competent and kind to fix my oven, which they did in a timely manner.
Weve used Pruitt Appliance for yrs. Now. They are always helpful. Excellent service! Fast to server. One MEMORABLE experience was evening b4 Thanksgiving 2014 my oven was not heating. Services man Mike stop by my house on his way home and fix my oven. Saved our Familys Thanksgiving. Thank you.
A game of cancel and reschedule. If they ever show up to do a job, I would be surprised. Was trying to get flooring replaced but they were always having car trouble so they had to reschedule or would be HOURS late. 3x and over a month of dragging feet. Use someone else. (Contracted with them thru Lowes FYI )
My fridge quit over the weekend. I tried some basic things to get it cooling again, but couldnt get it working. I called Pruitt at 8:30 on Monday morning, and by 10:30 someone was at my house. I appreciated that they gave me a call when they were on their way so I could meet them without having to sit around and wait. After taking a look at it, the service person gave me a quote to fix it ($800) and told me I would probably be better off getting a new fridge. I appreciated their honesty, and will call on them again if I have issues with other appliances.
We made plans to have a service call in the following week (today, Monday) and when they called to confirm they had a different time slot than we had been told. Got the time slot fixed then Monday came. No one called or came during the time slot . I called and the lady was rude and didnt care. She couldnt tell me anything other than the repair guy would come sometime today. Theres a reason for a time slot I thought. Anyway I told her if they cannot pin point a time at least within an hour we would go somewhere else. She said ok and hung up. I called somewhere else and they are getting us in tomorrow and will know within the hour and will call me. Dont go with these people the lady that answers the phone is awful...customer service is not her strong suit. I can only imagine the repair guys demeanor if these are the types of people they hire. Sad.
Guy came out opened my freezer door didnt even bother pulling it from the wall and called a number and tells me parts are no longer available for my fridge. Took him no longer than 15 mins n I was billed for 30 mins n the cost for him to come out not to mention the guy acted rude until my husband showed up.
My dad scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and see why our washing machine is overflowing. After about 20-30 mins the problem did not occur and we were told it was fine. We were billed $89.00 for his drive and the washer overflowed again tonight. Will not ever be doing business with this company again.
When our heater coil went out in our dryer, they were able to send some out immediately to fix it for us. The repairman took the time to really clean out the whole dryer and noticed a wheel that was worn out and replaced it as well. The cost was a little more then I was hoping, but I dont think it was a bad deal considering the great service. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an appliance repaired.

Oh, my gosh! My fridge was warm today and not cooling off at all...it is Dec 22nd...We celebrate on Christmas Eve. I had $400 in groceries in that fridge and freezer. I called all around trying to find someone who would come out TODAY...I had to have this fixed right away so I didnt lose all my food and then what would I do...I was in a pickle!! I called Pruitt...thinking it was join vain, but there Christmas Magic happen!! It was fixed and cooling by 4:30. I would never call anyone else for repair service and would recommend them to anyone!! THANK YOU!!!!! PS, I couldnt believe the reasonable fee!!
Fixed our fridge and ac on different occasions.
Took 2 months to fix a microwave.
