I had the Whole Hog and she had the Bacon Avocado… both were amazing!I wasn’t sure about the blueberry bbq sauce but it paired very well with the pork.Very nice people, clean establishment, lots of interesting decor… very nice dining experience!We will definitely be back to try out the many menu selections!

So delicious! Blueberry BBQ sauce was amazing and the salads was as yummy as the cheesey bread sandwiches. Highly recommend!

Nice little Gem on Old Route 66. If you are cruising the Mother Road this is a great little stop for some really good food!! The folks there I have interacted with have been nice and helpful! Definitely will stop again! The ultimate club sandwich amazing!!

From the outside the place is very inviting. Once inside the owners were super friendly and gave great customer service. The food was delicious and fresh!!! Will definitely be returning soon.

Sara...sorry Im so slow getting around to this! (I promised her Id write her a review). The Meltdown Diner will seat about 20. You cant have your family reunion there...BUT...what a delightful and hunger-satisfying menu...all pretty much built around the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Meatloaf Grilled Cheese? Yup! Reuben Grilled Cheese? Yup! Club Grilled Cheese? Yup. You get the idea! And more than just a concept, Sara (forgive the cliche), adds a lot of ingredients and a nice amount of love. Im (usually) a big feeder but I HAD to haul about half my sandwich home. And, much to my very pleasant surprise, I really heated nicely the next day in a microwave on low power. Its a unique concept and absolutely wonderful! (How bout moving it to North Bixby, Sara?!)

If I could give it 1000 stars I would! After eating at a few other places in town during our vacation that was a disappointment, this was such an awesome find! My husband got The Hog, I got the meatloaf melt, my mom got the coleslaw melt and they were all SO good. Like the best sandwich Ive EVER eaten. We definitely will be back if we ever come back this way. I promise you wont be disappointed.

Didnt have order for door dash and never contacted the customer. They had to make the food and that took an additional 20 minutes. Please realize time is money and money is time.

My husband and I just tried this place last night for the first time. We ordered on DoorDash and LET ME TELL YOU! Its AMAZING! I got The Whole Hog and he got the Meatloaf Melt and they were incredible. We will absolutely be ordering again!

Small and cute little diner. Just dropped in to pick up my food and Im assuming the owners were there to hand it off. Extremely nice and the food was amazing. Im going to have to buy that jalapeño jam by the jar next time Im in town because holy moly it was good.

Doesnt matter what you get. Its gonna be amazing. GIGANTIC PORTIONS. Ive tried 4-5 different sandwiches and everyone of them was phenomenal. I like to eat A LOT and its hard for me to eat it all, but Momma didnt raise no quitter. Whole Hogg and Meatloaf are my go-to sandwiches. The wife loves the Monte Cristo and Patty Melt.

Unique! Cute and kitschy diner right on the corner of Route 66! The owner is the cook and both he and the waitress were friendly and the sandwiches were great.

The food is good but had to wait 1 hour for them to make two sandwiches and then out of the three ladies that was there they didnt know how to work the cash register.

Blink and youll miss this place, which would be a shame cause its delicious. A small diner on historic Route 66. Had the Meltdown Burger. Bologna, ham, 1/4lb beef patti, a half pound of cheese, and Bluesberry BBQ sauce! Ah-mazing!! Didnt get to try the fries this time cause I thought the burger would be too big. Planning on remedying that the next time around. Will definitely be going back.

It was awful!! Don’t know what else to say.. we ordered unsweet tea, they told us it was really bad and they had to throw it away, we ordered a Reuben, they didn’t have the meat, we ordered the onion straws and that also had to be canceled.. The Sandwich’s tasted like grease, the Monte Cristo’s bread was mushy and cold., she never asked if we wanted more drinks, it was hot and humid inside.. horrible experience

It was amazing in opinion. It like one of those places that u look at then say yeah one day Ill eat there but never do but I went. The workers was nice might go there every weekend tbh.

I came here to eat and I walked in and there was dirt all over the floor. I sat down and there were roaches crawling around on the ground. With how many roaches I seen I wasn’t about to order any food from them. Worst place to eat period.

Ok, very sweet Rt 66 themed place. If you like melted cheese sandwichs, this is for you. My husband had the club, and I made my own up. I had guacamole, tomato, mustard on their 5 cheese melt. To die for. Oh, the cornbread salad tastes like mexican cornbread mix. Sooo good.

Wonderful retro lunch spot in West Tulsa on Route 66. I enjoyed their Reuben with fries and will be heading back for the jalapeno popper sandwich soon. The owner and the server are both so fun and friendly. This is a terrific blast from the past.

Terrible experience at store, roaches climbing the walls and even found roach parts in my food. Wheres the health department when you need them.

I gotta say we had a little inside joke going on saying that itd probably be more like the letdown diner. As great as the photos looked, we were thinking itd set us up for great disappointment, but we finally made the drive from BA to give it a try for lunch one day and...OH...MA...GAWD! These are some of the most amazing sandwiches Ive ever put in my mouth. They even crisp the outside of the sandwich with a layer of cheese, but without burning it. My husband got the meatloaf and I got the roast beef one. Both were equally amazing! Cant recommend this little place enough.

A bit too expensive for me to go often, but I will go again. Me and my 6 year old girl paid $21 after tax and tip. That being said, I loved my sandwich and she hers. Friendly owner and waitress!

I ordered the Ultimate Club Melt through Doordash. In the special instructions space I requested no tomato, no mayo, no mustard and no pickle. I was extremely disappointed that no one paid attention to my request and that everything but mustard was on the sandwich. I attempted to salvage what I could but ended up having to throw majority of the sandwich away. It would have been amazing had I gotten to eat it. Doordash is expensive so it was disappointing.

The food was okay. They add too much to try and make it more, the burnt cheese on the bottom of my sandwich was awful.

I found this gem on Door Dash. It is my new favorite sandwich shop.. but sandwich shop doesnt begin to describe these.. the jalapeno popper sandwich is probably the best sandwich I have ever had.. but like I said the term sandwich is so underwhelming. It is a must try!!

This place is pretty impressive for something that goes so unnoticed. I tried their meatloaf sandwich and it alone filled this bottomless pit that I have. They actually fry cheese into the bread as they fry up the homemade meatloaf to melt the cheese inside the sandwich. It came out to me piping hot and delicious! This gem sits on a corner lot on Route 66 but can be easily missed if youre not looking. The waiter/cook they have may be a young guy but his abilities are very impressive. I will return for more!

I have been wanting to try out this place ever since I read a review in Tulsa Scene. I had the jalapeño popper melt and IT WAS THE BEST grilled cheese I have ever eaten. The bacon was crispy, the sourdough bread was fresh and service was fantastic. It’s cozy and you feel welcome right as you walk in the door. I can’t wait to go back and try the bacon guacamole melt!

The Melt Down Diner is my favorite neighborhood diner. They have many great dishes but the Whole Hog with Cornbread Salad is my favorite! If youre looking for great people, good conversation and great food this is it!

Was referred by a friend. Me and my 3 year old daughter sat for 20 minutes while food was being made. Went to pay and they couldnt break $100 bill. Only suggested option was to load my daughter up and go to quicktrip, unload her, break my bill, load her back up, go back to the diner, unload her again and go inside and pay for my sandwich. Most places would out up a sign if they cant accept large bills. Complete waste of time! Will not go back or recommend.

I’m not from the area so I just happened to find this place after some searching. This place is my favorite stop in Tulsa. The woman who took my order was very nice and the price of the food was great compared to what I would have to pay for the same thing back home! I couldn’t believe my entire order was $6!! Yeah the sandwich was a little greasy but that’s something you kinda get from diners and the taste more than made up for it! I only wish that I could come back in the future!

My mother and I came by today. With such lil space a found it impressively clean, and cozy. The meals were wonderful and supporting local means alot. Keep up the good work, we loved it!!!

Paid $20, bread very hard on both sandwiches ordered. Menu price eveidently doesnt include the chips and cookie they ask if you want. When being asked that, you figure its part of what you ordered not in addition to. For the price and quality doubt we will return. My spouse had been before and was in love with the food quality a few months back. Not the same now. 😢

I was super excited to try out this new little establishment clean & super cute on the outside When we walked in the Door the first thing we saw was the kitchen it could have been cleaned up a bit a lot of clutter within eyesight. My husband had the patty melt I had the Ruben. We got there around 1, around 1:45 we finally got our order there was only two other people besides us there. A group of two walked in about 20 minutes after we did they got their food first Im guessing it was because the cook knew the woman. Then when we finally got our food My Reuben was not the typical Ruben it only had about 4-5 shredded small pieces of roast beef not much bigger than a dime zero sauerkraut and no dressing on the sandwich. But I told the guy running it he just laughed and said sorry about that I guess I forgot the sauerkraut? I was already disappointed but then when he brought us the ticket for $27 I was just blown away I dont mind waiting or paying a hefty price for a good meal as long as my food is Right hot I dont know that well ever be back
