Appreciate the staff at the Universal City store. Doug was a great help not only that he was professional and friendly. He helped us with a battery and installation. I purchased an Oil filter housing for my BMW from this location and paid cash for it. My mechanic determined that I didn’t need it and the cause of my leak was only the seal. When I attempted to return the unused item and get my cash back, I ran into an attitude from Rob. He acted as if me requesting my money back was going to require him to move mountains. I had to wait 10 minutes for the safe to be opened. As he counted my cash back to me with huffing and puffing, I said to him, “Sorry for being such a pain.” He replied very sarcastically, “It is what it is.” He then turned on a dime and walked away. I will never spend money in an Advance Auto Parts store again. All I wanted was the money back for which I paid for my item. I didn’t expect to be treated with such disdain.

I returned a part I ordered online. It didnt fit my truck. Its nice that I can return it to a store, but they gave me a receipt showing I would get a lot less than what I paid. I complained and all they would do is give me the phone number to their corporate office. I called and learned that the store receipt wasnt correct and I would receive a full refund. And I did, that same day!

I had a dead battery and needed a new one. This place provided exceptional customer service and assistance! They did a diagnostics test to verify it was only my battery that needed replaced.

I have never had any good experience at any Advance Auto in any city. They treat the White customer way better then me(latino,45yo) Its either I will be totally ignored by team members.or followed around the store to make sure Im not stealing .

The young lady that helped me knew her stuff. She checked my battery and alternater. Very polite and patient. Definetely will shop their again.

The employees were very helpful, respectful, and friendly. I say friendly because, sometimes in other places some people would act as if they dont want to work where they work. But here, they all worked as a unit and treated me as we had known each other forever. I will most definitely be going back.

Doug was helpful in figuring out why my car would shut off and come back on. Turns out it was the battery terminal was no good and Doug was able to replace it for me. Thank you!Ask Daniel about his TSX too!

Big shot out to Doug, he was incredibly helpful, he put a part aside for me for when I got off work, he then asked when I got in store what was going on with my vehicle, I let him know and he said that it could be something else, but before letting me go or having me buy the part he researched my issue, the car part, and we discussed what it could be and finally I decided on the original part, but Doug really took care of me, from on the phone to a few hours later, and I really wanted to let people know, and Doug, may the Lord bless you and your family, thank you for all of your help! p.s it was the right part and my car is smooth sailing now!

Got to give them props. After being informed by my trusty mechanic I was facing major bucks in needed engine repair work. Not something a person with no skills and even less money wanted or needed to hear. Just when I thought the engine would fall any second while driving. Problem identified, bad alternator. Fortunately, it was bought at Advanced Auto with a lifetime warranty. Yep, bad new alternator. Called them, brought in the bad one and without hesitation had a new one on hold at another location. It was that easy. So, if you want service after the sale and your you have a lifetime warranty Advance Auto is number one choice in my book. Oh yes, Im looking for a new mechanic. Any suggestions?

Advanced has advanced in my book for my new auto parts needs. I have ordered on line and saved 25% and free shipping. Then went in store and was helped with all my questions and needs. I rented tools easily and returned them easier. They sell top named brands like Mom or, K&L, Edelbrock, and many others. Im just more satisfied with quality here than Autostuff. Should have though about quality names. Thats what I want. Advanced has gained a customer here.

Came here after receiving bad service at an Autozone thats closer to my home, the store is very clean, everyone was friendly and helpful and a great selection of items. Its a small drive for me but totally worth it to come here.

I give just one because i cant give 0, 2 weeks ago i went there to get the spark plugs for my car, i told the guy i do not know the socket size i need, so he asked me if i have the car with me i said yes i open the hood but this guy got the socket stuck in the cylinder, he use a much bigger socket, so after 3 hours everyone of them trying to get the socket out with no success i started to worry about this, so i start talking to this guy again and ask him to be responsible and fix my car, beside this situation he was already mad at me when i said it was hes fault for trying tp do something he doesnt know, the entire time he was giving me a really disrespectful attitude, after all this they took my car to DM service over pat booker and they fixed, and again when i said to the guy from advance auto i wasnt going to be responsible for any payment he started saying he knew what i was trying to get the full fraud, please people if you go there just dont ask for any help or so, never going back !
