I Went to Kay Jewelers with my Wife to buy her her Real Christmas present. Its kind of easy to find in the Mall. It was a Sunday evening when we went and it was not busy. The fellow who helped and showed us different necklaces and let my Wife try some on was nothing but pleasurable and polite to deal with. We found the perfect necklace and it was a bit out of my price range, but he said it was on clearance and on top of that he added some other promo and in the end it was a whopping 60% off the price of the necklace! Now I know not every time I go there will be that good of a deal but I dont go to Jewelry Stores pretty much ever.This was a great experience for both of us and next time I need jewelry for my Wife I return to Kay Jewelers.

I have been looking for my engagement ring every day for the past three months. Yesterday (November 25, 2020, around 3 PM), I walked into the Trumbull Mall store (5065 Main St Trumbull, CT 06611)and the associate told me that they have twenty-five percent off the engagement rings. So, I am looking at one ring and my heart stopped - I found it! The store associate (Indian lady, she didnt have a name tag on) and I calculated the final price and with a twenty-five percent discount, the ring fits right in within my budget. So I am super excited and happy (you know this feeling when you finally found it!) just flying to the register to pay for it and guess what? They scanned the ring and told me that the ring is not on sale and the best they can do is fifteen percent. It was a 2-carat SOLITARE ring. The 10% price difference is a huge amount of money for me. So, I was almost in tears and walked out of the store.Ten minutes later I went back and decided to negotiate the price. I told them if they will meet me in a middle, since first I was told that I will get a twenty-five percent discount, and give me a twenty percent discount I will buy it right away. Instead of offering me options and try to work with me on the budget, they told me that I wont be able to find the same ring at this price anywhere else (Macys, 10 feet away, got similar rings at the same price) and that they can help me find another, smaller ring that I can actually AFFORD! Really!? I was speechless!I would recommend Kay to work with their employees and especially managers (she also didnt have her name tag attached) and tell them that they cannot show attitude toward customers. I was there with cash on hands ready to buy a 2-carat solitaire, but the attitude that was shown by the employee and unwelcoming manager who wasnt able to handle the situation left me really speechless. I cannot even tell how upset and disappointed I am. My family bought a few diamond rings there, but I will NEVER EVER go back to Kay Jewellers again and would not recommend anyone to go there!The craziest thing that when I came home and checked KAYs online store, this ring was on 20% sale with a promo code! So, the manager could easily match the price right from the beginning! I just cant believe how rude and unwelcoming she was! Kay just need to do something on your side to better educate your staff on how to work with clients!

I have precious jewelery from Kay Jewelers in the Trumbull Mall in the past. So I had a issue exchanging a ring, between customer care and a gentleman named Hector went over and beyond helping me out. Even when it came to fixing my watch that I did not purchase there. This time in age hard to find quality workers that will go over requirements to help a customer. For this, had a great experience because of Hector.
I wouldnt put this so much against the store personally but this makes them look extremely bad. I purchase a Citizen Eco-Drive watch about mid August. Had a accident with the watch itself and had to get it repaired. I brought it in the beginning of December, got a call back about the estimate about beginning of January. Right there should of been a sign of things to come if it takes a month to get a estimate. We are now at mid February and they still have my watch. I call in to get a ETA when this would be done. They tell me the manager will call me back. Of course never does which then I call back 4 hours later to get the answer myself. I am told it will be another 4-6 weeks. That means best case scenario i get my watch back 3 whole months after I asked to just get the band replaced. If you went anywhere else locally this would be a month TOPS to fix. you would expect Kay to have bands lying around for this to happen. All I know is this is the first and last time I go against my word and not shop at a local store.
Went there for more wifes wedding band and left very satisfied. My wife was happy, so thats makes me happy. Great service and they have and awesome team.
This location has never disappointed me when it comes to customer service (unlike other stores in this mall)I wish I could remember the names of three employees specifically, so I dont have to identify them by their physical features or ethnicity. Hopefully theyll recognize themselves in the review. Two ladies and a young man helped me with a set of three rings, which means extra time was needed to complete the transaction. Well, their awarness of the lengthy process lead to a very smooth and effortless experience.While one lady was marking the items and preparing them to be shipped, another lady engaged in a fun genuine conversation with me. BUT! The most important and worth mentioning was the male employee, who was not bothered at all by my 5 year old trying to talk to him about...well, wrestling. Not only he didnt dismiss her, but he actually interacted with her, exchanging fun facts and information. I mean, talk about a clever and thoughtful approach! When the customers children are having a good time, so is the customer; therefore that customer will return and, either spend more money, or will at least recommend the business to others!So, yes, I was very happy both with the practical aspect of my visit to this store, and I was deffinitely impressed by the customer service skills displayed by each employee here.Thank you!
If you need someone knowledgeable who cares TALK TO MELANIE!!!! My fiancé bought my beautiful Neil Lane engagement ring from this branch. Unfortunately the ring was big but he had bought the insurance, so I was able to bring it and resize it for no charge. I received the ring back three days earlier then expected to but my heartbreak was still big, when they had sized me!!! I was so upset but Melanie came to the rescue was able to give me the ring they had in stock that fit me perfect!!! I was so happy I almost cried!!! I needed my ring for our engagement party so everything worked out! She made me feel like she really cared!
I was finally able to pair my engagement ring :)Thanks to Joram diamondtologist! After few weeks of being engage I gave up hunting for the perfect wedding band. I went to this Kay location to resize my engagement ring. I told Joram that I had looked everywhere but that it was impossible to find a perfect match. He looked at my ring and said hold on a second magically he brought this beautiful Diamond Enhancer Ring 1/8 ct tw Round-cut 14K White Gold and all I had to say was I love you!!! I thank Joram for being such an amazing consultant and most importantly for being part of my big day.
Every time i ever needed to get my jewelry fixed they would give me a short period of time of when they’d have it done, & actually end up getting it done before the date. I love Kay’s.
I am utterly disgusted with the service I recieve from the manager Chrishane at Kay Jewelers again today. About 3 months ago I called and I had the same issue with her. She is extremely rude with some sort of ghetto attitude.This specific store already has such a bad reputation. Hopefully the regional manager and owner would see where the problem lies. I suggest you hire people who wants to help build your business, not someone who just pockets their monthly salery and goes back to the hood. It will help your success alot to make some changes and redesignate a dedicated manager that gives a damn about your business.
My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars in Kay Jewelers. But we are done! We drop off my Movado watch for a band repair. Happens they couldnt/didnt want to swap the damage parts with the brand new ones I brought. They took everything to be send out for a estimate because they said I needed a new band. Called me to pick because was ready and to our surprise, THEY DIDNT FIX ANYTHING! Hows that you manager and staff dont check the merchandise before. And to make it worse, how you dare to said movado sent the parts my band needed to be repair when I drop those along with my watch!!!
