I am new to Apertures. Brought an 11 x 14 portrait to be touched up.$15 charge....total charge after touch up was $94.00. Got it home and the print appears warped. I was never told by Jeff when i picked the print up that it would need foam backing to avoid the print presenting as warped. Jeff also put a sticky note in the sack when i picked up the print and the adhesive from the sticky note caused a blemish on the print. Jeff informed me today that the owner would offer a new print but i would need to pay $20 additional. I was referred here by Melissa from framing dept at Hobby Lobby on E 71st in Broken Arrow OK. Not pleased with the additional charge nor manner which Jeff handled the situation with me.

I wouldnt recommend them, really. Did business with them a few times. Way overpriced and the work I got back wasnt that good. One time, the guy quoted me the wrong price over the phone. When I went to pick my prints up, the price he rang up was a lot higher than Id been quoted. I told him the price Id been quoted over the phone. He asked me who Id spoken to. I said, I dont know. He didnt say and I didnt ask for his name. The guy called me a liar in front of a whole store full of people. Ive never felt so embarrassed in my life. Extremely unprofessional. If it werent for the fact he had my negatives in his had, Id have had some choice words for him. Ill never set foot in their shop again. Ever. Ill drive all the way across town to do business with someone else before I go there again.

Hobby Lobby in BA recommended that I use them for a picture I wanted printed that was taken from a Galaxy S9 cell phone. They were extremely helpful in showing my the many options I had. I really didnt know what to go with so they where happy to give me a recommendation after I told them what I was doing with it. They had a quick turnaround, even during the holidays. The picture turned out great! I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Ever since Walgreens failed me and stopped doing 1 hour film processing (rip) I started going to Apertures for my film developing needs. Although they do not do 1 hour development anymore, they do get the job done fairly quick (usually a couple days, no more than a week in my experience) PLUS they actually know what they are doing. In a good location not far from downtown and plus youre helping a local business rather than the corporate monster Walgreens! always friendly staff as well :)

I was given a vintage analog camera (Canon FTb) and took it to Aperture to have it looked over. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The woman took the camera and checked it over and made sure everything worked. She then checked all of the lenses and cleaned them all out, all while giving me tips on how best to use the device. I also managed to get a really good deal on a photography book. Its a small local business Im happy to support.

Bought a film camera and was told it functioned properly. Brought it home and tried using batteries for the shutter grip that came with it. It wasnt working so I go in and try and get my money back when I was told that they couldnt refund it because it worked fine. To prove it, they put batteries in it and when it didnt work they simply removed the grip and did manual film rewind saying it was working fine when the part that was corroded away was the part that they took off and didnt test. They guarantee their products are kept in working condition, obviously in my case they lied and I couldnt get my $330 back.

I called from another state to find a hard to find camera. I had called days before and they said they had them. I ordered sight unseen, trusting them. The camera was a gift for my husband and for his collection. The camera arrived and had very visible damage to the case on the top and front. The lady who sold it to me did not tell me this. We called and arranged to return the camera. Not only are they charging us for the freight charges both ways but also a 20% restocking fee. I am very disappointed with this company.

Some of the other reviews mention poor service and condescending staff, especially for people that dont know photography. Well, Ive never received anything less than stellar help/service when Ive gone to Apertures; from requesting prints, asking about accessories (they even offered to order parts they dont carry at very competitive prices), and purchasing little bits of this and that. PLUS, their photography classes are top notch! They slow down for any and all questions, explain the technical aspects of photography in easy to understand ways, and are MORE than willing to assist HANDS ON with any camera you bring with you to class!I would HIGHLY recommend this business to any and all in the Tulsa area!

I bought an SLR camera from this store upon their advice. I used it for a trip and when I got back I enrolled in an on line Photography class. The first lesson and first paragraph of the class said that a good camera must have a viewfinder and an LCD screen and mine did not have the viewfinder. The problem with that is you cannot take pictures when it is bright because the LCD screen acts like a mirror and you cannot see what you are trying to photograph. I went back to the store as my class teacher advised to ask for an exchange as a good camera store should do. Thy asked me what would satisfy me and I said a similar camera with a viewfinder. They took my phone number and said they will help me. After four months and repeated visits to the store. I called them today and Greg who answered the phone when I called told me my camera is now worth $50 and he has no use for it and they do not deal with Sony.any more. I have owned this camera for 10 months and I am very dissatisfied with the way this store handled my problem that was caused by their poor advice.

Apertures is a great company with fair prices and a staff that is very friendly who have answered every single one of my countless questions related to film. Out of respect for their identity I will not say who, but I was visiting the store the same time as one of the customers who wrote a negative review was there. The customer was out of line disrespecting the staff with their rude comments and vulgar language. Their review is not a fair assessment of Apertures or their staff.

Have worked with them since 2013 when got first DSLR. Have been taking photos since 1958, print. They were very cordial and informative about combining my past experience into the new digital world. Have taken one class and it was excellent. When I have a question, they can and do, always help. Since Im a little colorblind, prior to printing a large print, they will help get it right and taught me if correctly custom white balanced that the color will be generally very close to real. They helped me decide and pick a photo for Tulsa State Fair 2017 submission, and, since it won best in show for seniors, I was very pleased. You can pre-pay for small pints [4x6] which brings the price down without diminishing quality and still get personal attention to the prints. I cannot say enough good things about Apertures and the things they have done for me.

Had a Canon 7D that had a filthy sensor that required cleaning. I brought it in to Apertures around 11am and they had it ready for pick-up at 3pm, same day. When I picked up the camera, I almost didnt recognize it - they cleaned the WHOLE thing! Yeah, I would guess youd expect someone to clean the whole thing when you bring it in but I wasnt thinking about that, I was more worried about the sensor. But, wow, every nook and cranny on this this that had built up dirt was totally clean. It doesnt look like a 6 year old camera anymore and the spots in my pictures are gone! Mary Beth was very courteous and professional. Will definitely be returning to this store for my photography needs!
