This is a comic book shop for comic fans. If you are looking for things like pops, this is NOT the store for that. This is the old fashioned, hole in the wall type store. Would recommend it to comic collectors, wouldn’t recommend it to the ones looking for non comic comic stuff.

Stopped in today for the first time and I am so glad I did. It was truly wonderful, finding a classic-style comic book shop, especially given the considerable amount of back issues from less popular or known publishers. The current issue selection is robust as well. The gentleman who owns the store is super friendly and helpful.If a person has any desire whatsoever to spend a few hours rummaging through the dozens of long boxes, searching for a long forgotten treasure, or just simply to take a leisurely trip down memory lane, one would be hard pressed to find a finer shop.This shop was absolutely worth the two hour trip and I will certainly be returningSupport small businesses!

Comic Empire is great! Original owners retiring, very sad about that. Love it though. Place is a bit crowded, lots of cool decor. You can always stop by, grab a good comic, then be out the door and read your comic at a nearby mexican restaurant(Senor Fajitas anyone?), in about 20 minutes, because you will want to check out all the comics before you buy anything, otherwise the moment you go out the door youll see something you want.

Its a nice place to pick up comics. Its a bit small but I can deal with that. I got my first comics here a few months ago.

The owner, Mike, is extremely knowledgeable and can help you find anything youre looking for. If youre looking for a store that specializes in comics and only comics, this is the place.

I came once and the worker (or owner) didnt want to answer simple question about any comic. Hes pretty rude. Its almost like he doesnt want anyone to come in.

The oldest LCS in Oklahoma, The Comic Empire is THE place to go if youre looking for older reasonably priced comics. The owner is one of the most knowledgeable shopkeepers Ive ever met in the industry. Hes always extremely helpful when looking for specific issues. He doesnt just point and tell you where to look. He goes right to the box, pulls it out and helps you find it!

Just wanted to check this place out as Ive heard about it locally. After attending, its one of the best vintage comic shops Ive ever been to. Honestly. It was well organized, had both newer and old comics, and Mike was amazingly friendly. I left wanting to go back in and buy more! Being the oldest comic book store in Oklahoma, it really gives you the feel of the vintage days of comic book shops but offers a modern take as well. Prices were decent. Mike was honest, has a ton of knowledge, and cares about his store. There are some shops in Tulsa that have lazy owners. This is not one of them. You will be pleased that you went to Empire Comics.

Best selection. Best organization. Best grading. There is nothing worse than walking into a Comic Shop and seeing that they lump all back issues into one letter. Personally, i am not going to spend the time sifting through worthless Sigil books to find the one Superman comic they have. The Comic Empire has just about everything you could want, alphabetically!!! The way it should be. If you want good quality comics this is the place to go.

Im very new to colleting comics and saying to Mike he was willing to show me what to look for and was extremely helpful. Also he does like to barter which he cant do in some places. Definitely a place to go to regularly!

Ive been a comic fan since grade school in the 90s and Ive finally found my go to store! The owner is very knowledgable and doesnt shy from any questions or even just a friendly conversation. I hope this place is still up and going strong when my kids get of age so I can bring them here.

Pay close attention to the menu, and make sure that you can eat enough to justify the $30 all you can eat.Fantastic food and presentation, definitely worth the price.

Its the Oldest continually operating Comic book shop in the country. And for good reason. The owner is passionate and knowledgeable and is also a collector. Dont come here for figures and sculptures and pop vinyls. You wont find them. This is a Comic book Collectors comic book shop. Back issues by the thousands. Hard to find back issues are easy to locate in the stacks of this amazing shop. Youre stepping into the Early History of comic book collecting. Its an experience to shop here. And those that do and live close by, count themselves lucky that its here. Wall comics galore. No slabs. And no junk cluttering up the place. 98% pure comics. You dont find anything better in the U.S.

NOW I know why he doesn’t like to have anything graded! Bought several vintage comics from Michael and was told that they were original condition but had them graded and two came back as restored by cleaning and tear closing and trimming! The others had been colored in to make look better and were supposedly his little uncle fester looking friends 🙄.I would never recommend this place to anyone who collects comics only those who read them and dont care how they look or grade. Because they definitely alter the more pricey comics they have! I used to trust him but he also has a partner that is a scumbag who goes around town trying to find stuff he can restore and sell as unaltered! If I could I would have given 0 stars! This place is very untrustworthy Beware . I’d give 0 stars if I could have.
