Customer service was greatAssociates were very knowledgeable about productsWas in and out. Great shopping experienceWish I could remember my sales guys name
If you don’t come get your replacement for their poorly made, defective product within 5 days they’ll give your replacement product away to someone else and you get to start the whole process over again. terrible policy. then they’ll tell you they could have mailed them to you.
Second visit in two days. First visit was rushed due to approaching closing time. Was still able to complete iPhone trade-in. Second visit was more pleasant with smaller crowds since it was earlier in the day. Its always busy at this location.
Very pleased with our purchase, very speedy service with our experience we had with the professionals attending this location. They should get raises just for dealing with such high volume they do daily at a fast and professional pace.
2nd Employee that helped us was extremely dry and had an attitude. Continued to give me advice when I stated that I would be buying the device without the bundle and she stated I either come back with a collage student or I could order online and apply the bundle and return. Then, she simply proceeded to walk away without a simple ‘have a good rest of your day’ or ‘hope to see you again soon.’ You’re representing a large corporation, the least you could do is respect the customers who are allowing your store to keep running. Whoever she was, get a better attitude! However, I believe her name is Jane, was extremely sweet and seemed to actually care about how she was applying her knowledge. She had to repeat herself on some things which some people find annoying and present their feelings in that matter but she remained professional and generous.
Nice staff and corral helpful but can come across employees who may not always want what’s best for you but best for Apple’s bottom line… overall good.
This is a mixed review. Overall Apple seems to have deteriorated in orientation for employees, as to HOW to behave in face to face customer service. LOVE the Troy Michigan Business Team, but cant stand the Riff Raff standard Employees who lack social skills, coping skills, etc. You need to help them- consider Dale Carnegie for Teens?APPLE CORPORATE: You operate stores with a requirement of employee stress management, communication skills and human relations. There is a drastic change in how younger employees ON AVERAGE interact with one another and you need to help your new employees understand WHAT face-to-face communication is, and CORPORATE needs to address the majority of the Google NEGATIVE reviews. These are people mostly giving you constructive criticism. You need to interview for and teach continually how to interact with other generations.Secondly you need to teach what the context of being an Apple employee is; stewards of a better idea. Sorry, CORPORATE, but you need to go back to the design and PURPOSE of the store from the Steve Jobs era. This is about the CUSTOMER and not the employee. That being said, The Apple Business group is drastically different. They have continually helped and facilitated my IT business and my clients to quickly and efficiently purchase products without long wait and without standing behind consumers who are confused and slow.Critique 2: Apple CORPORATE, and if you want to displace the Microsoft Windows market, you need to honor the market segment called Business, and continue to value and offer parallel store services to this group with priority. Increase store space for this purpose only.I appreciate all who work in the store, but especially appreciate the Business Team members like Linda Stein and Thomas Kitts, who have been outstanding in their service and help.
Had to go there twice in a week to get my daughters iphone 12 fixed because everything grayed out. I live 45 minutes away. First associate said she fixed it and he apps should pop up soon, we didnt even get home and it grayed out again. Went back after calling apple again, to find out it needed a new whatever its called for wifi, Bluetooth etc. Stayed for an hour and it was fixed. Then her service went all of the way out. I was not pleased. I dont have time to waste and I dont like being lied to and having to come back.
Could do better going somewhere else which I did anyways so I ended up ordering what I needed online
Apple has lost my business forever. I was planning on spending a ton of money. New computer. New phone. Some peripherals. But the store is closed to walk in customers due to Covid. Are you kidding me. They offered me an appt. 10 days from now. So ridiculous. But not surprising I guess as all these big corporations that are owned by China and doing the governments dirty work. No more apple for me.
This review is for the Apple Company,After the IOS 14 update, my iPhone 7 stopped working. Its not fair, if it was in their intention to render the iPhone 7 useless for profit.
AGAIN APPLE PROVIDES THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES CONSULTATIONS. I so grateful APPLE provides brick & mortar for their customers!!! The options for one-on-one learning or group are OUTSTANDING!! Thank you APPLE 🍎♥️
The process to make an appt and when you have an appt you still wait at a table for 40 mins while the tech is working with others.. was there for a simple screen repair.. other places i just drop ofg and leave for an hour.. this definitely was the most complicated
Took my son’s phone in 2 days ago. It was stuck in a reboot loop. Waited 20 minutes past my appointment time. The employee spent less than 10 minutes with us. She told us the phone was not fixable and offered to sell us a new one. Yesterday I took the phone to Best Buy. They fixed it. Stay clear of this store for repairs!
Far away from the (rotten) apple!!!!! My phone asked to do the updates, and without any warning everything on my phone was whipped 😡😡I went to this store and nobody cared to help!!!! They cant do anything to fix the problem they cause!!!!! Trash company! They want just to sell their trash items, but dont care for customer service and dont try to fix the problem they cause!!! That thing NEVER happened to us with Samsung phones.
Horrible service, long wait times, security mandating all guests wear masks. $8,000 in phones and all have swollen battery but have to make an appointment to “diagnose” phone even though screen has separated from housing. Wait for this or send in at customer expense. If I didn’t have to go here I wouldn’t. Go to another less busy location.
Great professional staff, fulfilled all our needs quite well in a quick and easy fashion.
I just came into this apple store with my family to purchase a new iPhone, I waited my turn like everybody else and eventually had a worker named Lisa come in to help us. Lisa definitely had the maturity of my 8 year old nephew. She came in to greet us with little to no respect and some weird prejudice behavior. Every new sentence she would start with me felt like a insulting infant throwing a tantrum. I don’t know if she woke up on the wrong side of the bed or she just lost the bet of her life, but she was the most disappointing individual I’ve spoken with. If that’s her usual mindset I strongly suggest to keep her in the back of the store wrapping gifts and staying out of sight and out of mind.
Would of been great if I didnt have to put a muzzel on my face when none of the employees had one on
Im more of a Google Pixel guy but had to go to the Apple store for something and a service was very nice! I was in and out even though it was a very crowded store
Made an appt for a 2015 Macbook air that wouldnt start. Genius bar lady took it in the back to do a SMC reset which she explained was disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Her attempt to fix failed and she said they would fix for $400+ or I could buy a new one for $899. I took my inoperable Mac back to work and later took the back off myself to try the reset one more time. I was STUNNED to see that the tech had left the battery completely disconnected! (And I never would have known if I didnt take the back off myself.) I called Apple support, they were stunned as well. They spent 2 days trying to contact the store before getting a response, and when they did, store leaders Kaci & Darius told Apple Support they never created a repair ticket for the work, and since they didnt create a repair ticket, they couldnt help me. Sooo, this Apple store left me with a laptop guaranteed to never work again... and didnt follow store procedures which required them to create a repair ticket for the work they did on my laptop. Avoid this store at all costs. Ive lost all trust in Apple.
I wasnt 100% happy with the sale lady professionalism
I came into this location on 4/16/21 to have my battery replaced (iPhone 7S). I’ll admit to being the most impatient person I know but nothing could have been smoother and more pleasant than this experience. The security ensured that everything (and everyone) was in order, the team members were very lively and engaging. The wait time was such that there really was no wait time. I got exactly what I needed and I couldn’t be happier.
For the same issue, they refuge to take any responsibility showing lame excuse and wasted my time for nothing with a babysitting attitude!Been to another Apple store in NYC and they wanted to send it to repair/replace(as covered by manufacture warrenty) and wanted to offer iPhone 7/8, for instance! But I requested them to leave a note so that can drop it to Michigan and finally arrived after being repaired. Hopefully it will work again!
A great store thats non stop busy and becomes hard to find help because its too busy.
Security guards are wannabe cops. The one security guy yesterday kept picking fights with people when everyone was being respectful. The chick security who is probably about 16 with orange hair should be working at hottopic instead. She freaks out when you walk close to the store. The lady at the desk who helped sell us the computer was super sweet and kind.
I had several issues going on with my phone so it took some time to work through them. However, Samantha was so professional, kind, patient and helpful that it made the experience effortless. Thank you Samantha!
This location was VERY busy when I visited on Saturday 8/28/21. There were so many customers in the store I did not see the posted signs for wearing a mask. After 20 minutes in the store I was approached by an employee and asked if I had a mask, to which I replied yes. Before I could even pull my mask out of my pocket, the employee very sharply informs me the store has a mask mandate and I had to immediately put one on. I was shocked by the tone and attitude of the employee and said I would leave the store, since obviously Apple did not want my business.
They have everything need even when you cant really explain it. Prices need to be 10% cheaper.
The best customer experience!!! I wish other stores build similar capability!
Most of the mobiles were out of stock and the waiting time was too long. Dont go to this place.
Scheduled an appt and was screened and seen quickly. My Power Beats Pro needed repair, associate Madonna was very knowledgeable, helpful, & pleasant. Although my ear bud could not fix in store, the ship out process was simple.
No good nothing better than Samsung Galaxy
Where the Novi Apple store couldnt restore my computer from a lockout, this location had no problem. I almost lost a $3000 MacBook pro.
Although I thought I might have to buy a new iPhone, Blake at the Apple Store in Somerset Mall (located in Troy, Michigan) took a few minutes of his time and gain access to my and turned off the accessibility feature. That was the problem. For this service, I was charge $0. Thanks for the friendly customer service, Blake, and the brief tutorial on how to use my iPhone.
Took my phone in to get fixed paid the $99 fee got it back noticed it was still broke and they just gave me a whole new one! can’t be too mad. 🤠 thanks Mitchell
If you are looking for poor customer support, lack of respect for time, and no sense of urgency. This is the place!
Nice apple store has a genius bar
How do non Apple fans shop at an Apple store? There are no tags or identification on the products. So I dont know which phone Im looking at. There is no information listed of specifications so I can not compare relative value. There are no prices listed, so I cant automatically ignore stuff out of the budget. And that was the whole store. Thanks Apple for a waste of my time.
Nice friendly service easy to find
I had to bring my computer here to be replaced after it stopped working. This really could have been a huge pain as I had to drive pretty far for an open Apple Store and was anticipating needing to buy a new computer. Arber was amazingly helpful and kind. Genuinely the best customer service interaction Ive ever had (and as I work in customer service, Im very particular). Not only was he able to set me up with a replacement, but he was enthusiastic, compassionate and really put me at ease.
Very displeased with the new computer specs; purchasing additional equipment is truly unnecessary and costly.
Just wanted to see the new Apple headphones. Virtually no one was in the store. Could see them through the window. COVID cases have declined, theyre allowing people to dine in, but I cant go in the Apple store without an appointment? Person at the front, it looked like a TSA line, thats how ridiculous it was, told me I needed to make an appointment and I couldnt come in that day. I just walked away, what a joke. Theyre just turning away money, but I just Apple has enough so they dont care anymore.
Apple store is not what it used to be in terms of client service. I was in the store and was told that if I order the screen protector, it would get applied to my iPhone when I would get it picked up at the window.Today, I went to pick it up only to be told that they will not do that because she is not allowed to even touch my phone (all the while doing everything without gloves and giving me the box which she has touched - no consistency between what is done and what is told). Also, the attitude is of a salesperson in some fast food joint, not of an Apple Store of past days. No consistent information between the team members.
I only went to pick up an express item ordered online, and thank goodness because the other line to get in to shop was very long...if I had to wait in that line I would have left, the young man that waited on me was very polite and friendly, I received my item quickly and was pleased with the transaction...
Did not go to Apple, I use Android. I went to Chick-fil-A.
Looking forward to meeting the business team!
On Saturday, December 26, 2020, I went to the Apple Store at Somerset Collection to pick up my pre purchased iPhone. I waited in line for 20 minutes. The first team member I encountered at the window immediately told me she couldn’t release my phone to me because I’m not the listed pick up person. I explained to her that I spent 2 hours on the phone with my cell phone company and that they added me as an authorized user. I even showed her the confirmation text and email. I also explained that i paid for the phone and showed my license and credit card to prove it. She kept telling me that the listed pick up person has to claim the phone. I told her that my mom (the other person on the account) is older and I will not be forcing her to stand in line at a crowded mall during a global pandemic to pick up my phone. She simply told me to go somewhere else, call 1-800-My-Apple, and ask them to add me as a pick up person. I spent 30 minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone, which is completely unnerving in a crowded mall right now, and finally spoke to Jose. Jose spent 20 minutes putting me on several holds and not offering any assistance. He eventually just hung up the phone. I then went back to the Apple Store and I noticed that the woman I encountered first had walked off. Thankfully a different team member offered to help. He simply asked for my cell company PIN number and was able to quickly verify that I’m an authorized user and pick up person. He was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable, which I really appreciate after my previous terrible experience. He released my phone to me and explained everything I needed to get started. I am truly stunned at the lack of customer service and knowledgeability that some Apple team members have. I would think during such unprecedented times Apple wouldn’t want such a large gathering of people inside and in front of the store, so they would stress efficiency, but I guess not. Next time, I will take my business elsewhere.
Excellent customer service representatives. Very fast service. Even with long lines I was out in no time.
They are super good Service I like this place
Love having access to the inernet, usually sit there hours on end playing demos of smartphone games and stuff, second to last visit since corona, one staff member offered me a chair, very nice, but the chair for long periods got my bootie a bit sore, so strongly reccommend bringing your own or sitting out side the store at one of the benches nearby, otherwise staff doesnt interfere, if they do however they are polite and wont try to take your time away, also a bit far from the entrance of the mall tho too, but otherwise very elegant architecture, nice modern design, we went there to see the iphone 4s with siri so that was fun too
Made an appointment and drove 45 minutes to set up my new MacBook and they refused to do it. They said they can walk me through it on the phone. I definitely didnt pay $1200 to set it up myself when I made an appointment. Wont return to this location
My iPhone 12 screen just randomly stopped responding to touch despite having it and using it like normal for at least a month. Talked with Apple Support for over three hours to no avail. Made an appointment at the Genius Bar (covid regulations of course). I was greeted by such a friendly mall security worker who confirmed my appointment and I was in the store within minutes. The workers were all very friendly and so helpful. After taking my iPhone for some diagnostic testing, they determined it was a “bad Apple” and had faulty hardware. They replaced my phone at no cost to me and I was out the door in under an hour. Such a great experience to solve a problem and definitely worth the hour drive.
I have had nothing but great previous experiences at this store but today’s experience I found to be unacceptable and VERY disappointing. I had an appointment to pick up a phone I had purchased, only to be told that my appointment was canceled and shown a screen that blamed it on Verizon. Why was I not notified by Apple in advance prior to me taking time off work and driving in major traffic? After contacting Verizon, they said they could see no reason why any type of an error would have shown as I was more than eligible for an upgrade even though I was not even going through Verizon other than for my provider. Everything was going through Apple for the entire purchase which was done the previous day.Apple would not allow me in the store but did allow my daughter to proceed prior to the fictitious Verizon claim when the appointment order was scanned. When my daughter informed me of the situation, an Apple associate explained the situation to me outside of the store. When I was questioning how this could happen she directed me to go find out from Verizon as they had a store on the 3rd floor. She then stated that she shouldn’t even be talking to me because I was not wearing a mask. I simply turned around and walked away and feel that this was a violation of the American Disabilities Act as I have a well documented blood clotting disease that does not allow me to wear a mask and have already survived 2 massive heart attacks but an immune system that is second to none due to my lifestyle (Google my name with heart attack for validation).Very disappointed that a simple purchase pick up had to be so complicated and humiliating.
Horrible experience with Apple over all and this location is not directly tied into it. My wife and I called apple directly since the phones we wanted were out of stock. We spoke with a rep placed an order and paid. We were sent a confirmation number and a confirmation on our pick time since you cant walk in any more. We arrived about 8 minutes early and checked in, got to the window only to be informed that order had been canceled and our money had been refunded. We had to wait 6 1/2 hours for pick up time just to be told well you can buy it right now but the money has been tied up and we have q financial agreement with AT&T for phone service. I switched to Samsung from Apple back in 2011 and I dont think Im getting the new iPhone based on my experience.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES THEY DIDNT CARE!
Its an OK place I guess. I walked up near the front of the store and the security guard checked me in after I showed my appointment information printed out on paper in hand. Make sure you have your info printed out so you can show it to the associates there because they dont seem like theyll go out of their way to help you. I waited for like 5 minutes with an associate while another one grabs my order. Then left. They dont really care for small talk. I had been in stores that are much plainer, for example paint shops that were more exciting then this place. It is a bit depressing for the amount of money you spend here.
Horrible. That’s all I need to say. Dismissive and rude.
Ed was very honest and helpful. He sold us a Mac today.
Excellent guest service
Came in with my step son. They had 😷 for us.They gave us 👍 service.
My husband and I went here on a Sunday with our twin boys. The store was so busy. We waited maybe 5 minutes. We were assisted by Derek! He was amazing. We were there about 1 hour total and were treated so well. Everyone was friendly and super knowledgeable and sweet to our twins. I was so thankful for them and for Derek for helping me get my phone under control.
Very NiceQuick serviceAnd SANATIZED EVERY 45 MINUTES...VERY IMPRESSIVE
Ordered a tablet for my daughter went in and waited in a short line less then 10 minutes and it was delivered to me by a friendly staff member.
Usually have great experiences here but this time was different. They literally said they can’t transfer my data from my old phone to the new one which is just not true. The Apple Store has done this for me in the past and now they say they can’t and now I leave with a phone that isn’t completely set up. I even told them I don’t have a MacBook and they still wouldn’t help. Just embarrassing how the APPLE STORE doesn’t have the ability to do this. So here I am giving the Apple Store my money and walking out with no contacts pictures apps or anything. Thank you for nothing Apple.
Taking good care of customers and employees from covid. Best shop to visit during pandemic times
It could have been a bater experience not what exactly expected
Excellent service. I was in and out with no complaints
Fast, friendly, and helpful service is all you can ask of any Apple employee. This location has nailed it every time I’ve needed to go here, even during the pandemic they are on top of their game!
Very upset with the service received today from Apple Somerset. My daughter’s screen was cracked so I made an appointment. The phone worked perfectly fine, but the little lines and the feel was bothering her. They told us it would take an hour so we walked around the mall. When we went to pick up the phone, they told us they were unwilling to fix it. Apparently, the technician thought there was water damage once opening it up. There wasn’t and the phone worked perfectly. Here is where it gets very disappointing. We look at the phone, and now the screen is way worse. The left side of the screen is now blotchy and there are color vertical lines showing. I point this out to the person and they basically said the phone needs replacing at our cost. So we ask them to replace the screen, they open it up, say they are unwilling and give us back a phone in worse shape. Now, several hours later, the phone is glitchy and opening/closing apps on its own. We had to leave in a hurry to make my daughters game, so could not try to resolve it. Just very disappointed in the experience. I will now likely have to buy a new phone. Had we not gone into this store, my daughter’s phone would be fine, just with a cracked screen. Better off using a local phone repair shop for screen cracks. I was a big Apple fan before today.I would say stay away from this place for screen repairs as they may break your phone and offer no compensation.
Doesnt really make sense why they have turned into an express store with the employees hiding behind the dividers... literally tied to go in there to talk to someone about a business account and potentially buying a iMac for my small business but all I am greeted with is a security guard telling me tough luck and no one is able to call you or talk to you. This apple store is such a joke. Didnt know that they started turning into McDonalds.
I went to get a new phone. I traded my old phone in and paid CASH for the remaining balance!! They just emailed me my receipt and that was it. I left the store and my phone wouldn’t work. So immediately went back to the store but they were closing! NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WOULD ME! I stood outside the store knocking and begging for help and they just looked at me! THEY ALL HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I had to go 2 days with no phone.
Takes good covid precautions fast service..line looks intimidating..but it moves quick
This place is a well oiled machine.
Great customer serviceI also liked there covid-19 protocol and protection procedures.
Thank you. Very nice
Fail to notify you when your items are repaired also the store manager could use some training or a new job more suited for her lack of social and customer service skills
Went in for a screen repair. The experience was pleasant and the staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. The biggest defense local shopping has against Amazon is good customer service. I enjoyed how they actually encouraged my son to TOUCH the stuff, knowing he is the customer of tomorrow. I had to subtract one star due to having to wait over 30 minutes past my appointment time. Given all the data Apple has you would think they could optimize scheduled appointments just like restaurants do with call ahead seating.
There is no tech people to help you out if there is something wrong with the phone, only if you try to buy phone they will serve you.
Good service
Extremely crowded and no help upon entering
Even with the long lines and all the craziness going on, Tracy and the managers were extremely helpful when there were issues with my order for pickup and serviced me quickly with kindness! Great staff, Tracy was wonderful and wanted to make sure my service was perfect.
I was blown away by how friendly, accommodating, and professional the employees were. After dealing with a plethora of issues on my brand new iPhone 11, the girl who had helped me immediately knew what to do to remedy the errors and my phone was as good as new again. I am recommending this store to everyone for all their future phone needs due to my great experience.
Been questioned suspiciously about the purpose of the visit. Weird. Just an apple store…
Temporarily closed but you have to make.an appointment waste of an open store
Had to wait in line for about ten minutes outside of the store, but they were very efficient. We bought online and had an appointment
Billy was amazing- can’t thank him enough for solving my problem with my older IPhone!!
Great service
After 3 days of working with Verizon technical support on an issue with my NEW phone, we called Apple tech support. They made us an appointment with a Genius at this store for further support or replacement. Dennis was our Genius and 5 stars is not nearly enough to say how wonderful he was to work with. He listened to everything we explained about our experience, tested the phone and talked us through every step he was taking to find the problem. While we waited for some of the updates, he kept us talking about fun things (he saw our pictures of our Airstream and our dogs) and just made this a really pleasant experience. He assured us we were going to walk out of there happy, no matter what. We certainly were happy with him. This is pretty much how every person who works there treats us every time we go in, whether to purchase some new accessory or just to browse the new models. They ALWAYS take time to answer every question and to explain every detail. We have also taken classes there and are very pleased with the knowledge and helpfulness of the teachers.Love this store.
Fast service with a big crowd waiting
The apple store is incredibly efficient to say the least. Every one is very tech savvy and very polite. We ordered and paid online at home drove down there no waiting in line showed our order number and we were off to dinner 5 star all the way will go back P S my daughter got them for great grades she loves her air pods 😉🤓
OMG...the service yesterday was so good I don’t know if I ever left a review for any business but I was so Impressed/pleased I wish I could remember the young lady name who waited on us she was so patient I had to get a phone fixed and so did my son thanks for your quick and good service!!💯
I waited an hour and fifteen minutes. I had an appointment. Apple Care is a myth.
Super busy! Novi location is better for finding quick appointments and help.
