We have shopped with them previously and always had a great experience, However, today was excellent! Sophia overheard what we were asking Zach for, and she was very creative to think outside the box and find an instrument that wasn’t even showing in stock for us! It was perfectly meant to be to meet her there today! She was very patient with my son to give him some starter instructions and took the time to tune the instrument for us! She is amazing! So sorry Matt, for keeping her off the register for some time, but we are so grateful for her help!!Highly recommend the Guitar Center and ask for Sophia! We sure will!
This place sold me an Alto mixer that turned out to be a return that was put back into stock missing parts and wouldnt power up...i returned it and turns out they put it right back into stock......i ordered the same model Alto mixer through musicians friend....unknowingly they were bought by guitar center.....they sent me the same Alto mixer i returned ...i had to take it back to guitar center a second time and returned it....this shouldnt be happening !!!
I’ve been to a lot of guitar centers and I will say this one has a great selection but customer service is where they really shine. Zack enlightened me on a brand of guitar strings I apparently had been sleeping on. 🤙🏻
This place literally has a wall of guitars. Bass, drums, mics, music production, keyboards, they have everything music related. Its hard to not walk around and find something cool. And you can try it all almost everything in the store can be tested before purchasing, minus a few production pieces. The store personnel are friendly and dont care whether youre an expert or novice, they are willing to help you. They are knowledgeable in their jobs and answer all questions I had. If they didnt know they would find someone that did. Awesome people and great atmosphere.
Always a favorite stop! The Tulsa GC is always well stocked with the latest noise making equipment! All brands were well represented and priced very well. The representative that assisted me was totally cool and was very happy with my selection of Bass guitar ( An American Professional II series ) This thing was born to do it!!! Please stop in and give it try!
Ordered some things online and did the pick up from store option. Had to wait about 20-30 minutes to get my order but I understood since it was busy. Everything came in amazing shape. Love this store and the employees are very friendly and are very goal driven to make sure customers are satisfied. Been coming to this store for years. I highly recommend this place to any musician, or upcoming musicians.
The guitar tech was very kind to my 14 year old son that had questions. They helped him test out a few different bass guitars and he was happy that they left him to it to play.

Its fine If you want strings or small equipment, but dont spend a ton of money on something like a guitar or bass. If youre looking to buy something expensive and dont mind waiting, just order something from sweetwater or reverb. I say this because they overcharge you for small repairs and just in general not that trustworthy as a company. The most I spend here is on pedals, because those are hard to break and usually dont ever require repairs. So in conclusion. Guitar center is ok for small purchases and testing equipment. But their general care for customers is heavily lacking in quality.

I finally picked out a beautiful Gretsch g2215. They went above and beyond for a needy customer like me. Whatever you do though... DONT INTERUPT MATTS SALES PITCH.

Very unhappy with the service or lack of service that was provided to me and my husband today. We have made several purchases from Guitar Center in the past and the service has never been stellar, however we were at least assisted. Today we were in the store for nearly 20-25 minutes before anyone asked if we needed assistance even though we asked for assistance when we first got there and were told to “hold on”. The store was not particularly busy when we were there, in fact there were a few associates just walking around. Once my husband decided on the piano he wanted to purchase, we decided to wait in the line hoping this would get us some help. The associate whose line we were in attempted to assist however I guess he didn’t work in the ordering or piano department (the piano wasn’t in stock). He told us someone would be to help us. We continued to wait and no one ever came to help us. When we walked out of the store several associates were just walking around. Extremely frustrated that this store does not value its customers enough to have the decency to help them or maybe it was just us they didn’t prefer to help b/c others in the store were being assisted. Will not be returning. Also, we found the piano we were wanting online (not fromguitar center) for a better price and have purchased it.
Very busy and the staff is very knowledgeable of their products. Needed a wireless reciever package for my Amp and our sound board and they knew exactly what I was talking about. I like the atmosphere of the store and how each instrument style is broken into different parts of the store. I would recommend this place for novice and master level musicians!

There was a fairly basic selection of instruments and audio equipment, but nothing glamorous. Customer service was pretty poor, although the staff seemed to know what they were talking about when I did get help. It took me a long time to get anyone to help me, and when they did, they were occupied on their phone while doing so. I would suggest finding somewhere else to shop for audio equipment.

The tool parts came in a sandwich baggy and there are 2 missing screws...this is the 3rd product Ive purchased at this location that either had missing parts, didnt work well, or didnt work at all...is there any compensation for the gas Im spending each time I have to return faulty gear or is this just the quality that Guitar Center offers? Very disappointing and unacceptable. My business is going elsewhere, plenty of online music stores.
An all together decent experience today. I headed to guitar center knowing that I was making a purchase, I also knew that the likelihood of a Martin or a Taylor could be that purchase. As I arrived to the doors I realize theres a wait to get in so I along with 3 others sat outside patiently. I noticed that people were exiting the store but nobody was telling us to come in so I entered the building with mask on. As I walk in Im advised to keep my mask on and ask an associate before touching anything. I head for the acoustic rooms to start my search (a sign posted advising NO MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE AT A TIME) and immediately find a beautiful Martin that happens to be on sale so I go look for an employee. A dude comes to assist me but doesnt have a key to unlock said Martin so he goes to retrieve it. About 10 minutes pass so I leave the acoustic area to look for him but hes now assisting someone else. I go to the restroom and as I return there are 3 people in the acoustic room playing all different guitars with no employee around. So at this point I figured screw it and start testing out cheaper guitars as they arent locked. A short while later an associate walks in to get the Martin for me but I tell him Im over it because I found a well playing Fender that is much cheaper. I play a multitude of others and decide on the Fender so I grab some strings, picks and a capo before heading to the counter. As Im looking at picks the original employee that was supposed to help me with the Martin starts badgering me about my choice of guitar and I explain that I made a clear attempt to play/purchase an $833-$1600 guitar today but he never came back to help me. So instead of a high end guitar sale today they got a $404 purchase that Im completely happy with. As I understand it businesses have a goal of making money but I guess guitar center isnt too concerned with such things. If only guitar purchases online were acceptable to me.

Bait and switch! My wife called to see if they had a specific guitar in stock we wanted to buy for our son. The person answering the phone said that they had it and to come on by, but when she got there they tell her they dont in fact have that guitar in stock but they have some like it. How about not lying to people and wasting their time making them drive to your store for items you dont have in stock? Will be ordering from sweetwater online instead. Shame on yall.
Walked in with a used guitar I just got. Told the clerk I needed new strings, a new saddle, and picks for an acoustic. He showed me exactly what I needed and told me how they work. In and out in just a few minutes with all my parts.

Im absolutely put off by this location, yesterday a transaction was made and not handled ethically, my previous transactions always were handled with cash, I was told cash and then there at the end of the transaction all the sudden it was a business check, and then I was told I would be able to cash it today. Well here I am trying to cash this business check and the bank is telling me that guitar center hasnt done their part. I understand the possibility of there not enough cash in store but I should have been informed. On top of that where the hell is my receipt. Im disgusted with the lack of customer service and the way I was talked to on the phone. This will be my last transaction with this company said to say.

They have a lot of good things and prices aren’t so bad. Took $2k in today, just a moment ago to buy speakers for PA system. Picked what I wanted and asked twice for an associate to help me. They continued standing around talking and made no effort to come help me so I left after fifteen or so minutes of waiting.I can see why things are looking so bad for GC now. Enjoy your bankruptcy and get out of the way so someone interested in making sales can open shop here. I have taken my money down the road to another local music shop.
We got a lot of help picking out a guitar & amp workers were very friendly then but unfortunately, because of personal reasons, we had to return them both the next day. my husband was met with rude, loud employees mentioning that he just bought it yesterday then one tried to claim there was new scratches. a lot of it was uncomfortable & unnecessary. we are all humans here be nicer to others.
DO NOT ORDER! I ordered my sons Christmas gift and was given a promise date of 12/18. I have now found out that the item is out of stock and won’t ship until after January 2. I spent 30 minutes with a representative who didn’t help at all. I was told I would get a call from management and haven’t. I’m now headed to their store to try to figure it out with someone in person.
My son and I arrived at Guitar Center yesterday and were greeted at the door to wear a mask. As a person diagnosed with asthma, I informed him that I am not able to wear masks, and I couldnt believe that Guitar Center would not allow athsma sufferers to shop at their establishment. He then informed me that it was a companywide policy that everyone wear one, and we left. Didnt even get past the entrance.Just so Guitar Center is clear on the mask issue nationwide... there is no requirement, only a mandate issued by the federal government. There is a reason for this, because it is entirely unconstitutional and our very own CDC has flip flopped on the masks effectiveness since the plandemic began.As a serious lifelong musician, sadly, this is no longer a company Ill ever be a patron of again, in person OR online, because I disagree with their communist-like approach to the mandate. And I will not put my health at risk by following these new airy fairy rules.Myself and my children have and shall always remain mask free, and I sure hope more free citizens of this fine country will begin to follow suit. Only we can take our country back from those who seek to destroy it. This is not the America I want to raise my chidren in. My America is not a fearful one but one that is free. This is why we were founded...to flee oppressive, controlling forces.Thankfully, I can fix two birds with this stone...by encouraging people into the local shops that are almost extinct now due to big box stores with sub par service such as Guitar Center. Ill be telling all my industry friends.
Ordered a guitar a while back, got a message it was ready Thursday so drove and hour here Sunday and waited in the lobby for them to look for it over 30 minutes to be told they can’t find it and a manager would call us in the morning. An hour drive home and no call from anyone the next day so drove back Monday and husband called and was told still could not find it by Sam but that he would call us back. Still no call back. Now Tuesday and I’m sitting on the drive through told they have it but it’s not boxed because it was hanging on the wall. Given lots of excuses about how busy they are instead of an apology. Everyone is busy right now. I’ve made three 2 hour round trips to pick up a guitar and no one can even have the decency to call me back. Won’t be buying anything from here again. Still sitting in front of the store waiting for the guitar, a manager has to bring it up? They new I was on my way, you’d think they would have had it ready.

Honestly, I dont know what happened. The past couple if times that I have been there, the stock has been low, and I really couldnt find what I was looking for...and where are all the mixers? The place just isnt what it used to be.

Went in to see about purchasing a drum set. Didnt have anything in stock that I wanted. Jerry in sales was very helpful. Inquired about a kit on the website that was a discontinued color. Asked if there was a discount for that and was told no. Was told that although it was on the website as in stock that it would take until Feb. 20th to get them in. I replied I could buy a set at another place in a color I liked better and get them by end of week so I was not interested in GCs set. I was then asked if I would like to order the other gear on my list (nothing was in stock).... I was quite taken aback by that and replied that I would purchase everything from the store I buy the kit from.I left and ordered everything from Sweetwater. Everything in stock and shipped same day. Guitar Center has lost a customer......

I ordered a bass guitar from their online store. The guitar arrived very quickly. However, the guitar that arrived is NOT the one that was pictures. The guitar that arrived has two silver screws on the face of the guitar. These are not supposed to be there and were not pictured. Also, the guitar description very clearly said that a guitar case was included. I DID NOT recieve the guitar case. The store does not answer the phone.

Poor customer service. 1 employee was leaving when I was allowed in. Was told to ask for assistance if I wanted to play anything. Only 1 employee in site. He was waiting on 1 customer while at least 3 people were waiting in line. He called for assistance and no one showed up. I waited about 10 more minutes and left. Meanwhile 4 more people were waiting outside and no employees were communicating with them about when they would be allowed in. It was my first visit since March and I was very disappointed with the lack of service. Also inventory was very low.

This is a great place to shop. Great prices and awesome music equipment. The keyboard room is freaking awesome. The staff members do a really good job trying to help everybody but usually theres so many people in there its hard for them to get to everyone so you definitely have to be patient, but its like a toy store so its pretty easy to be patient. Was told about a month ago to bring my dj/karaoke equipment in by one employee that they would help me set everything up. This last weekend I brought all my equipment in like I was told I even purchased a $300.00 sub woofer and din or what ever his name was didnt even set it up or draw me a diagram like he said he would.he made me feel like I was a bother to him that they dont set this up as part of their service then I took my equipment home and try to set it up the way he said .and it didnt work so I called him at store to ask him what I should do he keep putting me on hold for several minutes at a time finally I hung up phone.and Im still not able to use my system including the new subwoofer. Im old school but I believe customer satisfaction is completely out the window with this store

Ill never buy here again. I bought a BRAND NEW bass guitar and amplifier online. The guitar arrived CLEARLY used. I was disgusted and wanted to return both and go somewhere else. I was told that they would only replace the damaged item. What good is a bass amp and no guitar? Their Easy Return Policy is a lie. These guys are crooks. Im sticking to local music stores from now on. You lost a customer Guitar Center. Good job!

Waited a whole hour in total of being outside and inside and I just finally decided to just walked out. All I wanted was just a Mic Stand. Plain and simple yet waisted my time waiting the whole time. They dont answer phones either so dont bother calling. Will not return!

My sales guy was very nice but very unknowledgeable and the more experienced guys acted like they didnt really have time to mess with me even though I spent $2000 in there on a new guitar, a mixer, and several other items. Im happy with my purchase but probably wont rush back there for future gear.

Despite covid theyve managed to do a really good job at staying open and keeping most inventory up to date. Customer service is pretty good but seems like I cant find anyone for specific help with an item but thats ok. Usually know as much or more than they do. There is no bartering there but there maybe should be. If GC was willing to knock off lets say $150 on an amp and the guy is standing there with cash in hand, any profit GC makes I would think be helpful.. I realize the sales guys are super busy but the manager is even harder to get loose long enough to ok a deal. I would let the sales guys take an offer and know what GC has in something and go from there. Some if that stuff has been there awhile and a bird in hand is with more than two in a bush you dont have. Otherwise a pretty decent GC and lucky to have here in T town

Guitar center in Tulsa... very unprofessional!!!! Went inside to exchange some cables I bought earlier in the week that were the wrong ones. Sign on door said will return at 1:00 PM. I arrived at 4:00. I enter the building and several other customers are already inside. 10 minutes later employees are yelling for everyone to get out of the building, because not all of their associates are back yet! Yet the sign on the door said will return at 1:00 and it was 4:00 when I arrived! They lost my business today! I will be making the 2 hour drive back home!

Always love looking at the guitars and drums. Its great that you can actually jack up and jam out before you make a purchase. The staff is usually very helpful. Only once was I ignored in a matter of years. The repair guy is helpful and honest. Weve had him fix two of our guitars and he was pretty quick with getting them done, except for the time he had to order a part to fix it with, but he was awesome and called us so wed know what was up.
Ive never had a bad time, or any customer service problems here at this location. I also like how their store inventory online, for Tulsa, is pretty much in line with the actual inventory you see in the store. This is unlike a lot of the music stores around town, and I think it makes it easier to get an idea of what you want before you walk into the store.
Staff were negligent and several of them werent able to help me even find the guitar I was looking for with the model number.
I would give this zero if possible. It started with an order back on August 13th. I ordered Fender Locking Tuners and a Seymour Duncan Humbucker. I received the tuners just fine, no problem, but for some reason this store requested the humbucker be shipped back. This wasnt a big deal at the time, I call Guitar Center customer service at their Headquarters to see what was going on and the HQ customer service was friendly and nice, but when they went to contact the store they got no one. HQ had no idea why the store requested a ship back. The store received the humbucker back on August 21st, but I still didnt get an single answer on what they were going to do about the humbucker, that they charged me for. I would wait about a week before calling HQ to see if there are any updates and they still couldnt get a hold of the store. Long story short its October 13th and GC customer service nor I have heard back from this store and GC customer service even put in a refund for me that this store has to approve and give me my money back, but at last I still havent received a refund nor the product I paid for. So I called GC HQ customer service... again and got the number to the store. I called a couple of times with no answer and theyre a few hours behind me, but it would have been mid day for them and one of the times I called someone answer, they didnt say anything though, I said hello, then a couple of seconds later they hung up the phone on me. I have spent al lot of money with GC and this one experience has caused me to no longer purchase anything from Guitar Center until I receive the product I paid for or I receive a refund, and a really GOOD explanation for the extremely poor service. I waited this long to put in the review because I was trying to give them a chance, but this is ridiculous. I could understand if it would take like two weeks to get a refund or another humbucker shipped, with everything thats going one in the world, but its been almost two months. This is beyond unacceptable for any company. And its even more sad that Guitar Center customer service at their headquarters, dont even know whats going on at one of their stores, and apparently cant issue me a refund or send me another humbucker.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! First off I wanted to call and ask about some gear and they just decide to let the phone ring until I hang up. Second they make you wait in a line and it will take about two hours just to get in if you’re like the fourth person there.
This place is one of the most awesome music stores I have ever been into!!!! Qathe staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and nice and I just absolutely love this place. you could get lost in here for hours! if you need pretty much anything musical this is the place to go! Hands down one of my all-time new favorite stores
