Such a cute cafe to sit in for coffee, hookah, or tea. Its a pleasant area and the staff is nice. I also love the artwork inside! In the back there is a bar that seemed really cute. Its a very artsy and eclectic space. We sat there for hours outside the cafe just talking and no one bothered us. I definitely would recommend for someone who just wants to sit with friends and talk over drinks, coffee tea, or hookah.
Been here twice and loved the hookah both times. Not too strong, and flavors are nice. We get their signature blends. Got a peachy and minty blend last time that was amazing.Great vibes inside too. People are often playing board games and reading the paper here. Many students as well.Wasn’t a big fan of the gunpowder green tea, but lattes and lemonades I’ve tried are good.Servers are always very nice.
One of my favorite places! I love their pastries, their tea, and their bar. The people who work there are all very kind and helpful too so if you get overwhelmed they help you pick something!
Espresso Art is one of the best coffee shops in town if not the best! They serve a large dark roast for only $3 along with baked goods that are fresh everyday. The environment is inviting and full of culture. In the back there is a bar where youll find adequate seating and experienced bartends. Great for a crowd or individual looking to study, relax, read and/ or people watch. Espresso Art also offers a hookah. Definitely check this place out!
One of my favorite cafes. They treat you like family over there, its a great open community! Love it there!
Still a great spot on University. Big thank you to the barrista who made a white mocha this morning.
The best coffee shop for intelligent people and people that want to chill out on art.. They have activities in the evenings usually... A mix of a crowd but mostly college..
This place is amazing. Coffee, bar, and staff. Danny is an amazing host.
They were very accommodating, friendly and kind when I needed support. The staff, especially the front male bartender on Sat night (03/06/2021) was so helpful. I really appreciate that because it shows that the staff genuinely care about their customers. The drinks were delicious, the setting was relaxing & the music was amazing.I recommend this place over and over again! Thank you again for your wonderful service.
Chill little place, great spot to hang out or do some homework
I absolutely love this place. Im not a fan of Tucson, but this place is really great. Its nice to have a truly accepting, laid back atmosphere, cool unpretentious people, and great coffee and hookah.I come here to noodle on programming problems because I like a little commotion around me; it helps me think. Brought my sister out one night and we had a hookah with great flavor recommended by the staff. Im no expert on this, but enjoyed it.Open mic night is generally full of talented musicians. I enjoy listening to most of them. The crowd is positive and supporting.
The Mexican coffee was good but they charge 10% to pay cash...a little ridiculous I think!
This place is so relaxing! There is no crowdedness. You just order what you want and relax. The employees and especially the manager there are very kind here I definitely recommend this place.
I love the atmosphere, coffee, and hookah
Great hookah and staff coffee is good as well only place in the city to get hookah with a full bar I definitely recommend.
Great place. Just different, but different it good! It has a full bar on the back with a great variety of beer. Of course, cant miss the hookah and live music upfront.
I love this place at any time of day! They have strong coffee for a morning pick-me-up, plus its the safest place to get hookah in town (that Ive found so far), and a bar in the back with great drinks! It can get hard to find a table on busy nights though because its a cozy little place!
FIRST THING FIRST THE AESTHETIC OF THE PLACE! AMAZING! The flavor was also great of the hookah. coffee amazing and complements very well. My only issue is the sitting. now Im a big guy. I was very cramped when sitting down with a party of three other than that great place must see
I love this little place. I lived in Sierra Vista and would drive all the way to Tuscon just to visit. My husband and I loved the hookah and we especially enjoyed their house flavors (Ice Flower being my personal favorite). They dont offer fruit bowls or the ice hoses but honestly the shisha options they have more than make up for that. The staff was very attentive even when it was busy and would frequently check in and bring fresh coals. Its also very affordable. The bar had great drinks and the whole atmosphere was just overall pleasant. On weekends they have themed parties, karaoke, or a DJ so its very lively. During the day the outside patio is also a nice place to relax and smoke with a coffee. We just moved to North Carolina and we have yet to find another hookah spot that even holds a candle to this cafe. We miss this place a lot so if you have the opportunity to go I highly suggest it!
Good coffee, chill environment.
Great atmosphere, great service. You can either sit inside or enjoy the great views outside..
If you know, you know.
Best place in tucson!
My favorite place on earth. Full of memories and incredible people from all over the world.
Such an awesome place!
I cannot speak upon their hookah bar because Im not a hookah smoker but as far as coffee and espresso drinks go. This place is as good as it gets. Customer service is always amazing and the relaxed mood of the place makes it very comfortable to do a little bit of reading/studying before I head
Beautiful interior. Great location. Paid $5 for water (sold as Mexican Mocha). Ive had plenty of Mexican Mochas and not all are great but this definitely wasnt that. We also ordered a hot chocolate that was more milk than chocolate. I dont smoke but the hookah smoke smells great. Havent tried the bar in the back yet but it looks cozy and interesting.
A hookah, bar, and artsy hangout. Friendly staff, a great bar, and every changing art provide a cozy spot to relax. Nonsmokers may be worried by smoke, but if hookah doesnt bother you its a great spot. The coffee was standard, but choices offering greater satisfaction where abundant. The expectation for food was high based on the limited selection, but ultimately ended in disappointment. Overall, nice hookah and drinks, the cafe food needs improvement, but a great study spot.
I work here all the time when Im in Tucson. Good coffee but they also serve hookah which is not really available in other popular locations. During the cooler seasons their patio is great, but I usually sit indoors with the front glass open working on my laptop and people watching.
Im new in town & this place made me feel so welcome ! The staff are so friendly I feel like Ive known them all my lives except one
Definitely has a hipster/hippie kind of vibe. They sell all sorts of coffee, cocktails, and hookas. If I was a student at University of Arizona, I would definitely visit this cafe frequently.
Wonderful stop for some coffee or something a little stronger, and best bit is chess over coffee and/or hookah. Outside and inside seating but the place is a favorite of many, be prepared to share seats and a wait may be in the cards during their peak hours/days.
Awesome place to feel welcome as a local artist/performer, and also for someone looking to enjoy a fun environment and a beverage or cocktail. Live music and open mic alternating every Tuesday this summer. Check it out! Thanks
Cool place on University, kinda cramped indoors, but a nice atmosphere and menu for a calm night out. hookah was okay, a little burnt, and the staff isnt super informed how to pack a bowl and fill it properly, in general they didnt know much beyond the extreme basics they were told instruction wise, so that sucks. I ordered a tea and it was pretty good and went in for a $1 refill and the guy didnt know how to make the sweet tea I ordered off the menu, he tried to remake and it was a completely different color and tea, but it was better so either he or the person who originally served it to me did it wrong (he couldve been confused why it was a different color than what I asked for). But over all the experience was a positive one, would go again, despite the extra burnt taste the hookah had...
I love espresso art! great place to study or just hangout
Ive been to every hookah bar in Tucson and this one is the best, IMO. Its well-lite, cozy, and the service is great. Their flavor choices for hookah are not extensive like some hookah lounges but they make up for it with everything else. If you like to chat while smoking, play cards, have a beer, drink a liquor drink, sip a coffee, or just chill and watch people, this place is perfect. I highly recommend it.
Chill atmosphere. Nice and dark in the back with a speakeasy feel. More of a coffee shop feel up front.
What I ordered was great. Vibe was loud and aggressive and overtly hipster. And I am a hipster. So, either I dislike myself or the vibe one (the vibe)
We were on the hunt for something that wasn’t Starbucks. This had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. It took 30+ minutes to get two lattes even though we were the only people in line. They seemed completely clueless as to how to do their job. Then to top it off the coffee was bland. It might look hipster but the taste suggested otherwise.
Good coffee. We ordered food which didnt get put on our order so we didnt end up getting it. My wifes drink got made slightly wrong, the brew coffee I got was pretty good though. Our barista didnt get the order right however -1 star.
First time here, nice experience. Excellent coffee, friendly staff, music and pastries. Cant get any better than that.
Espresso Art has a such a welcoming environment and has something for everyone. During the week its a nice place to study and Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights its a great place to let loose a bit from strenuous week day life.
Friendly with excellent customer service, great hookah selection and lovely bar
Fun and relaxed environment everytime! If you havent try their smoothies theyre delicious
Well.. the place is nice, the service is now, the location of the place is nice, but the hookah which is the most important thing in this place is not that good. They need to work on the taste of the hookah and how to place the tobacco to make the hookah smooth
Nice
Cool place on University, kinda cramped indoors, but a nice atmosphere and menu for a calm night out.
Sublime hookah lounge. Nice laid back atmosphere, paired with local art and amazing coffee drinks. Doesnt hurt that theres a bar too.
The baristas and bartenders are amazingly and a little eccentric just like the bohemian atmosphere of this local uofa hangout
Good hookah and friendly staff the drinks are good too
I try to be here weekly. Great people and great atmosphere.
Really relaxing spot! The tea selection was on point.
Damn strong regular coffee.
Arrived and doors were not open per hours posted. Watched for 1/2 hour as people came up to the door ans left. Went to the Dutch across the street which took care of me immediately.
Good vibes bad taste. The good: one of the best vibes in tucson for hookah. Outdoor seating and heaters right on the university blvd. Jazz music Saturday nights if you like it.The bad: jez man. For a place that is a cafe they have bad tea and hot chocolates... i had to take it back and ask for another one cuz they literally just gave me milk.... so do not go there for drinks...Also FOR GODS SAKE you overcharge your drinks and then add a card fee... i dont care bout the 19 cents but its an insult to your customers... i would understand if the drinks were cheap but no its overpriced, bad quality, and a fee??? Never buying again.
Great coffee, great hookahs, and great people. Its a college cafe and offers a good environment to study, chat, or make friends.
Ive never had a bad experience here. Good coffee, good hookah, great employees.
Hookah was good. Live jazz was better
Funky place open late. Good coffee and have decaf. Hookah smell is overpowering though
That one barista that plays the saxophone is a snack. best latte i ever had she made. who is she???
The location is cool, the staff was super nice and I believe I the royal cappuccino actually tasted a bit of aristocracy.
My favorite kind of place eclectic artsy and warm welcome
Horrible service. Took 30 mins the get a hookah and when i asked if it was coming they said it was literally ready at that mlment and ended up waiting an additional 10 mins. Dont waste your time here.
Great interior, good drinks, nice staff.
I used to like this place. Its dark & cozy & smells like hookah. The back room would be the best place to work, but its always crowded with friends of whoever happens to be working at the bar.Today was the first time Id been in for a while, and it was horrible.1. One of the baristas was rude to my friend before I even got to the shop (which I found out later).2. The same barista had 4 fingers inside the cup she planned to serve me with. I asked for a new one that she hadnt touched on the inside, and she rolled her eyes and put the contaminated cup back on top of the pile, ready for the next customer.3. Then I was charged THREE DOLLARS for ONE SHOT of espresso. They call a small Americano this 1 shot, in a filled 12-oz cup. I asked them to only fill it 2/3 full, but they still filled it up. Not in the mood for diluted brown water (& since I had requested less), I asked them to re-make it. This annoyed the hell out of them both.- (for those who dont know it, an americano is typically around $1 per shot, and 2 shots for a 12-oz cup.)4. I was charged an extra 20 cents for using my card. I get it - BUT I wasnt informed there would be a charge, and it isnt posted anywhere.Im granting 1 extra star because I somehow ran into a relative of the owner - who Id never met before - just after I left. When I explained some of the above, she was very sweet and apologetic. Probably wont convince me to go back, but hopefully the owner will at least hear about the germy hands inside the cups.
Its the best place ever
Great atmosphere, great coffee. Perfect place for chilling between classes and getting some studying done.
Its a hookah bar first and foremost. I dont smoke, and am very sensitive to the tobacco, but as long as you get your food to go, everything is great there.
Had a wonderful Hookah time with a new friend.
Place is great. 10 out of 10 would expresso art again.
They have good Hookah
One the best place coffeehouse to hangout
Good coffee, great atmosphere.
Come for the hookah but bring your own coffee.
Worst hot chocolate...is not hot and is not chocolate...weird stinky place
Staple of my college experience
Smoking is allowed and somewhat encouraged, bad for non-smokers.
Great hookah nice place
They take for ever to bring them hookah and they are bad to customer and the hookahs are not even clean this place never going to work if they going to stay like that
Busy, interesting international college crowd & hookah
Stopped in for coffee and snack. Good selection great service.
Always a wonderful place
Great Coffee Great Atmosphere
Not keen on hooka smell
Terribly slow service, like I was the first one here in the morning and it took over 30 minutes to get an iced tea served to me
No place else like this gem
My favorite place in Tucson for hookah and hanging out
Espresso a place of pure bliss and excitement...
Kini is a great bartender!
Chill cool place
Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere.
Great local coffee shop
Dope hang out spot 💪
