My Wife and I went to The Floor Factory to get a quote for a pre-fab countertop installation on our kitchen. We had previously spoken to a lady over the phone providing her details that we had the measurements already, and that we’re currently getting quotes. My wife asked her if their pricing was competitive, and she responded with it all depends on what material you are looking for. Most times a prefab job is cheaper than a custom fabricated one. She agreed, and said yes come in for the quote!After greeting, she turned us over to the owner who immediately asked us where we received our current quote from. As we weren’t sure of the company name, he claimed contractors and other companies in the high desert’s quality are few and far between, and that depending on if our quote was from “Pedro, working out of his garage” there will be a big difference in his pricing.Surely, we both understand what he is saying but did not appreciate the derogatory comment specifically mentioning a Hispanic name as I am Hispanic. His tone also indicated hostility, but that’s not all! We had to ask him a few times if he would give us a quote in regards to our measurements. After all, that is what we came in for. He begins writing down the measurements and multiplying by his standard $45 a square foot cost. Plus, keep in mind we had already mentioned we wanted prefab and picked out a cheaper granite they had. With all that in mind he did not acknowledge any of this and when he gave us the grand finale quote, he actually had the nerve to say when my wife asked is this for a prefab quote or fabricated that it really didn’t matter. It’s all the same really.At this point we’re annoyed and feel like we’ve wasted time, because I know that the pricing is different depending on the installation. He is throwing a standard pricing at us, and trying to compensate his so-called good work for such a high price. When he realized we were not extremely thrilled with the quote, he continued talking up his fabricator who is likely doing most of the work anyway. My wife looked at me and said I think we’re done here. As we’re about to leave, he turns his back and blurts out, “OH MILLENNIALS”.Can you believe this so-called professional is treating his customers like this? I don’t think he is going to get much business if he treats customers with hostility, and presumably knows it all. I’d say save yourself the time and money by dodging this company. BUYER BEWARE!

The owners are super helpful, and they have amazing flooring. I love my floors!

Randy was very helpful and made sure we got the right tile and got it for us the next day without charging us extra will definately do business again

We are DIYers and initially made a purchase of 112 peices of stack stone ( over $800). I later realized that we purchased double what we needed. I called the Floor Factory on Wednesday, the day they pick up the materials from the manufacturer. Randy hustled a call for me and was able to cut our order down to 48 peices. We got the correct amount of stone that we needed and a refund. The Floor Factory really did us a solid and didn’t stick us with all that extra stone. The really went the extra mile to make my mistake right. Thank you to the Floor Factory!
