This is by far the best dealership I have ever been to. They have taken care of me for the past 2 cars Ive bought with them and have bent over backwards to help me get in whatever it was that I wanted . Jeff zulli is the man ! I recently purchased a new to me car from Charles Barker Maserati of Virginia Beach. Ive purchased quite a few cars from several places around Hampton Roads and not one has been as simple, straightforward and seamless as Charles Barker. Matt Richardson did a fantastic job scheduling and showing the car. He was very accommodating, not pushy and patient. I feel he did a great job working with me and making this purchase easy and simple. He listened to what we had to say and had no problems relaying that information on our behalf until we came to a reasonable deal.Further, when Ive purchased cars previously in this area its always been an all day endeavor. We came prepared with our coffees in hand ready to be there from 9 to 5, on our day off, haggling, doing paperwork and saying NO to extra add-ons from pushy sales/after-sales managers. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE HERE. We arrived at 9:30 and were out before 12! From test drive, to financing, to keys in hand, with a trade! Told them exactly what I wanted and did not want and they delivered. I hadnt purchased a car in a while and honestly I wasnt looking forward to it. Really, I saw a red mustang I really liked while driving down va beach boulevard on several occasions. I decided to stop by and get more information. I went inside and I was greeted by Wendell Nicholes. Mr. Nicholes was super professional but never made me feel like he was desperate to sell me anything. The car really intrigued me so I set up an appointment for a test drive. I came back and took it for a spin, even though I really liked it I wasnt sure if I was going to get it. Honestly, it was my treatment and overall conversations with Wendell that made me go forward. Whether he was doing his job or just being him he came off as genuine. We discussed things that had nothing to do with the car. He made that experience much better than i anticipated. Im having so much fun driving my mustang and so far it seems like a really good car.

We purchased a vehicle from out of state in May. It is now July and the dealer still has not registered our car. When purchasing the vehicle I have experience registering vehicles in the state of MA every day. When I told MATT our sales person that his tax calculations were wrong he said they were not and insisted that his figures were correct instead of doing the extra leg work of researching it. When I called to follow up on the registration a month later they advised that the wrong amount was collected (as I told him) and wanted us to pay another 3k. The dealer did NOTHING to cover their employees mistake. They also sent the pay off check to the wrong address which was a Maserati mind you and they are a Maserati dealer so one would think theyd know the address to send the check to. I would not recommend this dealer. They did a bait and switch to make us buy a vehicle that we are now stuck with and have a higher payment due to their lack of knowledge and acceptance of their error

For me, major purchases require calculated thought. As a consumer I look at all aspects involved. A large part of the decision making process is based upon not only the vehicle, but those in which I choose to do business with. All aspects of of a business are broken down into subsets. My husband and I purchased a BMW 640i after searching around the country. Lucky for us we ran into a salesmen named Glenn. We live in Florida and did everything over the phone. Glenn was amazing every single step of the way, he was honest, fun, and transparent. The car arrived on a truck after 3 days and the vehicle was in 200% perfect condition. I flew in from out of state to purchased a vehicle from the dealership. The customer service negotiations were fine; however, one thing i didn’t like was that the sales person told me that I had to pay registration and title cost, etc to the dealership in order to purchase the vehicle. I was also told this was the law. After during some research, I found out that this was not mandated by the law. I ended up paying the dealership for registration of the vehicle because I thought it was priced fairly.I bought the vehicle in July of 2020. I have contacted my local DMV, in which, they haven’t received anything concerning my vehicle or registration. In addition to this; my temporary tag has expired. I’ve been requesting a new temporary tag for 2 weeks now, in which, I have still not received a new temporary tag. I have spoke to the sales person who sold me the vehicle. However, communication has been horrible. For instance, I once again (for the 4th time) requested a new temporary tag from the salesman. He informed me that he would talk to his boss about sending me a new temporary tag. I have not heard back since.I have spent the past week trying to get in contact with somebody regarding my situation; however, it is very difficult if not impossible to get in contact with anyone. I have left voice messages with multiple employees and I still have not heard back. My temporary tag has been expired for a week now and I feel as though this dealership does not give a care. It’s sad that they aren’t even pretending to care about my situation.So far, this has been the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing a vehicle. They are on point and have great communication skills when you are in the process of purchasing a vehicle. However, good luck with getting help after the vehicle is sold. And if your temporary tag expire or has expired; I wish you the best of luck.

Neither vehicle had exactly what we were looking for. I described what I would really like in a SUV to Matt Richardson. He directed us to a preowned SUV we hadnt considered. On Friday, May 8th I purchased a used Audi S7 from this dealership, and it was the most painless car-buying process I had ever experienced. I found the car on Autotrader after spending weeks checking for a car that was equipped the way I wanted. I saw the listing as soon as it was posted and immediately contacted the dealer.Over about a week, I corresponded with Matt Richardson, a salesman at Maserati of VA Beach. He provided photos, a price for my trade, and an out the door total. Once everything was settled, I got in the car and drove to VA Beach. When I arrived at the dealer, my new car was waiting for me outside the front door. I gave it a quick test drive, then walked in to fill out paperwork. The latter process took 10 minutes. It was astounding.I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for excellent customer service, and of course, a stellar selection of vehicles. Five stars is not enough.

This place is a joke. Test drove a Camaro convertible and called to make an appointment to negotiate a price. The salesman texted to confirm the appointment. He even sent the car into his shop to clean it up and sent me pics of the cleaned up car an hour before our appointment. On the way to the dealership was sent a text that the car had been sold. CAR HAD TO HAVE 10,000$ IN REPAIRSSold me a used car that had 1 cylinder with a compression leak. Which was quoted for 10,000$ FOR A REBUILT MOTOR and found out the car had been sold to me with a full CAT and EGR delete (emission control parts were removed) which is ILLEGAL and they PASSED it for state emissions inspection that was conducted by them. The delete makes the vehicle worth nothing in trade value. BUYERS BEWARE. These people will try to sell you bad cars and are willing to falsify inspections to make a sale. IF you do buy used from them please have it inspected before you make the purchase.

A company that permits employees to retain private licensure information without proper disposal. A company that allows the creation of fake check stubs to ensure people get approved for car loans. A data breach on behalf of Charles Barker that has occurred on a repeated basis by a particular employee without consequence or reprimand. The industry should not be stained with a burdensome reputation like this one. It is imperative that Charles Barker address these issues accordingly.

I had an appointment with a sales person named Matt to look at a used Mustang, and when I got there to look at the car not only was I informed the at Matt had gone home, but also that he had already sold the Mustang that I had made an appointment with him to look at. I dont blame home for selling the Mustang to someone else who was able to get there before me, but I do think. he should have had the decency to give me a courtesy call the let me know that he sold the car that I was interested in and had made an appointment with him to see. I wasted my time and gas to go out there for nothing ! Buyer beware! I was very close to purchasing a used car from this dealership online. I did a virtual tour and they tried to hide the warning lights that came on when the car started up. Additionally they will try to jam you with fees on the invoice over and above what you have negotiated. Buy somewhere else, you will thank yourself later!

The only reason why I am writing a second review is b/c of the mockery of the sales manager to leave a post to my prior review.To set the record - I called and spoke with the individual prior to leaving the review on here. THERE WAS NOTHING OFFERED BUT A I WISH YOU THE BEST. His response on here is merely a PR stunt to seem to offer an extending hand. I mean we already spoke to discuss what you CANT do. Why follow up and post like you actually want to help?They say they made the deal work to get the car out, but why sell a car and not be forthright with all of its issues? Ohh I dont know, maybe because it was sitting on the lot for 5 months. Then act like nothing was wrong. Its just sad that people can even do business like this.

My wife and I wanted to sell our late model truck. We considered going the Craigslist and AutoTrader route, but Matt and his team gave us a very fair offer on our vehicle (significantly higher than other dealerships). Of course, it was less than we could have gotten if we sold it privately, but we really didnt want to deal with the hassle. The process was quick and simple, and based on our experience we will likely go back to this dealership when it is time for us to buy another vehicle.

I bought my very first car from this place and my experience was amazing. I went up to the dealership alone at 20 years of age with no clue on how to purchase a car and without any knowledge of what type of questions I should ask before finalizing everything. My consultant was Sam and he was very informative, friendly, and made my experience so comfortable and peaceful. Despite me not asking questions Sam made sure I knew EVERYTHING about my car and steps i should take after buying a car. Everything was hassle free and there was no pressure at all. In the end I walked out in a 2016 Chevy malibu with only 23K miles on it for a GREAT price. My experience so amazing and I recommend this place to anyone who wants their car buying process to be as wonderful as mine was. I also want to thank Sam for everything because this was a major milestone for me and he made it so rememberable.

Horrible horrible expierence. Shady sells people. Dealership falsely put a temporary tag in my name and then drove it through tolls. Stay away. When the dealership saw this review they contacted me immediately and took it very serious. They fixed the issue immediately. Its good to know they reed these reviews and take them serious. Im happy they worked with me to make things right.

I just purchased a 2015 Dodge challenger, and let me just say I know its not a $60k Maserati but because its Charles Barker Maserati I thought the dealership would have so much more class... now I cant speak on other dealerships but dealing with this one Ive had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had purchasing a vehicle...David was great in the beginning he agreed to have the shop address some body damage issues we had found on further inspection .. needless to say after signing for the car and my first payment just 5 days away Ive been in 3 different loaner cars. It started with keeping my suburban because the car wasnt inspected so I kept my truck until it was inspected after inspection they called me and said it was done.... I get there, and David says well it wasnt detailed so if you can bring it back and we will detail it and address the 3 body issues.They gave me a loaner#1, they called and said it was done... again no detailing and only one dent fixed.... I call back to schedule it to be dropped off and I was told to drop it off wednesday the 3rd of July they gave me another loner #2 on the 15th of July I talked to David through text he said @130 he was going back to check on my car as we speak and he would let me know... I got out of my doc. Apt @245 and still no word i went to the dealership and he was nowhere to be found come to find out he wasnt there he was never there,he wasnt due to be into work until 5pm that afternoon so he lied to me about being there... they brought my car around and STILL no detailing, the dents were still there nothing had been done, there was so much excessive damage done to the car, scratches everywhere, hood,fender,bumper, someone had been so careless to spill clear coat or glue on my car,again its not a Benz or a Maserati but damn!!! treat my car with some respect I left the car yet again and again another loaner #3..... I called corporate and talked to the vice president he got the ball rolling and they finally got it done.... so I went to pick it up today the 18th of July and as soon as I get there after all of the in convenience after all the time I spent in theyre loaners and being without my vehicle because they couldnt get s#!+ done right the first time...youd think they would at least have the decency to fill my gas tank.... nope!!!! Nothing... so since they rely on customer reviews I hope this review puts it in perspective for some people... that no matter what dealership you go to.. do NOT in any way have any kind of expectations when it comes to quality names...Maserati is a brand of car it does not care who sells it joe schmoe from down the block can sell you one and treat you better then these people.... and youd probably get it for a better price too

I pre-shopped for my 80 year old father here when noticing a incredibly nice and clean looking car for him. He lives 150 miles miles away and needed a car to replace his now recalled VW Passat that Volkswagen bought back. The salesman promised to take care of my dad.Long story short, my dad came and test drove the car with a friend and noticed a distinct clank in or near the rear bumper. The dealership hearing the loud noise, attempted to fix the sound. After the second test drive, it was still there. My dad really liked the car and offered to buy it in cash for what they wanted for it. The only stipulation was to fix the sound.The salesman later told my dad (in his words) that it wasnt worth it for the dealership to fix it. That they were not interested in fixing it, they preferred to just sell it outright with the noise.Knowing how far he came to buy the car at asking price was I believe dishonest if they did not plan on fixing the car before they sold it. He traveled so far for nothing. My dad eventually found a great car at a dealership that was willing to stand behind their vehicle.

Bought a used van here. Ray the sales person was great. He let us drive the vehicle. But when it came time for servicing the van, we got the run around. “Scheduled” a cleaning and requested the tires be aligned. When the day came, we received a call from 30 mins before our “scheduled” drop off to let us know that there’s only one mechanic on duty. And then the second “scheduled” appointment we dropped off the vehicle and nothing was done after six hours at the shop. So over all, great customer service on the sales part and horrible experience with the mechanic/shop area. I would advice you not to get any work at this shop.

This people absolutely do not care about the customers. I had to buy my maserati from a different dealer ( whole different story), so I went to the store to inquire a bout extended warranty. The place was a ghost town after I circled around i found like 3 of them in the break room. I looked in there, they stopped chewing just enough to look at me then they went back to eating. So I caught a guy behind a cubicle and he referred me to Lance.
