One of my favorite places. Great selection of seafood and frozen specialty items. Very reasonably priced value sizes. Their selection of produce may be small, but impressive quality. They also have kitchen appliances like hotpots and indoor grills
Great selection of things! The owner was so sweet and helpful, his wife makes fresh kimchi and other goodies, the son helped me find other ingredients hed recommended for a dish I was going to give a go at. Definitely will return.
Very rude to my daughter and I about how long we took to look at items while we were carrying a full basket. I feel like she is uncomfortable with non korean in her store very rude will never have my money again bye beeeeeech
Wonderful market with lovely rice, beans, teas and local honey. Special Asian delicacies in refrigerator and freezer case. Proprietor is very reserved and polite but will explain the intricacies of the cuisine. A must stop!
Small shop for a quick stop. Has a little of everything. Friendly place.
Small store with a helpful owner and a surprisingly comprehensive selection. Highly recommend for anybody in central or east Tucson.
Coming here felt like coming home. It has all the things an amateur cook needs to recreate grandmas dishes if your grandma is a tiny Asian woman. They have homemade rice cakes on Wednesdays, so time your visit right!
Great section for making ramen. Very helpful owners.
Cute little Mom and Pop Korean market. Not a huge selection, but specific Korean things that are hard to find in a normal American grocery. It really reminds me of an everyday store in Korea.
Love this place. Friendly people, great prices
Cute market place. lots of small korean goodies and fair prices
Ive meant to go in here for years, and finally did. I actually needed sesame oil and ginger powder, which I found for cheaper than a chain grocery, as well as some bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. There are many cool things in there that I have no idea what to do with, and the man working was very nice. I got a wall calendar of Korean art too. I will be back.
One of my kids and I decided to try out this market. The woman (owner??) working was very kind and made sure we were doing ok. It is a tiny shop but they have a decent selection of goods. You can find anything from household wares to bulk items such as rice, to small individual things such as wafers. Two walls contain refrigerated items such as meals, snacks, and fresh foods like ginger. Some things are priced on the high side and others arent. I can understand though since importing goods isnt cheap. We are happy with our purchase and enjoyed trying new things!
Small space chock full of Asian foods, ingredients and spices. Reasonable prices. Also great source for utensils, steam baskets, pots, serving bowls and dishes.
Best asian market
It and a nice market to go and get what you need when youre making Asian food or whatever you need your snacks its a nice little place they have a lot of stuff I love it
This store is really clean, and the owner is really nice! Good spot for soju if youre looking for that.
It was great, the clerk helped me find what the store had in stock and reccomended the store where i could pick up the rest
Amazing variety of everything! Very clean and would go there everyday if I could.
Amazing place and friendly service Im definitely going back
Really a great place to go to where u can find some good ramen and they have it. Sure its pretty small for each isle but they do have a great service that they can help you what youre looking for.
Not good. I went in and immediately started gagging the smell was so bad. You could tell there was no air moving either which just made it worse. Been to a lot of oriental/Asian markets in my time... None of them smelled like this. In normal times that would be bad...In the age of Covid19, not a chance. It didnt even LOOK sanitary.
Cute little shop that has great kimbap on Fridays for only $5! Best quick lunch if you can get some before they sell out.
Love this place, staff are friendly, pretty sure its family owned? Theyre helpful, great selection of food and less expensive than other local Asian markets that Ive been to.
If thet aint got it you dont need it.
Kimpo is a gem of a store for the size... There are other Asian markets that have more variety, but this is the mom and pop type place that probably has anything you could possibly be looking for. Im certainly going to become a regular here. The owners are super friendly, and helped me locate a few random items. Worth a visit, & if it isnt out of the way for you, great place to frequent.
Friendly staff, but a very small place. (I may just be spoiled having had access in the past to a couple of mega oriental markets.) Prices were ok and the place was neat. No fresh produce.
Omgshhh there Kimbaps are my favorite things to get. I always forget that theyre available only on Fridays. But one of 2 places here in Tucson where Ive found Jin ramyeon and parilla leaves for bbq
Very clean store, owner is friendly. He has mostly Korean products, but carry other Asian products as well; pots, pans & knick-knacks. Plenty of Korean ramen and many frozen items! Store also has some cheap vegetables like Asian eggplants, green onions, garlic, ginger, potatoes, etc... bought boba/tapioca pearls from this store.
This place has everything you need to make your Asian dishes plus they have makeup and dishes and decorations and all kinds of really cool stuff!! Ive been going here with my mom since 1995
Best place Ive found to get raw local honey
This place is awesome. Talked to the owner as he checked me out and was very nice. They are stocked and have all kinds of good imports.
I frequent this store for snacks. Has a great variety! 👍
A little hidden gem in Tucson. I stopped in tonight after visiting my daughter who lives nearby. The owner was really friendly. We got there right at 7 when it closed not realizing that and he let us stay a shop for a bit. Once we realized he was supposed to be closing up we hurried with our stuff, but he remained friendly the whole time. Also, I was very impressed with the variety of items they had to offer. I didnt get a chance to peruse the whole store, but I will definitely be going back.
They have all the korean stuff you would want.
So many awesome foods and wide variety of noodles and fresh vegetables. Even meats and home decor including dishes and cooking items. It was an amazing experience and I will be back
I was looking for a variety of cheap meat and they only had a small selection so didn’t meet my needs for this trip.Otherwise, they had a little of everything. Spices, teas, snacks, produce (fresh, unbruised, apples were the biggest I’ve ever seen), beauty supplies. Selection of frozen desserts as well.Employee greeted me immediately upon entering and asked how he could help. I told him I was just having a look and he said “No problem” and left me alone but I would have felt comfortable approaching him if I had questions. The store is in a plaza, easily visible from street. Storefront parking. A row of about ten spots, with a few neighboring businesses. There is more parking in the adjacent lot.At first glance, it looks closed as all the windows are blacked out.
Thank you so much!!!! Really excited to make some amazing miso thanks to your available ingredients!!!
Great little market. They sell premade items as well as oriental food that is hard to find or you cant find in traditional markets.
Korean market. We were looking for Thai groceries so had to go to Moans.
A good store, they had a large selection in a tight space. I would like to see them expand.
We were visiting from Napa Valley, CA and decided our daughter needed some 한국식붐 and googled for Korean food, we randomly chose this store and were glad we did. They had all the necessities for turning out a Korean meal as well as some snacks both Korean and Japanese. Did not find many western style foods, but were not looking for any. Among other things we bought com 총각김치, 고주장,배주김치, 김, as well as other items. I noticed the had a number of different bibigo products like 설렁당,짜짱 and a few others. The bibigo products are most of the hard work is done and you shake them home and finish them. We will shop there whenever we are in Tucson
I shop here whenever I am making Korean food. The owners are always very nice and helpful if I need to find something in specific. I also really like the various kimchi that they sell. Aside from food they also have various home items.
My favourite Asian market in town! They have everything you need to cook authentic food, and they have an amazing selection of snacks if youre just dipping your toes into the realm of Asian foods.
Ewww I was actually seeing a trick that live next to this stinky place
Small little shop youd miss unless you were looking for it, and what a great find. Great source of sauces, noodles, and occasional veggies as well as a huge range of other food and household products. Great prices! Friendly staff. Thank you!
This little market is great! The owner Wan is very friendly and helpful.
This place is always well kept & the people are friendly. They have a large selection of noodles, lots of frozen & refrigerated items, snacks, and home goods. I wish they had brown rice noodles, but that doesnt bother me that much. Thumbs up!
Very wide selection of Oriental foods and other miscellaneous items. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Love this shop.
Very nice and quaint. Has a lot of variety and the prices are good! Will definitely be going again.
Best Market in town.
Very nice staff, and they have many very tasty and diverse products
Owner was really friendly. Nice local store close to our apartments vs driving all the way north for oriental stuff.
Ok, basic oriental market
I love love love this market, so many goodies all in one place. Great service! Everytime I walk in I’m greeted with a smile and a hello ( ◠‿◠ )
They have a decent variety of Korean things and food. And the owner is helpful with hunting down those hard to locate items in the store. Their variety is good considering that Tucson doesnt have a large Korean presence. Check em out and get your Korean food on!
Me and my family just moved to Tucson couple of months ago. As you can tell by my name I am an Korean and Ive been in to two Korean store and Lee Lees. Lee Lees have most fresh ingredients and different products from different countries but they have very few selections of Korean food. At Kimpo they have lot more selections of Korean products and owner was very nice (My hubby isnt Korean and the owner talk to him more than he talk to me.) If you need fresh Asian ingredients such as meat, fish and vegetables Lee Lees is the place to go but if you simply looking for Korean stuff I think Kimpo is the place you looking for.--- My English isnt very good and if I miss spelled or something please understand. >_
Always my favorite Asian store to go to for authentic Korean food! The owners wife makes amazing kimchi and seasoned squid, plus so much more!
Small place, but packed with a quality selection. Much better chopsticks than I could find at Lee Lees.
I love this small market. The homemade kimchee is great. Its easy to get in and out. Prices are good considering the specialty items.
I had a desire for Kimchee and was pleased to find Kimpos has three sizes. I got the LARGEST one, which was about a GALLON! It was perfect!
This place will have your basics if you want to make a decent meal and its the only oriental food market nearby. However, most of what I had purchased was almost expired. The manager or owner was very pushy and constantly watched us shoo. While wed go from isle too islehe kept asking if we need help looking for items and rushed us through our shopping experience. There was no consistency in the shelves being organized. And not many noodle options packaged or bulk. Not a waste of a trip but I wont be going back for anything I think I couldnt already get at another grocery store.
I love just browsing all the things here. I always leave with treats!
Best Korean market near me...if you call 7 miles away near.
They had everything I was looking for but the price was pretty high on some of the items. There is this one Mabo Tofu sauce I used to buy from the big Korean markets for around a dollar. Here it was 4 dollars. Highway robbery. And I felt like they overcharged me. So when I went home I matched up all the products to the receipt and they had overcharged me by over $30.00. They are very dishonest. The lady ringed me up and she screwed me on purpose or was incompetent.
Great products but you need to bring cash for the $10 limit.
Great little Korean market that carries a little of everything including other Asian spices etc. Fresh selection of veges frequently used in Asian cooking. Great location.
Great for getting oriental food imports. Better priced than typical grocery stores.
Great Korean grocery store. The owners are the only ones I have seen behind the cash register. They make their own kimchi and could not be more helpful if you want to get into Korean cooking.
Awesome selection of oriental goods and goods and fresh made kimchi varieties!!
I love purchasing soju from here! Great price and very close!
The owners of the store are always welcoming and friendly. The store is clean and well stocked.
Miss the small jars of kimshe
Lots of variety of packaged Korean food even though the store itself is small, and the homemade kimchi is fantastic.
Small place but they have a good selection of stuff
I love all the Korean tupperwear and snacks. They also sell soju which was what I was looking for. Very neat.
Amazing selection and friendly staff.
Nice store - friendly and clean. Great gimbap 😄
Wide selection of Asian ingredients. Friendly & helpful staff. Space-limited stock.
I never had kimchi slymi. Yak and I called the store to ask for f o could bring it back, he said he will call me back. A few minutes later he called and said the company doesnt give refound. So I never want to come back to this horrible store. Of I could give 0 I would.
Large selection for a small store, dont be afraid to ask for help, their service is great.
Friendly service small and yet lots of stuff to choose from
Wide variety of foods and Oriental products at affordable prices
Excellent selections for a store this sized.
One of my go-to Asian markets. They always have great stuff, great prices. And soju!!
Friendly, clean and delicious inexpensive Kimbap!
Expensive compared to korea although thats to be expected otherwise pretty neat place for korean goods
Decent selection, good homemade kimchi, kind and helpful owner. Just needs a bigger soju selection.
Friendly service, good selection of products and reasonable prices.
Friendly service stocked with all the basics you need.
Kempo is one of the best places to buy Korean food in Tucson. We visit this store regularly and the owner Won is always helpful.
Small market with limited selection, but owner was friendly and attentive.
Very friendly staff and the homemade side dishes (반찬) are delicious!!!
Friendly service. I buy my pork belly and kimchi here.
Friendly, helpful, courteous, and reasonably priced. What more could you want?
The ONLY place to buy soju in town. The other korean market sells only one variety at too expensive a price
