The produce is nice but the place overall it is so dirty! Flies all on the seafood, no covering, Floors and ceiling were filthy! I’m surprised the health dept hasn’t said anything. It’s convenient because they do have a a very wide selection of items, but they really need to do some serious cleaning and sanitation because it’s disgusting.

Typical Asian in that most of the stuff are imported Asian goodies. The music played is KPOP so I am guessing the owner is Korean.

I love having a international store in my neighborhood however, i am not a fan of spending my money at establishments that do not value me as a customer. I have been mistreated twice at this establishment!!! both times it was at the seafood department. The department manager is very very rude to people of color. During my most recent visit i planned on picking up some porgy fish to my suprise the fish that is normally $4.99 had a sale sign of $1.99 per pound! I was so excited so I picked up a bunch and headed to the counter to have it weighed and priced. The man helping us priced the fish at $19.96 to which i said woah that isnt right, i then showed him the sign to which he made a face and called the manager over. The manager said No! that is not the correct price and asked another employee to take the sign away. At this point I am asking the manager why would i pay the higher price when it was clearly labeled as porgy and had a price point of $1.99 . He replied $4.99 is the price and thats it, I was not only shocked and disappointed by his tone and lack of empathy but more importantly ive witnessed similar behavior from the seafood department manager in the past towards people of color. My recommendation is DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT FARMERS INTERNATIONAL!

This place is dirty, has open products on the shelf, dead flies on refrigerated items. Rude staff, the cashier closed the line when I was next. I asked if she really closed her register while I was next and she replied with an attitude. I never complain to the manager but did this time. It was useless, because the manager was just as rude and said he has limited English so I was unable to convey the problem. Im sticking with E-Mart! Apparently reading other reviews elsewhere online, this store has a habit of closing registers, even though there customers waiting. Avoid!!

This type of produce very much needed! Great meat and vegetable selection and much much more!Canned goods, do check the expiration dates lol but other than than this is as good as it gets in our area.

Very Very RODE CASHIER! Everyone doesn’t know how your store processes (seafood) work, so if don’t have the patience to be in a customer service position then find another position that can make you shine! Because today you needed the whole can of polish. 💯

Thalk about fresh veggies a variety of meats and a tone of different whole fish. You can get all kinds of spices from Spanish to Asian and middle eastern. This place has always shoppers which to me means always fresh in coming produce reasonably priced. And the fact that they have whole sheep head and pig heads makes it even better.

Great shopping but smells

I love cooking different Asian dishes, and Farmers is one of my go to places to find ingredients.There is a great selection of items, including kitchen and cookware.To me personally, the crown jewel is the drink section. There is a pretty good selection of different types of drinks, both adult and family friendly.Farmers is where I discovered my favorite sports drink (Pocari Sweat) and bottles tea (Itoen Jasmine).If youre cooking a specific meal, or just like to wander interesting stores, Farmers is a great place to go.

I often fine British snacks and candy in here! Howevee saff are never pleasant, nor do they seem to have a specific uniform so you never know who to ask for help. Atmosphere is never welcoming.

Ive shopped at this store for YEARS. I didnt mind the fact that there normally is noone around when you need help, because at this point Im familiar with the store. However the fact that I was yelled at and followed by an employee in the seafood department because he thought I was stealing even though I had a basket and my purse with me will keep me from EVER shopping here again. Not only did he refuse to tell me what his problem was while he was staring me down...he snatched my bags from me and gave 0 explanation as to why. On top of that, he was serving the public and did NOT have a mask on.The EMart right beyond Edwin Drive has MUCH better customer service and selection.

Bigger than average international market.Catering mostly to Asian tastes this market has so much to offer! While there is a large offering of typically Pacific rim produce, meats, seafood, and staples there are also many European and Middle Eastern offerings. Fresh live fish prepared for you to take home and cook. There is something for everyone here.

Nice little neighborhood market....everything from Japanese snacks to jamaican oxtail seasoning. I usually grab my frozen Japanese roasted eel from here. My favorite thing to order in sushi restaurants but way cheaper...

Farmers International Foods appears to be a very neat well-managed store. The variety is comparable to Grand Mart on Newtown Road. They even have a decent Indian foods selection, although nowhere near that of Royal Bazaar on Military Highway. And they have live fish!

It was a little dirty but ill be a goats grand ma of i didnt find everything i needed for my seafood boil. Not the most elegant place in the world but certainly affordable and a great place to shop if you are missing food from your home land and you want the ingredients to cook.

This is the spot for fresh produce and fresh meats! The prices can’t be beat. For those who say the produce is bad, depends on the day and time of day you go. Workers are always re-stocking. Definitely seen way worse at Walmart and Kroger. I got all my vegetables and some steak and ground beef for under $20... what?! For some dry goods, just check the dates. If something is expired, let an associate know. Love the feel of this market and the variety it offers.

The store itself is great and i always am able to find what i’m looking for here and even more! they have the biggest variety of foods veggies and fish, i would love it if they had an online pickup or something like that, however, the workers there are very cautious and are great about making sure everyone has a mask on which is very appreciated

Best international grocer in the area if you like seafood. They have many types of fish with experts who will scale it and cut it however you want. Lots of ramen and many other items you cant find at other stores also

Good international store that will supply you for any of your alternative groceries. You can even get fresh fish as they have some options that are swimming in tanks. Also, meat might be cheaper here as well. The staff are polite and professional. They are following Covid guidelines. Recommended.

Our new favorite Asian grocery market. Further than Grand Mart from where we live but Farmers International is better with more selections and service so we drive here instead of Grand Mart now. Plus their butcher services (like cleaning fish) are free but at Grand Mart they charge a fee. Also Farmers is cleaner and more organized. Farmers also cater more to Military Families.

The better business Bureau needs to know about this store..the managers and crew will go out of thier way even as far as to ignore you to take care of thier own culture only.. I have continued to watch this..😰

There store has an odor that hits you as you walk in. The staff is not knowledgeable or friendly. Peaches were on sale for .99 lbs But there was no way to tell if they were free stone or not. I asked an associate. He did not know. He said I would have to buy one to find out. I asked to speak the manager he said the manager was not in the store at the time. I went to the front to ask for help. The associate at the counter told me to ask the manager. I told her the guy said the manager was was out. She went over to the same guy I spoke to. He was the manager! This store has no idea of customer service. I am suspicious of their attitude toward people of diverse backgrounds. I rated them 3 stars because I didnt want the whole store to suffer for the poor service by a few. However I will be trying the E Market down the road again. It smelled a lot fresher.

Love this place

One of my favorite international markets in the area. I frequent E Mart and Grand Mart. But I like this one as I can find vegetables that are usually not available at the other locations. Also like their weekly deals and the layout.

The people are really nice here and I enjoy coming here to get Korean foods.

If youre looking for fish, theres lots of fresh varieties. Lobster is overpriced (Im from New England), but the fish is decently priced. Great place for cultural seasonings and herbs. I recommend buying your staple items at Walmart and getting your seafood, obscure, and cultural options here!

It is one of those stinky places with dirty cheap food and great deals. Some.products are imported with no description in English and I am afraid to even try, but overall it is well stocked with many traditional and exotic food options. Especially rich is their seafood aisle with many varieties of fish that they will dress anyway you want it.

Huge variety of fresh fish and produce, worth the trip. I did not give 5 stars because customer service is lacking, but they are still kind people. However, I want to be fair, what they lack in service they make for in there inventory.

Truly international more Asian sided but still great. Excellent selection of seafood unique produce. Large varieties of rice, tofu and high end soy sauces. It may be a bit intimidating at first but you have to give it a try.

This is my regular place to shop for groceries. Fresh oriental produce that you can’t get at your typical mega-lo-mart and they have a seafood section where they can clean the fish how you like it.

Had to wait to have the motor cart working also there was a terrible smell throughout the store coming from the fish market also the vegetables were by no means fresh the one in Richmond is much better than Virginia Beach the corner of South Rosemont and Lynnhaven Parkway, will never go there again.

They have a good selection of produce and international food. As well as, sea food. The merchandising is bad. Their feature items look like they have just been piled up. Their produce section is the best. THEY HAVE MACHETES FOR SALE, ON A RACK THAT IS TOUCHING THE FLOOR. COMPLETELY REACHABLE TO KIDS!!!

Has a lot of choices if looking for Asian and Latino products. But prices often fluctuate base on season. Prices can be higher than other Asian stores.

Very good selection of grocery items from around the world, especially from Russia, Eastern Europe and the Orient. Not much from Latin America as there are so many bodegas around. Reasonable prices & the fruit, some from the Far East, is always in good condition. Great selection of foodstuffs, like Kimchee, wasabi peas, Japanese salad dressing, etc. for Americans🇺🇸 who WOULD like to sample foreign cuisine, or just bring your exotic recipes and gets the items here.

Ive always had a great time shopping here!(Ive seen stuff for sale here, that Ive never seen in my life... AWESOME!!!)But Im a very independent type of shopper.I dont bother employees with questions, unless I cant find something, (that rarely happens) or Im in a hurry. Cashiers have always been friendly to me.(It might be cause Im a friendly guy, most of the time!)

My son and I love this grocery store. The prices are great. If you love to cook authentic dishes from around the world, this store has your ingredients. The produce section is awesome with hard to find exotic fruits and veggies next to all the regulars too.

When I was heading for the dollar general to get something, I saw the store and decided to go inside and I was excited.

Beware! Always have checked the price from the shelf and the price when you checked out. A lot of items doesnt match their prices when they scanned it.

Great selection of hard to find ingredients. My husband lived in Japan for a few years and weve been able to find some of his favorite foods/ingredients. The meats and seafood are great, huge selection. We make a trip at least once a month.

ZERO STARS. I would give 0 stars if I could. Miguel, the Seafood manager has awful customer service. I had an issue with my purchase from seafood (my fish smelled so bad as if it was spoiled) and the customer service at the cashier was very helpful as she noticed the issue. She tried to get Miguels attention and I watched him ignore her being disrespectful. I decided to exchange to avoid refunding. The associates behind the seafood counter along with the manager stared us down and talked about me while I was getting another fish to exchange. I ignored the comments. I then Asked to get the fish weighed and he started to argue with me, still I ignored but he kept going at me infront of all the customers now causing a scene. I told him to cancel everything because I am no longer shoping there and taking my refund. The original customer service cashier assisted me and gave me a refund no problem. I could see her frustration with him. I will not spend my money her anymore. I was a loyal customer. Extremely disappointed. Ive never seen a manager carry themself in that manner. Something needs to be done!
