Had to get a new battery for my 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650. Normally I opt for Amazon, but in this case the prices were a bit on the high side and wouldn’t get here soon enough.Called up these folks and they were very helpful with letting me know that they had a replacement there. Stopped by half an hour later and walked out with a battery with a one-year warranty!And as an added bonus, they’ll take your old batteries for recycling—turned mine in on the spot.Awesome service, great prices.

The good news was I got a good battery, for less than expected, and it was in stock. Customer service was satisfactory however, the new battery wasnt fully installed. It was placed back into the the compartment on top of the mounting brackets. I got home to find a loose battery held in place only by gravity and the two poorly connected leads which couldve been damaged over time as the loose battery shifted around while driving. Luckily I had a few tools and was able to correctly install it at home. Overall, I recommend this place for batteries but not maintenance.

Some Battery Plus stores have amiable service personnel, but other stores leave me with the desire of never returning and the Virginia Beach, VA store is one of these bad stores. First off, the person answering the phone was impolite and rude and all I asked for was for a battery availability. After the phone experience I didnt want to go to this particular store, but it was the only store in the local area that had the battery I was searching for, hence, I had to present myself to this already disgusting store. Upon my arrival at the store the same rude person that answered the phone was at the cash register and the impoliteness continued but somewhat toned down. Nonetheless, still unacceptable for a person whose job is to serve potential clients. It may have been that the employee was having a bad day and was venting with a customer, however, his attitude is still unacceptable and should be fired or provided with behavioral training. Overall a bad experience at this particular store...not sure if Ill ever go back to this store.

Great service and open early.I have visited twice recently. I needed a battery for my moped, and while their website couldnt match the brand, the clerk was able to find the exact battery I needed in minutes, and they had it in stock and fully charged. It has been working great for several weeks.So when I needed a new battery for my phone, I knew where to go. Again, they had the right battery in stock despite my phone being from 3 generations ago, and had one already charged.The fact they open at 8 am is just the icing on the cake, as the easiest time for my to stop there is between 8 and 9.

The clerk behind the counter was very helpful and professional. However, a delivery man in a van marked “Batteries plus Bulbs” was in and out bringing in boxes with no mask. Another employee was laughing and carrying on with the delivery employee. Suffice it to say I was not amused by the maskless man who wasn’t all that far away from customers.

Update! No one has reached out to me thus far! Its 5/20/2020I went out of my way to find a store that could program my key fob for my vehicle and found Batteries Plus Bulbs. I emailed the store manager, Derek Lewis on 5/7 for store #220 located on Virginia Beach Blvd to check the pricing of this service. I was told $60 and also advised the following directly from Derek: Your car requires a factory pin code in order to bypass the security system. We can retrieve that code but need you to here to do so. Documents needed are registration and drivers i.d. to whom the vehicle belongs to. I went to the store today 5/9 for this service to be done only to be told by the store associate that they cannot retrieve the code because their program that enables them to obtain the codes expired. I mentioned that I had been emailing the site manager about it and the store associate stated the store doesnt email... Really???? This was 20 minutes of my day wasted. How do you as a store manager not know this information about the store youre managing? Also, the store associate suggested going to the dealership for the cherry on top. Duh! I know they can do this service for me but of course you have to have an appointment! I was willing to give $60 to Batteries Plus Bulbs for this service though. First and last time ever going to this place!

I am SO VERY PLEASED with the service at this Batteries Plus Bulbs. My Dell laptop gave me messages that my battery was nearly dead and I needed a new one. I took the laptop in, and Carlos examined it and guided me in the battery ordering process, as these are not in stock, and then when it arrived, he installed it for me (whole laptop had to be opened with screwdriver and changed) and told me it would take 30-40 minutes to replace, so I shopped nearby but returned early and it was already done. He greeted me with success, opened my laptop to show me that the PC worked well now, then took time to show me the old, blistered battery which could have ignited or leaked, and gave me suggestions to avoid future issues, like not using while plugged in, using battery down to 10% before recharging, not leaving charger plugged in. He was very patient and pleasant and professional and made me feel very valued, and the price to put the new battery in was just as he promised, $40. I was extremely pleased with Carlos and his excellent customer service at BPB.

My husband loves dealing with his watch batteries here because they give him a lifetime warranty. The down side is is that it seems like whenever we go there for a battery replacement for my husbands watches (he has a lot of them) we end up having to go back another day because one of the guys takes the toolkit home with him and he just so happens to be off.

Wow. Just wow. This was my first experience with a batteries plus bulbs store and it was amazing. I placed an online order this evening (12/1) for a car battery and called to find out about installation. The lady I spoke with (God I wish I could remember her name!) was so pleasant. She asked us about the vehicle and was hoping to find another source for it not starting since it was only a 2017. Sadly it was in fact the battery and after standing in the rain to do a check on the battery she proceeded to do the install for us. In the rain. And this was all right around closing time. I hated being that customer for her, but my husband is in the Navy and had duty in the morning and needed his car working asap. This lovely lady went above and beyond customer service and Im so so thankful for her patience and kindness. If I could give her specifically a higher rating than 5 stars I would!

Horrible. This store has no inventory of the most common bulbs. The employees hate their jobs. If you ask a question, they let our a dramatic, audible sigh and then say they dont have it.

9Sep: Ask to have my Galaxy S9 screen replaced, they dont have one in stock, they will order it for me, cool. I looked at the receipt and it says black screen, I asked if it was the correct one because I have a blue phone, they said its the right one because the color refers to back screen. (Spoiler alert: not the correct color, but Im not mad. Kinda looks cooler now.) Fast forward...21Sep (almost two weeks): Call store, ask if they have my screen, they seemed a little confused, but assured me after a few mins that it would be there either Wed or Thurs.24Sep Thursday: I called, oh yeah. The screen came in yesterday. 😶 Okay, Ill come in ASAP to get it replaced.1130: Dropped off phone, will be done by 1300.1300: Complications arose... something about breaking the antenna and power receptor, we are getting parts from Chesapeake. Come back at 1530.1530: It was the wrong part, we are getting another part from Norfolk. Should be done by 1730.1730: Everything is fixed except SIM card not installed correctly... took another 30 mins.I say all this to highlight two things.One, phones may not be their forte. However, since my Galaxy was obviously the guinea pig, practice makes perfect. Go at your own risk.And two: despite the fact that they completely effed this up, they were relentless in trying to get the parts to give me my phone back whole sooner rather than later. I appreciate their effort.Update: my camera no longer works. La sigh. I really dont have the time for this lol!

I had a very good experience with replacing a lost car key fob. I ordered it on line and received a 10% discount off a price much more reasonable than what the car dealer was going to charge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It took a few tries with the initial order getting damaged in transit and the 1st key cut not working. However, staff worked hard to get very quick turnaround with replacements and to get it cut just right. I will definitely return for another key fob here if needed.

They dont care lawnmower batteries. They couldnt order it either. Pretty bad based on there name.

I purchased a deep cycle battery for my pickup camper. I have an inverter and it runs the lights and a few appliances. The whole system was not functioning properly. On my first trip the battery terminal melted. I brought the battery back to the store. I was told it could be my inverter or wiring, but they would give me a new battery. Very good customer service. I charged and hooked up the new battery. Everything worked perfectly. It was a defective battery. They exchanged the battery even though it was questionable. No hassles. Friendly. I called them too let them know the new battery is working great with no issues. It was the battery. This stores service and help in this matter was great. Thanks. Im a customer for life!

The crew here is GREAT!!!!!!!! Had my IPHONE 6 Plus fixed in under two hours for the best price hands down. My 8 Plus was cracked took it to Sprint in which they said it couldnt be repaired pay 275 (insurance) then Apple charged 179.00 these guys fixed my phone with no complaints problems or concerns at a fair price in under two hours. Hands down the best repair services in Virginia Beach area. Customer Service on point.

Wow! Very impressive service! Didnt expect that.Went in to Virginia Beach BLVD location to price a car battery. The price was reasonable, but what impressed me was the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. I only went in to price a battery, but Patricks knowledge and professionalism convinced me to give Battery Plus a try. I was in and out of the store in 15 minutes with a new car battery that was professionally installed. Battery Plus even uses a memory saver while your battery is being installed so you dont lose all your car settings. Wow! I didnt expect that...Very impressive service!! I needed some quick help during a break and they went above and beyond to assist. I wasnt aware they physically replace car batteries for you with purchase, as part of their service. My set up was not exactly the easiest, but Patrick happily took it on, and with the quickness at that. A pleasure dealing with Patrick specifically, and the rest seemed like a friendly bunch of folks too. Highly recommended!

A couple weeks ago I started having issue plugging in my charger to my phone. I contacted Verizon because of the issue and was told it looked like corrosion in the port which seemed odd since it happened suddenly. They advised that I bring it in to a Verizon store to check which didnt help me. I brought my phone into Batteries Plus Bulbs and the gentleman was very helpful and informative. He found the culprit and pulled out a small piece of what looked like plastic.

I purchased 3 batteries for my key fob a few years back, but all three stopped working after 2 months. I dont know if it was just a bad lot they had, but I ended up going to my car dealer to get new ones, and will continue to do so. Folks are giving this business good reviews, so maybe this was a rare occurrence.

Saved my daughter when she lost her car key. We were able to get one made here for about $50 bucks less than the dealership. Polite, helpful service.

Since my battery was replaced I have not made it through to dinnertime without having to stop and charge my phone.

I took in an unusable phone. 20 minutes later, I walked out with a phone that functioned as if nothing had ever happened. Looked exactly as it had before it got run over that day, too. I definitely could not have replaced the phone for less $ or hassle.

Needed a new battery for my 96 Harley sportster and found batteries plus had a good price and extra incentive to buy from them is I could buy online and save $10 and pick up in store instead of having to wait for one to be shipped. Picked up same day and I didn’t have to add the acid myself. Was already to go. Installed and cranked right on up. Good deal good service all around

Good service but... they messed my phone up more after they “fixed it”. I had gone in for a replacement on my charging port. They replaced it and then when I get my phone back it’s ghost clicking, the speakers no longer work, the microphone is also not working. So they fixed one problem just fine but gave me three new ones that they can’t fix.

Helpful..did not have 2 incandescent bulbs I was looking for..Told me they are harder to find since they are being phased out ...A tad pricey but they give you one on one service that you dont get at ANY other place ..

I needed to get some batteries and LED bulbs and one of the batteries was to a cordless landline phone. They were the closest store that had the battery size I needed. They were very helpful and accommodating as they looked up the size battery for the phone prior to me coming in. When I got there they have the battery at the counter waiting for me. I was quite impressed. In general the prices are not bad, and you can find many unusual size batteries there. They even have batteries for motorized scooters and wheelchairs! The prices for their LED bulbs are not too bad at all. Would definitely patronize the store again!
