While traveling with my family my RV needed engine work on the diesel so I was referred to this shop. Marty was accommodating to my family and helped us out every step of the way. He communicated well by text to keep us informed and the work was completed before other shops could even get us in. The engine runs better than ever and all for a fair price. I had a motor built for me by a very capable mechanic. I know hes built many high performance racing motors. My motor is a little 4 cylinder engine in old truck. Everything was replaced new.My engine builder took the rods and pistons to HMS . It took 3 days for them to get it done. My engine ran great 6 months then it started knocking. We take the motor apart and the pin holding the rod and piston came apart. That can only happen if it wasnt pressed together properly. HMS wont even return our calls. Do not I repeat dont trust your parts or motors to these hacks.

Had a vehicle that was given to him months ago along with a very large amount of money. Was told it would take meer weeks to do the job. Weeks went by with no information, no calls returned, no emails answered. Its been seven months and the vehicle is still not serviced. Yet he still asks for money. Save yourself the headache and call someone else. This guy should have his license revoked due to poor business practices.

Took 3 days to press a set of 4 pistons. I had to go sit in the office to make them get up and do it. They reached through it and didn’t seat a pin fully. Told me that it’s ok and it would loosen up after it cooled. 6 months in and it cost me a full motor. Wrist pin backed out and shredded the cylinder wall. J call to talk about it. The douchebag manager blames me for trusting the work of the professional and not knowing more than the guys I paid to do the work. Give your 5 year old a hack saw and a drill - you’ll get better machine work from that than if you give anything to these hacks who call themselves machinists.

Marty built my 289. Charged me $200 bucks for a $49 fly wheel, by accident allegedly. Never made it right. Then the engine had a loose wrist pin after 2k miles. Now we cant get a call back. I should have gone to motor works. Stay away from this hack shop.

I paid Marty Hussak for an engine rebuild and valve job. Valve job was not done. When this was discovered immediately after receiving engine I called Marty Hussak who advised me warranty was now invalid because valve covers were removed to find out why there was low compression. Found same worn out valves that were there when engine was dropped off. Can someone recommend a machine shop with integrity please?
