George blew my mind, and saved my butt today. I was down visiting a buddy in Vail when the hubcap on my 1970 Cadillac slashed my valve stem. I called them shortly before closing, and was told if I brought in my tire unmounted, they would have it done in no time. He wasnt kidding! George met me at the car, and brought the tire into the shop. Before i even had time to look around the lobby and finish the glass of water i grabbed from the water fountain, he was done with the tire and I was on my way! Wonderfully fast, professional service. I will absolutely use them again. Their service is 100% worth the 45 minute drive from my home, i WILL be using them again!

Shop was able to fit us in last minute. Checked in at 5 pm, they were able to get the part next morning and finish up by 10 AM. Great shop! Highly recommend. No price gouging honest shop.

I’ve given them a hefty amount of business over the last few months and they have been Johnny on the spot getting repairs done in days when I expect weeks and can do pretty quick diagnostics. While they’re human and may miss something, they will do everything in their power to make things right. I’ve dealt with many automotive repair shops in my time and these guys are the real deal. When asked they’ve lifted my vehicle to point out my issues, captured pictures of issues for my warranties, and given me their honest opinion of what is/isn’t necessary to be fixed. After setting an appointment for my Ford F150 with Holmes Tuttle Ford and waiting for 7 hours and getting nothing done, I decided to take it to Rita Ranch Automotive and Tire. It was a very difficult repair problem as it would start sometimes and then not start leaving me stranded They kept it for a few days and then called me and said they found the problem. They got me back on the road for a very reasonable price. Close, convenient and most importantly effective in the repair.

Had new tires put on today at Rita Ranch Automotive & Tire. Got in around 7:30 am and out around 10. Also, had an oil change a few months back. This is my new go to place for anything I need fixed on my car. Big shout out to them!

My husband brought our car in for an alignment at 8am since its first come first serve today and it took them until 3pm to do what took 10 minutes.

This shop tried to charge me $830 to replace a fuel pump of which I looked up the part. It was only a$250 dollar part so $600 for labor just seems really steep. Then I took it for a second opinion somewhere else they found out it was just a dirty intake pipe, cleaned it and only cost me $130. But the new shop told me when the garage was finished they forget to hook up a hose in the engine and they killed my battery. Battery was fine before bringing it in then when it got to the second shop it was dead. Over priced and dishonest.

We have been going here for years for our oil changes and tire replacements.Today George and the crew went way out of their way to help when we had a full truck of furniture, a six month old baby, and were stuck with a bad battery. Within an hour we were back on the road.I have never had such a good experience with any other repair shop in the past, and they wowed us during this crisis. We cannot thank them enough.

I had initially rated them 5 stars but I’m dissatisfied with the last work they did. I own a small business, I took in one of my company vehicles to get a power steering pump replaced. Within 2 days I started noticing power steering fluid on my drive way. I mistakenly thought maybe it was residual from when they changed the pump.I had a contract out of town 4 days after they changed the pump. I started noticing the pump was making noise again and the steering wheel was stiffing up again. I checked and the power steering fluid was low which then indicated to me there was a leak, so I added more fluid. Well the next day it started making noise again, at that point one of my employees pin pointed the leak. The rubber hose that connects to reservoir. We had to take time out of 4 day contract to drive to autozone and try to find a replacement hose. When we swapped out the hose we noticed the one that was on there had two big slashes, as if made by a blade. How does your technician miss this? I lost money from my contract because I had to take time to replace a hose that should have been inspected and replaced when I went in.I’m giving them 3 stars because they have done good work in the past or else I would have given them a 1 star because of this.

My car failed its smog test. One of the garages recommended was Ventura which I found was now Rita Ranch Automotive & Tire. I was a little nervous, I had no idea what the problem might be or how much it might cost. Jay helped me out in the front office and said first theyd do a diagnostic then hed discuss what was wrong. I got settled in on the comfy couch with my book but Jay was back pretty quickly. Ends up my tires were over inflated and my gas cap was too loose. Wow. Once the tires and gas cap were adjusted the engine light went off. Jay could have told me anything and I would have agreed to the work, then he said there was no charge because they hadnt done any work. He told me to drive it around and come back if the engine light came back on. I went back for the smog retest and passed. Pretty amazing. I know some of the reviews can be off putting but please continue reading mine. I brought my car in when it was completely dead and a mystery as to why. The battery was repacked and all appeared to be fine. It died a few days later and came in again. These gentlemen had my car 3 different times. When I expressed how frustrated I was Terry, the owner made it right. He even drove me home when I had no time to call a ride before getting to daycare. They will find the problem, give them a chance, they are a small business and understand they are part of the community. You wont likely find that at a chain and you sure wont find the piece of mind. I plan on using them again for my automotive needs because they didnt ignore the problem, or try to pin it on me. They took the investment of time and effort to understand how to make it better.

Don’t take your vehicle to this shop. A woman I know took her dads 1964 Chevy pickup that he bought in 1965 because it wasn’t running right. The owner told her it had a bad engine but he would gratefully purchase it from her. The woman not being in right frame of mind sold it to him for what he offered, a third of trucks worth !! This type of business practice makes one wonder what other shady unscrupulous dealings has this business been involved in if the owner would take advantage of a woman that was in a bad situation and desperate

These guys are great. I normally do all of my own work, but sometimes a rusted fastener will kick your ass, and you lack the tools and space underneath to break it loose.I brought my car down after attempting to replace the exhaust system and failing to remove a damaged fastener. They brought it in right away and zipped the nut off in no time, allowing me to complete the rest of the work. And while I would have been happy to pay them, they didnt charge me at all. Given how helpful theyve been, I will happily direct all my family members to their business for regular maintenance and repairs.

I will definitely be returning to Rita Ranch Automotive for any other auto issues. They were able to get me in the same day whereas the dealerships werent able to see me until next week. They ran diagnostics and visually checked everything and they narrowed it down to the engine control module needing to be replaced or reflashed. They werent able to resolve my electrical problem but they were honest about it and didnt charge me an arm and a leg for the diagnostic test.

Dont want to hype this business to much. Ill never get my car in. Great job all around...

Great shop. Ive been in the auto repair business and do most of my own work. Some things I dont feel like doing or dont have the time so I take it to Terry-they are fair and reasonable. They dont try to suggest a laundry list of things you should do like the big retail chain repair shops. Avoid this shop. I took my vehicle which had just passed emissions and was running fine with no check engine light in to have vacuum lines repaired. I was told my car was ready. When I went to start it, the negative battery terminal was stripped out. I got that switched out and then the car was running rich with black smoke and raw fuel coming out of the tail pipe. I left the car with rita ranch automotive and tire an additional two days to have the owner call and tell me that the vacuum leaks were still there. He said that whenever a vacuum leak was fixed another would be made, transmission fluid was leaking and any mention of it was meet with the response that the fluid was irrelevant to the way it was running, which I agreed, I wanted to know what they did to my car. Also, the owner stated the mechanic said that the car was running like that with the check engine light on. So first, it wasnt transmission fluid. It was power steering fluid. I dont understand how they messed that up with the power steering pump whining the way it was. Not going to blame the shop for the power steering fluid leaking. The power steering was leaking a little before, but I expect them to get the fluid right, the car was showing signs of what fluid it was. Second, and more importantly, I took the car to another shop for the rich running problem to get figured out and Rita Ranch didnt connect the MAP when they reassembled my intake. With the MAP reconnected my car runs fine again. Funny thing is, rita ranch automotive and tire did the vacuum lines right, they just fell short at the end by not connecting the sensor. So either the mechanic was a lier, incompetent, or both. Regardless, I will not be taking any of my vehicles back and I would recommend no one else do so either. (The owner also implied my car was not worth spending anymore money on to repair)

Edit:ANOTHER AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT RRA! You guys just keep impressing!Brought my car in to have the hubcaps switched out (adult fail, I know!) and not only did they make quick work of the job, they also noticed that one of my tires was separating and set me up with two new ones. Shredding a tire on the interstate isnt a favorite hobby of mine, so I am incredibly thankful for their catch! Tried to put my spare on in the mean time and it turns out I dont have one. Fun! But never fear- the guys got a tire tracked down for that, too! All that and an offer for a ride home to pick up my other car! These guys are the business! My husband and I will never go anywhere else after their awesome customer service! Thanks RRA!!

Always wary of new mechanics. However, these folks have earned my business. Brought in 2 tractor wheels needing new tires. Was quoted just under 500 out the door. I was happy with that cost. 2 short days later my wheels are ready. Cost was just over 400. Being tractor tires, they didnt need balancing. I hadnt thought of that, they could have easily kept that money and Id have been none the wiser. Got the wheels faster and for cheaper than expected. Thus earning my business for the forseeable future. Love the new tires!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? My car was hit while the technician was driving in the parking lot and have yet to be repaired or compensated for the damage months later... blames it on the other person who is a parts delivery driver for them. Driver was gone before I was notified of the incident and also attempted to poorly buff the area which removed even more paint from the bumper.. and has still not been fixed...Was also charged full price for the oil change at the end of this incident ... is this a joke??Update: showed up twice and both times the owner/manager wasn’t around and I was told I’d receive a phone call. I took my car in with a suspected brake/rotor issue. They put it on the rack and inspected it, and then took it for a short drive. It was determined that there was no issue, and that no work was needed. Terry explained what I most likely had been hearing. There was no charge. - I will definitely be back when the car needs work. - Hopefully that will not be in the near future.

Not fast. Not cheap. But organized, efficient, courteous and professional. No high pressure for additional services. Went there for an oil change, got full synthetic in about an hour for $93 total.

They are even willing to give advice that may help you fix a problem on your own! Free advice is a rare thing indeed in todays world. I took a vehicle in I had been working on and was having issues with. A mechanic took a break looked at it and told me what he would try. He said if that didnt work bring it back and they could work on it. I took the advice and fixed it myself. That up front honesty has earned my business as long as Im in Tucson!

NEGLIGENCE AND LIES!! I got my oil changed, asking specifically to check all fluids, particularly the coolant because heat gauge had raised. Picked it up, was assured that all fluids were topped off and coolant good to go. I was initially pleased because the price seemed like such a good deal. Drove ir 2 miles home, then next time I drove, my car started to overheat. No coolant. Turns out it wasn’t a good deal at all, just complete negligence and fraud!!

Great shop. I have had my engine swapped there and they had it done in no time and at a reasonable cost.

In reference to the owner’s response to my initial rating: my daughter brought it in. 1996 4Runner. She told me the temp gauge was going up. I told her to immediately take it to you since she was near you already and ask to get oil change and specifically ask to check all fluids especially the coolant. I suspected this was what it was since the last couple times she had the oil changed it was at with her schools auto shop. We happened to have packed up and moved to Oregon the very next day. We towed the 4Runner with a UHaul during our move, so it was not driven until we arrived. Once in Oregon and driving the 4Runner, it almost immediately began to overheat. I checked the fluids. Coolant was obviously empty. I filled it myself (after a whole lot of hassle and stress since we were alone in new town/state; I can’t even describe how stressful that was) thankfully, It’s been completely fine since. Not leaking anything, but I had it checked by a mechanic to be sure. Engine is fine. I double checked with my daughter to make sure she communicated our concerns and request when she dropped off vehicle with you, then checked the paperwork from the service which states that all fluids had been checked and topped off...obviously not. Unfortunately since we no longer live in Arizona, there’s not really a way to “make it right” on your end, unless you want to send me a check reimbursing me what I paid you, the amount I spent on the coolant in Oregon, and the cost of the mechanic to double check it was ok. In which case, I would then be completely satisfied and will gladly contact you with my forwarding address.

PLEASE READ!!!! This might sound a bit cliche right about now but if I could give a 0 star rating, I would! We moved down to Vail and began taking our car here for oil changes. Our car is only three years old and under a 100K so we dont expect any issues to arise with it. In December 2015 the check engine light started coming on and off. Took it to Rita Ranch Automotive right away and they advised me to wait until it was steady. A week later the light is steadily on so I take it back and they check the engine light and tell me its a knock sensor that needs replacing. All in all, it costs $160 to replace and I did so. Not a full week later the engine light comes back on. This time I couldnt believe it could be the knock sensor again so this time I take it to the Chevy dealer just in case it falls under a warranty issue with the engine. They do the same check engine light test that reads back that its the knock sensor again (let me repeat - ONE week later). I spoke to both Chevy and Rita Ranch about it and even Chevy said that rarely a part will just be faulty right out of the factory. So I go back to Rita Ranch Automotive and let them replace the knock sensor again under their warranty. The same night of the second repair the engine light comes on (AGAIN!!!), and by this time I am thinking no freaking way. After having been assured by both Chevy and Rita Ranch that there was absolutely no way it was the knock sensor for a third time I take it back to Chevy to have the engine light diagnosed again. But the advisor at Chevy pulls the same knock sensor code again and then advises me to take it back to Rita Ranch to have them check over their work BEFORE anyone starts tearing apart the engine looking for a hidden problem. This was a Friday, and I took it to Rita Ranch directly from Chevy to have them check their work. They check the engine light and knock sensor for the third time and it comes back the same code. From there, Rita Ranch tells me they want to take my car for a full day to play with it to try and figure out what could be wrong because there is no way its the knock sensor. We only have one vehicle so I tell them I cant leave the car and our family without transportation, and that at the earliest I could bring it back the following Friday and wait for it. But come Monday morning, we decide at that point that if ANYONE is going to be taking apart our engine piece by piece its best to let the dealership handle it, so I took it back to Chevy to do the diagnostic and rented a vehicle. Within an hour of dropping it off they call me with a diagnosis. The knock sensor connector is heavily damaged, causing all the knock sensors to short out, and the piece is damaged in such a way that there is absolutely no doubt: Rita Ranch Automotive did it. So not only did I have to pay for Chevys diagnostic, the replacement part and labor, but they also have to redo the entire knock sensor as well that should have been done almost two months before by Rita Ranch in the first place!!! I now have the broken part and the paperwork from Chevy dealer directly implicating Rita Ranch for the damage done to my car. I am nearly $400 in the hole with Chevy. Considering, I dont think it is at all unreasonable for me to request my $160 back from Rita Ranch Automotive to help cover the costs, right? WRONG! Called them bright and early Monday morning and told them everything, and politely requested the money back. They completely shrugged responsibility at that point and even claimed that Chevy told them that they touched the knock sensor too, implicating Chevy for the damages!!! I told them Chevy NEVER touched my knock sensor until the final repair. They said that they were going to call Chevy and then give me a call back. They havent called back. And after calling Chevy this morning (two days later) I know they havent called them either. I have had enough! I am going to file a claim with my credit card for the charges. And theyll be lucky if I dont take them to small claims court for the $400. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!
