One of the best breakfast places in Gatlinburg! They do tend to have a queue so either start your day early with a 7 am breakfast or come back closer to noon for brunch (unless youre okay waiting). When something as simple as a cheese omelette is made well, you know the food is gonna be good. The pancakes were fulfilling along with the hashbrowns. Sweet tea with refills available! Service was friendly and efficient. I appreciated their billing system where they essentially have the menu on the receipt with your items encircled. This makes it very efficient for parties with separate checks. Cozy yet open indoor seating with a happy vibe. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking lot.
Great atmosphere and even better food. The place is styled like a log cabin and has the usual mountain themed decor. The wait staff is friendly and kept the line of people waiting to get in moving as quickly as they could. We all ordered different things, but some of the standouts would be the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes and sausage in a blanket. Food is served hot, along with as much coffee as you need. We loved it.
This is a perfect place to go to for breakfast if you are in the area. The staff is very professional and friendly. We were there at 7 am when it opened and there were a lot of people waiting in line, but we were seated quickly. The service was fast and we received our food in a reasonable amount of time. Our food tasted awesome and was worth every penny. Loved the log cabin atmosphere.
I really enjoyed this place. It had a country feel and cooking to match. I had a little bit of everything to tell the truth! Eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits, grits and yes even some waffles! It was all washed down with some pretty good coffee! If you like breakfast then you must stop by. The staff was attentive to our needs. Fast, friendly and fair priced! As Always, Enjoy!
Visited while on honeymoon for breakfast & everything was delicious! Best breakfast we have ever had.. The food was top notch, we even had some leftovers with how much you get which is great. The french toast was yummy and I definitely recommend this! We would come back again because this was the best breakfast in town! If youre thinking of where to eat, this is the place.
Pretty good breakfast. Make sure to arrive early or be prepared to wait. It gets busy quick, but it worth the wait. They are good at getting people in and out so the line moves along fairly reasonably. We had Ginger as our waitress last time we were there and she was fantastic. Very friendly and pleasant.
This was by far the best place we ate out entire stay in Gatlinburg! We only wish we had found it before our last day there. But we will definitely eat there again when we are back in April!!! The staff was very friendly and very hard working. It was easy to see that! Great place!! O and those biscuits.....yum yum!! O and dont let the line keep you from eating there. I was at the very back corner and it only took me about 25 minutes to get to the door! 😁😁
Great atmosphere and lovely nod to a time long past. The waiters were friendly and very punctual with allowing enough time to peruse the menu but not wait for them to.come back around to take your order. The food came out quickly and was quite tasty. Husband had the Spicy Apple French Toast and I had eggs, bacon, grits, and biscuits. The eggs were cooked correctly and the bacon (ordered extra crispy) came out perfectly crispy without being burnt or too crunchy. The French toast was delicious on all points and Im not usually a fan of apples.
We had a party of 7 and had an amazing breakfast. I ordered the eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, while others had the blueberry pancakes and the pancakes royals which came with bananas and some cream cheese. The service was wonderful. She was super friendly and made great recommendations! Forgot to her pics of our food but got some of the menu.
Went here for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The old place is very historic and brings about the atmosphere of family and good vibes. I almost felt like I was back in my grandma kitchen. The food, of course, was delicious. I had the Cheese eggs and pancakes and couldn’t stop eating. The biscuits are big and fluffy and the coffee is piping hot. So take the whole family. You’ll enjoy. I’m sure of that!
This place is AWESOME!! I LOVE BREAKFAST BUT THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM!!! The customer service is great! They are always busy but this place knows how to handle business. Customer service, food, etc is EXCELLENT!!!!! THEY KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD. I DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK AGAIN. AND AGAIN.
I don’t like to go to the same place twice when on vacation, trying something new everyday is fun. I would of went here everyday because the food was great and this coming from a person who doesn’t like breakfast food. The place gets busy quick so I recommend getting there when it opens, the pancakes are great.
Great food, price and atmosphere. We had Cheryl as our server and she was fantastic. You need to stop by and eat here. Don’t let the line out front scare you off, it moves fast.
This is our go to restaurant when we are on vacation in Gatlinburg. We absolutely love the waitresses and waitors, the cooks, the host and hostess, even the buss boys are awesome. The menu is a down home menu for breakfast with a few lunch items as well. They usually have a buffet and salad bar, but the pandemic has stopped that for now. Youll not go in there and not have a conversation with someone that works there. Theyre all like a big, happy family who loves their job and loves seeing their customers happy, and if you leave hungry, theres something wrong with you because the portions on their plates are so big... I cant say enough good stuff about the Log Cabin Pancake House. We love it!!!
Came here for a late lunch after a hike, grateful to see it had its own parking lot so at least we didnt have to pay to park. We got immediate seating as the place was in the final hour before closing. My vegetarian husband enjoyed the vegetable omelet, it came with three pancakes so I had one of those after my bacon, turkey & cheese club sandwich which was really good and filling. Nice decor, friendly staff.
First, this place has great customer service for a very busy restaurant. My wife had the Spicy Apple French Toast and I had a simple but very tasty 3 pancakes, 2 eggs and sausage. Our food was cooked to perfection! They have a wide variety of different type of pancakes and everyone I talked too really enjoyed their food. They also offer military discount for all of my brothers and sisters. This will be the only place we eat breakfast the next time we visit Gatlinburg. Keep up the great work!!
Service was good and food was good. 4 stars because I got the spicy apple french toast and the apples and sauce seemed like it was the pie filling from a can. Pie filling taste good but not what I thought it should be on the french toast. Wife got the fried apples and thats what they should have used.
This is one of my all time favorite breakfast restaurants to eat at. I love their pecan waffles served with warm syrup. The eggs are cooked to order and perfect every time. If you love blueberries you should try their blueberry pancakes served with fresh blueberries and a thick delicious blueberry syrup, that us so good. Their menu is huge and has something for everyone. The restaurant is spotless and the waitstaff is so kind and helpful. Im sure you will love this place after your first visit.
This was our second year eating at the Log Cabin, not much has changed. They have spaced out the tables due to COVID and the food tastes the same. It was good overall, everything was fresh and service was fine. The wait time was not bad, around 25 minutes for our group of five. They are a very popular restaurant that stays busy so get there early. They were located within a short walk of our hotel - less than 5 minutes. The hours are 7-2 daily.
Not too expensive. The line was super long but absolutely was worth the wait. Definitely would eat here again. Recommend it to anyone, no matter if its a group of 10 or a single person. They will accommodate all. The pancakes were some of the best Ive ever eaten!
Seriously delicious home style breakfast. No frills, just good food. The BlackBerry crepes were amazing and the coffee cup was kept full. Definitely coming back!
After debating where to go for breakfast, I took advice from Reddit and went to Log Cabin Pancake House. We were not disappointed and we left satisfied. My dad and I had a tough time deciding what to order from the unique menu, but we ended up getting the French Toast Royale and Spiced Apple French Toast, then shared both dishes. Both meals were generous portions and arrived quickly. Service was quick and friendly.
Just your basic pancake house. Nothing special.Waited in line for 45 minutes.I got the Belgium waffle and a side order of sausage links. The middle of my waffle where they put all the cream as soggy the sausage links where just basic again nothing special, coffee was your average bingo gross coffee. All and all not worth the price, or the line to stand in.
Delicious breakfast food especially the pancakes. Great service and really nice people working there. Also the restaurant was a cool place to be inside. Lots of history in there.
This place has the best pancakes! So many different kinds of pancakes. If you don’t care for pancakes they have many other items on their menu. The line to get in was long but it moves pretty quickly. Server was very friendly. Atmosphere great. Affordable.
Stopped in for breakfast before hiking. The coffee was hot and strong! The food was great besides the eggs that were a bit watery for me. The pancakes are to die for though! The service was above and beyond. As soon as I started walking up to the register to pay, two people were already cleaning my table and getting it ready for more people!
Breakfast was sub par. I ordered a western omelette and was let down. It didnt appear appetizing and hardly had anythinf inside. The inside was watery/runny when I got inside. The has browns were smashed up, pre frozen hash brown patties. They werent shredded potatoes and obviously not made in house. You apparently cant make any substitutions as I tried to upgrade my pancakes to a special pancake but said they couldnt do it and I even offered to pay any upcharge. They apparently cant do that which seems pretty odd.I wouldnt recommend this place.
Long line at door, but it moves pretty quick. Lots of staff. Good food. Great pancakes and crepe!!!! Coffee is weak. Steer clear of lunch.
Inexpensive, delicious, and free parking! Dont be afraid when you come and the line wraps around the building. It moves quickly and we were seated within about 30 minutes. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the butterscotch chip Belgium waffle, French toast Royale, and the Hold the Pancakes Special. Everything was really good! The royale sauce on the French toast is amazing! A top pick for breakfast in Gatlinburg.
This place was amazing. Coffee was decent. Not as strong as I like, but good. I ordered the pigs in a blanket, and I must say that they were probably the best pancakes Ive ever had in my whole life. Truly amazing pancakes. My husband had the crepes and he said they were fabulous. Waitress was attentive and very friendly. Well worth the stop to eat there.
Didnt like the buttermilk pancakes. They had a weird after taste. But the sausage omelette was AMAZING! The waiter was very attentive. But I pass on the pancakes. Maybe it was a bad batch. I dont know what happened this place was great and reviews where nice. Maybe next time. I always give places 2 tries before giving up in a place.
Long line to get in, and totally worth it. Crepes were excellent and so much that I couldnt eat it all. But I tried .
Such a fantastic place for pancakes! What made our experience out of this world was our waitress, Ginger. She is truly amazing and has so much positive energy that it started our day in the best way possible.
Excellent service and food. The wait staff are very friendly and efficient! The hostess keeps things moving along like a pro. Dont let the line scare you- it moves fast. Free onsite parking.
Great food, good service. If you get an early start before 8am, usually no wait. Only thing we didnt like was the coffee. Tasted like hot water and we love most coffee brands.
Trash. Waited 45 minutes in line just to be cut by a party of 25 people. We told the hostess and she didnt see a problem. She still sat them down before us. Didnt want to make eye contact with us the rest of the time we were in line because she knew she was wrong. When we finally sat down, the food was cold, the waffle tasted stale. Really was not worth the wait. Im glad I held back and didnt do something illegal to the people that cut in line because the food wasnt worth jail time. There are better places to eat than this hole.
We were recommended here by family, this is our first time in Gatlinburg and I am so happy that we came.Ginger was our waitress and she was AMAZING. she had the best sense of urgency that I have ever seen from a waitress. All smiles as we watched her work efficiently. The Pancakes were delicious and the food came out quick especially for how busy they were. The omelets were good but a little on the small side and they dont come with hash browns for some reason. The price point was good too. Not overpriced. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely worth the wait if there is one!
Log Cabin is one of three very popular locally owned restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg that primarily focus on breakfast. Ive tried the other two, once each, and they have their appeal but I keep going back to Log Cabin, as I have for more than 20 years. The other two are on opposite ends of the Parkway. One of those does not have its own parking lot so you have to negotiate that. The other does but it can be a bit of a challenge getting in and out. So, for starters Log Cabin is up the hill on Historic Nature Trail and has a spacious parking lot. Easy in and easy out. Here are some of the things that make Log Cabin Pancake House a go-to destination. The entire staff is gracious, warm and efficient. The dining room is comfortable, clean and inviting. The atmosphere is cozy and lively. The menu features all the traditional breakfast favorites and meals are served hot and fresh and promptly. This is a fun place to have breakfast. One thing I really like is that in all these years, nothing has changed....in the good way. Same good quality of food and preparation. Same decor and every bit as clean and neat as it was years ago. If you like traditional American fare, familiar surroundings and standards that have never been compromised, this is the place for you.
Favorite breakfast place while in Gatlinburg. Very rustic and excellent food. Our party ordered a mix of pancakes, eggs and omelets. Everyone enjoyed their meal. This place does not take reservations, but the wait did not seem too long. It is pretty big in there and the line moves at a steady pace. Service was also very good. Would definitely go back if in the area.
Rundown:1. Fast and great service.2. Good food! Get the pancakes.3. Good price!4. Downside- the wait, which moves quickly.5. Downside- can be hard to find parking. The locals recommend this place.Overall- we will be back!
Food - its fine. Nothing spectacular! We stuck with their special and ordered pancakes. Service was good which is why I gave 3 stars. Why not more? For the price - it wasnt spectacular. It was average. The decor is nice. The server was wearing the mask below the nose which sort of defeats the purpose of the mask. There is zero social distancing at this location. They should have been operating at 50% and blocking every other table but all tables were open and people took off masks as soon as they reached the table so basically its a joke just wearing the mask from the door to table. We are in the middle of a pandemic, they should do better. Are they waiting for someone to fall sick before beginning to realize the importance of social distancing?Still a 3 because i have no complaints about food or service. I would recommend going for brunch. Be aware of no social distancing.
This Log Cabin Pancake House has great ambiance because of the furnishings and the fact that the beams are from 170 years ago the staff is great the food is delicious great place
Great place to have breakfast! Terrific staff with very good service. Delicious food with reasonable prices. Atmosphere and decor a plus!
Scrumptious!!! Oh my God I loved the Caribbean pancakes. Wish I was there now. Light and jus my right. We were a group of 5. Ordered the pancakes, sad salad, hash brown, cheese omelette and veggie omelette. Instead of a side of pancakes we had toast. The server was amazing too, so friendly and hospitable.Definitely a place to visit and have food there!
This place was amazing for breakfast. You could brunch here too. Food was wonderful and staff were the nicest folks youll ever meet. Would absolutely come here again.
Fantastic food. Great service. Good prices. Would certainly go back next time I am in the area.
Stopped in here on labor day weekend. Had a line out the door but still got in quickly. Food came quick and service was great. Food tasted excellent!
Out of this world breakfast. Creamy, buttery grits, all you can eat biscuits and gravy with moist, fluffy biscuits, and many specialty pancake, French toast, and crepe options. Below is the French Toast Royale (a delicious take on Bananas Foster). This place was the satisfying, delectable breakfast I was looking for. You wont be disappointed.
A well run restaurant. Get there early or expect a line, but be patient. They keep things moving. The service is great and food is too. No complaints. Theyve got it together.
The food here is delicious! I highly recommend the French Toast Royale. The staff is always friendly. If there is a line, the wait is usually less than 30 minutes. We have been to other pancake places nearby, but this one is by far the best!
Been visiting this restaurant for 45 yrs or so..love it .. always great food and wonderful service..
Dont let the long line scare you. We waited maybe 20/25 minutes in line at peak breakfast time. Very good pancakes and breakfast.
This restaurant was worth the wait on line! The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and very attentive throughout our entire meal!! I highly recommend eating here!
Gatlinburg Log Cabin Pancake house was standard fare. Apparently one of the only breakfast places to go to is you are staying in the town center. Traffic is heavy and this is a short walk so it is VERY convenient. We waited an hour on a Saturday morning to get in. Our waitress was VERY attentive. Prices a little high but thats too be expected in a little vacation town. The food was standard fare. The buscuit Gravy was bland as are most places that allow you to salt it up yourself. Overall, the same as any normally decent breakfast spot.
Always busy but they get you in real quick. Food, wait staff second to none. You owe it to yourself to eat here. You wont be sad you did
We were sat very quickly. Awesome server. Fast food delivery. I got the farmer omelet. The vegis and meat on the inside were good but the egg was thin and dry. Good thing I had hot sauce. It came with three pancakes which was cool.
I just ate the best breakfast of my life. We got chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, hash browns, coffee, and the sausage and cheese omelette which came with three buttermilk pancakes. Everything we had was phenomenal. I was apprehensive to order the omelette but it was the best omelette I ever had! Rachel was our server and despite it being super busy, our food came out in about 10 minutes and she was super sweet and very attentive (she deserves a raise)! I couldn’t recommend this place more. Will definitely be back and it is 100% worth the long wait to get in the door. The coffee was unexpectedly really great as well!
Been coming here since 1983 and as always the food and service were both outstanding
Delicious and large quantities! Im not one to wait in line for food; however this line moved quickly! Very well managed operation!
Love breakfast at the Log Cabin ! Food is delicious with generous portions. The line to get in moves very quickly as tables are being cleaned before youve gotten out the door! Highly recommended!
Lots of locals eating here, so 4 stars? Our breakfasts were only worth a 2-3. Sausage gravey was just white sauce w/o seasoning and a few chunks of broken-up sausage patty. Buckwheat pancakes had a soft, mushy inner. They were fully cooked but texture had too much wetness.
Great place for breakfast. Generous portion sizes, reasonably priced. Staff super friendly.
We ate breakfast here a couple of weeks ago. We had been on the strip the previous day and really did not want to face those crowds again. The Log Cabin Pancake House was the perfect breakfast place! We both had eggs, sausage (or bacon), pancakes and coffee. The food was served quickly, the coffee delicious and hot, and our server was delightful. It felt like a warm, cozy visit with my favorite aunt (only with better food!). Customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Dont let the long lines deter you. You wont wait long and it will definitely be worth the wait!
Long line to get in but moves quickly. Once seated service is top shelf, everything we ordered was great. Very personable staff, we needed for nothing. 5+ stars.
I had an an Omelette. Initially, I was a little disappointed by the appearance/size. Im used to omelettes being stuffed with ingredients. I forgot all about that once I started eating it. It was delicious and the perfect size. I wanted to go back and try other things but it didnt fit into our plans. My wife loved her pancakes, eggs and bacon. She is ridiculously picky about her eggs but she had no complaints. We will definitely eat there again when we are in the area.
Amazing food and a fantastic server. Robin is incredible!
I have been coming here since I was a child. The staff had always been friendly and the food has always been great.
We ate here one morning and we both didnt think much of it. I asked for blueberries to be added on my pancakes and all it was, was a handful of dry blueberries, no sauce. Most restaurants the blueberries will be in a juice sauce topped with whipped cream. I was disappointed.
