Thank you to the self check out associate ROBERT ! he was great at his job & quite frankly he needs to be the manager instead, He assisted me with Kroger pay & my digital coupons while trying to get assistance from his manager. The manager SCOTT did not provide me with an explanation of why they weren’t able to honor one of the store prices at another location. I’m okay with the answer being no however I’d prefer an explanation of why or at least direct me to where to get this information. As the manager you should know this information off hand. Scott stood behind Robert, Scott said no & simply walked away.????? I asked for the store policy and he informed me he didn’t have one?? I’m confused Scott. I actually enjoyed Robert’s customer service as he dealt with the situation and absolutely did his job! So this location isn’t bad, the customer service needs work and especially on managements behalf.

Not a bad store. But why are the shopping carts in such bad shape. Half the time you have to go hunt one down. Not what I expected from a big chain store. Needs some work.

Theres so much going on in this store, Im impressed. From the salad bar, to a sushi bar, asian bar, hot bar with soup, Olive and antipasti bar, and even ice cream by the pound... wow, just wow. I had to bring my grandmother back in here for the cheese selection and olive bar. She had a blast and enjoyed her olives this afternoon. For any chef or anyone who likes to cook at home, this is definitely a place to check out if you havent already. The produce selection is phenomenal.

The cashier was very rude.When I checked out there was only 1 checkout. I know she was busy. But her attitude was absolutely horrible.I brought it up to Scott the manager and he seemed to not care when I brought it to his attention.He continued to stock instead of trying to help with another register.This store is busy.All the timeScott needs to hire more people or he should be a cashier instead of stocking when 8 or more people are in 1 Line.Very disasified.

The meat slicing lady was the worst. I go to Kroger every week and this was a first. I went to order and was a white little old lady who took my order. She was constantly rushing everyone. Not paying attention to what everyone was saying until the 3rd time they said it. She didnt know how to slice thin cheese, so I had to refuse.

Every time I come here, whether it be for instacart or for my own personal shopping, every employee from the deli to the cashiers acts like you’re inconveniencing their lives merely by existing. Trash.

I forgot my wallet, so I asked if they had Samsung pay. Yes, they tried to help which I appreciated, but it ultimately did not work. As I left they said they would keep my items while I ran home and got my wallet. I sent my husband to pick the items up, not even 10 minutes after I left the store (we live less than 3 minutes away). My husband gets there and they ask him to pay only to discover they put all the items back. If he had known the items were already returned he wouldve just said forget about it. What a waste of time. Dont say you are going to hold the items and then turn around and put them away not even 10 minutes later.

John who worked today 11/10/20 in the self checkout was so patient and helpful, so kind. Give this man a RAISE!!! Thank you John! Also excellent selection in everything with great prices!

I like this Kroeger however the Deli counter is always where there is an issue. They pass you by for other customers as if they didnt see you standing there. When you bring it to their attention the cut your lunch meat incorrectly. No smiles and limited courtesy. They need a revamp or people who would give servicd with a smile. One lady constantly tries to give my husband a hard time in a sarcastic way and we go shopping there often. We live a ways away so its not near us the one on Holland Rd is but we use to live in this area and I enjoyed shopping there so I go back. Refresher training on good customer service for some is definitely needed.

I went there buy flowers on 7-29-2019. The lady her name is MARJORIE, she was so nice and sweet, help me prepare the flowers very beautiful. I’m very happy with her service. Just want to say THANK YOU VERY Much! I will continue to come to this Kroger for shopping even I have moved to different area.

Great store. Everything is extremely organized and clean. Love the people in the deli. Very helpful and lovingly slice fresh deli meats for you. The butcher department is gorgeous. Meats beautifully displayed. The butcher manager Brian was so helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

Very crowded isles with displays. Employees helpful, pharmacy always smiling and helpful. However I was not the only person frustrated with no clear isles to get to the items that were on my list. Im not ready to do on line shopping just yet.

I dont have a Kroger store near me so I always visit this one when Im at Hilltop. I am always impressed with their variety of choice. Today I was blown away by their salad and food bars. Everything looked so fresh and appetizing!

Always friendly service, no frills. A grocery store that is not trying to be a super store - always a good selection and timely sales and markdowns.

The associates are always very welcoming and helpful. The butcher has never had a problem cutting meat for me if I wanted it broken down. Produce is always looking fresh.

Good store. I rate this a 4 because they have a challenge keeping produce stocked, and you cant buy regular single yellow onions just organic. Lines are fast and they are usually on top of opening up a new line quickly if there is more than two in a line

This has been our familys store for years. The changes theyve been making lately have made shopping there a much better experience. Great selection, including lots of specialty items that I used to have to go to Whole Foods for. Krogers website shows what aisle every item in the store is in, too!

The cashiers are so rude here. I prefer the Kroger on VA Beach Blvd even though this is closer to my house.

2 lanes open only unless you do self check out. Most of the time I have to bag my own groceries. Inhave tried here a few times and will not be coming back.

I love the weekly deals, staff is friendly for the most part, & the natural/organic section is extensive! The store remains clean and neat, no matter when you come to shop! Its rare to shop for an item that is out of stock. I love shopping there every week; one of the first grocery stores I have to visit despite having other stores closer to my residence.

I love Kroger, it is a great place for groceries. It also has a flower desk, pharmacy, salad bar, deli, seafood and much more. And bargains to be had all over the store by just looking for the woohoo sticker. And dont forget to check the bakery rack.

This place has gone downhill. Ghetto gossip cashiers whod rather discuss their personal agendas in lieu of assisting customers. This includes the manager, Tara, if thats what you consider a manager

Picture this you’ve had a super busy morning and a crying baby in the car (don’t worry the dogs watching the baby). Just popping in to Kroger to grab a 12er of your favorite chilly golden beverage to start the work week. As you approach the register you realize that you’ve locked your wallet in your car with the dogs and the baby but not to worry you’ve got the best technology known to man a IPhone. But nooo Kroger doesn’t believe in Apple Pay, you can literally pay for groceries in Bitcoins but not Apple Pay. Get your stuff together Kroger until you do I’ll be taking my baby and dogs to Food Kitty.

We loved The Krogs and do all our groceries shopping there when we arrive in VB. I have the discount card which gets discounts on gas too. Excellent beer section and selection. Thats the best part.

It is a great (smaller) neighbor grocery store for the shore drive community. The produce section is a little smaller but it does have a few different products then the regular Kroger at Hiltop.The huge plus is the deals and saving using the app and being a member. Also if you leave a review after purchasing your goods they will actually work on fixing the problems and adding products you requested!

I love the Kroger brands, but I dont shop there as much since they stopped Senior day. That was there only edge above other store pricing.

This Kroger location has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a grocery store. I travel to Va. Beach frequently from the Pacific Northwest to visit my elderly parents. Every time I’ve gone to Kroger & needed assistance finding something in an unfamiliar setting, a Kroger employee has been happy to help me find what I need. Yesterday I needed to find German Spaetzle noodles so I could make my father his favorite German meal. Being a specialty item, this wasn’t available at this location. Matt, the Asst. Manager, went above and beyond to get me the item I needed. On his way to work this morning he stopped by a different Kroger location to pick up the Spaetzle noodles and brought it to this location for pick up. My sincerest thanks goes to Matt and the many other fine Kroger employees who’ve assisted me. There’s no place like Kroger’s!

Nice selection, the deli is outstanding. Traffic getting out of their lot can be a bit weird to say the least since everyone seems to be in such a hurry that they almost take you out.

Watch your dates here. Bought some meat without looking at the date, my bad. Got it home and it smelled. Checked the date and it had expired 6 days prior. Went back next day to return. They were still there. I told someone in the meat department about the whole stack of expired meat and was snubbed with the Ill let someone know. Went back the next day for something unrelated and decided to check and what do you know? They were still there. The employees here are not the happiest bunch either. Ill stick to Holland Road for now on.

Republic Rd. location has the BEST people. Produce quality and selection has, unfortunately, been declining. Good prices and selection on everything else.

Certainly NOT like the Farm Fresh near the Beach on Laskins (off of 31st). We always went there when we came to the beach... SO DISAPPOINTED to find Farm Fresh had closed...and more disappointed when Kroger didnt compare! Old store. No selection in the meat department. Same goes for the customer service. 2nd and last time Ill ever go to this Kroger. Went Walmart. Got everything I needed and at better prices and awesome service.

During my last visit I purchased a lot of fruit. The very same day when I got home I cut into two ripe mangos and they were brown. The next day we ate two peaches I bought from here and they were becoming rancid. Organic Strawberries that I inspected throughly when purchasing grew mold on them two days later and had to be thrown out. Ive never had a problem with keeping produce fresh and I still dont, with the exception of my purchases from this Kroger Market. That was a good $10 wasted.

The employees are always friendly when we go in but that really isnt often. Its your average Krogers grocery store by all means

This Kroger Grocery Store is a very clean grocery store, they have a staff that is very helpful at all times and even bag your groceries. (I dont find that much anymore) I encourage you to use this store, you will come out from your shopping and not feel so stressed.

Store was dirty, shelves were empty . Employees is the way stocking and wouldnt more or offer assistance. Trash on floor. Just an overall bad experience for a shopping trip for my Wife and I. Checkouts were also backed up and checklanes light were off, but ringing some customers. Made it even more confusing. No direction or leadership present here and quite frankly, very obvious.
