I got a remanufactured transmission put in my truck. These people worked with my warranty company so I didnt have to. Quick installation with friendly service.

I was traveling cross country when I had some issues just East of Boise. Decided to limp it into Twin Falls and called these folks to see if they could figure out the issue witch I thought was the transmission. Was pulling a trailer and they had a secure place for me to put it while they checked it out. Mechanic took it out for a test drive and 95% believed it was the clutch fan. Only one clutch fan to be found in town for my truck. Yes indeed, mine was seized up. After a bit of time I was back on the road. I really appreciate how they got me in on a busy day and worked with me. From Leo the Manager to the mechanic and all other staff I really enjoyed learning about the area and the kind folks at this place. Thank you so much for helping me in my travels that made my final destination that more pleasurable. I can’t thank you enough.

They did my transmission and I had it redone several more time under warranty and still never worked as is should. They also forgot to tighten my carrier bearing and I dropped my driveline in the middle of the street after calling them the owner sent his brother over and he was drunk as a skunk it did happen along time ago but Im just seeing how good these reviews are and I feel like people need know.... Find a better place my transmission was done at least 4 times and it was probably more like 6 but I lost count and is still horrible

We were on a road trip from Whidbey Island WA to Lake Powell Utah for a family house boat vacation. I was hauling my 17 foot boat behind my Suburban. We were south of Twin Falls going 75 on the Interstate when my truck started breaking down. I was just able to get the rig over the fogllne before it stopped running altogether. Scary as heck with big rigs flying by feet away. I will leave out the towing details but it was nerve-wracking. I had no idea where to get my truck and boat towed to. The Chevy dealer said they could look at it in a day or two and would chargeemergency rates. No thanks. Spoke to Leo Williams at AAMCO in Twin Falls. He understood my predicament and promised to at least look at it that day. This was in the afternoon. We got it towed to Leos shop where he had to squeeze me in to look at the truck. Fuel pump failed. Told me he could hopefully get it done by 1 the following day. Not a simple job on a Suburban. You have to drop the tank, which of course I had just filled with 40 gallons of gas. Had to get two hotel rooms for the night, but we were able to walk there at least. Got a call at 1030 the next morning that the truck was done. Got the truck and the boat and we were only half a day behind on our house boat vacation. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, kindness, and alacrity demonstrated by Leo and his crew. I promised to write a review and here it is. Our vacation was saved thanks to Leo. I am truly thankful that I chose his shop to get towed to. Also, the price was totally reasonable, not cheap, but absolutely fair. They even saved most of my gas.

Truly saved our family’s vacation. Our motorhome broke down as we pulled into town and luckily we broke down next AAMCO. I called everyone in town to see they could help and everyone was too busy but I looked up and saw the AAMCO sign. Leo and the guys got us back on the road in no time. I highly recommend these guys. I was on a long road trip on New Year’s Eve and started to experience a coolant leak. I stopped in and explain my problem to the technicians, who fortunately were able to solve my problem and get me back on the road. I recognize how easy it could I’ve been to take advantage of someone in my position but they did not. Super professional, fair, and helpful. I’m so grateful. Would definitely go back and also recommend them.

Seeing my car used to give me a rush of pride. And then I started working 2 jobs, and started my own business, and car care went to the backburner until an unfortunate incident with a dog I was transporting. While in North Dakota, a dog I was traveling with urinated on my seats. I took my car in for a detail (not at Aamco). The company I went to charged me $70 to clean the front seats and after charging me for the detail they told me that there wasnt any way to get rid of the stains or the smell. They had sprayed febreeze on my seats till they were soaked (and sticky) and then advised me to drive (19 hours) to my home with the windows rolled down since the wind would help with both the smell and the wet seats. They also suggested buying a bottle of febreeze for the trip home. With that experience fresh in my mind, I was hesitant to get another detail, but my car needed it.At a friends recommendation, I reached out to Aamco. They worked me in the very next morning! Because I work early in the morning they helped me to arrange drop-off at a time that worked for my schedule. I called just a few hours later to confirm that they were able to gain access to my car, and they had already finished it! I was so pleased with the results of the detail. My car looks stunning! I had never noticed the sparkles on my dashboard faceplates before. Every surface gleamed, and my steering wheel that had started to fade in the sun is now a deep, glossy black again. They were able to get the stains out of my seat, and although my seats were not soaked like in my previous encounter, Aamco had still left a plastic seat protector over my seat to protect my legs. I was worried about residual odor or a strong chemical smell after detailing, but my car smells pleasantly clean in a way that isnt noticeable. (no febreeze or urine smells)The interior detail also included an exterior wash, and my car gives me that rush of pride once more. I think I am ruined for regular car washes now. I am a happy customer, and will definitely be returning!

Great guys, reasonable prices, helped me out ASAP.I was in the middle of a couple thousand mile trip when my radiator blew. Complete loss, had to get towed to the nearest town, Twin Falls. The tow truck driver recommend this shop and they did not disappoint. The guys were so kind and worked quickly to get me back on the road. I was quite impressed. They even washed my car, again, impressed, as the little things they did to help me out and make me feel better during a low. I could not recommend them more and my car still runs like a champ.

I just had a remanufactured transmission installed in my 1997 Dodge Ram van. Leo is the manager. Hes kind and caring, and he pays attention to details. He gave me the fastest service and the best product possible. Jason was one mechanic who worked on my van. He and another mechanic did excellent work. They were very friendly. They all explained everything and answered all my questions. Felt like I got great service. When employees are friendly and kind, I know they are honest as well. I appreciate their work very much. I also like the AAMCO warranty. I know they stand behind their work.

Amazing experience working with these guys on my car. It took longer than they thought BUT they kept me updated on what was happening and were so professional in all our conversations. Kept going until the job was done right and very honest, ethical business. Would take my car to them again in a heartbeat! They have great customer service with really friendly employees. Not only did they tell me what the actual problem was but they took me to see for myself what the damage was. In total my car took 4 hours to get fixed, I was informed the whole time by the front desk on what was happening and how much longer, I never felt ignored or forgotten! They also have a huge waiting area with comfy couch and kids corner. All in all I appreciate good service/ work I will definitely go back again and will recommend them to everyone.

Had an brake failure while on a road trip by myself, and couldnt repair it solo. After calling every other shop in Twin Falls and being told about availability next week, I eventually spoke to the owner of the AAMCO shop was told they had a technician that could get me in so I could get back on the road. Everyone was super friendly, and the bill was very reasonably priced compared to the prices other shops were giving me. I would give more stars if I could.

My van started having some troubles outside of Twin Falls while on a roadtrip. Fearing the worst, I was able to get it to the shop the following morning. Only a couple of hours after dropping it off, I received a call detailing what they thought was the issue, a time estimate, and an estimated cost. True to their word, the van was done in a few hours at the estimated cost and is running better than ever! Very professional. Very friendly. Cant recommend these guys enough.

Brought my car in with what I thought to be a busted transmission and bad fuel tank, and they went above and beyond and saved my transmission and had it back to me two business days later with a new gas tank as well. Back in November right before Thanksgiving my car was having a lot a issues and wouldnt stay running. I took it to another mechanic in town and he tried to charge me a lot of money up front for new parts for my car. I couldnt afford to pay all that so I was recommended to go to AAMCO to have it looked at. I turned my car into Leo on a Thursday night and he called me back Friday morning saying they had fixed my car!!! I went in and drove it around and they had indeed completely fixed my car in less than 24 hours for a much smaller price without replacing any parts. AAMCO is easily the best auto repair shop around. They gave me the best price(by far) for a clutch repair out of the multiple shops I called. They were also great with communicating and giving me updates as the repair process was undergoing. AAMCO even went above and beyond to call numerous vendors to get me the cheapest deal on the necessary parts. I’d recommend this shop to anyone requiring any kind of repair. Amazing customer service provided by Leo at AAMCO Transmissions. I have a 2015 Chrysler town and country with only 73,000 miles on it and my transmission just went out unexpectedly without any warning. My van was towed to AAMCO. Leo was kind enough to call and check if I had power train warranty which I had no idea what that was and wouldnt have thought to check in on it. He verified I did have power train warranty and instead of fixing my transmission and costing me a lot of money, he called and let me know and told me to have it towed to the dealership to have it repaired. I appreciate his honesty and if I have any work that needs to be done in the future AAMCO will have my business.

The air conditioning on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was not working at all. The compressor wouldnt even turn on. In addition the gates that control where the air comes out of (dash, defrost, floor, dash and floor, etc.) from the heater and air conditioner were not working. When running the heater, air would only come out of the defrost vents.They completely checked out the system, recharged the a/c, and replaced a broken vacuum line going to the gates. The a/c now works like new and the gates work perfectly. The work was done in about an hour and was I was only charged exactly what was quoted for a standard a/c service. To top it all off, they even washed my Jeep at no charge!The manager, Leo, was very nice, honest, and professional. The shop was cool, clean and had a very nice waiting area. I highly recommend this shop.

My husband and I and two dogs were driving home to Montana from Lake Tahoe. My suburban had a bad fuel pump and we broke down 39 miles from Twin Falls, Idaho on New Years Eve.. We got towed in by Magic Valley towing thanks to AAA. They did a great job. We stayed at the Best Western. For two nights due to everything being closed on New Years.They were also great. AAMCO was right next to the Best Western. I called first thing in the morning to AAMCO on Jan 2. I talked with Leo. He said no problem we will get you in this morning and diagnose the problem and get you on the road. They did just that. They efficiently replaced my fuel pump and filter and worked us into their schedule and got is on the road. The suburban runs great! The next day I had a voice mail from Leo asking if we made it home safely and the car drove fine. I cant say enough how thankful we were to get in right away, they were able to fix our car and they followed up with us when we got home the next day. Ive dealt with several mechanics in my life. Most not near as informing and caring as Loren and his crew!My Name is Alex, I live in the Jerome area. My pickup sat at a previous mechanic for 6 weeks before I finally couldnt take it anymore, so I did some shopping around and I came across Loren at AAMCO, I cant say enough good about the guy! Ive already recommended to most of my family members that his shop is the way to go. Ive never heard of a transmission being dropped one day, and then a new one slapped in, U joints replaced, oil changed, and a car wash in the course of 3 days. It really blew my mind! Not only that but he knew I had a budget and helped me out dearly to accommodate my needs. The replacement was very reasonably priced, I can definitely say that all services that were done to my truck were well underpriced and professionally taken care of. My transmission feels and shifts very well and Ive noticed I have some power back in my truck! Thanks again Loren for amazing service! Leo was very helpful and as I was traveling and in a bit of a time crunch, it was much appreciated. They did a repair and were concerned enough to suggest that I drive it around for a bit to make sure all was well. I was glad I did. I returned and they were able to quickly get another part at a discount to me and make the repair. I was able to travel home with no problems.

I took my car to AAMCO and they were so incredibly good to me I brought them cookies!My check engine light had come on and Leo had his crew investigate why. I had a sensor out and when that wasnt all that was wrong with it they went above and far, far beyond to not only fix the problem but keep it within a reasonable budget!! Fair, reasonable, honest, and competent.

I was driving from CO to WA, and as soon as I got into Idaho my car started overheating. I was able to get into the car shop before I continued on the road trip, Leo was able to get me in to check out my car. 6.5 hours later, I got my radiator, coolant and temperature gauge fixed in time to get back onto the road and made it home safely. Road tripping and my car breaking down in the middle of my trip wasnt fun but these guys took care of me and made sure that my car was safe enough to drive back. They even messaged me to make sure that I made it home safely. Id recommend this place to anyone in need of car trouble.

Went in for an oil change and my battery light was on. I asked what that was. He said let me see and said oh you need a new alternator. It will cost about 400.00 with parts and labor. Turns out it was my battery cables needed cleaned. Im glad my husband works on our vehicles because if not I would have spent an unneeded 400.00. wont be going back there.

Took my 1995 Toyota 4runner in for water pump and timing belt, the gentleman at the counter was super nice and let me know up front it might be a day before its gets in, only because they were so busy. Traveling from Boise to Idaho Falls when all of a sudden my truck started getting hot. Called Aamco and they were able to get me right in. It was a water pump issue and they got me done same day and on the road again. I even got a bonus as they washed my truck and it needed it. Took in so they could fix the transmission on my caravan, took them three weeks to get it checked and fixed, don’t get me wrong they did a good job on fixing it, once I picked it up noticed that the side panel on the drivers seat was broken let them know about the issue, they told me that their techs had seen it broken when I remember that it wasn’t, all they could do was for me to buy the part and they could install it for free. Careful when you take in your cars!Response-I know it wasn’t broken before I took it in, I wouldn’t be asking or saying anything if it would of been my fault! I would f been very glad if the part would have been boughten and I could of installed it my self that would of been more than enough!

I wouldnt take my car anywhere else here in the Twin Falls area. Ive had bad experiences in the past with mechanics in the area, but since day one at AAMCO in Twin, my experience has been great. Ive had plenty of repairs done on my car elsewhere and I only wish I would have gone here first to be totally honest. They have excellent customer service and I will continue to take my car here for any servicing.

I trusted this hard working group with the first repair and when my car decided it wanted to break again not even 50 miles back on the interstate I am glad I placed my trust in them. They have been working all day to figure out the cause of the new larger problem. Thanks to them I know Ill be able to get back out on my long journey home soon. In and out very quickly, the service manager Leo was a true professional, took care of me and my truck in a timely manner. The oil change was exactly what my truck needed and it was in and out no hassles and no teeth pulled. Clean store, professional, friendly staff....

I had a check engine light come on and the message panel on my car said service requested. I figured it was going to be a change transmission fluid (because of the mileage at which it was at). I had them hook the computer up to it while I waited in the waiting room and they came back and gave me a code read that said Speed Output Sensor failure. I asked how much they think it would be to fix it and they said they werent sure they would have to look around and see what was broken in the sensor. I then left AAMCO and went to use my cruise and it was no longer working (it was working before I went in) When I got home I started looking around and found a wire in which had been cut not ripped cut cleanly. I then got a splice and fixed it. I then took my car to Auto Zone and they plugged their computer into it and the code came back Transmission Service Requested. I then replaced the transmission fluid and the light turned off. So I will NEVER take my car back to them ever again.

We stopped in here on a road trip because our check engine light came on and indicated something was up with our transmission. After spending the day here, and $900, we were assured the issue was fixed. 3 hours later, the same issue came up. I called and spoke with Loren (spelling?) about being refunded a portion of our bill seeing that they did not actually fix the problem. He said nothing could be done. Go somewhere else if you want to not be taken advantage of.

Dropped my car off for a tune up, came back an hour and a half later to find out they hadnt even looked at at. Guy at the desk said they got swamped with oil changes and that his mechanic was on lunch now and it would be another hour before it was even looked at. Would have been nice to know that theyll help everyone else before they even get around to your car. Being a female its hard to find car places that are honest and respectable. I got the impression that my issue was not important to them, so Ill go elsewhere.

Our transmission failed coming through Wyoming and we landed in Twin Falls. We couldnt move. The AAMCO shop accurately and promptly diagnosed the problem and rebuilt our transmission at a reasonable price. Loren Baker and his crew saved our long planned road trip. Mechanic Shaun gave up his lunch to get us back on the road at the promised day and time. Weve since driven through Yosemite and the deserts of Nevada and we wouldnt be able to do any of it without AAMCO of Twin Falls. I recommend them most highly.

Our car broke down in Twin a block away from AAMCO. Loren and his team diagnosed and fixed it promptly. We appreciated the great service and clear communication regarding the cost of the repairs.

My car’s gauges and gauge lights had suddenly stopped working. Also could not get my car out of park without a screwdriver in the shift lock. Tried everything I knew but got nowhere. Got my car moving the next day, took it to AAMCO and made an appointment for a couple hours later for them to run a diagnostic. They’re waiting area was very roomy and even had things to keep my daughter entertained the whole time we were waiting. They came back and updated me on what they were doing as well. I waited about an hour and they discovered that a fuse had blown and it was also the wrong size so they replaced it for me at no cost! They were great to work with, I’ll definitely refer friends and be back if I need anything done with my car :)

Broke down on the interstate, and when the tow truck showed up, our tow guy suggested AAMCO for a mechanic. They were closer to the interstate than all other mechanics and right in the same area of town as most of the hotels and restaurants. This was a Sunday, no mechanics were open, so before opening hours on Monday morning, we went to AAMCO and they help us before their doors were open. They were quick to diagnose it on a busy Monday, quick to find/order parts (which had to be brought in from Boise), fixed it, even washed it and we were on our way, the same day, 3 hours earlier that we thought we would be. Once we were on the road, we joked that they actually didn’t fix it, they just gave us a new truck. It ran super quiet and super smooth the rest of the trip. Thank you Leo and AAMCO, you made an unpleasant situation into a very, very surprisingly easy ordeal for us. Cheers.

I had a horrible accident in the twin falls area while driving from East Texas to Oregon. This mechanical accident had all the elements to become horrific experience! I took my truck to amcoo thinking that the mechanical failure was my transmission it turned out not to be the case. I only had one shot due to the fact my truck was not drivable so I decided to just have to work done at aamco( a decision I dont regret at all)! These guys were great and went above and beyond and thats without any exaggeration I got text updates regularly they were very interactive they did the best they could to make a horrible situation somewhat bearable and were successful in their efforts. Anyone in the area thinking about using aamco to do work on their vehicles I strongly urge that they do they so very knowledgeable very thorough and very helpful!

2 weeks a go, my pickups engine light came on. I called the morning of a Friday and Loren was able to get it right in. It wound up being what I suspected: an O2 sensor. The problem was fixed and I picked up the truck that afternoon. They had ran it through the car wash which was a nice surprise. I was very impressed with their service and I will be going back if any of my vehicles need service again. Thank you!

I took my pickup in there three different times to get the air conditioning fixed. Each time it leaked all the fluid out and they couldnt figure out why. Its still not working properly. I need to find a new place to go

Helpful and quick... I just had two simple repairs done... seemed reasonable.

I was driving to work when my engine light came on. Naturally, I took it in looking to fix any issue that might be wrong with my vehicle. I went to 2 different automotive repair establishments and was told that I had a large leak; It was more than likely going to take a day to pinpoint the problem and resolve it. Thinking that I would have to walk back to my home and again to pick up my car, I went to one of the nearest automotive repair shops which happened to be AAMCO. After about 2 minutes they had told me my gas cap was just not fastened correctly. After readjusting the gas cap and restarting the car the engine light had turned off. I was more than happy with not only fixing the issue with my vehicle, but the knowledge that they had an obvious opportunity to take advantage of me and make money, but opted to be honest and straightforward instead. I will now and in the future use AAMCO and cannot recommend them enough.

They do great work Leo and the owner are great people we have nothing but good thong to say if they find something else wrong they let you know about the mechanics we worked with are top notch from transfer case to transmission to brakes they can handle it professionally

Just had a good experience with Aamco transmission in Twin Falls. I was on my way to Boise and the car wouldnt move after pulling off the freeway for gas. I called Loren and he told me that he could look at the car first thing in the morning if I could get it towed to his shop. They were able to look at it mid- morning on Friday and they had it repaired by the end of the day. I never thought I would say this, but I was very happy to pay $400 for a broken half-axle repair because I thought it was going to be a $3,000 transmission repair. These guys didnt take advantage of me and I was able to pick the car up on the following Monday morning on my return trip. The weekend was already stressful as I was trying to get my family moved to Eastern Idaho, and I didnt need any more headaches! Nice job guys!

Was in Twin Falls recently for my fathers funeral, and had transmission trouble with my car. This place was so helpful and courteous and got me on my way so fast. Grat place.

Great prices on routine oil changes and maintenance. Very clear explanations of which items are optional so you can opt out if you want to save money.

I thought they were going to be helpful after ordering a bad part and costing us and extra four days of rental car, Loren said he would give us 10% off. He originally quoted my husband $2500 to $2900, this was after they had taken the transmission apart and knew what they were looking at (ha!) so when my husband arrived to pick it up and had returned the rental car, suddenly the price has gone up $400 so now 10% off is over $3000. Their story kept changing on the part. Cody said, Well this model of car has two different kinds of torque converters and we dont always get the right one. Oh, I mean, the torque converter had some torn spines. Then Loren told my husband the part wouldnt be in until after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and the car wouldnt be ready until wednesday. He had just told me the car could be ready Tuesday afternoon. When my husband called back, Loren said, Oh, I didnt realized they Sent it UPS and the part is already here. Really? How many lies do they need to tell to rip you off? Stay away from this place! Sure hope our $3000+ transmission works longer than 12,000 miles! But if it doesnt, we wont go back to Aamco in Twin Falls. And did you notice…they are not Credited with the Better Business Bureau. Wish I had checked before I had taken it there. I was a woman alone, stranded in Twin Falls with a broken transmission.

I have tried to set up an appointment several times and can never get anyone on the phone. My trans is acting weird after driving through water and really need it looked at promptly as although im a mechanic automatics are magic to me and spending several grand on a new trans is what im trying to avoid!

I went in and asked for prices to have some work done and got a reasonable quote. So I send wife there the next week to have the work done an they try to up sell 475$ worth of services on top of the 200$ quote I got. And made it sound like the services were needed. Little did they now I was on the Bluetooth with her and heard it all so I had her leave before I had to pay for blinker fluid.My car is only worth 1500$ hard to justify 675$ for up selling injection cleaning radiator flushing ect ect I just wanted spark plugs and an oil change

My first and last experience at AAMCO was absolutely horrible. I took my truck in for a oil change, coolant flush, and to get a new seal on the transmission pan, with new fluid. The process that should have taken 3 hours took THREE DAYS. I wish I could be over exaggerating that, but unfortunately Im not. I was very unhappy to find out that the mechanic who was working on my truck, had no ASE certifications, very little qualifications and was in no way being supervised. As if the incredibly poor service wasnt enough, I was continually lied to. Being a woman, it was assumed I knew nothing about my vehicle. Although I have taken many ASE certification classes (unlike their mechanic). I was told the reason my car was taking so long is because one of the four bolts holding up the transmission pan broke. Which was unfortunate for them, because I knew very well there are 16 bolts on the transmission pan. Little lies like this continued until I went to pick up my car. The man at the front dest was so incredibly rude, I called to complain to a manager, only to find out he was the manager. After having picked up my car I got a call from AAMCO, it was the manager. He had called to tell me that I was being ungrateful. I still can not believe how incredibly rude he was. Extremely disappointed.
