I love ordering from here and bring it back to the office. I originally found it on Door dash but the menu is limited on door dash compared to their website, so now I order and go pick up. Their gluten free chocolate chip cookies are amazing, as big as your hand! The poke bowls are delicious! Love all the healthy food options!

This place is fantastic! I had my first ever açaí bowl and it far exceeded my expectations. Great service and a beautiful interior, where I participated in a zoom call for a while. I really appreciate the cafe’s cause as well, and am glad to have found this gem down the shore.

Very chill and relaxing vibe. Lots to take in. Staff is amazing. Excellent food and educational. You can learn a few things while you are there. Everything is organic. Items are a little pricey, but for all organic you expect an elevated price, and it is worth every penny. I love that the cafe is used to offer people 2nd chances. Definitely worth dealing with shore traffic to get there.

We visited the Enlightened Cafe this afternoon and I feel compelled to share our experiences.The first girl at the register who took our order was so self-absorbed and arrogant, I was really taken by surprise. She smiled a very fake smile and dished out phony, underhanded compliments that were clearly insults. She dramatized not knowing anything about anything we mentioned - including the availability of espresso in decaf. With her fake smile intact, she continued to be condescending and when I spoke to her she actually shifted her gaze away - still smiling - but not saying a word. She and the other girl working behind the counter were consistently making fun of the customers.The second girl working behind the counter kept looking at a customer who was playing a guitar (which was part of the sitting area near their corner stage and free for use) and making faces and smirking repeatedly. When our order came out, she was the one who delivered them and one of the drinks was wrong. She offered to remake it, but my daughter and I were so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave - and I didn’t trust that the drinks were well prepared given the attitudes of the two girls. I told her we didn’t feel good there and just didn’t want either drink and she quickly stated we couldn’t “just return them because we didn’t feel good.” I told her we wanted no money back - just didn’t want them. She was very rude and and walked away saying “yeah yeah” not so much under her breath. We left the lattes and left the cafe.I wouldn’t go back to that cafe if was the last one standing. I never tasted the latte so I don’t know if it was any good or not, but I wouldn’t trust them given the way the girls continuously made fun of their customers.

Excellent experience! The wedge tasted excellent! I could tell that the fruit was fresh and the oats with peanut butter is a great addition to it! The chicken panini was very well made, the bread was perfectly crispy and the chicken was very tasty! Overall would definitely recommend!

The cashier with the pretty earrings was courteous and kind. The whole place was spotless and very well managed.

We stopped by to get iced coffee and yoga. Our yoga class was in a nice spacious studio. They had plenty of mats and props available. We really liked our gentle yoga class. Our teacher was very good. After yoga we grabbed iced coffee with almond milk. Coffee was strong and delicious. They have plenty of tables and it’s very nicely decorated. We plan to try the food next time.

Coolest cafe in the area. Loved the grateful dead art on the walls and the all around grateful vibe. Very reasonable prices as well.

LOVE their food! I had 3 chicken tacos and the chicken was excellently prepared! The cole slaw they make and put in the tacos has a nice flavor kick to it which your taste buds will enjoy, but its not spicy, thankfully! The eggplant panini is excellant as well! Cheesecake slice is a generous serving as is everything else!

Waited for over an hour and they had not started making my food until I went up to the counter and asked them about it. Place was not even crowded. Do not waste your time going to this establishment as it’s the slowest place I have ever been to.

I love the idea of build your own bowl! It was a new experience for me. I liked my lunch, but it was missing the crunchies and savory flavor from fresh cucumbers and zucchini and tomatoes too moisten and complete the bowl. We both sampled the fresh iced tea and found it bitter. My husband ordered his fav a chicken panini. Hes not sure if he liked it. Eating organic was a new experience for both of us

This place is extremely overpriced. Food used to be somewhat decent but is not good anymore. Portion sizes used to be good but are ridiculously small now. Acai bowls are a joke.

I’ve been in town for a few days from California and I can’t believe this place is in Ventnor. I’m so glad! I grew up on this island and didn’t leave until seven years ago, so my friends and family are here and it’s a blessing that they have high quality, healthy organic food to eat! I decided to try the happiness bowl despite the negative review. Let me tell you, I was feeling pretty happy! Perhaps the woman who wrote the negative review about the happiness bowl is an individual who is just overall unhappy. It’s good. It’s all good. Yes, it’s a bit expensive, but organic food on the island is worth every penny. Not to mention that every single item on the menu is Organic-down to the condiments. And even more importantly, look at where the money is going! I’ve tried several items on the menu. Not one complaint. It would be wonderful if they switched from the plastic serving cups to ceramic ramekins. The to-go boxes are paper. Vote with you dollars people. We want to see more of this. Thank you!!

The food was amazing and the service was great. I also really liked the atmosphere; it was industrial with exposed duct work and wood tables.

This place isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t matter- five stars were earned through integrity and a progressive approach. Enlightened café is a gem in South Jersey. Light in the darkness! There is a huge void-an abundance of low quality food, and shortage of high quality food. This café is filling that void and it’s a blessing! The non-profit model is an incredible concept. I pray that they survive in this location, because South Jersey needs this place! The food is delicious. It’s high quality, conscious food. The cleaning supplies are even considered (they’re natural/non-toxic)! The owner really has high integrity, without a shadow of a doubt. The prices may be high for South Jersey (California organic prices), and it’s for good reason. It’s worth it. Profits go to those struggling with addiction and ready for recovery. Thank you for this place!

This is an interesting place, a little quirky, food and drinks looked and tasted fantastic. Very casual atmosphere worth an excellent staff. Decor is unique, with great surfing videos playing on the wall.

Absolutely amazing! Ordered through doordash and couldn’t be happier! The food was melt in your mouth, and I tried the charcoal mint lemonade, it was DELICIOUS 🤤!!! Definitely will be recommended to friends and ordering again!! The people that work at the Cafe are all very sweet. My daughter loves going here when she visits with her dad and when I walked in they all were very welcoming and helpful. I have never had anything from here but the smoothies we got were really good, healthy, and filling! I would deff go back. Of course my kid loved the hammock there. I also liked the atmosphere with the chilled out look of greatful dead and Jerry Garcia.

I love the mission here but I have to knock a few things after supporting Enlightened Café since opening. The menu has changed so drastically since the beginning. Thats a great thing because the menu has always been small and it makes room for new options. But some of the best items were removed and replaced with items that simply dont live up to the previous menu. Living in Ventnor and loving everything Enlightened does, I want so badly to support this place but they make it difficult to. Their catering menu is basically nonexistent these days and when ordering food for a business holiday party we had a lot of issues. We were referencing an old catering menu that none of the staff seems to be aware ever existed. We have ordered the same thing every year since the cafe opened. Nobody could really say what the options were for a party order, only that they no longer had what we usually ask for. I basically ended up ordering a whole lot of I dont know whats in it and I dont know the cost. I kept being told the cafe is under new management, and well, the new management is not very friendly or helpful. I love and support The Hansen Foundation and making contributions to recovery is important but honestly ordering food from here is a pain now.

Food was cold, salad was saturated with dressing, chicken was tough, excessive salt, taco shells were burnt. Thought this was a healthy option...no. Expensive, took over an hour for delivery. Horrible experience...

Weakest latte i ever had tasted like water and i got an iced latte w almond milk but the smoothie was good.

I am in love with the ambience of this place & the menu has a variety of healthy options. It kind of gave me LA vibes. My friends and I ordered the avocado toasts, Buddha bowl and the home fries skillet. The Buddha bowl was delicious. The avocado toast was also delicious although I would ask for other than white bread next time. To top it off this place donates 100% of the profit towards a great cause. I will return and bring more friends. I cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

It’s a unique spot in Ventnor. I like to come here for lunch during the week. It’s not crowded. I can work on my computer and not be bothered. They have a garden on the back where they grow their ingredients. There is yoga in a back room. You can find yoga schedule by the entrance. Pretty cool place.

I go to Enlightened Cafe fir a few reasons. Each time I go, a cup of amazing tea is also on my agenda. I am ordering a different one each time but Lazy Daze is my favorite. The people working there are very friendly and helpful. The food is great too. I have had amazing tacos.

We were visiting AC for a few days, and found the boardwalk to be VERY limited as far as food options are concerned. We were on our way to check out Lucy the Elephant when we looked up nearby places. Thankfully, we found this place and we were pleasantly surprised. In the words of my daughter, the chickpea tacos were bomb af!! Haha, seriously the food felt good to eat and nourishing. It was a nice change from the plain, basic and unhealthy options on the boardwalk.

I cant say enuf good things about this place. My juice was amazing . the space has great vibes, the decor is hip & homie and the locals /staff are super friendly. Only problem is deciding what to order. Also its a non profit supporting our fellow humans too.

Quick, easy, delicious! It was my first time here and the woman at the counter offered great recommendations and had my meal up in minutes without even knowing I was in a rush! Definitely recommend! The Buddha buzz was excellent!

This restaurant is a recent find of ours in ventnor. The structure of the restaurant is very interesting and the ordering of their unique menu is done at the cash register. This is a No-Frills type of establishment. My companion and I ordered shrimp tacos, one order each. There were three other tables of customers in the restaurant at the time. Two of the tables already had their food but the wait for the tacos was over 1/2 hour and then only one serving was brought to us. They apologized went back to fix another order which was another 15 minute wait. When the food was brought to us the shrimp in the taco was inedible. we were told when we inquired about the saltiness of the shrimp that the shrimp arrived in a brine and unfortunately they had forgotten to rinse it before serving it to us! There was no offer to take the order off our bill or to offer anything else to us in way of compensation. Also we observed a couple who came in and ordered takeout. They also had to wait a long time for their order. when they did pay for their order they left the restaurant only to return because the order was wrong. If they did not have such a unique menu with the promise of a nutritious and wholesome meal I dont think that I would ever return.

What a great addition to downtown Ventnor! Came here for lunch and really enjoyed my quesadilla! Prices are good and the food quality is even better! Love all off the pictures on the wall and how nice the setup is. The staff is always friendly!

Not a lot to say cause I like it there a lot. They have a great vibe going on in there, great art (even the tables). Food all good and healthy and delicious. They even offer guests better and healthier water than anyone around. And if your lucky, you may catch some local musicians there jamming.

The drinks all look great, and I was impressed by their shots (I had Ginger, Lemon, Honey, Turmeric).Beyond that, the overall vibe is chill. Pretty cool decorations, I saw a stage for performances (including an open mic night), and they attempt at using sustainable materials.Also, I find it incredible that it is operated, run, and the profits go to an organization that is dedicated to helping those in their struggle with addiction. They host meetings, yoga, and other events in the back, and its manned by people who are struggling to re-enter society after being estranged for so long. Its amazing, and the energy coming out of it will plainly tell you that.So if youre looking for quality, well priced food, in a relaxed atmosphere, trying to effect a positive change in the world, I highly recommend you try it, and Im pretty sure youll be going back for more.

Great vegetarian options, some vegan as well! Very friendly staff and a great environment to catch up with friends over tea or coffee. Must try their turmeric latte! Its a place for every type of person, especially on their open mic and musician nights. Not to mention its all non profit, everything made goes to buying the organic food and to The Hanson Foundation!

It was absolutely awful. I ordered the happiness bowl and it literally made me angry and almost ruin my day, that’s how awful it was. The chicken was so over cooked I thought I was eating unseasoned chicken jerky. The quinoa hash was garbage. The lime sauce was no where to be found. Last but not least the portion size was absurd for a 17 dollar lunch . I could have made my own happiness bowl better at home for family of four for the price I paid for that garbage of lunch.

I had smoothies and drinks here in the summer of 17. They were very watery. I even sent back the smoothies because they were that bad.My girlfriend and I heard the cafe got better so we checked it out again. We ate here a few days ago and the food was good. We got drinks this morning and the smoothies were watery again. Definitely not ordering drinks again from here, especially since it was almost $20 for subpar two drinks. Food was decent though.

I went a few weeks ago on a Saturday and they had some very good live music. I had a few snacks that were ok but its really not might type of preferred food. Its a very nice environment for a crowd that doesnt have to consume alcohol to have a good time.
