I took items in, to see if they could embroider them, in mid-December. They were horse items, and I wasnt sure if they could handle the size (bridle bag, saddle carrier). I was told they could, and agreed to come back after the holiday rush (the initial estimate was decent, a bit more than the place that made the items, but it saved me on shipping, and I was trying to support a local business).I came back about 4-6 weeks later, brought the quilted bridle bag, saddle carrier, and asked if they could also do a wool-type cooler (a big coat/cover, to help a sweaty horse cool down, in cold temps). The counter gal asked another lady if they could go big enough on the lettering, they handled the items, and agreed that they could. The price went up a bit, from what I was told in the first visit, because of the bulkiness, and I was more than fine with that. She handled, and chalked all of the items, to indicate lettering placement, so they knew exactly what they had committed to. I paid the $100 price they quoted, and left my items.Today (2/13), I received a call, saying that they misquoted the three item order, and it wouldnt be $100, but $462?!? They said it would take up too much time on their machine. I told them that I would pick up my items, and when I did, the same counter person tried to take the blame, when there were other people, who had seen, heard, and viewed the items, and allowed them to be accepted.Embroid Art was recommended by a company we lease to, who use them, and I have liked their work, and would have given them business from our RV park, trucking company, and my horse hobby, but after this, I cant in good faith, work with them. I was able to send all three items to a company in IL (where I should have sent them to begin with, but I was trying to stay local), who does work for huge horse organizations, and the total for all three items was $55. Even with shipping both ways, it will be under $200.Embroid Art stood to get our shirt orders, RV park promotional merchandise, a banner for the main driveway, chair backs, etc. but the lack of standing behind their quote (which I got twice, and accepted for more, due to bulky items), makes them untrustworthy, in my eyes.
Great people, good prices, they were able to take care of me on the spot. I would recommend if you need anything embroidered this is a great place.
Needed patches sewn on a shirt for my cub scout. They were going to charge a very reasonable price so I was thrilled until I had to return two more times with it not being completed when they said it would. And they forgot to sew on one patch. They didnt seem very concerned about it either.
Awesome friendly staff with a good turn around time. Tip: Go see them in person and be very specific with your order..... do not just phone or email it in. Bonus is that you will be glad you did becuse of the pretty girl in the corner!
