Interesting Curios and Realics when up for consignment. I remeber seeing a French Berthe, Mauser Red 9mm with shoulder stock, RPKs, Russian SVT, and other interesting things up for sale at different times. I never bought anything from here, but the staff are friendly. Its fun to walk in look and around.
Very rude with terrible customer service. Very miserable and grumpy people who don’t know how to handle a business.
Mark is amazing!! Great selection and prices. Always takes the time to help you pick the perfect firearm.
Nice selection. But the old man rude from the get go! Been told by many FFL as long as you have a valid DL you can buy a long gun in any state. He blurted OK only! I stated I have tons of proof i am an Oklahoma resident. He yells what did I tell you OKLAHOMA ONLY! Im like okay... Disabled Military Vet with 20 years of purchasing firearms! Worst service ever!
Horrible customer service. The old man is rude and disrespectful started yelling at me because I no longer wanted to purchase the gun. Told me I wasn’t getting my money back then asked if I wanted the gun or not? I guess if you change your mind he’ll keep your money and your gun. The lady that works with him is amazing couldn’t ask for a nicer person to deal with. The old man is just a money hungry degenerate. 10 out of 10 would not recommend
Have gotten several guns before from here and will continue to shop there...the guy behind the counter even gave me some free ammo after my second purchase in the same week .they even held one to one of the rifles on lay o way for me after several months of not being able to pay and didnt charge any extra no pushy sales even after I ask to hold 5 or 6 to find the right one for me and they have new and old stuff in stock your not gonna get a better shop in all of tulsa or surrounding towns
Well over priced on most
Great gun shop that has a lot of really awesome rifles, shotguns and hand guns. We purchase all of our firearms at Sooner Guns. The main three reasons are excellent customer service, outstanding overall selection, and very competitive pricing. Mark and Renee are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about hand guns, shotguns, and rifles. Sooner Guns is best gun store in Tulsa. Sooner Guns is the absolute best store to view and purchase Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson, Colt, Springfield Armory, Beretta, Benelli, Kimber, Glock and many other firearm manufacturers.
I thought Id mistakenly called a pawn shop. You know? That we really dont need your business attitude.
Perhaps one of the best gun shops I have ever been in. Not only was the staff friendly and polite, but their selection of guns is top notch. Ive bought several older weapons (cold war era) and have never had an issue with Any of them. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a large, decently priced selection of guns.
This place is awesome and will help you find the right firearm. Great people.
Cool selection, bad customer service. They often ask me about purchasing before I even handle anything. Tasteless and disrespectful IMO.
Great store, huge variety of weapons, excellent pricing and Rene, was a delight to work with. Very knowledgeable and super friendly, I highly recommend them.
I was in town from Texas for a few weeks and decided to check them out based on other reviews. Its a very nice shop. I purchased a 1022 and quite a bit of ammo. I got a holster for my pt92 that fit perfectly. They also ordered me two 20 round mags for the 92. Overall I liked the experience and kinda wish there shop was in my area of Texas. Renee was very nice. -Dakota
The selection of firearms are great, but the customer service is sub par. I recently went into this shop to purchase a component for an AR rifle. The woman is great, but I don’t believe she is aware of what all is in the stock. She always ask the gentleman where everything is. While explaining what I was looking for the owner (I’m assuming) immediately cut me off and said I don’t have it. I got the feeling he was being short and condescending so i took his word and left. The item I was looking for is still hanging on his wall (I saw it as I was walking out).If you know what you want down to the Mfg. number, this place is great! If you actually need help I would recommend you go elsewhere.
Mark and Renee are some of the nicest people. They have competitive prices, good stock, and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their product. They also treat out girls so nice. Not every gun shop is excited when I bring in 3 young girls, but Renee always has candy for them. We have shopped there since around the time they opened and have bought several firearms from them. No problems ever.
Very professional and down to Earth. Always something new and always something useful or fun in general. If you need someone to help you with something like first time shooting or if youre an expert I think this is an excellent shop, thank you Mark and Renee.
Wonderful people that made my first gun buying experience extraordinary! Great prices and an amazing selection of just about anything you could need. I highly recommend stopping here for all your needs!
Very helpful and nice. Helped me out with all of my needs
Extremely poor customer service! Acted like we were committing a sin by looking at firearms in a gun store give me a break. Took my business elsewhere.
If they dont have it they can order it . Love their lay-away. Very friendly. Refreshing, after trying to deal with other gun retailers.
I have purchased 2 pistols thru their Layaway program. Ive always found the Owners wife (I presume) to be courteous and professional in both instances !
Great selection and prices on par with any other shop in Tulsa. The customer service is outstanding. They offer 90 day layaway for those interested. I was recommended to them by a local gun range and will be purchasing all my future weapons here.
Some possible price gouging. Went in and saw a rifle I wanted that is regularly 650-700 and they are selling the exact same one for 1,100.00.
One of the largest and most widespread selections Ive seen from caliber, weapon type, and era. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Would recommend to anyone looking into their next firearm purchase.
I discovered Sooner Guns by accident while driving down Mingo. The owners are friendly and down to Earth. One perk they offer is layaway. You can put 25% down on any gun and you have 90 days to pay off the balance. In their back room they have an interesting selection of used firearms in stock. The prices are competitive and the merchandise was of good quality. I trust them and I will be shopping there again.
Found this store about a year ago and I have bought every gun I own from them. If your looking to buy a gun then this is the place to go. Great selection and terrific people. Mark and Renée are the best. Very helpful and no high pressure. I will be buying all my guns in the future from them.
I have done business here several times. In my opinion, Mark may not have the best people skills, but he is an ethical and fair business owner. He is not one to engage you in small talk or chit-chat. If that is important to you, you may be better off going somewhere else. If all you are interested in is a reasonable no-BS price on sporting arms, ammo, and accessories, then you shouldnt be disappointed.
Just bought a diamondback bd10 from them. Easy and super friendly. One of the better gun stores here. Lots of aftermarket stuff and lots of guns.
Mark and Renee are really good people. Very personable. Excellent stock of handguns and rifles. Great prices and layaway! Very knowledgeable husband and wife owned gunstore. Fun place to shop.
I bought my Makarov pistol at this store. It was in the bargain case with a lot of other well used handguns. Mark is a pretty good guy, he know I am a broke college student and took 20 bucks off the price plus sales tax. 150 even dollars for a solid and reliable project gun that turned out great. I wouldnt recommend this store for someone who is just getting into firearms, but if you are already knowledgeable, Mark can work a deal out.
Horrible customer service
Stumbled upon this store exactly a year ago. Went inside and was pleasantly surprised. Selection and prices are great. Friendly husband and wife team. They offer a great layaway and actually dig up hard to find guns. I had been looking for a little beretta jetfire 25 for a while. Went to see Mark and Renee and he had just sold one and had another (nice) one a week later. Was buying a gun for my wife at the time it arrived. They held it for me for a week till I could come back and put it in layaway. Have bought my last 3 guns from them. Wont be buying guns anywhere else. My official gun shop. Thanks guys
Very rude and condescending. Took my business elsewhere
These are great people with the best selection of firearms around hands down and the only place I will take my business.
Many Tulsa gun stores believe they are doing you a favor by helping you when you go in their store. If you do manage to flag someone down, oftentimes you get the feeling they would rather be somewhere else. There is a lot of looking down the nose at you. God help you if you want to look at something in the case. Not so at Sooner Guns. Mark and Renee will take the time to accommodate your questions and answer them as thoroughly as they can. Sometimes they get really busy (they have good inventory and quite reasonable prices - thus the crowd), but they will get to you. You need to be patient.I have purchased guns and accessories there multiple times. I have yet to be disappointed with any trip to Sooner Guns.
Great place for a large selection of Firearms, Ammunition and gear. Broad selection with layaway options. Good prices and very knowledgeable staff.
I have been in all or most all gun stores in Tulsa and found that mark and his wife are the best people I have came across. they have took the time and patience to answer all my questions with outstanding customer service I would highly recommend them to everyone who needs a firearm or anything gun related!!!! james Anderson.... also may I add a great selection on guns as well. I was looking for a kimber solo and the nice lady answered all my questions and showed me all the different ones they had even though she knew I wasnt going to buy a gun that day..
Thank you for my nra Sig P-365 love it a ton.Cant wait to get to the range!!!!10.5☆ from me!!!!!
I stopped by on my lunch hour to get a tool for my AR, and had a guestion about a Sig model of hand gun. I found the individual running the place to be very short and condisending . Not really available or focused on me and facillitating .Now i realize there are things to do in running a buisness and would have liked to have shopped and maybe bought something else, plenty of stock and lots to look at. Just not very user freindly.
Im a regular at this gun shop. After reading some of the comments, I would say you people need to remember youre in a gun shop and maybe it is you who should be respectful. Mark and Renee are nothing but nice. Btw, they also reserve the right to deny an application.
The best selection of classic and modern arms in Tulsa... Mark the owner is very knowledgeable and a good guy all around.
I been to this store several times, the lady that works there is very helpful and knows a lot about gun stuff
Great selection and service! Love that they have layaway...only way I can afford higher priced guns!
My to go place for ammo. Excellent customer service
Great friendly place with good prices. I wish the hours extended further into the evening but overall this is a great store.
Always come to this store, love it and will continue to shop around there
Great customer service !
I have been doing business with Mark and Rene for over a year now. Every time I walk through the door Im greeted by my name and asked how Im doing and what they can do for me. Both are very knowledgeable about thier products and inventory and the firearms industry and culture. Thier prices are more than competitive and thier products are current and well visible. Both are good people and when Im looking for something related to firearms I go there first.
Pawn shop will give you more for your gun....
Really great selection of quality firearms, and very friendly and personable customer service.
Just called to ask if they had any Browning Hi Powers in stock, or if they could special order one. Was treated in a very rude manner and the person answering the phone said cant help you, in the middle of a customer right now, call back later, with an unnecessary attitude. Well, looks like they potentially lost a customer willing to shell out over $1000 in cash. Since I am going to spend this amount of money on a firearm, I will not tolerate being treated like crap and will continue to look elsewhere. Ironically, Dongs and Sports World were both polite over the phone. Buying a gun at a gun store in Tulsa is just like voting in a presidential election; the lesser of two evils. Too bad there are no stores in which I would feel good about giving them my business, especially this much money.
Good variety of merchandise. Friendly staff.
Awesome store great people, they sometimes get busy but are always willing to help.
My favorite, family-owned and managed gun store in Tulsa...
Very rude! Poor customer service.
I went in yesterday to pick up an AK sight tool. I have been waiting for someone other than Red Army Standard to come out with an optics mount for my C39v2s proprietary rail mount as for starters it doesnt have the options I want primarily, and two it is just ugly. So I asked him if he knew if anyone else had released one yet. He tells me the UTG he had would fit it and proceeds to try to put it on my rifle, after several attempts (while I am telling him if it is not made for this rifle it will not fit, it is a proprietary rail) he gets it in a position that he tells me he can hammer it on but it will scratch the gun and it wont be able to come off and on with ease but shouldnt be taken off anyway. My thought is then why is it a quick release rail? While I appreciate the effort he made and the fact that he didnt hammer it on and damage my gun without letting me know that was what he was getting ready to do, he is not aware that there are more than one type of mounting for AKs. He told me they are all the same. I know for a fact the are not all the same prior to this proprietary system on mine. Being I am not the be all, end all of gun knowledge so I called Leapers (UTG) today to ask them if it would fit the C39V2 and was told no it has a much thicker rail system. So just as I had thought not only should you not have to hammer it on, once hammered on(if it would even hammer on and be located in placement aspect) the release lever that you push down to hold it in place after it slides onto a rifle it was made to fit would not have closed down to be flush and out of the way. His explanation for it not going on was the finish that is on my rifle. If .001 of an inch of black nitride is the deciding factor in a rail system fitting it is not hammer time! Then he asked me where I got my information and I told him lots of reading and research on the internet. And was told there was my problem, nobody knew what they were talking about. After speaking to the people that manufacture the product he was trying to sell me, the not knowing what you are talking about is quite laughable. I will say other than thinking he is the encyclopedia of all things firearms, him and his wife were nice people. They have a nice shop with good selection and good prices for a brick and mortar store. But I will continue doing my own research from the place where noone knows what they are talking about, lol and may go back and purchase there again if I know it is EXACTLY what I need, they have it in stock, and the price is right. This is not meant as a bash to them, they were of great help to me in having the sight tool when absolutely no one else in Tulsa or Broken Arrow had one. I think our approaches just very greatly, I like to research as much as I can and decipher from that what is useable and then measure, whereas he calls upon his recollection, opinion, and a hammer. I wonder if a gunshop might have had a set dial calipers on hand anywhere?
Bought my first pistol here. It was a painless experience, no pressure sales, and quick service. Will buy here again.
Mark as always been amazing. Great place
Went in here today looking for a 204 rifle. it took the woman walking in from the back to ask me if i was looking for something paticular. i said a 204 bolt action rifle brand not important. while he was bsing with another guy. him hatefull and rude said no dont carry them i said ok can you order. he replied no in a rude voice. beings it looked he delt in more assault rifles i asked well can you order an ar15 204 upper he said they dont make them. i said o well i can order them online no problem. he then said oh well dpms is the only one who makes them. ok you just said they wasnt produced for an AR. i will never walk back in his store and i will make sure spread the word accross the net as much as i can. and further more everyone i shoot with hunt with ect. if you cant handle customers asking questions and your a buisness owner your in the wrong buisness.
Friendly service and fair prices!
Awesome dealer... Mark is a fair man.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
Talked me into buying a gun and shot the weapon one time and the gun busted
Great gun store with a large inventory
I have made many purchases at this store....I have always been treated very well. I think maybe some people look for things to get upset about.
I purchased my Dream rifle here!
Very helpful and friendly
Friendly prices are fair
