I have great experience while shopping at Ethan Allen. Michael was very helpful in showing me all the options and help me to choose the fabric for my curtain treatment, sofa, chairs.., I bought most everything from them. I am very happy with Michael. Ethan Allen is the best of the best. They have a beautiful section of quality furniture. I would highly recommend.

I engaged with Julie at the Ethan Allen store. She asked me what I wanted and she showed me several different sofas and gave me an overview of each one. We discussed fabrics, pillows, and frames. After hearing about each of these items I picked the sofa and loveseat of my choice with a beautiful fabric. I later purchased a chair and ottoman from the same collection. It took awhile to get my choices but it certainly was worth it. They are just stunning. I will be doing more business with Ethan Allen.

Ethan Allen designers are always helpful and their furniture is great quality. Weve had pieces in our home for a long time, some purchased ourselves and some passed down, and theyve always been excellent. We love our new bed.

Especially during such trying times, all went well and we are delighted with our new living room & dining room furniture. I purchased a sofa from Ethan Allen in Virginia Beach several years ago. After a couple of years the sofa started to look like there was a problem with a bulge in the frame work. I contacted the Virginia Beach store for Ethan Allan and spoke to the store manager Michael Francis. He immediately jumped into action and within a short time, sent a repair person to our home. Chris, the repair person, was wonderful, very professional, and within several hours had the sofa looking like new. I highly recommend Ethan Allen and especially the Virginia Beach store for all your design needs. You will never regret your purchases!

Be prepared to be patient but extremely happy! We received great design advice and were happy with all the fabrics and finishes to choose from. Manufacturing and delivery did take awhile, but hey, they are handmaking furniture for YOU. We are thrilled with the look of our two rooms and love the way the furniture feels!

I am sure service might be great if you could get into store. I have been there twice and both times were closed. First time understood. Clised on Mondays. Then I came on Tuesdsy you were closed. Random days open makes it hard to buy furniture from you

Beautiful, durable furniture is still available, via ordering through Ethan Allen. My comfy recliner was delivered by good folks who observed all the viral protocols of masks, distancing, and now, of course, theres no physical handling of papers - all meant to avoid contagious transmission to or from. I had multiple calls from an E.A. rep, to make sure the process went smoothly, and the furniture was what I wanted. Thanks Ethan Allen, and staff, for another way to deal with the restrictions of sequestration, and staying home. Good job, and a nice piece of forever furniture!

I hate doing this, but am fed up. It’s not necessarily this location’s store, but the company in general. We bought the retreat sectional sofa about two years ago and paid over $7000 for it. Unfortunately the cushions have held up horribly. The sales woman that sold this couch to us specifically had us sit on different cushions and we wanted the firmest option. We were told that we bought the firmest option. Apparently these are not, they are only poor quality foam with no springs . They replaced the back cushions about a year ago, and when I contacted them about the seats being so flat they completely flatten when sat on I was told that they were ordered for us. Then Covid happened and I didn’t hear for a couple of months but I figured they weren’t doing in-house deliveries. But when I reached out again I was told that the person that ordered the cushions was furloughed and that there was no record of an order placed. And that they won’t honor it. I have now been waiting for a callback from a regional Manager since May. It is now October. I have called or emailed every single week and told that I will be contacted by the end of the week and it never happens. Ethan Allen does not stand behind their product and even worse won’t even contact me to hear what I have to say to make it right. I have email proof of all of this. Proof from the employee saying the replacement cushions have been ordered, proof of two different employees stating they are the firmest option, and proof that I have indeed been waiting 6 MONTHS for a PHONE CALL. I’m clearly being ignored in hopes I will go away, so I’m turning to this review and hope to warn others about spending their money here. Will update if I ever hear back.***UPDATE- Never heard back.

We had an amazing experience with Andrea Mantel and Michael Francis. Andrea’s eye for design is impeccable. She spent countless hours working with us to design our new family room and provided multiple options for us to consider. Shopping at Ethan Allen has always been a positive experience for us as their furniture is top notch and their customer service is amazing!! Our furniture arrived in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Michael Francis and Andrea Mantel came out for the delivery and ensured they followed all social distancing guidelines and made sure our new furniture was set up according to Andrea’s vision. Additionally, Michael went above and beyond by opening up the Design Center on several occasions for us to look at additional items to complete the design of our new home and provide design consultation. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing our experience has been at Ethan Allen and with Andrea and Michael.

Ethan Allen is a guilty pleasure of mine. I admit I spent wayyyy too much money here decorating my new home when we finished building it but there is something about having a design meeting with your specialist, who measured your home and space, and picking everything out up to the colors of the legs on your couch and the texture of the fabric youll get on it.I even customized the fabric so it would be easy to clean and harder to stain so when my bulldog rubs his face on it he wont ruin it (linen?! No).I liked the other larger three-story location at Virginia Beach Town Center but this spot is much smaller and open. Its still full of beautiful displays of their signature pieces and the staff are friendly and helpful. They still have the customization sections for blinds, furniture, and curtains.Beautiful and quality furniture to be found here - custom items take about 10-12 weeks to arrive so prepare to be patient. Its not cheap, but its beautiful and I love all of my pieces. The craftsmanship is amazing.

Michael was amazing. He worked with my wife and her mother for hours to make sure that she found the perfect patterns and colors for our bedroom. He even came to our new house to measure everything. He is first class and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to make their home beautiful.

Michael listened to me what I wanted for a couch, even though I didnt know what I exactly wanted. He was patient to work with me and I ended up getting a great couch which I am loving. I only gave 4 stars since the warehouse didnt realize the swatch I wanted wasnt in stock so I had to wait 3 months to get my accent pillow.

Staff was friendly and design help was amazing.I have pieces of Ethan Allen furniture from my Mother-in-law which are the same age as me. Many Navy moves did not break them!So now I am purchasing pieces to pass down to my daughter.

Michael and Deborah came up with a plan that we loved. They are friendly, attentive, and informative. My husband and I decided it was time to upgrade our home of 35 years. Our kids have grown up and it is just the two of us now. Naturally, it was the perfect time for a change. From the get go, Tannie was attentive to our needs and made me step out of my comfort zone. I trusted every suggestion she made and I am so glad I let her guide us on this upgrade journey. As most of us know, the process of upgrading can be extremely stressful. Tannie made it fun and easy for us. She went above and beyond. She truly has the best intentions and made our vision come to life. Our home looks like a brand new home. We love it!!!! And we have gotten endless compliments on it.If you are looking for a designer, we could not recommend Tannie Herbertson enough. She is passionate about her work and we can see and feel that every time we are in our home.

My experience was exemplary .... Ethan Allen even delivered when they said they would !!

I was disappointed that a design consultant was not present at the delivery of my china cabinet like she was at the delivery of my dining room table and chairs. Perhaps I misunderstood the personalized design services aspect when I purchased my dining room set. I expected better given the large expense (5-figures). My husband and I are not interior design experts and could not direct the placement of the piece like the sales consultant did during the previous delivery. The china cabinet is extremely heavy so I anticipate its present placement as permanent. The movers did their best to offer recommendations, but I am dissatisfied with the sales staff.

We purchased two couches from Ethan Allen, and could not be happier. They are built extremely well and are very comfortable. Lisa was the rep that we worked with and she offered great advice. We will definitely be purchasing more furniture from Ethan Allen and Lisa in the future.

The showroom is so beautifully displayed and our designer Tannie was FABULOUS and so knowledgable!! She helped guide us with everything purchase to ensure the perfect look!! I had a great experience purchasing furnishings for my new home from Ethan Allen. I bought a rug, chairs, table for the foyer, a chandelier and a coffee table. The quality of each of the pieces is excellent. I worked with Tannie Herbertson, who is an exceptional designer - very creative and artistic. I was extremely happy with the results.

There was a problem with the fabric we selected. Our designer at the Hilltop, Virginia Beach store (Lisa Herbert), immediately addressed the issue, found new fabric, got it ordered & delivered to the store where the curtains are sewn without us losing our original delivery date.The sheers are perfect ……. great job Lisa and Ethan Allen.

My wife and I have been so pleased with our experience with Ethan Allen and especially Design Consultant, Tanni Herbertson. We needed a lot of guidance on furniture for our new home. Tanni was very patient with our questions and has such a great eye. Tanni respected our budget and spent so much time with us. We appreciate her so much.

My wife said something I never wanted to hear,” honey - I want to get new furniture.” The panic set in that I knew we were about to spend thousands of dollars.After dodging the trip for days, she finally got me in to Ethan Allen at Hilltop. We were greeted right away by JoAnne who was eager to assist us. I mentioned that we saw options and wanted to look, but didn’t plan on buying that day...I’m in sales and didn’t wanted to waste any time.Instead of walking away, JoAnna enthusiastically got her computer out and pulled up what we saw prior and offered like options that matched. We selected a few options and she mentioned coming to the house to take measurements to make sure everything would fit, plus offer suggestions.Again, I mentioned we didn’t want to commit to buying and didn’t want her to spend time coming out, potentially missing another customer sales. She insisted and we scheduled a day and time.JoAnne was on time, professional, complimented my house and was able to get what she need in under 30 minutes. That night, we had a layout and plan. We responded we would see here when we were ready.A couple weeks later, she followed up with a Christmas card and a call and we came back in. She had everything ready and there was no way I could back out, because my wife insisted and also because JoAnna was so great. She made the process easy, professional and kinda - fun!Highly recommend Ethan Allen and JoAnne at Hilltop. Couldn’t have asked for a better sales person and nice, quality furniture that will last a lifetime. I hope she is there when we are ready to purchase additional pieces. Thanks!!
