My technician Murphy was AMAZING. He could not fix my problem because it was etching on the windshield (which makes sense!) but he was still professional and offered me real advice on how to move forward. He did NOT push me to use Safelight again and offered other options to fix my problem.Thank you Murphy!

They repaired chip in my window last year that was tiny and now it spread across my entire windshield. They also never answer the phone so u cam speal to someone.
I have never experienced such poor service from a company before. I received a new windshield on Friday, May 21st. The tech who installed my windshield was very kind, punctual, and kept in constant communication with me. He was great. Received the new windshield within an hour and was very satisfied. I had the service done while I was at work and since I manage an extremely busy retail store, I couldn’t spend more than a couple of minutes examining the work. When I went to leave that evening, as it has for the last two weeks, it began to rain. I realized the auto sensor in my windshield wasn’t recognizing the moisture. No worries. I went to manually turn my wipers on, but to no avail. I could hear the motors of the wipers working to turn on, but the wipers would not work. Great. I then look up to turn my dome light on (I’d pulled over to wait for the rain to subside) and notice there are dark, very dirty handprints and smears all over the ceiling of my car. I have a tan interior. It looks absolutely terrible. My car is only a couple of years old and I take impeccable care of it. No way was that there before the service. I submit a warranty appointment request. I have to wait until Monday, no big deal. On Monday another tech showed up to service my vehicle. I asked him TWICE to please try to clean the ceiling fo my car. He spent maybe fifteen minutes looking over the vehicle and pulls me outside. He verbatim tells me, “In the 25 years I’ve been doing this, I’ve never seen this happen. Something is wrong with your vehicle and that is why your wipers are not working”. Really? My car worked flawlessly until you guys came out to replace my windshield. Okay. He then tells me I have to take my vehicle in for an estimate and get the information to his Manager and MAYBE they’ll be able to remedy the situation for me. I’m a little frustrated at this point. I work around 70 hours a week, and it’s supposed to (as I mention) rain the next six days. Not to mention, after asking him twice, he did not try to clean the ceiling of my car. I couldn’t get my vehicle in for an estimate until Friday anywhere that would be easy because I work in Lawrence, live in KC, and don’t get off work until far later than any of these places are open until. My fiancé kindly offers to let me drive his car Friday so that he can take my car in for an estimate. Within ten minutes the auto shop called him and told him SafeLite INCORRECTLY INSTALLED my wipers and that they’d remedied the situation for us for free. TEN MINUTES!!!! I had been dangerously driving my car for a week without working wipers during torrential downpours- driving through dimly-lot back roads at dawn and dusk after your techwith “25 years of experience” couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my car!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! And the ceiling of my car is beyond dirty! I will never, ever, EVER use you again. Your service is awful, and your techs, while pleasantly kind, are absolutely CLUELESS.

I called to see if I could get a sooner appointment at a different location than the online service showed which was 5 days out. Very rude, disrespectful employee on the phone refused to help me until I gave her the saved quote. I never saved the quote, and she said she would not help me until I went back and saved the quote. I asked her if she could start a new quote and she refused. Just look at the response to negative reviews and youll see the brand standard they now have of treating customers.UPDATE! As you can see from the owners response, they do not even care how their customers are treated.

Appointment was easy to set up online. Received text message reminders for my appointment, and a phone call when the tech was on the way. I work from home, and they came to my house to do the repair. They were online and polite! Great service, would highly recommend.
You cant even get an appointment with these people and the online process has all the charm of credit application which in the end didnt result in me getting an appointment or service. Makes me wonder if they will just drop of the glass and expect me install it myself. No customer service at all. One star review is for all the time I wasted fooling with their process. Just try calling them. You will see.
Too popular and they can’t keep up with customer request or immediate service. People should always look to other companies for help. Not just companies with commercials and Ads.

I am not impressed with the tape job of securing up my back window. Trying to make it back to Oklahoma and Ive already stopped twice to tape it back down. I hope the install job in Oklahoma City does better!

Fast and great customer service I didnt even have to get out of my car for them to replace the passenger side front window. Im disabled and so that helped a great deal when they were able to replace my window for me while I sat still. The technician was kind and helpful. I would have given Safelite Auto Glass 5 Stars except they are super expensive and I was not allowed to have a used piece of glass cut to size in order to save on costs.... all in all they do great work and I had a great experience with them. Their customer service was on point and much appreciated.
We work for a large trucking company. We had a blow out on the driver side window which required to be replaced. This happened on a Friday afternoon. We were told they would be out on Saturday between 8-12pm to fix. We showed up back at the truck around noon and still was not fixed. Our company called back to find out what the hold up was only to be told they don’t have “mobile service on Saturday “. First off why wasn’t this mentioned on FRIDAY? We were then told this would be fixed 1st thing Monday morning again between 8-12. We were called over an hour ago and said they were just finishing a job and would b here within the hour. 2.5 hours later and we are still waiting. Worst company and clearly lacks customer service. If you have a week to wait for a repair they might work out for u but if your time =money don’t waste your time !

In attempt to repair a small chip in my windshield from hail, the tech cracked my windshield another 3-4 inches. He then claimed the chip was then sealed. Over the next week, it spread another 12+ inches across my windshield. Safelite will do NOTHING about this except credit back the costs of the botched repair to my insurance.Its now too big for then to even re-repair, so I either live with the massive crack or pay almost $400 for a replacement because of the damage THEY caused.
I had an appointment on Saturday, June 1, 2019 to repair some small chips in my windshield. I was told since the chips were so small and I couldnt tell exactly how many there were, that they would take a look and if I had three or less chips they would try to repair them, but if I had four or more, a full windshield replacement would be necessary. I explained I did not want to move forward with a full windshield replacement, but if there were three or less little chips, I would like to get them repaired.I showed up for the appointment and was told it should only take 30 minutes. Over an hour later, the technician came out acting very nervous and weird and told me my car was ready. He explained that they attempted torepair four chips, even though they told me they only do repairs on three or less, and that one of them cracked an inch. He was acting very shady and kept saying, I know it looks back, but dont worry, the crack isnt going to get any bigger. over and over again. An hour later and the crack was afoot long.I called them right away to ask why they didnt follow the procedure they gave me about the number of repairs they can do before recommending a full replacement and also to discuss my dissatisfaction that the technician guaranteed the inch long crack wouldnt spread, but it did, and to suggestthey dont make promises they cant keep. I was told the Topeka manager was not available, but that he would call me back by Monday, June 03, 2019. As of Tuesday, June 04, 2019, I still have not received a call back from the manager of the Topeka store to discuss my experience.Safelite hasnt kept their word in regards to anything they told me. I feel they intentionally attempted to repair more cracks than they usually allow to get my money on a full windshield replacement. I absolutely do not recommend this company. I will update this review if/when I hear back from the Topeka manager.Emily

They advertise a lifetime warranty on their glass, but when the windshield breaks when you turn on your defroster, they will find some weasel out of replacing it. I should have known better. Next time Ill choose a local shop.
Great customer service when I made my appointment online it said 60 to 90 minutes. I was 30 minutes early and they took my car right away and had it fixed in under 40 minutes
A technician was at my home in less than an hour and repaired a small crack in my windshield. She coordinated with the insurance company and quickly completed my repair. Hannah was professional and smart, a great asset to her employers. It doesnt get any easier! Thank you Safelite and Hannah.

Windshield Leaks water a day after replaced . Took another week to warrant repair. Then didnt fix it that day .still trying to get fixed . Plus been a rainy two weeks

Thank you! Because you cancelled my appointment this morning, I was able to find a local repair shop, Zeigler Glass, to make the repair at a lower cost. Naively, I scheduled this appointment without shopping around because of your name recognition. My appointment was scheduled for 8-12:00 today but instead I received a text message at 9:37saying my appointment was cancelled with no further explanation. When I called the customer service number, the representative called the location to find out why. She returned to the phone saying that the store is unable to reach the technician by telephone and someone would call back later to reschedule and provide explanation. Three hours later (approximately 12:15) Safelite called and stated the windshield ordered was broken and they could reschedule for Wednesday next week at the earliest. I informed them,I had a scheduled with Zeigler auto glass on Monday for a lower price. Again, thank you for NOT repairing my window because it looks like Ill get to save about $70 by going local!

Got a quote for my 2014 traverse. They told me $500 if I brought it to them. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Got the windshield replaced for under $200 at a local shop. Safelite is a huge ripoff and you will never get your insurance to pay for your windshield they just use that to get you in and then rip you off.

I went in with a chip the size of a pen tip and left with a huge crack. I was told that if may get larger due to the pressure. When it cracked the tech told me that it was extremely likely that was going to happen due to the location of the chip. So instead of a minor issue, i now have a major one that they want to price gouge me to replace. $350 + Labor and I wont be doing that!!!!! Ive gotten quotes from other places that are around $199. What a terrible experience.
My windshield had got a chip and then cracked all of the way across. I have a brand new car and I was worried about the workmanship of replacing it. It came out better than factory. Hurray

Called for a quote for a chip in my windshield that was a 1/16 of an inch across, they quoted me 119 dollars for the repair. That says to me that they are crooks and just trying to get your money. When I told them every other shop in town would only charge 50 they then said they would do it for 50.I ended up going to an honest shop to get the work done.
By far the worst customer service of any windshield company in Topeka. They were scheduled to come on a Satuday morning and called and said they were busy and would come in the afternoon. Then they called again and said they would have to come on Monday. They came on Monday to fix a very small crack in the windshield. It look fine when they left but the next morning when I went out to drive it, there was a crack halfway across the windshield. I called and they came out and looked at it but said they wouldnt replace it and told me a new one would cost over $350. Because of their terrible service, I then had to spend another $150 to get it replaced at another place in town.
I used them to repair a rock chip in my 2016 ram pickup. The rock chip is so obvious still. I can only hope it does not get worse. If it does, it is considered a failed repair and cannot be fixed, only replaced.

Had a small, 1 centimeter crack. Technician started digging at the windshield and it cracked in 3 places over 8 inches long. Tech said he felt bad and would replace the windshield and to give him 15 minutes to run to shop. Never heard from anybody. Called an hour later and was told the store manager will call. Finally called me back and told me I had to pay for the full replacement of the windshield, $350 + tax. Do NOT use Safelite. Now my BMW coverage will not cover it because the crack is greater than 6 inches. Prepare to pay for a new windshield if you use Safelite.

Got my window replaced today, my dash is covered in dirt from the work. My k-tag was not replaced like they said they would. I noticed when I got a few blocks away and had to go back. Friendly but lack attention to detail.

The glass install was great, but they broke a trim piece in the process the tech tried telling me that it was supposed to be like that after arguing for a little bit he finally said he would order another one and walked off.
Since it took so long for them to come fix my windshield, my chips are now cracks and the whole thing has to be replaced. Going to cost me $500 instead of it being covered by insurance.
