Excellent team to work with. David assisted with my order and Jason helped with picking it up. I left at 7:00 and the staff was still in the parking lot as a little girl was test riding a bike, even though they were technically closed. How is that for customer service and how is that for fostering relationships with younger riders? Very cool to see people truly giving of their time to others.
Adam and the mechanic who worked on my sons bikes were great. BUT Steve Palmer the Regional Manager is very condescending to women. I had a bike transferred from OK City to the South Tulsa location. I had been in communication with both stores. I called to confirmed that the Tulsa south location had received the other bike before we drove over an hour to pick up. Steven Palmer was so rude. He had no clue what was happening with the whole transfer and I knew exactly what was happening. All he cared about was getting payment for the bikes. I spent $1800 on two bikes and you would think he would have spoken to me respectfully and had good customer service. He treated me like was not trustworthy. As I was explaining to him the whole situation and the different conversations, he demanded that I tell when I called and who exactly I spoke to. The Siloam Springs, Edmond location all were very professional and knew exactly what was going on. Steve was a complete jerk. I am so thankful that he doesnt work at the Siloam Springs location. If it wasnt for the bikes being so hard to find during this pandemic...we would have cancelled it all and took our business somewhere else! I hope he does not treat his employees and family the way he treats customers. STEVE PALMER IS A TERRIABLE MANAGER.
Very knowledgeable staff. Got me just what i needed for parts, Electra E-Bike, Townie
You could not ask for better customer service and availability of the best bikes for fair prices. We rent bikes whenever our Grandchildren travel from out of state and appreciate the superior service. We would not go anywhere else. We are actually getting ready to buy a new Trek and will be visiting Phat Tire again very soon. Thank you to all the staff!
I purchased a bike there last week. Ramon and the staff were bomb and super good people(other than Steve, I’ll get to that part). They had to build my bike so I came back a week later. I soon arrived and one of the employees said, “ I see you found your bike, go take it for a spin (In front of the store manager) so I did.” the store manager then asked me if it was mine and I told him yes. He then began to keep questioning me even though one of his workers confirmed in front of him. I then test drove my bike meanwhile he goes to the back and questions all his employees if that was my bike and was accusing me of stealing it. (From my party that was with me said) after that’s all done I go to do final paper work with the financing and showed Steve the account number with a picture ID and he legit accused me of credit card fraud and would not help me. Anyways it got heated and we asked Steve to just call the people about the account. Finally he did and they confirmed it was me. Steve then said, “ I apologize, you are a first time buyer here and I didn’t want anyone screwing us over.” I gave him no reason for him to suspect I was stealing anything. I’m a well dressed and clean cut guy. Terrible first time buying experience. STEVE IS A TERRIBLE BUSINESS MANAGER. I will call to a hire position and let them know my complaint. The workers are awesome though. But Steve is a Karen my peeps. Stay away from those kind of people. Thanks,
I have always liked your facility; its proximity to the Tulsa River Parks trail system is a big bonus. Your staff is always pleasant and helpful. You also carry high quality products.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We rented two bikes and helmets, and everything was in great shape and functioned properly. The location is great; you can completely avoid automobile traffic if you want. I would rent from them again!
Phat Tire Bike Shop was incredibly helpful and accommodating! I they saw I was in a rush and they helped me get out the door quickly!
Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a pretty good selection, too, considering current inventory levels.
Great customer service! Love that they were able to fix my bike 🚲 on the spot! They gave me a couple of recommendations for extra work but didnt push anything. Will definitely be back! 😁
Avoid this place at all costs. I got a flat tire on the river trail and didn’t have any tools. I stopped in to see if they could fix it. They said it would be $9.00 for the tube and $13.00 for the labor. I said ok and they started working. Then they came out 2 minutes later and told me that they were wrong and the actual labor cost was going to be $32.00. What the heck!! They more than doubled their labor estimate for a flat tire. What a joke. In the end they charged me $41 for fixing my flat tire with a new tube. I timed them and it took 20 min. That means they charge $96/ hour for the labor. Wow! This place is terrible.Edit:I received a call from the manager who was concerned after reading my review. After going over the facts with me and listening to why I felt the way I did, he did what he could to make it right with me. I never expected a call from anyone when I left this review, and I was impressed that they took the time to consider my complaint. As such I have adjusted my review and am much more likely to do business with them in the future.
2 things I noticed when I visited Phat Tire on Riverside. I was not addressed by a single employee the entire time I was in the store and the prices were extremely high. I chose the store because of the closeness to home to support local businesses. The same exact bike in store was marked up $300 more than Scheels in The Colony, TX. I am able to drive to Texas, buy the bike, rent a hotel room, and come back to Tulsa cheaper than the overpriced bike at the store. I walked up to the counter and stood around for assistance until I went to browse the store. I spent approximately 7 minutes in the store un addressed before I ultimately walked out due to poor customer service. I do not recommend anybody shop there.
Ive been shopping for a bike for the last year and supply issues has kept me from buying. I came in and they had a bike in my size unbuilt, they got it built and ready for me to test quickly. Great hustle and service.
Phat Tire if my favorite bike shop, hands down. I love the way that they care about me
Phat Tire has always gone above and beyond to help me with any of my biking questions and needs! If it wasnt for them helping me out and showing such passion towards the sport, I probably wouldnt have started riding 6 months ago! Thank you for everything. Special shoutout to Steve, Alex, and Travis, you guys are awesome!
Very educated and informative staff. They suited me to my needs. Will return
The Phat Tire gang took good care of me when I purchased my first bike. Recently I traded that one in on another bike, and they were most helpful and knowledgeable. Very friendly atmosphere, and a super cool vibe.
So I always brag that my local Phat Tire (Bentonville, AR) has the best service ever... Turns out the employees at Tulsa South Phat Tire made me feel right at home too!! Very friendly and helpful employees with a ton of knowledge about the local trails. I will drop by again when Im in the area. Thanks!!Joe P.
Very friendly and knowledgeable about bikes and repairs. Very pleased with my bike repair.
My experience at Phat Tire was so far above and beyond I felt compelled to write this review. I have a 2011 Santa Cruz Tallboy that I had recently spent a lot of money on for numerous upgrades. I had taken it to a different bike shop for the installation of a 1 X drive train and as it neared completion that shop discovered a key component was not serviceable. They recommended I try to order the part form Phat Tire. I called Alex at Phat Tire and he started working on finding the part. In a parallel effort I enlisted another bike shop that sells Santa Cruz bicycles to try to and find the part. After a week of trying, that bike shop phoned me up and confirmed the part was out of production and couldnt be found. I went and picked up my Tallboy with the expectation of having just another piece of wall art. A couple of weeks later out of the blue I receive a call from Alex and he has found the part! He had gone to various sources and spoke to 6 different people from Santa Cruz. From the invoice it appears the part was found sitting on some dusty remote bike shop shelf in Canada. I took the bike to Alex and he completed the 1 X upgrade as well as advised me on several other issues and improvements. At completion I picked up a bike that is practically new for about 10% of what a new one would have cost. Its in pristine condition and just begging for a fast trail. Thank you Alex for your tremendous service and professionalism. This is a testament to the culture of Phat Tire Bike Shop. Hal .
Great selection, knowledgeable staff, cool offers. Who knew you could rent a bike? Great store, great employees. Well be back to purchase some bikes for ourselves. We were waiting for a table at Outback and decided to look around the store. We needed a tube for our sons bike tire and thought we could spend some time browsing. Ive never been to a bike store and didnt know what to expect. The staff was not pushy, all of our questions were answered and they helped find the product we needed even though we didnt quite know what that was.Great experience and our son is off and riding his bike again. Thank you so much.
Great service! Bike experts! Quick service. Go to Phat Tire in BROKEN ARROW!
First things first.....I’m not a bike rider but after walking into your store I became one! I was looking for a bike for my son and the customer service was excellent from all staff. Everyone was very polite but one gentleman stood out and went above and beyond. Thanks AlexAlex did a fantastic job on educating us on bikes and making sure we found the right one, but he also really pushed the safety aspect of safe riding. Just being completely honest he is the reason we bought a bike from your store and why we will continue to do business at Phat Tire. Thanks, Jeff Ellis
Personal service. The team has always helped me with supplies and gear. I’ve gad my Scott Addict R3 for years. I didn’t buy it there; but when I needed some gloves on an unexpected cold day they said take them and pay us later. They truly are nice m, caring and as with mist bike shops skilled. I’ve never had bad service.
I have been coming to this shop a couple of years freindly and knowledgeable I recommend them
Not a soul in the store and they acted like they didnt really have time for my flat tire. Wanted $20 to put some air and sealant in it. Sorry guys, I wont bother you again.
I absolutely love going into this store. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I always end up staying much longer than I originally anticipated.
The entire team at Phat Tire is always helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. You can be having issues while on a ride and swing by and they are quick to provide the fix so you can keep going.
Great selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Convenient location.
Outstanding service both before, during and after the sale. We will certainly be back and let others know this is a great place to shop for the perfect bike for you.
Phat Tire has always been fun to work with and they provide great and friendly service advice. I have bought four bikes there through the years and other quality biking gear. They are on the cutting edge whether you are a novice just needing a commuter bike, wanting something to get in shape or a competitive cyclist. I’ve walked in several times with little issues and they Are always quick to help me with anything I needed. They are the best!
Extremely impressed with services offered. Their efficiency and professionalism is commendable.
Shopping at Phat Tire is super easy and quick--if they dont have what you need theyll get it asap!
Incredible service! We bought a bike for our 4.5 year old daughter on Memorial Day. It was going to be shipped from the store in Arkansas. She was sad we were not able to walk out with the bike that day, but understood it would not take too long. Later in the afternoon on Memorial Day, there was a cancellation of the exact bike she had picked out online. The staff decided to assemble the bike right then and call us to surprise our daughter with being able to pick it up the same day. She was so ecstatic. We appreciate the time that was spent to make the day extra special for her!
Very helpful staff, easy and convenient store access right off the trail head (South Tulsa Store). Will shop again!
The products are excellent and the people are knowledgeable, friendly and always helpful.
We rented 2 bikes for two hours. The bikes were great to ride and the price very reasonable. The best part was the staff. Very warm, friendly and helpful. The location is right on the trail which was so convenient. Highly recommend!
Nothing terrible to say about the place but nothing special either. Went in to look around and was given almost no guidance on what’s best for me other than how much I was willing to spend. Literally that was the only question asked. I get being profit driven, just like any other company but how can you expect to sell products without solid customer service. I didn’t leave super disappointed or anything but I also didn’t buy anything because there was really no guidance or breakdown of the different options available. I’ll try a different bike shop this week.
You guys were the only one that had a green Salsa Journeyman 650B in stock.Cody greeted me at the door and was extremely helpful. He pointed out a few other products that I needed and would have forgotten about.Cody was able to install the additional equipment that I had purchased for the new bike.Overall, it was a pleasant experience and will be see yall again. Thanks!
Had an issue with my wifes wheel. They had it fixed in mo time and we were back on the road.
Had a flat while riding and I stopped in to get a couple of spare tubes. They saved my day and ride. Very friendly.Thanks.
Fast, excellent service at a fair price!
I needed a tube and tire replaced and some general tune ups on my daughters bike. I was immediately greeted and my questions answered and then they repaired the bike same day. Alex went out of his way to give excellent above my customer service expectations. I want to stress that point is that level of service is a lost art. They also have lots of accessories and new and used bikes as well as bike rentals.I get the sense that whether you are an occasional rider or a serious one that they have you covered
Everyone there was so helpful. Daniel first greeted me and really helped me understand what I was looking at and what would work for me. I came back later after further research and Amanda and Theron were quick to help and make sure I was well informed before making my purchase. From bikes to upgrades to equipment, the whole team worked very hard to make sure I was well educated and satisfied. Thank you Phat Tire team!
I literally ordered on the phone and they made it all happen in less than a day! Very impressive and I absolutely LOVE my new Trek! Godspeed to Phat Tire and its awesome staff. Thank you many times over again! gp
Never buy a bike from these guys. They dont know how to tune or set up chains and gears. With in a few months and very little riding I need a new chain and cassette and Im paying for it and not being covered under warranty because it was bad customer service and not faulty partsI took my bike back to them 3 times for having a very noisy chain.First they told me it was normalSecond time they told me it needed minor adjustments and the tech literally tighten something in a secondThird time ( best of all) he told me it happens with bikes in that budget. Its a trek bike. Finally took it to a trek store and they were shocked at how my it was set up. Paying for all that myself thanks to them. Save yourselves some money they just wanna sell bikes. Couldnt careless about how horribly they set it up
I walk in and asked to see the bottom price point of mountain bike they have. I have been road biking for a while. I know a little about bikes but not all the “mountain” bike technicalities. He asks if I had done any research. Not really. I said I was looking for $500-$800 price point. He says they don’t exist. Not true. I had just and from Bicycles of Tulsa and they had them just not my size. He also seemed to speak to me as though I was bothering him and a bit condescending. Bottom line is that I will find a bike and I’ll probably be just ordering it from Bicycles of Tulsa. I was hoping to buy one today. I will NOT ever go back to Phat Tire after feeling like that. Bicycles of Tulsa was far more customer oriented.
Alex has worked with me multiple times and has done great work. He listened to what I wanted or needed for my bikes, made awesome recommendations that fit my budget, and was in constant communication with me during the repair process. I will definitely be recommending this shop to my friends!
I purchased a used bike and brought it in to have it serviced. I was treated with the utmost respect and had the best customer experience possible. Ive already referred friends to Phat Tire Tulsa! I will definitely be going back for all of my bike needs. These guys are great!
I just love going to this shop. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a 50% clearance rack for women as of 9/13/20, very little items left. Got some weather tights! Getting before there gone.😊
My wife and I came to their shop to look for a bike after deciding to take up biking to help improve our health during the Covid quarantine. Steve and the rest of the staff went above and beyond in helping us make our decision on the appropriate bike for our intentions. We havent ridden in 30+ years and Steve showed us a pair of bikes that met our needs and got us outfitted with the essential equipment to make our ride safer and more enjoyable. The entire staff was very friendly, personable and have found a pair of customers for life. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone interested in getting back into biking, or just getting started, you wont be disappointed.
Excellent service, friendly staff and great follow through.
You were able to get the Trek FX2 in XL. Just right for me. Staff was very nice and professional. I paid over the phone (female around 30?). That was made easy. Retrieved the bike 3 days later (following assembly). The bike was in full working order. 100%. Service agent (male around 60) was helpful in add ons and putting them on the bike himself. I have been very disappointed in a bike shop near me on 21st street that is run by teenagers and no one seems to be in charge. Now that I know I have a reliable customer focused alternative, I will be going to Phat tire for my adjustments and future bikes.John Marlow
Customer friendliness is very important and your team does it great. I felt the evaluations were fair and reasonable.
Store was very clean and organized made you feel welcomed when you come in. Especially the excellent and friendly customer service. Ramon was very nice and knowledgeable about their bike and offered great advice on future bike purchases.
Absolutely great!! Friendly and they will help you in any way they can! The mechanic was just great! Highly recommended
We rented a couple hybrid bikes from Phat Tire to take in the sights along the Arkansas river. The staff here were very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The rental rates were exactly what I thought would be reasonable. The location is a little farther south than some other bike rental places, but well worth it, and it makes for a nicer ride back towards Tulsa. We didnt do any browsing at the store, but it appeared to be well stocked with all things bike related.
Very happy with this bike shop, I had a lot of questions, and all of them were answered. Very Knowledgeable staff. High quality products,. Will be renting bikes from here, Highly recommend.
Everyone was SUPER helpful! My wife and I both got bikes. We felt very comfortable with the process and we did not feel pressured to buy any certain bike. We were able to try several different bikes and they even checked the inventory at another location to ensure we got what we wanted. THANK YOU!
Ramone is a very nice and informative employee here. I am buying an FX3 and he also helped me pick out some other items I will need for this new hobby. Thank you, Ramone for being so helpful!!! You’re the type of employee every business needs.
The guy was honest and tried his best to help us with our budget. Definitely the place to go if you need a new bike, rental, tune up and more...Im a happy customer!
Very friendly service.
I stopped by to get a new saddle and mentioned that my gears werent shifting right. They installed the saddle, adjusted my shifters in the process and diagnosed to real problem, which is that I need new cables. They documented the problems, scheduled a day for me to bring it in, and will have everything they need to fix it when I bring it back for repair. Then I had a nice ride on Riverside! Great experience!
Went on a long ride tonight and near 91st my riding partners tire went flat during the last 10 miles. Alex saved our ride! What a great employee!
The customer service is terrible the manager was extremely rude, I had called and ask them to put a bike case for my phone on hold and when I came in the manager was not willing to serve on us, because his virtual online customers are more important than physical customers like myself. The doors were locked and there were customers waiting outside because the sign said they only serve one person at a time and someone let us in. And no one was in the store and the guy asked us what we were doing in here and asked if someone let us in, and was also threatening to not let us buy the product because he thought I was arguing when I was explaining what his sign said. And I will never come back in here that was my first experience terrible .
I started riding a few year ago an I bought my first bike from you guys. Over the years I have come in to buy things for my bike time to time and Im never disappointed with the level of customer service and quality work that you do. Thanks keep up the good work!
These people are great! I have purchased a total of five bicycles here for my rather large family to ride together. Their customer service is excellent and they know their product. The entire staff took extra time to make sure everything was assembled and even stayed late to take care of what we needed before our family trip.Since Phat Tire is at the halfway point for most of our rides, I stop here several times a week sometimes to keep our bikes in proper shape as a family. Steve and his crew take very good care of us and I am thankful to have them to maintain our favorite family activity.
My little guy is 3 1/2. I needed a helmet and bike adjustments for his previously loved bike. I also had the tire tubes replaced. The staff worked together as a great team. However, if you are buying or servicing a child’s bike my suggestion is to work with Tracy B. She was exceptionally dialed in on my little ones needs and gave excellent advice to me on his riding progression. Thank you for an outstanding visit experience. (Prices are also very reasonable)
Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
I loved the top-notch customer service I got when I brought my old bike into the shop looking for an eval on whether it was a keeper and just needed some love, or if I needed to invest in a new one. I appreciated the advice and the service performed on my bike was fantastic. It has restored to its former glory and I am out riding it again and loving it. Thanks for everything!
Theyre very friendly and work well with children. I took my 5 and 6 yrs old to try out bikes and they enjoyed themselves. Weve bought 4 bikes here now and if youre going to stay local definitely shop here - any more you pay will be worth the follow up service during ownership.
Very friendly and helpful staff!! The only LBS that makes you feel welcome. Feels like they would go out of their way to help you. I highly recommend Phat Tire bike shop on Riverside in Tulsa for your sales and service needs
I enjoyed the relaxed feeling about the staff as we discussed my needs and wants. It felt like working with people that wanted to help me find a bike that is right for me and not just sell me one.
The best bikes around! And the nicest folks! I highly recommend Phat Tire Bike Shop!
Very friendly, expert staff who did great work. Excellent service and Great experience - I will go there from now on! And they work on ALL brands of bikes. I’m very impressed.
The last bike I owned was a single-speed huffy. The last bike i rode was my kids bike, being silly in the driveway. I walked in with zero knowledge but quickly found a smiling face to school a rookie on the basics of bikes! Zero pressure to buy (or over-buy). Just an education on what might be best for me and my situation. Long story short... I tried out a few bikes, found the one I liked, picked up some safety gear in the process... and had an AMAZING maiden ride this weekend with my kids. First 10 miles, in the books!!
Excellent service. I was greeted the second I walked in. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and wasnt belittling or pushy like Ive experienced at other bike shops. Great location. Ill definitely be back.
Alex is the man. Had a flat and he hooked us up in the nic of time. Best service.
Great service! I recently moved away, but needed a box for a friend to ship a bike to me. Dave was so kind to not only save a box for me, but he also took the time to call me to let me know when he had one. He was so helpful even though he wasnt actually getting business from me. If I still lived in the area Id definitely feel good about shopping here. Thank you!!
I have used this store for parts and the parts have worked perfectly. Very courteous and knowledgeable.
I found what I wanted on your website and easily ordered it. The pick up was quick and easy.
Great staff! Very helpful and informative.
Had a great experience with staff at this shop. The employees were helpful and answered all of my questions. They were friendly and efficient, I would definitely recommend doing business with them. I will definitely be back to purchase accessories and anything else needed for my bike. 🤙
Very quick, efficient service especially during a hard time for all business owners.
Ive been to this store as well as the downtown store several times. The staff is always courteous and professional. They ask you as a customer a lot of questions and make recommendations without having an aggressive sales pitch. I recently went in to have a bike fit with Steve. He was great . Very thorough and explained a lot about positioning and different accessories I was buying.
Manager there named Steven sucks. Will choose not to work on your bike if he just doesnt like you for some reason, just because he can. Every other person Ive spoken with has been awesome at the other location, Steven was unreasonable, and refused to work on my bike.
The sales service from Steve was great! Friendly and knowledgeable he got just the right used bike for metro start riding. When I’m ready to upgrade, I’ll be back for a new one. Alex got the bike tuned and ready for me quickly and I’m loving it. I’m taking advantage of the great trails we have in Claremore.Justin MichaelOwnerThe Haberdashery / Smoke & Tonic BarClaremore, OK
We were visiting from out of town with 2 kids. What we got was Great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. High quality bikes and Tag-along trailers for rent. The whole experience was great for me and my family.
I bought a used bike from this store, completely prepared for mechanical issues I might find, however. I called the store because the front forks wouldnt compress at all the very next day after I bought it. I am completely new to cycling, so I was hoping to call the store and find a simple fix to my issue. They had me bring it in so they could take a look at it. and they did exactly that. One of the employees took one look at it from about 6 feet away and states Its broke Its pre owned, what do you want me to do?. Really all I wanted was verification that it was indeed broke, and told that there were no simple solution to my problem if such were the case. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but as the conversation continued he went on to tell me just how overworked and understaffed he was as an essential employee. From the beginning of the conversation he was very short, very unwelcoming, and downright rude. I dont know what I did to hurt this employees feelings, but I hope his future interactions with customers arent anything like the one he had with me.*Edit I just fixed the fork using a 3 minute Youtube video. Just had to get up under the lockout lever and make an adjustment.Since writing this review I have edited from one star to 3 stars, my 3rd experience at this store was so much better. I arrived minutes before closing to find a very helpful and kind employee who was able to change my tube and get me back on the road in a matter of minutes. I also discovered that this store sells beer for 1$ hahaha. I bought 3. If they had anything other than natty light I might have considered adding another star.
Friendly and helpful service as I sought to buy some new cycling shoes
I feel like a putz for not getting anyone’s name while we were there, but all the guys were helpful and kind. Exactly the kind of customer service that makes someone comfortable and felt taken care of. This is the only place to go for bicycle parts/repair in Tulsa, as far as I’m concerned. Thank you all!
I’m thankful these folks are located on the trail and do quality quick service! They’re as rad as they are nice and as helpful as they are knowledgeable.
Great staff, and great customer service!
The whole crew is top notch. Every time I have been in here the staff have taken the time to address all my concerns. The work they do is stellar and any time I have had a problem they take care of it. Thanks guys
I really appreciate the salesman David for helping me pick out a great bike for me not hard core ride but after weight loss surgery want stay more active and biking is fun
Phat Tire seems to have parts, and even bikes, that I cant find online or in stores here in the DFW area.
This shop is always ready to help. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. Always recommend them to people looking for bikes. Send them to Steve.
