Great selections of product and they do a true match of foundation before you leave. When looking for a foundation go there. I bought Fenty which was the brand I was searching for. They didnt have my choice because it was discontinued along with shades close to what I was looking for. That is an issue I will raise with Fenty. Wonder if Rhianna is aware. Hummmmm

The staff is always very helpful & always offer to help me find what Im looking for! :) Reagan helped me pick out a new lipstick color when the one I needed was out of stock! I would have never expected to write a review for a womens cosmetic store, but yet I am. Although Sephora is 99% womens cosmetics and beauty supplies there is a mens component that probably few know about.Located in the Lynnhaven Mall inside of JC Pennys. The mall itself has come along way over the past few years. However, our family rarely if ever shops Pennys. The store is up front and I doubt you could miss its brightly displayed signage.My wife browsed the store and I reluctantly tagged along. I found the store neat in appearance. The sales clerk pointed out the mens cologne selection. Not big mind you, but around two to three shelves as I recall. They had samplers out during the holiday.I typically do not where cologne since my wife is allergic to many fragrances. After trying Spice Bomb by Viktor & Rolfe I was blown away. The bottle looks like a grenade which was darn cool too! The price tag steep at around $75. I decided to use a coupon my wife had and purchased for a holiday gift for a friend. That got the price down 20%.Checkout was efficient with Tracey. This review is from a male perspective, I understand this review applies to a smaller demographic than would typically shop Sephora. I would return and my wife has shopped them a few times and is a semi regular.

My maskne is at an all time high and I was looking for a niacinamide product that they no longer carry in stores. The sweet lil lady with a short pixie cut ordered the inkey list serum for me and sent it straight to my house. Such a helpful and lovely lil human. Thank you so much 💜

I was very disappointed on my visit on Friday8/28 I asked a salesperson about a lipstick which was on sale my favorite by Rihanna. I had a mask on and so did she, this sales person gave me aVery unpleasant look like I was going to give herthe virus I said to her we both wearing a mask. Needless she never looked for the product for me. I will go to the city over she made me like my money was no GOOD in this store. Will NeverShop there again and neither will my family and friends. Lost a good customer being a “Karen”.

I love this store! This one and the one in Norfolk inside the MacArthur Mall are a decent size and the staff is very knowledgeable. I would love to mention that Haley from the Lynnhaven store is great and always willing to recommend new products for my skin type and Valeria from the Norfolk store is a make up muse and very kind!Thank you all!

Kinda dissapointed, i went today to spend $127.00 in the new Armani perfume My Way and i was told that the mask i wear was not a mask and they refuse to let me in, i dont recommend this place also, i have a memebership which im cancelling today, instead i went to Macys and i bought the perfume from there with no issues. THANKS MACYS.

Customer service is beyond excellence. They greet you as soon as you come in the door. Everyone is fully knowledgeable on all the products in the store. If you cant find what youre looking for they check other stores nearby or she if can be ordered.

They never have what I need in stock. It is very nice that they do give you samples in the meantime or to try it out. The customer service people on the floor are too much.. I got asked wayyyy to much..” are you doing OK”over and over and over it gets really annoying I spend more money when I don’t have somebody chirping in my ear every two seconds.

I have to say that this is the nicest Sephora Ive ever been to. I was surprised to see seniors as consultants, and I was even more surprised by how knowledgeable they are! They helped me pick stuff, even though I did not ask for help, their products they suggested to me are incredible. So happy Ive been exposed to them thank to these amazing consultants at this Sephora. Huge shoutout to you guys! To be honest this was probably my best experience in Sephora (and I do spend at Sephora quite a lot of time ;) usually I buy goods via their app, such a pity I dont live in that area, otherwise Id shop only in that store ❤️

I came in an asked to get matched for the fenty foundation. I began making conversation with the woman who was helping me, who then proceeded to complain about matching me and bully me for my complexion. I’ve never experienced something so embarrassing and hurtful when shopping. I still bought the foundation, which (no surprise) is the wrong shade for me. thanks a lot!

I usually have a great experience here. Tried to return an item in my VIP rouge acct to find out the cashier at Mcarthur didnt scan my card!! They wouldnt return and gave me 800# to call to get fixed. Just to call 800# for them to tell me the same thing!! Ive spent hundreds of dollars in here on product and the mistake of a cashier inconveniences and embarrasses me!! Ladies keep and check your receipts! Cant depend on a cashier to simply scan your card to keep record of transactions. But they surely remembered to scan my credit card to get their money!!!

Okay store, however I like to shop alone and without employees bombarding me. The sales associates here make me uncomfortable. It is a known fact that Sephora treats their customers like thieves-- following you around the store and everything. They have good products, but thats about it. And given how small and cramped Sephora stores are, definitely not ideal. I quickly left without buying anything because I just felt so uncomfortable. The store inside JCPenney isnt as bad as this one.

Politely called to see if they had any available positions (I was a former cast member in another state) and the manger was extremely rude and unhelpful. If this is the kind of managing they have then I can only imagine how the rest of the staff is. My old store would NEVER speak to a potential employee or customer like this.

I asked for help a lady that said she was the manager on duty and she was not supposed to be helping people but she would help me anyways. The phone rong so I said I can wait while she go and answer it 20 mins when by and start looking for anyone to help I heard other employees walking around asking people but not once was i approached and i found the mod helping someone else....... Im highly disappointed and will shop else where i wont spend a dime in a store that treats people that way

To start off I am a VIB member at Sephora, meaning I spend quite a bit on their makeup every year because who doesnt love makeup? I went to this Sephora on 12/9/2016 and had one of the worst experiences of my life.The cashier was super nice which is why I even give it 2 stars. But I was looking at a chocolate bar palette and opened the box to look at the colors because their tester was missing. I dropped the paper out of the box, bent down to pick it up and the manager with red hair named Allison comes over and asks me if I found everything okay. She gave me a dirty look and took the palette from my hands. She told me that if I wanted to look at the colors there were testers. Then she saw the tester was missing and walked away to go get it. She even put the palette I had in my hands away. I was going to buy it until she was so rude to me! After she got the tester she placed it in front of me and said there, now you can look at the colors.She obviously thought I was trying to steal which was NOT the case. I found it very insulting and I dont appreciate it...this the the store that i frequent the most and I do not understand why she was so rude to a paying frequent customer? She was nice to every other client in the store except me. Even the cashier thought it was uncalled for.

The staff at this store is terrible. They have no manners, they were rude and disrespectful. I explained to them I wanted to different products for my daughter because we are celebrating her 15th birthday... they showed us a couple of products and they were prompt to leave us as soon as we turned around to talk about the product. The manager at the store was not professional at all, and you could not be to close to her because her breath smelled pretty bad. Unacceptable specially working with people so close.

I love this Sephora. They are amazing. I had a major breakout from a Clinique allergic reaction, and I went there and they took care of me and set me up with a new skin care regimen that actually WORKS. I couldnt be happier!

As a customer you should never feel uncomfortable at a store. The first awkward experience at lynnhaven Sephora was with our cousin. She wanted to swatch a Clinique foundation, so one of the employees walked up to her and OFFERED to put the foundation all over her face. When my cousin realized it was the wrong shade she decided to leave but felt pressured to go since the lady looked so pissed off that she wasnt going to buy it. Isnt beauty all about trial and error?Then today happened. So we knew that you can get samples of products if you ask, but today there was a big bin filled with the plastic sample jars and spatulas out in the open for any customer to grab right next to the makeup up remover and tissues. We were confused and thought they changed the rules and we can get our own samples now. My cousin and I got our own, but when my sister was in the middle of scooping one of the tester eye cream she got caught by an employee. The employee told us it was there job to get us samples and just snatched the eye cream away and left. If its her job and she saw my sister wanting to try it, she shouldve been nice and get the sample for her! Thats customer service. Soon after, she was literally hovering like a vulture with one of her coworkers bad mouthing us no doubt because her coworker walked up to us to check on us. Probably making sure that were not stealing even though it was a mistake.What makes things worse is that my cousin told me that last time she was at Sephora an older customer who just got her makeup done was walking out and accidentally dropped her bag. Four or five TRY ME products fell out of her bag and the workers there just let her have it and told her to have a good day. And they got mad at us for taking a small sample of a sample? Go to Sephora at mcarthur mall Norfolk. The customer service is much better. It feels like the employees actually want to help you.

A group of my friends and I were checking VA Beach out, just trying to see what there was other than the beach & the strip. We came across Lynnhaven Mall. We walked in through JC Penney & walked through the Sephora in there first & the employees were definitely nice in there. Then, we went to the Sephora in the mall. We get in there & were looking around & notice that were being watched/followed by a younger woman with pink/purple hair. If we went to the back of the store, she followed. My friend was looking at a foundation (AT THE TRY ME) & she came up to us and said Heres a basket for that, basically implying that he wasnt gonna walk out without paying for it. No one had intentions on stealing anything. We came for vacation & to have a good time & got racially profiled. She (the same woman) was also talking to another employee that was also in the store at the time & I read her lips. She said. there are 4 of them & theyre all watching me stare at them. Next thing we know, the other lady walks around and stands there, prentending to be doing something (ALSO watching/following us). At this point, we were all very uncomfortable, so we go to leave. And out of the store window, she gives us all this hateful, digusted look, laughs & goes back to working.

One of the WORST experiences I have ever had in a cosmetic store! First off, I am in dire need of an overhaul- foundation, concealer, blush, liner, mascara, etc. I usually purchase my cosmetics from a department store but really wanted to try Sephora out because my sisters both love the products, selection etc. So today, when I went in, there were 4 sales ladies and several customers. I was not greeted, and totally ignored, while I struggled to find the right color of foundation in the Clinique section- the 2 employees were too interested in primping their own faces and putting on extra blush that they totally made themselves unavailable to assist me. I was there for over 15 minutes, with product on my hand and wrist and had a couple boxes in my hand that I was blindly debating over. I was so frustrated I left the store and went to Dillards. I eventually came back, hoping to give the ladies and the store a second chance. Once again, I walked right in to Sephora and was totally ignored. The employee with gobs of makeup on, walked by me and put a product on the shelf and continued back to the mirror with the other 3 employees, discussing products that they were wearing. I left empty handed and vow to not give this establishment my business.

We had the best experience! Originally I had an appointment for myself and my sister went to ulta. We were getting our makeup done for prom. Well ulta completely ruined her makeup. I showed my artist Lindsey and she said to bring her over to do a free eye makeup thing for 15 minutes. After they realized how upset my sister was they allowed for her to do the whole makeover. This really brightned my sisters day. Both of our makeovers look extremely great. I will definitely come back.

Im very upset that I spend $2000+ a year at Sephora and I made an appointment for a 45 minute makeover, and I have a certificate I got for being VIB Rouge that states I can bring a friend for one as well. I put that in the notes of my appointment when I set it online because it would not let me schedule her a separate one, and I was trying to surprise her. Well dont you know they couldnt do hers, so I just cancelled mine. I will. It spend my money at this location or probably any Sephora for a very long time after this. Its not beneficial when I cant even utilize my benefits!!!

Ive been shopping here for years & seriously the svc at this location continues to surprise me. the staff is extremely knowledgeable plus they remember your face and welcome you back everytime. their esthetician is amazing and i also LOVE NICK- hes so engaging & charming. ive NEVER had a bad experience here and because of that i tend to only hit the MAC counter maybe once or twice a year to get brushes or a particular product i like. while ive have had a few good encounters, the svc at MAC is consistently mediocre and the wait to purchase a product that you already know want can be ridiculous. in the words of 2chainz.. when i die bury me in the sephora store. ;)
