I dont know if its just this U-haul or all of them but If anyone rents from this place you better expect to be placed on hold for more then 30 minutes cuz I called U-haul several times and they placed me on hold and that is very f***ing annoying and if you need roadside assistance dont expect to be answered right away cuz they wont help you.

Brought my car in to have wiring installed for my trailer hitch. When I made the reservation the day before the I told the rep I would be waiting with my car since she said it wouldn’t take that long. I get there, the guy that does the installs is running late. They assumed I was dropping the car off. Then they give me an invoice and want to charge me twice for labor. $75! I showed her my invoice that they sent to my email and it only reflects the one time charge and she tells me I have to talk to the install guy when he gets there. Needless to say I walked out! I was mad that this store was less than prepared and then wasn’t willing to honor their original pricing.

I ran into a problem with my trailer rental and the team here went above and beyond to help me out. Very appreciative for Garrett as he saved me an entire day of potential wasted effort.

People who checked us out and got everything set up were great.But then I look at my account, 4 days later, and they took out $30 more than they were suppose too.After hours fee FOR A CAR TRAILER I HAD FOR 13 HOURS!!!! and I reserved it for 24. Dropped the thing off at 9pm. Asked if i used the website to check out that was text to me. It was text at 6:58am. We dropped it off a 9pm!!!! The night before!Now... They might call me back. RIDICULOUS!!

I reserved a U-Haul online and it was ready to go when I got there. The gentlemen who helped me, Cody I believe was his name, was awesome. He warmed up the truck for me and everything. The return process was really cool. I did it after hours using the U-Haul app. The only issues I had was my account was charged twice. I’m working to get this taken care of now. Other than that, great customer service from the South Topeka location. Thanks, U-Haul!

Filled out everything prior to getting there. We get there and told to back up to a trailer and she would be out. 15 mins later I ask a another guy what else we needed to do, and he said he’d check. A couple mins later the girl walks out. At least 4 employees and 2 customers when we pulled in at 3:50. Left at 4:31. Our reservation was to be in a Lawrence at 3 and then Uhaul calls and send us to Topeka. Very poor customer service all around.

I have been renting U-Haul for years. 2 years ago I moved my in-laws from Oklahoma to Topeka,they needed a storage shed and the U-Haul associate advised me that a storage unit would be free for month,what a relief and what a money saver,I also thought was just for people moving in from out of town and then just a few days ago had to rent a truck for a family move and found out the storage unit we needed was free for a month as long as you rent a truck from them also only at participating U-Hauls. Big money Saver.

I was trying to get a car dolly and I wish that the guy that I talked to over the phone would have suggested to me, renting one of their trucks instead of telling me no that I couldnt do it with mine. Long story short, the guys at this place did an extremely great job of taking care of me and my rental trk and car dolly.

Had an appointment I needed to reschedule. They told me theyd call me to reschedule, but never did. I back about a week later and rescheduled. When I arrived at my appointment, they said I wasnt scheduled and they wouldnt be able to do anything for me. I had an Uber I had to cancel and the guy

The manager, Joseph, is very knowledgeable and was amazing helpful.The trailer that we rented had a bad connection to our truck and Joseph spent 2 or more hours trying to help us figure out the problem.

The whole staff was extremely helpful and helped getting my trailer lights operable from the truck and hooked me up with an extension for magnetic lights for my camper. I recommend anyone with questions or looking for their services to come to this one.

So, the U Haul website is tedious and frustrating. But the people I spoke to on the phone (from a call center I am sure because they couldnt guarantee any inventory) were at least concerned with helping me find a car hauler. It may have been just dumb luck, but eventually I ended up at this particular U Haul store to pick up a car dolly I had reserved over the phone. They didnt have it (good one, Call Center) but they did exhaust a number of options before finally setting me up in a car trailer. Fantastic service, and their sense of humor was a bright spot in what had turned out to be a mind numbing day. I will definitely return if ever I need to rent anything again!

Good place, treat you nice and keep it fast for you to get out the door.The one bad thing, they have you fill up the gas tank but somehow when I left on full and drove a total of 8 miles and put in 6 gallons that seems wrong. I was not reimbursed or anything as well.

Truck return was easy and smooth. If Uhaul cant honor the pickup date, time, and equipment you originally reserved, they will credit you $50. I was unaware of this policy until I dropped off the truck at this location. Despite having absolutely nothing to do with this original failure of Uhaul corporate, these guys gladly gave me the $50 credit after the fact. Nobody LIKES to have to rent a truck, but Id come back here in a heartbeat.

From a 5 STAR rating to a 1 STAR rating because of one female at your location. I called and asked how much it was to rent a single car trailer...she said she needed my home address, cell phone number and my email address to tell me how much the trailer was. That is totally ridiculous... i have called this location MANY times, and they simply tell me how much it is as long as i am picking it up or dropping it off at the same location. This Female would not tell me how much anything was unless i gave her my email, phone number and address. SCREW this place now...fire her, get someone who knows prices and i will be back. I called two other places and i got a price within 1 minute. Say Bye-Bye to about $4500 a year from our business...we used to use you guys all the time.

We got a trailer and truck from there before. It goes good and they are nice. Sometimes understaffed but they are nice.

If it were possible to give a 0 star rating I would! This business allowed us to reserve a truck online and gave the quoted price of 50 dollars or so. So we drove to this town to come to this store and they price jacked us about a hundred dollars + once we got to the store. As if this were not bad enough they also turned around and hit us with a substantial deposit for the truck as well. Not a trustworthy business or a company my wife and I will be returning to ever again. If you can go to another company for the rental other than this price jacking, deceitful company DO IT!

After a terrible experience at a small part-time uhaul agency, I would forced do drive well out of my way to visit the South Topeka UHaul. These folks were great. They saved the day with a smile.

Can’t imagine going anywhere else to rent a truck or get moving supplies. They have it all and reasonably priced.

The guys were really helpful and did everything they could to get the equipment returned.

Motion lights for all the units would be a good addition for when unloading a unit at dark.

Helped my family with this service a few times. Easy enough to use but dont really like the requirement to refill the gas tank ourselves before returning it or get charged with an extra fee.

Service was slow when we went to pick up truck had to wait over 15 minutes and there was no other customers in the store. Everything worked and preformed as expected.

Sent us on our way in a truck with a dead battery.

They didnt CK my tires and I had a blowout, and there were less than an hour away and fix my tire on the U-Haul less than 45 minutes, but after the guy got there to fix my tires quickly he informed me that I also had two other bad tires and it blew out my exhaust and put a hole through it on the U-Haul
