Douglas Auto is fantastic! They clearly explain options and openly acknowledge when a repair isnt necessary (fixes an annoyance that wont affect anything else). When I used to do repairs on my own car, they would even do partial repairs so I could do the rest.In the 12 years we have gone to them, we have never had an issue. We use them for all our car repair/maintenance needs.

Good quality repairs for the past 15 years on my vehicle (2003 Hyundai). There prices are little high & there materials (Auto parts are high as compared online ). This could be due to same day delievies fees. I always Research Online the Auto parts and review repairs on YouTube so I can understand the lingo shop explanations for the repairs before I go in to get an estimate.

Honest and reasonable. The work they did was $300 less than the quote from the shop I used to go to. They were reasonable and took into consideration what I use the car for instead of telling me a long list of small flaws that didn’t need to be addressed at this time. I will definitely be back for my car and my wife’s car.

I have taken my truck here for repairs and each time it is done quickly and for a reasonable price. I now recommend this place to people, I feel they are honest and jean at the front desk is always sweet and goes out of her way to be helpful! My last visit I was in a time crunch and they moved things around so that I could pick my truck up at the end of their business day, not many places make that much of an effort, especially when so busy. I will continue to be a returning customer!

Very honest and reasonable pricing. I was a little hesitant to bring our vehicle here since it has always been dealer serviced since day 1. Shop is very country which should be obvious due to its location but they are fully equipped and extremely knowledgeable. Staff was also really friendly! Ill be returning here instead of the dealer from now on.

Issue didnt get resolved and when I took it back the vehicle was looked at but I was told by owner he couldnt have his employee waste any more time trying to solve the problem. Paid for service that did find a fix but original problem still there.

I have been going to this shop since it was a 2 man operation. I got to know Bob Douglas and his wife very well over the 20 + years. Very respectable people, as are their children and son inlaws. This is the most honest shop I have ever taken my vehicles to. Will not ever go to another shop ever! Keep up the good work.

Best And Most Honest Mechanic EverBob Douglas is a very honest and helpful man. Knows cars inside and out. Weve brought our cars here for decades and feel super comfortable with the service weve received. Its kind of out of the way down Joplin which is a dirt road but totally worth it once you get there. For sure call first and make an appointment. Hes always busy. Cant say enough good things about him or his business.

Amazing staff. Needed a belt replaced and was in the midst of getting back home. They checked everything and replaced the exact part we needed without charging an arm and a leg. Will reccomend them to anyone looking for an auto repair shop.

Friendly and helpful. They fixed an issue that another repair shop fixed for me earlier this year. However, the experts at Douglas Auto actually fixed it correctly the first time for half the price and I didnt have to return multiple times to have them correct sloppy work. I will certainly be taking my truck back to them for my future repair and maintenance needs.

Douglas Auto easily has the most helpful and knowledgeable mechanics in the Tucson area. They work efficiently and honestly. All the work Ive brought to them has been done in a timely manner, and at a fair price. I have never been pressured to have unnecessary work done by them. I have never had a bad experience with Douglas Auto, and I dont plan on getting my car serviced anywhere else as long as theyre in business.

Honest people doing great work. They came in under the estimate for the one repair and was completed as promised. The shop even let me know what could wait to be repaired where a previous shop made it sound like the issue was doom and gloom. Definitely my go to shop in the future.

If you read through other reviews you will see the word honest pop up over and over again...there is a great reason for that! They are extremely honest in their business practices.Took a car in having brake issues and basically gave them a blank check letting them know just to fix what needed to be fixed and I would pay it. They could have turned the front and back rotors and changed the brake pads and charges for the whole job and I wouldnt have known it wasnt necessary. Instead it turns out by just turning the front rotors and test driving before doing anything else the issue was fixed costing me about 1/6th the amount I was thinking it may be for the whole job. They put what is honest and right ahead of $$ which is very rare in this world.If youre reading this review let me tell you that you just found your new mechanic for life!

Ive been car hunting for a little while now and Ive brought in a couple cars for them to look at and they are super honest and up front about damages! They know exactly what to look for (previous car crash, shotty work, etc). It is so wonderful to know that Im taking my possible future car to someone I can trust, and know I am getting a good deal for what Im purchasing. I wouldnt think of going ANYWHERE else for any of my car needs.

I had originally taken my truck into Douglas auto for a transmission service, and while they were not the cheapest around, I liked the reviews I saw and they did a fine job. I now decided to trust them with my Jeep and got taken for a ride on the parts prices! There is making a profit, and then there is this kind of deceptive sales practice. Charged $100 for a part (twice) that is $15 at any parts store, and only around $60 straight from the dealer. Needless to say, I wont be returning. Keep in mind, this was the final price total! Not just an estimate.

I have had nothing but good experiences with these guys. We have taken our cars here several times, and have been extremely pleased every time. They spent quite a few hours testing the alternator on my husbands car, only to find out it was the computer that was bad. Since they didnt fix anything, they didnt charge us a cent. The customer service is amazing, and the guys are always friendly.Best part - they are 100% local! Dont trust your car to anyone else.

The best auto repair in Tucson area...perhaps the World. Scheduled repairs today expecting to pay around $200-$300. After being shown a broken spring and completing repairs, the bill came to under $75. I will never go anywhere else.

We are traveling cross country in an RV and encountered a problem that could have derailed us for days. They worked us in and in record time had us back on the road! Excellent accommodation and service!

We went to them after our car failed emissions and our Mechanic for 5 years didnt know what to do to fix it.We had already paid 300 deductible and we took it to Douglas Auto and they tested it and we dropped it off and the next day I got a call that it was fixed and it would be 46 dollars.I am taking all my cars to them. They are friendly, detailed and patient. I am so relieved we found someone that knows what htey are doing and wont rip us off!!Im glad we found them!!

Been taking my cars to Douglas (1 Dodge Neon and the rest all newer Hondas) for the last few years.Repairs have always been timely and reasonably priced. Never had anyone try and mislead me with fake repairs that were hundreds of dollars.Also had a recurring issue with a master cylinder years ago and had to go back to Douglas 4x in a row - they never charged me for any of the followup visits AND eventually replaced the entire master cylinder for free because Robert (owner) guaranteed me he would fix it if it happened 1 more time.Really nice group of folks over there. Its a smaller operation, but they know their stuff.Thanks Douglas Auto!

Their pricing is great and they are very proficient and timely. They dont try to overcharge or pressure you into buying parts that dont even need fixing.

I have rarely stepped into a shop, and felt that honesty and customer service is at the forefront of the business operation -- these are the focus of this business. That isnt to say that good diagnosis and repair isnt important, as they are just as strong in this regard, but this aspect is common in many repair shops -- honesty and service is haard to find in addition.The first time I came by, I was having a noise in the wheel that I couldnt determine myself (my family has mechanics). They drove around with me to try and diagnose it, and would not charge for this activity if they ended up doing the repair. The rates were fair, as were the parts prices. During subsequent visits, they helped diagnose issues that I was going to repair myself, and in some cases advised me to do a job myself as the only way they could do a repair with warantee was to get a new part that was very pricey. If a business is looking out for your best interest, that is a good sign. I also had some emissions work done on the car, and they are very fair with what they charge and dont charge, as sometimes these issues are a bit of a diagnostic hunt.They also pick me up and drop me off from home, which means I dont have to do strange coordinations on getting to and from the shop. They can work with your schedule for after-hours pickup/dropoff.They arent AAA certified, but this is due to them 1) saving money as it is expensive for a shop to maintain that, and you pay for it, and 2) not needing external certification to establish itself as a worthy shop.The only thing I can complain about it that sometimes the car comes back dirty (even in the engine?) due to a good portion of the place being on dirt. Dont wash your car before doing a repair here.

These guys have been working on my 82 Vette. First I had to learn patience with this car as it over 34 years old and most of the OEM parts are starting to break down. Piece by piece weve replaced major components of this car. They installed a Jasper Transmission, shocks, alternator, and many other components. Jon and Jean are amazing and I highly recommend them. The stand behind their work and they dont BS pricing.
