One of my favorite places to visit in Tulsa since I’ve been a kid! It’s such a cool place for meetings, hangout sessions, getting homework done, or just hanging out by yourself. My favorite coffee shop in Tulsa! ❤️ A must try! Plus now they have a 420 friendly patio, and a dispensary upstairs - but even if you’re not into that, it’s not included in the coffee shop!
Been here a few times and I’ve decided it’s not a very welcoming environment. No one greets you when you walk in unless you fit their image. Someone else actually complained to the staff about the same issue and was told, “being nice to you isn’t part of my job. I talk to too many people all day.” Then her coworker ostracized him asking, “sir what kind of work do you do…. do you know anything about the customer service business”. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful. On the same visit I found a hair baked in my cookie. I won’t be returning to spend $13 to not be greeted or spoken to, a wimpy pastry, small coffee and cookie with a hair in it
I got the Pumpkin Pie Chai and I loved it! Play chess with my boyfriend while we enjoyed the pumpkin cream cheese roll. I’ve come here since high school. Great drinks and atmosphere!
I was a very frequent customer, but recently, for the past month or so, the Wi-Fi never works. I would go in there and buy several drinks and a pastry while working, but this is no longer the case. I’ve asked staff about it, and they always say just try again. I always try again, but it never works upon logging in and out.The staff is friendly, for the most part, but they are LOUD and obnoxious when associating with their coworkers. I believe they’re very immature, as most of the topics they discuss are inappropriate for workplace settings. You will also notice that staff members that are off-duty will come in to talk with their coworkers. This is so annoying because again, they talk about inappropriate topics and are loud. I’m not being dramatic here, they are very very loud. Finally, since I’m on a rant now, I would like to point out that they do have a drink/order requirement while using their space. I’ve noticed countless customers not purchasing anything and simply taking up valuable space for paying guests. This is especially noticeable with the large amount of homeless people that they allow to cause disturbances. I would not have a problem with this if said guests did not enter by screaming something or disturbing me while working (and asking me for money). Speaking of the disturbances, I think the instruments should be refrained from use unless the person using them knows how to play. I’ve seen too many customers come in and use the floor as a place to practice their [skills].
Great espresso drinks and good tea selection. An awesome spot to study/relax with its dim lighting and (usually) quiet atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to go by while they still have their Nutella croissants I highly recommend one to complement your coffee.
The Gypsy is a treasure. The barista who served us was so sweet and welcoming. They have plenty of seating on big comfy couches and they were making sure to wipe down tables and couches after a customer gave up their spot. Patio seating is also available in two separate areas. They had plenty of plant based options and the coffee was great! I got an iced americano and was pleasantly surprised!
PROS: Amazing quality of coffee. Food is delicious. I would always get a pastry/frittata with my meal and it is expensive, but totally worth it.CONS: The unwelcoming environment is definitely not a one-off experience. Other comments have addressed this, and they explain it away. But, the baristas/owners are just rude and completely unprofessional. They treat you with contempt and do not value your business at all. At this point, I cant take it anymore. I will not be going back-ever.Theyre frequently yelling at each other/arguing, wont greet you when you come in..act annoyed if you take a minute to consider what you want to order. In fact, god forbid you change your order (even before theyve started making it). The owners treat the staff as rudely as they will treat you. Its just not worth it...Go somewhere else.
A beautiful relaxing environment hidden away from the world. A true hidden gem of Tulsa. I love coming here to do my school work and partake in medicinal practices in the designated area. The barista who served me was extremely respectful. I work at Starbucks and I perfer coffee from Gypsy! I always order a hot chai with vanilla bean.. the foam and flavor is amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
This was my first Tulsa coffee shop, and you always remember your first. The snacks are good; the coffee is great! The mochas used to give me the caffeine jitters when I was young, so you know they are good. The vibes are laid back, the ambience, super chill. But the best part is the open mic every Tuesday. Originals only!
The baristas are great and kind. They have great choices of drinks and I always look forward to the atmosphere.
I feel very comfortable each and every time I go there.I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to get away from the Hussle and bussle of every day life.👍👍
Delicious coffee, irresistible deserts and the friendliest staff, a must for your morning Joe or your late night energizer!
Fun, hipster feel. Pink Floyd was playing when we walked in. Relaxing atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating (inside and outside seating.) Even though I am obviously not a hipster or anything close to cool, I felt welcome. Assortment of Coffee Drinks ordered and are great! Service quick, accurate, witty and very friendly.
Great coffee, not cheap but way better than any other coffee I’ve had. PLUS amazing bakery & LIVE MUSIC!Also if you love cannabis you can SMOKE ON THE PATIO!
An easy to walk to spot with great coffee and cool atmosphere. Easy way to spend the afternoon.
I really, really like this place a lot!Great laid-back atmosphere. Coffee is superb. 6 stars!
Cool little vibe here. They have wifi outlets and pastries
The coffee was amazing👏🏽I got the Euro-Trip #FlavorBurst #Deliciousness 🤤🤗The atmosphere was quiet and mind easing.. 🥰😊perfect for a mind getaway..The service.. not so great..😩😟🤔😕1st impression is the most important and customer service is key..😤Took my Husband to the only 420 friendly coffee shop on 4/20.. 1st time ever being here.. knew nothing.. was recommended nothing.. she couldnt even tell me about the croissants 🙄🙄#IonLikeEm 🤦🏽♀️
Everyone is awesome here! Especially the woman who helped me. For being a first time customer and feeling so at home is an amazing feeling. I have had a more personable experience here than Ive ever had from any other coffee shop/house here in Tulsa. The blueberry muffins are to die for and they are made by the coffee houses own baker! Absolutely 100% awesome!! Great job on an awesome and extremely unique coffee house. The name Gypsy Coffee House™® is perfect as well free spirited and goes where ever the wind takes you atmosphere! A coffee house with my spirit🎤🎨📒🃏🎻🎸🎷☕🍵🍛🍶🍯🍪🍓🍇🍉🍞🍮🍰🍧😄😍😁😀💯✔✔✔ Come spend 🔂your money💳💰 on something amazing and dont forget to Tip💲 these awesome ladies 🚺down here‼‼ Thank you once again to lovelies working here!!!
Very cute coffee shop my first time going, I love tea mine was lavender with blueberries it was a sexy tea.
The goal of our trip to the Brady Art District was to visit lots of eccletic resturants and shops. This coffee shop was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed everything about it. The decor, the people, the food and even the coffee! If our trip had been longer, this definitely would have been one of the places that we would have repeatedly visited.
Amazing coffee house with phenomenal fresh made food and baked goods. Wonderful atmosphere with awesome and knowledgable staff..
Stopped in ask where the restroom got yelled out that its for customers. The coffee is over priced and no taste in a latte only 2 shots in a large. Bad customer service didnt even put the selve on the coffee or lid had the on the dirty counter.
Came here to visit from Massachusetts, love this spot, great coffee/espresso and very eclectic. Also, try the quiche.
Super cool vibes, love coming here for studying late at night. all employees are kind except one who has been treating me differently than other customers. he never greeted me the first time I came in which I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was his off day but other customers came in and he had a huge smile on his face. Ever since that day, he has been giving me very off vibes and rarely greets me, doesn’t call out my name (but does to others) and just seems like he genuinely dislikes me. I don’t care if someone dislikes me or not but at least don’t show it and act professionally
Great espresso and small bites. A great place to study during the week. Before the pandemic, Id visit this shop almost every day for my caffeine fix so I guess its one of my favorites!
Great food, service, & drinks. Horrible plugins for people looking to study there. Plugins dont have the 3 prong plugs with grounding... Which every laptop needs.
Good coffee.. we had fun. Thanks for letting us be ourselves and have a good time as a family. Love the atmosphere.. would love to come back some Tuesday with my kids...Thanks again
The smores fall drink is amazing
Love that this shop is open late! enjoyed getting some work done and the artsy vibes of the indoor n outdoor spaces.
Most definitely gonna be coming back for sure.
Great place to grab a coffee or tea and chat with friends.
Chill spot just want more seating options inside
Cool calm atmosphere, delicious coffees and teas
Coffee is outstanding. Nice place just to enjoy coffee and relax
Nice place good coffee.
The make a great caramel cappuccino w/ almond milk. The outdoor smoking patio and dispensary are a big plus!
Great place for a cup of coffee or just to relax for a while and read a book.
The Gypsy is a landmark location in Tulsa, with a new location in jenks. Great coffee, good staff, good people.
We’ll see if this review stays up since all the negative Facebook reviews seemed to have ‘conveniently disappeared’.This place has gone downhill in terms of passion, effort, consideration, and just general welcomeness. What once could’ve been considered a safe space for any customer, let alone the people in the LGBTQIA+ community like they preach they are; has become a grody, uncaring, and at times hostile environment for their own customers. My friend was a regular for over two years until Curtis, the General Manager, decided to ignore the name they’ve been given him for that time duration, and called my friend by his legal name & shouted it in the coffee shop. For those who aren’t aware, this can be a huge trigger, and a lot to have to take in and deal with for someone who is transitioning. With that in mind, it’s hugely disappointing, but at this rate not surprising to hear the level of care has gone down at G***y. Love to see we’re still using an outdated slur as the name. I’m sure some employees make the difference and actual effort needed to try and make a safe space manageable, but when your general manager of the place ensures a moment like this happens; it’s up a creek with a stick to row with.If you support or are in the LGBTQIA+ community, please please please find another coffee shop. It’s a shame when the dollar stands in front of actual customer service. Let alone having a coffee shop preach to be love and light, when it’s more gimme your f****in money
Great atmosphere and patio. Coffee is good
My friends and I stumbled into this coffee house today, and were pleasantly surprised! The service and environment were both great! I had the Tiramisu cold brew, and OMG!! SO GOOD!!
The coffee was great.... the service not so much. The employee didnt really care to serve my wife an I on 420. They said it was 420 friendly online but all i saw was rain clouds The employee obviously was flustered and was very nonchalant if she didnt like her job or just didnt want to be there serving us melinated lovers on our anniversary week going on 420 .... by all means quit quit quit....You ruined our first experience at Gypsy Coffee House period..I may or may not try again ijdk about themI ont like em👀👀👀👀👀
Baristas are beautiful souls here...love love love the ambiance!!
My dad used to take me here when I was younger. I still go there even though hes been gone for several years. Its a good place to grab an iced matcha and sit when there arent many people.
Amazing atmosphere, good drinks, and calm!whats not to love!
Interesting place, good coffee. A little sketchy of an area, considering theres a dispensary right down the hall and construction is everywhere around it, but not bad.
I loved it there macchiatos are amazing and has a great vibe ❤️❤️❤️ definitely go
Great location by Guthrie Green, wonderful coffee. Their “latte art” doesn’t just end with lattes! No matter what you order, they’ll make your drink look special. Pictured below are mugs of hot chocolate & hot apple cider! Sometimes the company in this coffee house can be a bit sketchy and their parking lot is fairly small - my only reasons for giving 4 instead of 5 stars!
Gypsy Coffee house is so friendly and inviting it’s definitely a place to call home! If you are new in the city and want to make new friends this is the best place to go! Especially on Open Mic nights every Tuesday! Nick Eck is a super awesome dude so shout out to him for making the place even more awesome and inviting as well as Adonis and many others! There are some wonderful interesting characters who are employed here so time them well and come to meet new amazing people!
Wonderful environment and great food/drinks.
This is my favorite coffee shop in town. Its top 5 for the flavor of the coffee itself, but #1 for best baristas, best environment, and best food options to pair with that coffee. The vibe is definitely one where everyone is welcome - no coffee snobbery.
Could be cool, but the employees didnt interact w question asked. They just serve coffee ✌
This place is great, atmosphere has a Bohemian rustic vibe. Coffee is great, food is fresh and you can get some flower next door. Best patio for coffee and herb in Tulsa.
Super friendly folks, lots of wonderful inside and outside seating. Sure wish there was an area off in the corner where smokers could be. No smoking in the huge area outside.
Great coffee, and a dispensary inside!
I will preface this with I hate to leave negative reviews, but here it is. Yesterday 2/5/21 my fiancee and I discovered Gypsy Coffee House. The male barista was kind, chatty, was a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful barista who fulfilled our coffee dreams. The coffee was so good we decided to go back later that evening where we were met with another kind, wonderful male barista who once again served us amazing coffee. This morning 2/6/21, was the complete opposite. The female barista was cold, rude and the coffee was so bad we both donated it to a local trash can. The kolaches were the only high point on this visit. In short the two visits on 2/5 were over 5 stars, today unfortunately a big zero.
Nice atmosphere and fantastic coffee
A great place to go meet a wide variety of different people from different backgrounds. They have great coffee and tea selection and also fix food. Another thing of note is the dispensary in the same building
Nice quiet coffee shop with good coffee laidback atmosphere.
Favorite place to chill and grab a coffee or Italian soda when I wanna treat myself!
Amazing coffee, great atmosphere, excellent and helpful service. All around my favorite hangout spot. Would recommend to all my friends.
Great place to get coffee, and you for your dispensary is inside
Great venue for open mics to grab a delicious drink or snack. Really unique offerings here with good customer service.
Great and friendly atmosphere. Great selection of coffee and snacks.
I frequent this coffee shop and it is my favorite Tulsa coffee shop! The staff is always so nice and the atmosphere and guests are very accepting.
Great comfortable coffee shop with light music. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable! The coffee is great and they have lots of food items also. The strawberry banana muffin I had was delicious! There are places to charge mobile devices in the booths.
My favorite coffee shop in Tulsa! The atmosphere/decor/vibe is unmatched and I always love the desserts and drinks I get. My go-to study spot!
Nothing better than weed and coffee
The staff is super knowledgeable and extremely friendly . And the products on menu are many, eclectic, unique, and high quality delicious items. Every time I am always impressed and more than satisfied. Also the small selection of bakery items are on point as well . Sure, driving by you see tons of construction happening across the street. Walking up, my paces matched the jackhammers next door. BUT, when you walk inside Gypsy,
We built the dispensary thats here. The owner is a great guy. The Gypsy has pretty eclectic and solid base customers. The last I spoke to Eric theyre going to allow people from the Gypsy Cafe to use the dispensary products outdoors in the newly remodeled outdoor seating area... The first of its kind in Tulsa
A local Tulsa favorite and true gem . Amazing ambiance, cozy chill vibe . The staff is super knowledgeable and extremely friendly . And the products on menu are many, eclectic, unique, and high quality delicious items. Every time I am always impressed and more than satisfied. Also the small selection of bakery items are on point as well . Gypsy Coffee House Cafe is a true A+++ if there ever was one . If you haven’t ever been it’s worth your time and effort to make the trip downtown or just next time your downtown to stop in and enjoy the best coffee house Tulsa has to offer .
