Do you want your time wasted? Do you want to talk to a gaggle of employees that somehow know less about the items in their store than you? Do you prefer to have your time wasted for days at a time? Then come on down to Guitar Center, Tyler Texas!Well make sure that any question you have is answered by not only a slack-jawed stare, but at least ten minutes of looking into a screen for answers that the back of a box could tell.Oh? You placed an order for same-day pickup? Well, that wont be ready until next week. And no, our order verification team does not work on weekends. So, make that two weeks. I know that completely defeats the purpose of in-store pickup, and I know that the item is visibly in stock, but we prefer to waste both your time and money here.I hope youll find solace that Guitar Center, Tyler Texas only hires the those one the neuro-divergent spectrum. So, well be giving each other dangerously hard high-fives with our urine and feces soaked hands before before we offer little-to-no assistance.
Wonderful selection of bass guitars. And knowledgeable staff. Captain Kirk waited on us... awesome, friendly and shared experience using something I was looking for.
Every Guitar Center I go to is always great. The people that work there are always friendly youre allowed to play the instruments if you want to I just love the place whichever one Ive gone to
Oh man they got some cool stuff here! Nice guys and wide selection of awesomeness.
They had only one of the guitars Ive been wanted to n replace from I had stolen. But they went out of their way to show me comparable models.... Im just in love with the one Im in love with, and the heart wants what the hearts wants. But Ill keep checking back.
It was a great experience..Connor was awesome and had so much patience with my granddaughter. I purchased all that he suggested.
Got a low ball for a guitar trading in on a new one. Custom service waited behind the counter to take my money after I told them the model and name of the guitar I came in for. Should of gone to a local store.
They always have what I need or can get it with a quickness.😎
Well if your looking for good equipment this the place to go
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Answered all my questions about getting started playing guitar and helped me decide which way I wanted to go. Never tried to load me up with stuff I didnt need or know about. Knowledgeable instructors with great patience.
I bought a used one from them and it came damaged. Conner Morgan the manager was very professional and solved the issue to my satisfaction. Thank you guys!
Great thanks to Colton absolutely a great manager he has resolved all issues and turned the store into a great place to shop. The only store in town that all employees and customers are required to ware mask. Feel very safe to shop there. Best selection in East Texas all sales people are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this store. Thanks again to everyone for there help.
Staff is friendly and polite. They dont seam to know alot about what they are selling and the repair people are very limited in what they can do. It would be great if they had someone like me doing the repairs because Ive been building and repairing guitars and basses for over 15 years, but other then that I love this store and would recommend it to all my musician friends.
Not much selection. Doesnt make much sense to have an entire room dedicated to 12 acoustic guitars. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in the market for anything other than an acoustic guitar then this is the place to be
When I need a luthier, I go elsewhere. But for buying new instruments, this place is good. Clean and good service. Not too pushy, which I appreciate.
Nice new selection restocked cleanLow prices
Great Service..and able to answer questions.
Never been the biggest fan of Guitar Center, but the Tyler, TX store has changed my mind. I went in to look at guitars and watched as they acted professionally and courteously with people that refused to wear masks. The staff took it very seriously and wouldnt let people in if they tried to throw a hissy fit about it. Hats off to the employees for making sure the logical people were safe.
Nice people plenty of guitars to choose from.
Great service, no pushy sales people, and super nice!!!!
Dean, mgr., Was great. The whole staff friendly and knowledgeable, a very pleasent experience.
Do u guys have jbl subwooofer if u do pls tell me what kind and watts and the price pls
Called the store about five times back to back and know would answer the phone they would just pick it up and hang the phone up cause you could hear talking in the background thats how I know they were picking up and hanging up the phone whats the point of having a phone number if nobody answers the phone
This place is awesome and the workers really care about there customers...
Pretty good guitar center. Not the best selection but definitely not the worst. Decent prices. Staff was semi-knowledgable about their merchandise. 3 stars out of 5.
Great spot. Knowledgeable people. They help me make noise. Recommended
Great store, great service.
Just lost a Sale, because my 6 year old, birthday boy did not had a mask.A the sales employee didnt care.My wife planned to spend 2 to 3 hundred dollars gift for him.Sorry, no customer oriented employee.
Overpriced and worn down but the staff was helpful
Good selection but they have let their amount of stock go way down from what it used to be. Everyone is always really helpful
So, my husband and I took our 15 yr old granddaughter to get a new guitar, hers was a hand me down and very old. From the moment we walked in we were taken care of, Kirk was the guy who helped us, he let her try different guitars, he gave us advice, he hung in there till she had made her decision. He answered all our questions, which were a lot!! I highly recommend the Guitar Center and Kirk!! Thank you!!
They have great customer service who are very friendly and knowledgeable about guitars and other musical instruments
Great customer service and very helpful and very knowledgeable staff
Too many shoppers werent masked.I left quickly seeing that employees were not enforcing corporate mask policy.
Clean store, wide variety. Extremely helpful.
I have never been treated so poorly. it only took 20 seconds for me to realize company policy and I left. I left there and went to Mundt music. I bought a Complete drum set. I was treated kind and polite and will do business with them for all of my music instruments moving forward. If you enjoy getting treated bad shop at guitar centre. You missed a great sale GC.
Has a good selection on new and used product and people are friendly and helpful they just need to get some of the displays working right
Always super clean and organized. The employees are awesome as always.
UPDATE: management reached out to me and resolved the issue. Extremely grateful the manager took time to help me. I really appreciate everything he did to make us happy again.Took my son to pick up drum sticks that he paid with his own debit card. He doesn’t have an ID, waiting on a new school ID, they wouldn’t release the sticks even with his email confirmation! He asked if his mom could go in to tell them he did purchase the sticks. They still wouldn’t release the sticks Bc I have a different last name than my son. I finally went to the door to go talk to them, doors locked (closing time I know) but you see my son was standing with me and was in there store. Manager looked right at me and did a cut gesture that they were closed. Extremely disappointed that they weren’t willing to talk to us and will be asking for a refund over $16 sticks!
While this store is smaller than most, they still have a very broad selection of products with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Terrible place, customer service get out of Tyler
Kirk was so helpful with helping us pick out an electric guitar. All the staff was very nice!!!
These guys were really helpful and got me just the lighting equipment I needed.
Met at the door by a clerk asking if I had a mask. I said no, I prefer to social distance. Another employee walked over, put one in my hand and said, here. I replied no thanks. I was told well, we cant let you enter with out a mask. I said, ok, and left with my 3,000 cash. Was coming in to purchase another Gibson Les Paul.... Hello Sweetwater.
I enjoy being able to see and touch actual products before I buy them. Better than a catalog.
I was at Guitar Center. Great store. Just bought a really nice guitar at a really good price. Their guitar tech did a basic setup for me and for a while they have extended returns period to 180 days.
My new pa 1000 korg
Great Place! for music equipment
Picked up my first guitar from this location, Kirk was extremely helpful and helped me pick out all the right equipment for me!
Very awesome store! The staff are really cool people. I was assisted by Conner, and he was extremely helpful. Spent time showing me things, and getting me exactly what I needed.
Great place for music gear!
The stuff is a little high. You can find the same stuff cheaper online but if you want to try something out or ask a question about something the staff is very knowledgeable. And they run specials on strings and stuff allot just have to catch them at right time. You can pretty much play anything in there including guitars, drums, pedals. I used the repair guy to fix one of my guitars and he did a great job and charged a reasonable amount.
This store is nice the attendants are helpful and know where to find most kof the merchandise when you ask for it . I will shop here more often for my guitar needs.
Employees at this location are seriously in need of some CS and PR training.
I went in today to buy a new Les Paul but was told I would have to wait because they were at their limit of people in the store 5 people were all that was in there. I won’t be going back if they are that scared. Some other store will be glad to take it
They have everything and/or can get it.
Love the atmosphere and the employee are willing to help & answer question.
Always tremendous service. Great selection
Very good customer service
Great selection of products. Guitar Center has all kinds of musical equipment and instruments. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!
They have a free introductory class about guitars on Saturdays. We attended last Saturday and it was a good experience. The instructor was very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Its hands on, expect to pick a guitar and strum it while they teach you the basics. Good for ages 6 and up, I would guess. They offer lessons but they arent pushy. Only one of my kids is interested in pursuing it, but they all had a positive experience 😊
The staff were very helpful, friendly, and personable. We were able to get just what we needed in a timely manner. If you have any A/V needs, guitar center would be my recommendation if you need great quality products and the experienced staff to help you figure out your needs.
It’s okay. Didn’t have either of the most desired Martin guitars I wanted to try in stock... so tried to talk me into doing a credit line with them to bring one in... naaaaa but very friendly staff. Also did a Jump Start music lesson. Seemed to know as much as the instructor, but again, super friendly and helpful instructor.
I wish there was an option for zero stars.
I love coming in here. Were hoping to get a new guitar for my brother this year for Christmas. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. I asked a lot of questions and they answered them. I am not a guitar person so Im waiting to go back with my significant other so purchase one. But overall, the staff was great. I dont have any complaints.
Lovely place, lovely food, and lovely staff. We eat here on average 3 times a month, often more than that. Prices are good based on the quality of the experience. I would give 5 stars easily, but like so many resturants now days, the wait staff is often inexperienced and lacking in 5-star ability. We enjoy it very much.
Im not sure what all these negative reviews are about, I guess we all have had instances where we catch people on a bad day. Ive been shopping at this Guitar Center for about a year and I find the employees to be (for the most part) friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are great and on several occasions the managers have bent over backwards to match any price Ive found elsewhere. My 2 kids and I also take lessons from this location and the lessons department is AWESOME! Donna is an absolute pleasure to work with on the scheduling and we are very happy with the instructors as well! ROCK ON!
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wide variety of instruments and tools.
Had to go to another guitar store because they wont let me in without a mask. Had all the employees in the store escorted me out.
Katie the manager was in my face as soon as I opened the door yelling at me to wear a mask....she was rude and disrespectful...I told her I was not going to wear a mask and I would stand outside and pay for my equipment....she refused and kicked me out of the store...said I disrespectedher and the store because I wouldnt wear a mask....I do ALOT of business with guitar center and this was the absolute worst experience EVER!!!
They tried to sell me a floor model guitar that had dents and scratches from people playing on it . Told me that was the only one they had, it wasnt. Went to mundtz music, and bought a sweet Jackson 7 string for 20 bucks cheaper, and no flaws! I wouldnt go to guitar center for anything but picks now!
Staff is very helpful, going out of their way to ensure your shopping experience is of the best kind. Also, their knowledge of the equipment and accessories is top notch. 100/10 would ALWAYS recommend Guitar Center!!!
They have a pretty good selection and great prices. Best of all, they dont mind if my kids play with the drums or slap a bongo or two.
Nice staff. Extremely hlepful
My children are music lovers and we shop at this location in Tyler,Tx.The retail store is great 👍 the staff is well versed and very professional.BUT with the limited number of places to take lessons, I took my child on Saturday to an introductory class to see about lessons, the introductory class went well, lots of experience and promises, so I signed up for a month, to see how well it was and if my children would learn here.Today was his first official lesson we get there on time, drove 40 minutes away and was told our instructor was not there. No advance call no email nothing, the young girl apologized and advised this happens a lot,(not what we were told on sign up).Debating on weather to go back at all, most likely will be asking for a refund.
The kindest and most knowledgeable guitar center staff I know. Great guitar tech too!
Mask required, still low prices and good quality products
When your spending about 1500, you want a good price! When I was at the guitar center in Nashville TN and Memphis TN, they had no problem knocking 10% off. This store in Tyler TX wouldnt do that, But its OK! I called the online store. The guitar center employe gave me way more that 10% off. I paid for it on line, and picked all my stuff up that I wanted and more, the next day! This Tyler tx store needs a new manger! But over all the employees are nice. I will still shop with guitar center. But I might use another location.
I am beyond angry and frustrated. I purchased a used Breedlove guitar from this store on February 22nd. I was having issues with it dropping out of tune from the beginning, but didnt think much about it. I put new strings and a new battery in it and thought the issue was behind me. Today I opened my case to play a gig, and the entire bridge had come off. I called the store, and was told it was well past time that theyd take a return...their policy is 45 days and its been about 60 days.I could kick myself for not just returning it straight out, but the store is five hours round trip from my home in Louisiana. Keep in mind I didnt want my money back - just a fix!The guy on the phone said I should have bought the pro policy and it would have been covered. As it stands, they suggested I drive 5 hours round trip...NOT for them to repair it (as they should) but for me to pay their guitar tech a minimum of $150 to repair it! I bought it at closing time in February, so the clerk was in a hurry and I dont recall being offered any pro plan. My husband was with me, and also didnt recall hearing it.I contacted Guitar Center main office and was told it was up to the local store to handle this. I have been told many times that its a mistake to buy from Guitar Center, but Id bought a Gibson from the Nashville store 10 years ago and had great luck with it. Never again. And certainly not the Tyler store. They couldnt be bothered with me, even though Id just bought the guitar. I wish Id used a credit card so I could have cancelled it. So angry.
I really want to take lessons everytime we walk in the door. What a beautiful assortment. Go and see it. You will be happy you did
They Have The Best Service And Deals
Great store at decent prices.
Alright selection, had trouble flagging down an associate for help but once I did they were helpful. Prices were somewhat reasonable but I could have easily found better deals online.
Never played bass, cant read music, in 6 weeks steve had me playing on stage at church. He is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher
Connor was the man! Very informative. Super happy with my purchase.
The staff is very nice, and I love that they allow people to play the instruments. My son loves to sit in there for an hour trying out electric guitars.
The guys at Guitar Center in Tyler are absolutely AMAZING! We were in town to broadcast a high school baseball game, Upon the setup of our equipment, we realized that the power supply for our mixer was the wrong one...it had gotten mixed up with another setup. Anyway, we called Guitar Center to see if they could help in a hurry. We drove there and they went out of their way to help us. The had ONE power supply that worked and it was not even in the showroom, but rather a leftover in the back. They gave it to us and sent us on our way to a successful broadcast. A+++ for customer service, and A+++ for product knowledge.
This store may be a smaller store. But let me tell you. The staff here is un unbeatable.Ive gone to the Mesquite store for years. But not anymore, Even though it is the closest store to me. I now drive an hour and a half just to go to this store because of the employees. They are nice, helpful, courteous, and appear to truly love the job. They have always made me feel at home.See you guys later.
Cool place for music needs, they buy instruments if youre in a bind and need some fast cash, though dont expect it to be what its worth.
Ive been to quite a few guitar centers and this one is top notch. You can tell the people working there actually care about keeping the merchandise in good shape and the store organized.
Its my favorite store.
Great customer service
Decent selection. Could have more variety in their high end guitars. Not everyone loves fender.
As a musician, love it..!
Daniel was the person who served me and he could not have been nicer. He repaired my guitar on the spot at no charged. My husband and I have patronized Guitar Center for many years and will continue to do so.Judi Williams
I had some questions about two unusual instruments I had acquired at an estate sale and a thrift store, a zither and a lute. The staff were helpful and gave some insight on how to clean them up, tuning and repair.
Dr Borah always gives the time needed & is very cost conscious. Recommends generic items one can purchase at a discout store if they work just as well. Staff is always polite & helpful!
Enough inventory to get you out of a bind if an emergency comes up.
