Facilities are clean, open and spacious, and they appear to have a good selection of Indian (Bombay) food, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Cashiers are friendly and efficient, and the employees seem to work together to make your shopping experience pleasant. Establishment is conveniently located with ample parking.
Big shop, great collection. However, I am removing two points because of the COVID measures. It was crowded and there were almost no measures to protect and keep distance.
Even though we get good stuff at pattel brothers. Cashiers are terrible, I dont know why so many expressions and explanation just to give one extra bag to carry my oil bottle. They are telling me how to carry it, so funny. They dont have to be friendly but at least they have to behave...
Clean spacious and has lots of option for all over India. Vegetables are not always very fresh but options are good. Maybe there is some specific days when vegetables are brought and you can get fresh then. Snacks and samosa corner is very good. Breads and chapatis are fresh. Frozen options are ok but compared to other indian stores, its a little less
Good collection but limited choices. Prices high. A boon for Indian customers
Good place for Indian and Bangali grocery and spices shopping.
This store has everything I need and they have a 🔥🔥🔥 baked goods and cafeteria section. Their prices are very affordable and all of the food is fresh and new. Especially for people who like to eat lentils and grain products I would recommend going to Patel brothers instead of places like Walmart and other superstores. They have much better selections, more options, and better prices for all grain products at Patel brothers.
Good and nice people. Lots of options and fairly priced. Always available items here.
Seems like women working in the counter are not happy with their life and all they know is to be mean to young happy girls. Thats what I have observed nowadays. These women have some problem with them. Totally irritating🤧👢 Store is good but hate those mean ladies. Especially the one in her mid 30s.
It’s a one stop place for all the Indian food you need.Indian grocery store with a lot of things you cant find easily in American grocery stores. They also have a bakery department putting out fresh chapati and some yummy Samosas and stuffed wraps.the vegetables are fresh and green, staff is good, very helpful.Parking is also convenient.
Lots of Indian grocery options compare to other Indian store . prices cheaper on most of the items. Vegetable prices are better . vegetables are fresh. Friendly and knowledgeable staff . Lot of parking options. The store is located near to Rochester Road and long lake road and easy access. Our family do weekly shopping and always go back . Highly recommended for any INDIAN groceries
I purchased a carton of incense (agarbati) at Troy, MI store. Found that first of the incense put to use would burn for about 5-minutes and turn off; tried burning the same incense minimum 4-times and; same result. I went back to the store. Explained that the incense dont burn- gave them the same incense stick (agarbati) and presented the purchase receipt. Store attendant went into a room to verify; came out and said that the incense are burning. In a very subtle tone I tried to explain that if you leave that on for 5-minutes, then you will see what I am saying. You dont need to be aggressive, we will return.... was his reaction in an “aggressive” manner. That was sheer insult- why would I not be truthful for a four to five dollar buy. I know Patel is a big grocery store; there are many other Indian grocery stores around. So IF YOU CAN, PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE.We also shop at Bombay Grocers in Canton, MI. Once I returned a can of rasgullas that had an expiry date in the past. Presented the can with purchase receipt; no questions asked, return was done- always a polite experience.
I got to buy only one packet of their roti. Either they was out of it or they were limiting its sale. If something is so popular then why dont they make more?
Visited after more than nine years! An amazing location to get Indian products.
Good stock of Indian vegetables / grocery items available almost all the time. Also you can get all religious related things.
Great place to buy indian food and produce.
One of the better places for Indian grocery in the Troy area. They have most varieties of what I need but my only complaint is the long lines at the billing counter. They do have really good bakery where you get delicious hot snacks for a very low price though! Definitely recommend trying them.
Food varieties, service are good.
Bigger and spacious compared to other stores they have in Detroit.Great location and easy to access from road, good parking available. Most of the things are fresh here, make sure you look at expiry dates or damages. I don’t think they take back anything.Fresh cooked food available at this location.I didn’t see any seating space or washrooms available. This store is mostly crowded on weekends.
Good store to pick all Indian grocery
Staffs at registers are not friendly otherwise the store houses all your requirements .
Rude staff, overpriced and expired items ! Go to any other indian store in the area than this.
Well stocked place. Fresh Indian vegetables available. Crowded but checkout line moves fast.
This one is the best patel brothers I have visited so far. Its almost India under the roof. It just feels like shopping at D-Mart
This version of the franchise has significant stock. Good variety of products and quicker service. Parking is convenient.
We can get most of items for home. Especially Indians can enjoy this place due to the availability of most of the Indian kitchen stuff.
Store has a variety of products and clean. But I find they sell bad quality fresh produce such small bananas, tomatoes, okra. I had to throw the bananas. The okras were hard/tough ones. It was a waste of money.
I saw some ammachi wiping their noses and leaving it behind on the shelves. Also does not look like they clean/disinfect often. Get Bourbon biscuits. Kids love.
You will get everything here from india at cheap price.
Best for the Indian grocery.
You will get all Indian Grocery and all fresh vegetables. All fresh quality items.
This Troy Location for Patel Brothers is well managed, organized and up to date with healthcare procedures. We always buy our groceries here. When Pandemic started they were quick to enforce limited entry to the store, quick organization for arrows on the floor to guide shoppers and making us feel safe buying our groceries. Only point was that I wish they had someone dedicated to disinfecting shopping carts. This was about two months ago that I last went there and after moving to a new town with a different Patel brothers, I greatly miss my old grocery store.
Of all their locations, this one is the best run and organized!! 2 thumbs way up!!
Nice place for Indian grocery but except for few items mostly expensive.
Some times Expiry Food Not Good for healthNo Listen Customer Care Service Bogus
Great place to shop grocery, beats everyone in town. This is a one stop shop for all your needs.
It’s ok for Indian stuff and some special items. But the staff is not much cooperative. New staff even don’t know about billing and make mistakes. Expired date not changed in some stuff. Vegetable is not fresh.
Not enough grocery items, can he better and clean.
Large selection of fresh tropical vegetables. Always happy with the Indian spices, frozen and pantry items. They are doing an excellent job for their customers. Sometimes a bit expensive but they keep a high quality stock on the shelves.
Very good variety of indian snacks
They sell many items at higher prices that any other stores in Troy. Got 5 garlic for $4.49on June 2, 2020. I hope even Wholefoods won’t sent Organic Garlic for this price. Same day, got similar garlic in other Indian store for $1.49. They won’t accept returns nor price match. Kind Request - Please sell items at reasonable price.
They have EVERYTHING! One stop shop for everything from tempting/binge worthy Desi snacks and fresh vegetables to offset the guilt from eating above mentioned snacks!
Same like past. Clumsy and unorganized
Great place to get all your Indian favorites. Also have some various cooking utensils. They have a counter to purchase fresh chapati and some cooked items, like samosas and kathi rolls.
Best Indian Grocery i have seen. Food quality, options and spacious arrangement
With the pandemic situation they have set limits to certain items, which is good but they now consider all its customers as cheaters and treat the customers in disrespectful manner. I went there with one of my friends, therefore, two families, but the guy in the counter counted us as one family, which is hilarious, and did not allow me to buy the items under limits saying that my friend has already bought it. I tried to explain him the condition but never wanted to listen to me. I got the groceries thanks to the guy in the other counter, but Very disappointed about their perspective regarding the customers. Not even worth for one star.
Have everything you need as far as Indian food
Nice place for authentic Indian food. I was there to find some biryani essence. May be its been one year i was looking for this tiger brand biryani essence and finally i got it from there.
Like all Patel brothers. Too much of crowd owing to location. But it is overall good.
Patel Brothers have been good in quality and nicely priced. But in recent past, when people are in stress due to COVID-19, patel brothers have either increased the price of product very high or increased little but cleverly reduced the quantity.. on and average 50% hike on almost 90% of product. I dont think the cost price has increased like this. This is not a right attitude. I can understand shortage of some products but all??? This is too much.
Overall good experience. Huge store compared to our Farmington Patel Brothers.
Overall good store but they are not selling all brands.
Home made rotis from the Roti maker was awesome!
Best place to go for Indian foods and groceries
Nice store, clean. Any ingredient for Indian cuisine that you can think of.
Almost all necessary groceries, pooja items, some indian brand snacks, indian veggies from are available. One stop shop...Little costly too
No help, we need to search by ourselves

Best place to shop for all the Indian groceries! Also I found my favourite cake rusk! They have a helping staff, and the vegetables and fruits are fresh!
Watch your receipt at checkout. Employees trying to charge on extra items not purchased. I had $87 charge but only $58 worth of items. Employee extremely defensive and stated “I said sorry to you”. Unacceptable. Will not shop here again. Would rate zero stars if this was an option.
This store is a one stop place for all your spices, snacks, vegetables and fresh Chappati and Naan.
The packet size of various dals is bigger than most places. The variety is great.
These guys are becoming arrogant, no etiquette of speaking with customers, their prices are too high. As it is said little success sometime gets on head, that’s what their situation is.
Good and neat. This is the place if you need Indian spices.
The store has a very good collection of Indian groceries. Very well organized. The new fresh food section is very good. The chapatis are fresh and are very economical.
Can make it bit organized.
If you love east indian foods this is the place to shop! their website is also easy to use if youre looking for a particular item before you make the drive -
Probably only Indian grocery store I have been in past few months!!
Has everything an Indian needs
Well stocked, everyone wearing masks. A bit crowded, but thats to be expected in the weekend.
Employees at the shelf and register are arrogant. Their store is big filled with low grade SWAD products. If you ask the guys at shelf for different variety they reply no very rudely. I wouldn’t recommend this store. There are plenty of other shops with better options. Not even worth one star.
I love everything at the grocery store .being a vegetarian there are so many food options that I can purchase there. I gave this location one-star because they dont make you feel comfortable if you dont look like them. I am never greeted never talked to only stared at every time I go I dont feel comfortable there at all . I feel out of place when all I want to do is expand my palate and eat some delicious food cooked at home and this place has the best food. And yes they speak English so when I say hi it will be polite for them to say hi back
Good place for Local Indian Grocery. However other Patel stores across have many more options . This store seems to have a very limited stock and options. They really should look at expanding their options of various items.Fresh produce is good. Lot of options availableI like Patel stores but this has very limited options.
It’s great place to shop for Indian food. But I believe it’s prices are bit higher compared to the local Indian stores.Patel brothers being a big chain, I don’t know why they charge more price, so I also shop at other Indian stores sometimes.
They have good stock of groceries and other items. Have their own kitchen as well.
The place is well located and accessible. It has a great variety of Indian groceries, fresh produce and frozen seafood. It tends to get a bit crowded over the weekends but the friendly staff will help to find the stuff you need.
One stop shop for all Indian foods and groceries. Items are stacked up pretty nicely, makes it more convenient to locate them. Reasonable price, veggies looked fresh.
Really enjoyed visiting this store. I needed to pick up a few spices that I didnt think some of the other chain grocery stores would have, so I decided to stop in here. I was really impressed with the selection, quality, and pricing of the poduce, along with the frozen and other fresh ingredients. I love that you can buy items like lentils and rice in bulk. Also, the store was immaculate and well organized. The employees were very nice. Ill be sure to stop in again the next time I. Im in town!
The bakery food is 🔥!!!Very impressed
Get all my desi groceries from this easily accessible place. Has a veriety of products that you dont find in most stores.
Fresh Vegetables & Snacks
Its conveniently located in this part of town, but its a little on the higher side compared to stores in cities south of here
Nice
We get all the Indian groceries from here . They keep their stocks up all the time .
Good selection and offerings. Fresh veggies. Indian food items. And moreover fresh chapattis available here!
Good place for indian grocery. This location near Royal oak is particularly good. Variety of items. They opened a breadbox/bakery recently. Nice options.
You get absolutely ANY Indian food item here.. Near perfect
Their food in the bakery is sooo good
Best Indian grocery store in the Detroit metropolitan region. Unlike many other Indian grocery stores, this Patel Stores location is large, has spacious aisles and a large fresh produce section. If I lived near the store, this would have been my primary grocery store
The store is in a easy to get to location. Liked all their produce. It is easy to find everything you need in the store. Fresh produce is always very fresh. Kids love their fresh snack area
I can just fulfil all my Indian cravings!!
Good selection of fresh produce(fruits and vegetables) and the retail items. Patel brother is better than all the Indian stores out there But the only con is it closes early. I hope they are open until 10 pm.
Indian grocery store with a lot of things you cant find easily in American grocery stores. They also have a bakery department putting out fresh chapati and some yummy Samosas and stuffed wraps. Our favorite is the paneer tikka samosas.
Dont start closing vegetable section 20-30 mins prior to closing time.Dont keep expired grocery in the counters.Greet customers at billing counter if they greet you or not.
Always go to this place for groceries. 1 star is for 1 of the staff who started shouting (from atleast 10 mters away), on a customer who couldnt get out of the shop after billing fast enough. Simply rude, to a fact that other staff members were looking at him (wondering what he is doing). It was disrespectful.Everything else is good at the store.
Big store. Nice open layout. Fast service. Bit overpriced compared to other indian grocery stores
Not good customer serviceI ask employee I need magi box employee say don’t but I see whol box top off selfie spen 1000 $ grocery but not good costmer serviceOther employee say we going lunch so we close early they push out store time 2. Pm
Great place to buy Indian groceries, reasonable prices and, a good variety of choices for snacks, sweets and frozen food. You get almost all brands of Indian masala. The best time to visit is on Wednesdays (day after the weekly holiday) as they restock fresh vegetables.
