I bought a car right out of college at Velocity Mazda (almost 7 years ago). It was an awesome experience; they say everything flows from the top down, and Camden (the owner) is a fantastic leader: simultaneously professional and personal. Anyway, almost 7 years later I have zero regrets about it.As a side note, this place has the fastest guest wifi in Tyler. I like getting my car service done here because of it.

We recently purchased our first Mazda, so this was our first experience with Velocity. We were highly impressed with the dealership, its staff, the selection (even with the current new car shortages), the buying (and trading-in) process...as well as a fair deal, especially while others are selling well over MSRP.We were in the market for a new SUV for my wife. It was a bad time to be looking, but we did it...and made it through! I had my wife test drive nearly every make and model available in East Texas and after our extensive research, we landed with Mazda...and thankfully, at Velocity in Tyler. Previously, she had mostly driven Fords.Now, to stay on topic of reviewing a place...our salesman, Jonathan Villa Montelongo (Product Specialist)-(when we first met him, he was only a few weeks into being a car salesman) was great! He was patient (as we took our time to test drive other makes); he was extremely knowledgeable...both with Mazda and engines/mechanics as well; and he stayed in touch with us...always there to answer any questions we had (or find someone that could help us, if he didnt know) without ever being pushy. We also dealt with John Musoga (F&I Manager) both at the level of sales (he assisted Johnathan very well, we appreciated that) and in financing. Neither of them ever tried to up-sell...anything, it was great! In the end: the purchase, financing and the amount of time Johnathan took to walk my wife through every option and tech included on her vehicle...was painless, smooth and well appreciated.Combined, my wife and I have purchased around a dozen vehicles over the years...both new and used, and this was the first time that I had no regrets...due to the whole process with these guys and Velocity. In fact, I always felt comfortable and held a smile on my face...not always the case for me, when buying any car!In closing, I highly recommend YOU:- Give Mazda a fair look!- Only deal with Velocity!- Ask for Jonathan!- Zoom-Zoom!

I happened to be on the market for a specific GMC Yukon XL (notably not a Mazda). I live 4+ hours from this dealership and found the GMC online at Velocity Mazda on a Thursday afternoon. That same afternoon, V and I exchanged additional photos and videos of both the Yukon and my trade in. By that evening, we had consensus as to a purchase price and trade in value (subject to in-person inspections). By that next morning, I had arrived in Tyler for a test drive with V and to exchange the vehicles without any fuss. The finance processes could not have been easier (also an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable team member who made the financing part easy to navigate and understand). This could not have been a better experience. Next time I need a car, no matter what vehicle it may be, and despite the fact that Im miles away, Ill start by giving V a shout. Well done.

I recently went over some of my documents that I had signed before purchasing my car. I was offered a PTO coverage on car for additional 2000 dollars. I acknowledge it was my fault for not reading everything on the form, but I just assumed since Mr Garcia was explaining every form by detail, that he would do the same for the PTO vehicle coverage. Mr Garcia explained all the benefits except the coverage details or obligations. Mr. Garcia knew I was a first time buyer and toke advantage of that. I’m not much a talker so they kept asking me all sorts of questions . Mr Garcia knew that I commute everyday for work. Per documents after 60,000 miles driven on the vehicle the coverage expires. I purchased my vehicle almost 2 years ago and I have 3 more years to go. In my case this coverage was pointless to purchase. Of course he didn’t mention that so he could make an extra 2000 dollars. I definitely won’t be returning for any car services or future purchases.

Had to get airbags replaced due to recall. Was told it would take 1 hour and it took 2 1/2 hours.

Traveling in from Indiana to visit relatives and the car breaks down a few miles from the destination and goes into “limp mode.” After almost being run over by trucks on the “loop” I had it towed the three miles to velocity. I had called and explained the situation and even though it was a Saturday morning and the shop was full the service manager Steve said they would take a look at the problem. The care from Steve and his team and the manager was beyond a family experience. This place, and Steve in particular, rocks! Amazing people, diagnosed a throttle body issue and fedexed the parts in and worked it as a priority. Notices another issue and fixed it as well at a amazing price 1/2 of what Indiana would have charged. Friendly, beautiful shop and waiting area, and the best people. 12/10 performance. Bought a 2015 Ford F-150 from Velocity recently. Had been looking online for specific trucks and happened to spot this one just driving around one night. First looked at the truck about 8:30pm. The owner, Camden, was still at the dealership and met with my wife and I that night and provided great detail on the history of the truck. Took the truck and checked it out and bought it the next day.Had a first rate experience with Camden and the team. Very professional job, non-confrontational, no hard sales job, just facts and straight answers to all questions asked. Would recommend Velocity Mazda.

Velocity Mazda is a small dealership and unlike their competitors, you dont have many layers between you and getting the best deal they can offer. I actually enjoyed the car buying experience and felt they did an excellent balance; not too pushy and making sure I got informed enough to make a decision. Most dealerships drag you through a long drawn out routine and because of this, I try and avoid them as much as I can. These people are friendly, knowledgeable, and are willing to be fair in the transaction. Even the financing guy was easy to do business with! Didnt push unneeded warranties, etc on me. Overall, I love what I got, and would buy another car from them in the future. Ask for Dillon Hunt...hes young and loves what he does. Great salesman...

So far my experiences with the service department have been excellent. Our local Mazda dealer closed which caused my to have to start going to Tyler. Everyone was nice and courteous. They had a loaner car for me to use while my repairs were being made as well. Will definitely be using them should the need arises again.

I recently bought a Mazda CX 5 from Velocity and want to comment on the outstanding customer service provided at this dealership. Camden went above and beyond, to sort out every issue we had to ensure we were able to get the perfect car. When an advertisement says a dealer is honest and reputable, this is one you can believe. He obviously sets an example for every employee at Velocity. This was by far the best hands-on customized tutorial regarding the vehicle Ive ever received. Marcus and Dillon were outstanding and took an amazing amount of time to show me how to safely operate all the systems in the car. I had read that the navigation system was a bit of a challenge. I actually went back a second time and they patiently took the time to walk me through in-putting various addresses until I felt comfortable doing this on my own. I have no doubt that if I feel challenged in the future I can rely on them to help me out again. Jose is the finance specialist and was both patient and flexible, again a great representative of customer service. I highly recommend buying any vehicle from Velocity - Ive dealt with enough dealerships to know.

What a DAY! I found this sweet deal of a 2016 Camry. It was super clean! I made the deposit and drove 150+ miles to check it out (over the phone I spoke to Katie, she was AWSOME!) When I got there I was very impressed. This place is no dump! All the cars were immaculate even used ones! Guys! My experience was painless. I was able to test drive and purchase my 2016 Camry in basically less than an hour, all while Katie (Ill say again. Awsome Awsome sales associate) walked me through the features of this amazing vehicle. I strongly suggest shopping what they have. Katie was top of her game and so was the dealership.

Purchasing a car was good, however don’t come back and use their service department for anything. Took 2 hours for an oil change, and I made an appointment, and the guy in that department was rude. Not going back.

The car has proven to be exactly as advertised and they even delivered it to our doorstep! Their service, flexibility, and professionalism was exceptional. I have to say that my experience with velocity has been one for the books! I cant say enough about how professional and courteous everyone I came into contact with has been. I live out of state and as such could not get to the dealer until almost closing time but despite this my salesman Joshua and the finance manager happily stayed past closing to assist with the paperwork and test drive. Joshua especially was very helpful in getting much of the needed work out of the way prior to me getting there. He did his very best to answer my questions and tell me his honest opinions as well. My husband and I are very disappointed in the dealership!! Purchased a used Tahoe thinking everything was good and not even made the Second payment and found out that the multipoint inspection was “done” and the AC stopped working after we purchased it “so they say” and we have to fix it, because we didn’t buy and extended warranty but was not offered one to even buy.... worst customer service ever!

I had hoped to buy in my local city, but that did not work out-long story, so I researched Tyler Mazda dealerships, after reading the reviews on google I opted to check out Velocity Mazda. After owning only GM products and tired of all the recalls I decided to check out what Mazda had to offer. I called and talked with James he was very helpful and located the auto I saw from Auto trader and secured a test drive the next day.I corresponded by text messages and he answered me promptly each time.My salesman was Marcus. He was very knowledgeable and patient showing all the cars features, which there are MANY, and how each one works. I got a great deal and all the features I wanted, except for the remote start which I can add at any time. It was also my birthday when I purchased the auto. Camden the owner gave me a loaner car so they could detail my car and have it ready the next day. I walked in the dealership the next day and I commented how the car of the showroom floor looked great all shiny with a huge shiny bow (I am worse than a crow about shiny things, lol), it was my car! It really looked sharp and I got to keep the bow, because it was my birthday! Thanks Camden it made my special day even more special seeing my car on the showroom floor all dressed up!I couldnt arrive till 5:00 PM to get my car and Marcus stayed way after dark after everyone else had already left showing each and every feature and to make sure I knew how to work through the menus, he set up my XM radio for me and was a joy to deal with. I would shop here again and I will when that time comes. I purchased the 2016 Mazda 6 Grand touring loaded. It drives like a dream!

I bought a new 2017 Mazda 6 from Velocity Mazda this past week. My experience was fantastic! They had to acquire the car I wanted from another dealership, so they went the extra mile to retrieve it and the deal was awesome, very smooth and with no pressure. Mr. Jones, the dealership owner, has created a close-knit, family-like culture of which you truly become a member with the V on the back of your car. I cant say enough about John Musoga, my product specialist, and Jose Garcia, the finance manager. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and really present the best options for the consumer, then the consumer decides what is best for him/her. And, finally, I have to mention the service department. Craig, Jerry and the crew have provided service work on my previous Mazdas for years, and have treated me extremely well with top-notch work. With the quality of people, service and prices, there is no reason to go elsewhere for service! All in all, Velocity Mazda has treated me as a VIP and I am so happy to have this high quality, stand alone Mazda dealership in our community! Purchased my 1st Brand New Vehicle here in 2015.Good people! Owner and staff were friendly, helpful, and was very patient with me.Over all, Great experienced shopping @ Velocity Mazda! One if the best car dealership I have been to.Only problem Im facing. not sure if its manufacturers error when build this vehicle or what...ITS MANUFACTURER IN MEXICO...but Im already having to come in for checkup because of MULTIPLE ISSUES my car having, one after another..And its only 14 months old with just 10k millage.I mean, if I want to get my car fix every couple of months, why would I spent 28,000 on a new car?Dont give me wrong. I really appreciate the warranty cover all the services expenses. Just wonder if this worth the money. Is it the reliable car I always wanted.ISSUES:1. Horn 📯 stop working2. HVAC not working properly3. Back windows defrost not working properly.To be continues Im sure....(I pray everyday, hope Im wrong)

My steering was making noise. I took my car to their service department to see what was wrong with it. Was there for about ten minutes when they said they were done. They said it was my tires. Several weeks later my steering locks up just as my kids and I are going around a sharp curve in the road. Yeah, that was my tires. I will never do business with them again!
