Tavour, independent craft beer at your door! A bold but true statement. Tavour offers you highly selected indie craft brews, a wide variety of ales, lagers, porters, stouts, sours, wilds and much more! I did not realise how unique independent beer could be and taste compared to the more commercially produced beers. To each their own, but I definitely recommend, if you want to try something different and splendorous.

Where to begin….I signed up and ordered my first crate to be shipped earlier this month. Unfortunately, I’m still waiting for that shipment two weeks later and their customer service team keeps telling me lies about when the delivery will actually arrive. I will not order again from Tavour, which is sad because the concept is amazing but the execution is deplorable. Save your money and shop Total Wine craft selection.

The first package and second packages were great. An assortment of beers I paid anywhere between $15-30 for bottles, and cans for $10 each, of course not taking into account shipping which is included. I actually paid about $30 for one 12 oz bottle, some stout. To my horror, the third and final package I will ever order tasted like watered down beer that does not even compare to Heineken and Corona. I couldnt find one bottle online that was not priced at $4-5.50 online at most for one bottle. In most cases, they were priced at $3 when included in a 4 pack directly from the breweries. For the variety, I will never order from Tavour again just to drink cheap beers from the East Coast and Mid West. Plenty of great Alvarado Street beers and way better beer I have never heard of from beer shops locally for $5 and $8 on the high side. And I dont have to wait for them to arrive!

I do not know if I am reviewing the correct Tavour, but I am meaning to review the Tavour that delivers beer around the country and has an app. I was having trouble ordering from their website for Fathers Day so I emailed customer service and a very kind lady named Megan emailed me back pretty quick and said shed give me a call to help. So she called me and we got a solution to the situation right away! She was so kind and helpful. After reading the reviews about delivery, I decided to go to the main hub in my city and just pick up the package. We got a huge box of beer that my bf absolutely loved for Fathers Day. Great beer, wonderful customer service, I highly recommend Tavour!!

For a premium $$$ service their customer service and level of care is downright awful. Got a message that a beer I reserved weeks ago was no longer available due to an “inventory issue” and they would not charge me for it. That’s it. No explanation. No assurances that this is a rare occurrence. No attempt to suggest a replacement or offer to reserve the same beer if ever came back in stock. I replied and asked a few questions and was told unfortunately beer gets damaged and broken in their warehouse from time to time. Ok, fair enough...but your protocol is just to say you can’t fulfill my request that I placed WEEKS ago, without any acknowledgement that the reason someone would pay a premium amount for your service is because they would expect service that rises above “we don’t have what we promised you so we won’t charge you for it”. Honestly I could care less about my beer be broken. Why can’t they just say that and offer SOME kind of effort to make things right. At this point I asked for my current “crate” to be cancelled. I was informed since all the beers I reserved had been in my “crate” for more than three days if I decided to cancel I would still be charged 50% of the total for my order! Because....they’re were no “extenuating circumstances”. After I told them to ship my crate and then cancel my account someone higher up the chain responded and told me they would wave the shipping fee.Well what do you....3 days later...I get another generic email informing me that ANOTHER one of the beers I reserved is no longer available due to “inventory issues”. No acknowledgement that the same thing happened earlier in the week that. None. Like they didn’t even notice how much the first instance really left a bad taste in my mouth regarding continuing subscribing. Just the same vague email with no attempt to offer ANYTHING to make things right. Just a real human writing an email instead of this generic form they sent would have been nice.So the gist of this service is that once you put a beer in your personal crate it’s yours and you must pay for it, but if they break it, it wasn’t yours yet and all this talk of “inventory issues” is just a smokescreen for a really shady and unprofessional business.

Don’t buy beer here, it sits in our hot warehouse with flies and is tossed around from trucks and carts, thrown in a box and shaken around just to spite you. they treat their employees like trash (Mike in production) just get some fresh local IPA from where you live. their refrigerator is only for some of the beers to be rotated in, the management is all newish and the only thing that is prioritized is production and profit lol neat concept, but will be obsolete in a few years, save your hundreds of dollars and buy local fresh beer rather than risk getting 50/50 spoiled beers

Idk all seemed great until your crate ships and then take 2 weeks to get to you ...my crate shipped the 17th and has been delayed 3 times and its the 26th now still not expected to arrive until the 29th and thats the 3rd date ive been told it was coming ...doubtful itll come then either. My poor expensive craft beer has probably been sitting in some sweaty storage locker or truck for over a week being handled in ways God only knows about.

Havent even received my beers yet, was charged twice for some beers I ordered and took 2 weeks to get a refund. The shipping time is horrible because theyre using a cheap shipping company to save a couple bucks so my beer is going to be sitting in hot wearhouses for almost 3 weeks before arriving. Can almost guarantee theyre going to arrive hot. Considering how much beer most people buy from here waiting 3 months the least they could do is not ruin your expensive beer. I know the beers are great from Tavour but if they forment again in the heat they Will explode or be gross.

**second update** my last order (referenced below - sitting in a hot warehouse) found a majority of the beers were spoiled due to, I assume, the heat. Some beers Ive had before and these tasted nothing like how they should have. If youre on the west coast, I recommend this company. If youre on the east coast, find a local bottle shop as quality is very hit or miss.**UPDATE** the original review is still accurate, however, after using this service a few times Ive had to down grade my review for 2 reasons. 1) customer service can be a bit slow to respond. The reps are very kind and they even waived a shipping fee once, which was unexpected. But it can take several days to get a response. 2) tracking your shipment and the shipping service itself is very poor. The updates are usually inaccurate and when you question it, youre just told shipping beer is different and theres not much that can be done. I currently have a package that was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago. Website says its been at the local courier for 3 days. Local courier has no record of the shipment. In a world of Amazon prime and 2 day shipping, this system seems a bit dated and difficult to manage. Aside from that, the rest of my review remains. Unfortunately, the poor courier service is a big turn off. Thinking that my beer is sitting in a 90 degree warehouse in Florida for several days isnt appealing. There are a number of local bottle shops that have tremendous selection that Ill likely use going forward. Ill consider going back to tavour if courier service is better. That said, I would encourage anyone to give this service a try. It really is unique and fun - but shipping is important to me...Excellent beer service. No membership fee, pay for what you want, and flat shipping rate. Easily the best subscription service out there. I hope they dont change their structure. I live in the exact opposite corner of the country and my beer makes it here within a week, which I think is good. Really good beer selection.

Ive seen a few beers I can get locally... but for the most part, many that I couldnt get without traveling out of state... such as Toppling Goliath or Anchorage. Probably will never order from here again. Pulled the money out of my account without an order number, and I ordered the beer on November 15 and its still not here (today is Dec. 7). Emails were vague and not very helpful with customer service, and although they had an issue with COVID-19, its not really a great excuse anymore. Weve been operating in a global pandemic for almost a year, you should have that figured out by now.

Tavour is fine...more than fine...they find amazing beers which cannot be found other than by travelling around the world. The HUGE problem is that they use (they have to use according to then because of some stupid laws about not being able to ship to this state or that...thanks bureaucrats in DC) Eastern Connection to deliver the beer. Eastern Connection is the worst delivery system on earth. TWICE I have not received my complete shipments (once the whole shipment, presently 2 out of 5 boxes from my shipment) due to their inefficiency. I have to question my continuing relationship with Tavour ONLY because of this pathetic delivery company.

Ive been with Tavour for a couple years now, and they are great. They do provide hard to get beers (i.e. see all the the recent Rare Barrels and the Lost Abbey vertical recently) but what is most fun is the ability to get beers that are not distributed in my area. For example, Toppling Goliath and Zipline which make excellent beers. I really enjoy their service living in a more remote part of the country.

Tavour is a great service. Basically its a beer club. They get beers from everywhere. You get updates of which beers they have in stock and their prices. From there you can add to your crate. If you live in Seattle, you can pick it up from the warehouse (this location) without paying the $15 shipping. Also, if you are a member, they have open house beer tastings where they pour various bottles from their stock at no additonal cost. I love it, and it has become pretty much the only way I buy beer.

I ordered a gift box of beer for a business colleague and it has not been delivered yet after 1 month. I have communicated multiple times via email (the only way I know of to get a response) and been told that the beer was on its way or at the warehouse to be delivered. Tavour has had my $100 for a month, they have not delivered the beer, and they have consistently told me that it will be delivered. They have not proactively told me what is going on, they only respond when I ask them when the gift will be delivered. Bad Job, and I cant imagine the beer will be any good if it has been sitting in a warehouse for a month. BAD EXPERIENCE

I have read multiple reviews and they are back and forth on how awesome they are. I wish I could say the same. I wanted to surprise my husband with great beer we cant get anywhere near our small desert city. I loaded up a crate, purchased the beer and it was on its way. It seemed too good to be true but I was looking forward to the look on his face when he opened the box. However, when I received my package, it was the wrong order. Not just one or two beers, the whole thing. I ordered stouts and porters for my husband and I received IPAs & double IPAs. I emailed them right away with all the information I had, I was thorough, the beers I ordered and what I received, the name of the person it actually belonged to and their order number. They sent an email back the next day saying they were working on it. Its going on three weeks and I have yet to receive my correct order. Hopefully it gets resolved soon but Im not holding my breath. Maybe yall will have better luck with your orders.

Beers were hit/miss. 50/50 for sure. . . for every awesome beer I received, I also received a VERY average one. That brings the value of the service way down, its not worth it. Their super verbose beer descriptions are somewhat deceptive.I recommend Tavour if you live in a low population area where you cannot access great craft beer. If you live in So CA or PDX or Seattle, why would you use this ervice? You can get better fresher beer at your local bottle shop or brewery.Beer was delivered in a very safe, thick cardboard box and the bottles/cans were separated well. Nothing was broken or dented.

Received first shipment yesterday, very happy. They have a nice selection of brews that change twice per day, albeit tad pricey. Their customer service is outstanding, really what sets this company apart from competitors. They use GSO for shipping and GSO is a joke, there are hundreds of 1 star reviews on GSO between Google and Yelp. How a business can still be in business with that many problems is beyond me. I still received my package, but required a level of effort like herding cats.Regardless, what made this experience night and day better than hopsy who also uses gso, is customer service. Hopsy is unresponsive, like days go by unresponsive, and when they do its usually apathetic. They dont really care gsos system in horrible and might not deliver the package. Whereas tavour is helping out and in the trenches with me with quick responses. One last note about gso, i think their system is severally outdated and/or employees are not trained how to use it. It seems their system doesnt enable real time communication with hubs, drivers, operation centers, etc. Their customer facing website regarding tracking info is prehistoric. It can literally say scheduled for delivery on a certain day but wont actually be scheduled for that day because they have no other status in their system, its either received, scheduled for delivery on x day, or delivered. I had a rep tell me shes been there a while and there is a buried screen on their end that will show its not really scheduled. While other employees dont know about that screen tell you that it is scheduled.Back to tavour, I will be purchasing from them again, theyre great.

All of the beers I’ve had have been good or very good - you pick what you want and pay a little more than you would locally but it’s a nice way to try beers you’d otherwise never have the chance to try. HOWEVER, the Quick Courier delivery service is abhorrent. They let me pick a 5 hour delivery window, which isn’t exactly a small or convenient window, and all three of my shipments have been several hours (up to 5 hours) outside of my delivery window. I selected morning (08:00-13:00) deliveries twice, and both times were delivered after 16:00. I selected an afternoon delivery (13:00-17:00) once and it was delivered at 09:30. Their drivers do call me and let me know that they’ll be running late or running early, however, both times they were late, they waited until after their delivery window to call me and let me know they’d be several hours later than expected. There is absolutely no consistency here and it is extremely inconvenient and frustrating to wait and wait and wait when I have other things that I need to do aside from waiting 7 hours for a beer delivery. I don’t understand why they can’t use a more reliable delivery service, such as UPS or FedEx, but I’m sure it’s cost related.
