Patrick, Christian and the technician team are absolutely outstanding! I chose this shop after combing reviews of many places and I can see why everyone was so happy. I personally never take my cars in to get any work, preferring to do it all myself but I could not be happier with my decision. Both Patrick and Christian were absolute professionals and extremely knowledgeable. I am beyond grateful that they were there to represent the company. I was really happy with this place. They really go above and beyond I think to take care of their customers. Super flexible and I felt very reasonable prices. If the need arises I would certainly go back. I saw somebody else make a post about how hard it is to find a reputable and honest mechanic. I truly think that these guys are just that.

Patrick wouldnt even give me a price quote for a oil pan leak over the phone. He said it could vary based on the severity which makes sense. So I asked him how much would it be, worst case scenario, to replace the entire oil pan. He was kind of short with me and said that he is not going to offer a phone quote. Because my car would need to be towed for repair I will not even consider this place for work. Their loss!

April 2020...Went there for my check engine light. After 3 visits and over $1,600, the engine light is still on. At the time i had just had a double mastectomy and was starting chemo. When I complained about the cost and inconvenience (I am a single, older adult), Patrick told me to calm down and stop being so emotional! Excuse me, how would he feel if someone just cut off a part of his body that he really liked?! Then he proceeded to complain to ME about his truck tires costing $2,000. BTW...they were able to get the engine light off long enough to take for emissions test, then it came back on. Ive been driving around for over a year with that light on -- not knowing whether anything is really wrong.Would never recommend this place to anyone. DONT GO THERE!

Its a very difficult job to find a reputable honest and reliable auto maintenance repair facility, but I found one right in my own neighborhood. I recently had some work performed at another repair facility that made my Mustang worst than when I took it in. AAstro diagnosed the issue in less than half the time promised, gave me detailed information on the issue both verbal and email with pictures. They completed the work as and delivered my car as promised. Beware! Beware! Beware! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Brought my truck in for a transmission issue and was told it was going to be $800 to fix it, but then....got the call the next day that they were wrong and it was going to be $5,000! These guys are the masters of the bait and switch rip off trick. When I told them forget about the $800 fix, they told me too late and I had to pay it in order to get my truck back. They kept pushing their in-house financing as an answer to their $5,000 rip off. After I made it aware I was extremely unhappy and going public, they tried to cover their tracks with a phony transcript on their invoice that was full of spin and lies. They tried to get me to sign it and I refused. This is the classic rip off mechanic shop and I am sure will try and bury this review. Buyer beware!

The greatest experience with a mechanic that I have ever had. Patrick was very knowledgeable, polite and the process is transparent. The Conditions Report that AASTRO sends out is a testament to their commitment to keeping their customers well informed throughout every step of the process. The report contains pictures of the car and all of the parts in question are provided with thorough explanations of the state of the vehicle and suggestions for the work to be done. For someone who knows very little about vehicles, I greatly appreciated how everything was explained to me in Laymans Terms! And questions I did have were answered and explained in careful detail!! I was also impressed with the speed of the repairs. Despite the challenges of my car dying the day before Thanksgiving, when the shop was closed. Patrick was quick to diagnose my vehicle on Friday and went out of his way to find parts locally in Tucson, then completed all the repairs Saturday morning!!!!

At the time of service, my SUV only had two payments to go, prior to being paid off. On Saturday afternoon, I had discovered that my vehicle had essentially been kaput. There had only been a 12 volt output from my cigarette lighter and essentially nothing else. Despite an attempt to jump the car, nothing had happened. My SUV had essentially been deceased. On Monday morning, I had telephoned Aastro Transmissions, in order to schedule a repair. My vehicle had later been towed to their northwest Tucson location. The technicians had verified the fault and had informed me about every step of the process which they had undertaken along the way. Due to certain limitations, primarily due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, this particular repair had taken much longer than it ordinarily would have. Nevertheless, I had been informed of each component which had required replacement and I had authorized the work. Last Friday morning, I had been informed that my SUV had completely restored to essentially new condition. Most individuals would have probably given up and purchased another vehicle, but I had not been so quick to essentially throw away an old friend which had served me quite well for several years; out of the vehicles which I have owned, this had been my favorite. My SUV had been resurrected from the dead and I have the expert technicians at Aastro Transmissions to thank for that. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all those technicians who had made this a possibility and I would heartily endorse their superlative work to future customers. Thank you.

My regular reliable mechanic doesnt do auto trans work and recommended Patrick at AASTRO. I dont usually use chain shops for anything but figured if my guy trusted him I would. Excellent communication from the start and throughout the rebuild of my truck transmission. Recommended certain things be done from a reliablity and safety standpoint. In all, Im very pleased with them. I will be going to Patrick for all transmission service work and will likely have him take care of some other minor issues instead of going to my dealer.

We were in the process of getting it ready to give to my daughter, so we had all the fluids changed so she could have it. I went for a drive with it and something broke. After a FULL inspection and some great recommendations, I decided to go with the least cost option for getting my (once smoking) minivan back on the road. For professional and timely service, I drove away spending a LOT LESS than predicted. AASTRO has earned its ridiculously high rating.

I appreciate that that before any work is done, Aastro sends a detailed explanation of the service (including photographs) plus cost estimates. As far as I know, no other shop goes to this level of effort to provide the customer a good understanding of what is required. I also found Aastro uses higher quality (and OEM) replacement parts, it makes a difference.

Went to this shop with questions about the transmission in my 04 Murano and Patrick took time to listen without rushing me along and suggested options for me to consider. I chose one of the options and am very satisfied with the way the work was done and the charges were reasonable given the price of transmission repairs these days. Highly recommend.

I had so many bells and whistles going off in my car I thought it was about to just self destruct! I looked around online for a highly rated shop and found AASTRO.I have to say, they have earned their stellar reputation! From the very beginning Patrick kept me very well informed of what was going on and provided clear details on what they could do to fix it, and more importantly how much I could expect to pay.Unfortunately more issues were discovered while they were working to fix everything else, but Patrick was amazing at working with me to make sure I was not only satisfied with the price I was paying but that I would have a well running car when I left.I cant stress enough how pleasant the experience was in spite of how painful it could have been.Highly recommend Patrick and his amazing crew!

My Ford Expedition was jerking under very specific conditions. I didnt know if it was an engine or transmission issue. With a flat rate for diagnosing, these guys spent two days on my vehicle, which probably was a bit of a lemon to them. They found and fixed the problem. Communication and customer service was top notch and my vehicles runs great again! Patrick followed up with some great advice and held on to a worn part to give me more explanation. Super! After reading everyone elses review I am finding it very difficult to say something more complementary than has already been said. I had the fortunate coincidence of having my sons vehicle breakdown right in front of Patrick and Isabels shop. His car was not drivable and I was located 2000 miles away. I told him to go in and speak with the owners or managers and take a look at what was wrong with his car. He immediately came back and said that the people who he spoke with were extremely helpful am more than willing to help him out and get his vehicle in a safe place. Being the person who is paying for the repairs to my sons vehicle Patrick and Isabel or extremely communicative with me and explained everything that was wrong with the vehicle and what was needed to repair in a very concise manner. I always felt that Patrick had my best interest in hand and helped me make the best decisions around options to repair the vehicle and explained every step and every cost associated with the repair. In an industry known for some less than honest people I feel that Patrick and Isabel were extremely honest and very forthcoming with information on what was necessary to get my sons vehicle back on the road. If anything happens to his car again in Tucson I will tell him to go straight and see Patrick and Isabel right away. I would highly recommend them for any automotive maintenance or repair needs that you may have in the future.

I was sure my vehicle needed transmission work.Isabel and crew took incredible effort/care to find the real problem, which had nothing to do with transmission.Also,instead of replacing power steering pump,(which another place told me) found it was just the clamps on the hose.AASTRO is a shop to TRUST! Aastro does a great job of keeping my 1997 Lexus and my wifes 2007 Toyota Sienna running well. When the Siennas engine was straining during acceleration we had them look at the problem and they found a broken engine mount. Asked if we wanted to fix it, we said yes and they did a great job! I had a great experience at Aastro after another shop tried to tell me the rattling sound I was hearing underneath my vehicle was due to a transmission issue (it wasnt), and that they couldnt tell me what the problem was. Id told the first shop that I thought it was a loose heat shield, but they totally disregarded that and insisted I go to a transmission specialist.The technicians at Aastro took about an hour to locate the problem and fix it- because it was a simple fix, they did it free of charge. It was a huge relief to have someone friendly and competent take the stress of a potential transmission issue off my shoulders. I also really appreciated having someone take the time to answer my questions and explain what the issue was and how it was fixed. As a woman, I do not always get that courtesy from mechanics. Very happy customer!

NEVER go here! Had transmission problem, dropped off for evaluation, charge for diagnosis, but would give any type of quote for repair. Said they had to look in transmission first. Didnt have much choice as daily driver. Called around in meantime. They called back and wanted over $5000 to rebuild transmission. Could buy new for $2500 and another shop wanted $1800 for complete rebuild. THEY ARE THERE TO RIP YOU OFF!! Paid over $500 to get my car back NOT fixed. Other repair shop charged $1800 for rebuild and a little extra to fix chop job on exhaust from astro.

They gave me a free 360 inspection and report that specified all thats wrong with my car and whats doing good as well.I decided to get what was most important done for now: coolant flush, valve cover gaskets, radiator, water pump, and oil change.They gave me such an amazing deal for all of that work, it was incredible.This work all occured around two weeks ago and I waited to write a review to see how ky car was running. She sounds ao much better and shes running so smoothly. I took her to Phoenix and back with no issues whatsoever.I am so thankful I wasnt taken advantage of and that I found Aastro Transmission and Auto. Everyone was so kind to me and treated me well. I really took a chance researchinf on google to find a good auto repair place and it really paid off.I am forever thankful- Samantha

My car was in need of so much work, but my time and money was limited, nevertheless these guys went above and beyond what any other place would have. My vehicles water pump stopped working. I did a lot of internet research on the water pump. I figured out what needed to be fixed and checked. I researched many auto repair shops and narrowed my selection down to aastro on Ina. They had many good reviews. They repaired and checked exactly what I researched on the internet at a reasonable price. They also washed my vehicle. Everyone I talked to was professional and nice. I will definitely recommend them and and go back.

Too Expensive - Had been taking several of my vehicles here and realized that most of the time repairs would end up being $1,000+. Then I caught them a couple of times marking up the parts too when the identical part was available on Amazon for approx. half what Aastro was charging me. The $10 coupons they give you isnt worth the repeated overcharges. Never Again Aastro

They are always friendly, and have always been willing to help us. It also seems calm, so I dont get the sense of being overwhelmed.
