I love this place. Reminds me of the old school hardware stores from back when I was a lot younger. Clydes market was very similar in the very back of that store in the 60s.They had a keyless porcelain light fixture that no one else carries anymore. This place Rocks, keep up the great work !

Everyone here is always so helpful with whatever random project I have going on. I usually stop in on a whim (before I’ve even fully planned the project or know the specs) because I know that as soon as I get home, the odds of my leaving again are slim. Or I’ll be home and randomly feeling productive, but by the time I go to the store and get what I need and get back home, the motivation has left me. They always try to help me sort it out. So like the other day, I bought some grout for a project that I won’t have time to tackle anytime soon, but I’ll have it on hand for when I can. They also walked me through how to use it, including some cautionary tales. I bought screen material to repair screen doors (without measuring); another lesson shared. Spackle. Dishwasher issues. Came in another day to get my brother a Christmas tree – a great little cutie for only $18.99! Not to mention that this is the best place in town to get a beach cruiser bike. I’m rambling because it’s been a rambling kind of week, in which I went into Best Value literally four times for different purposes. I dearly appreciate my neighborhood hardware store. You get the kind of convenience and attention that the big box stores simply can’t offer. Thanks, y’all!

Great Christmas tree selection for an amazing price ($20)! Found a tree, went in and was helped right away. Even cut the bottom there. In and out in 10 minutes, easiest tree buy experience ever!

Reasonable prices for a convenient type hardware. Some items are cheaper, you just have to know what you are buying. It is conveniently located, the staff help you to get in and get out quickly. Much better than Taylor’s do it centers. They also have a variety of fishing equipment including rods, reels, and bait. Go there and price bicycles as well. I frequent the place and I am a general contractor.

I walked in there the other day looking for Lawnmower oil and the gentleman Cecil behind the counter literally told a customer to hold on a second while he brought me right to correct aisle. He even showed me a cheaper oil that was still sufficient enough for my mower. Long story short I will never go to Home Depot or Lowes again. You just cant find authentic mom and pop shops that treat you well from the moment you walk in til the moment you checkout. Thank you guys! I appreciate the love and help. See ya soon!!

I liked it. I generally rate franchises like this as 4 stars unless there is something exceptional or truly awful about them. As 4 stars it means that they are good representatives of everything you would expect from a best Vaue Hardware, and this was no exception to the norm. Friendly staff, clean, well maintained, good parking and easy access - everything you would expect and like and this store is a solid example of that. Recommended.

A family member went to this store today to buy some disinfectant. When she went in a older, smaller dog got spooked and bit her foot numerous times. After she separated the dog from her a younger female employee came up and accused her of stepping on said dog, which she didnt. Showed zero concern for customers. The dogs owner later showed up and was great she apologized and exchanged numbers. The young employee proceeded to grab the owner who also came out with the exact same attitude. His first words were for concern for the dog and proceed to say that it was between her and the dog owner and that it has nothing to do with him. It is your store and while you have a customer bleeding from a dog bite it is your problem because it happened on your property in your store. So go to this store but remember if you get hurt its not the owners problem. I will highly recommend no one to go here

Wish I could leave zero stars. I walked in Saturday and was viciously bitten by an unattended dog whose owner was at the back of the store. The employee proceeds to yell at me and show no concern for my bleeding foot. The owner, Cecil, tells me its not his problem and asked how the dog was!??Im thankful I wasnt a toddler! I have 7 puncture holes and multiple bruises. Warning to all who enter...they dont care!

First off its so nice their open Sunday! They have a lot here. this is the wifes phone but i came in on Sunday morning may 3rd. Im visitng & my bike lock got jammed up. I was just using it wrong but the main guy there helped me out big time!! All I wanted to do was ride my bike on vacation and thanks to this store I was able to. THANK YOU BVH!!!

Cool store. Mom and pop type personal service and attitude. Had what I needed, quick in and out and reasonably priced.

Just moved to the Oceanfront and went in twice, once for keys and once for appliance bulbs. They had what I needed and their process were reasonable (the appliance bulbs were cheaper than the big box store!) Will be going to Best Value FIRST for my hardware and house needs.

I stopped by after seeing bikes out front when it was impossible to find bikes anywhere else. They had a good selection and the customer service was great.

These guys are great every time. So glad to have them in the neighborhood. The isles are a little slim so dont bring a stroller but its a good trade off for the relatively huge selection for such a small place. They also sell bikes and fishing stuff. The employees are happy to help.

This place is old school. They have a lot of odds and ends but what I came for was the bins of nuts, screws, and nails. These types of places are hard to find nowadays. When I walked in, the clerk asked me what I was in for and walked me to the bins. Overall would recommend poking around here before going to one of the big box stores.

As an 18 year resident of the North End, I went to best value to purchase a bicycle for my son due to the stores reputation. 7 days after purchasing but less than 2 days and 5 miles of operation the bikes trear tire was flat. After questioning my son and his friends regarding how the flat occurred they stated that the bikes rear wheel was wobbly and didnt spin true from the first ride. I returned it for service and questioned if there was a problem with the rear rim. The rim was found to be out of round and required tuning. Best value refused to accept that the bike was delivered in that condition but repaired the rim at no charge, they did charge for the tire and labor. I asked for a exchange or refund and was denied. Given the limited use, there is no doubt that I purchased the bike with the rear rim out of round which caused the damage to the tire. With so many other options for their products and services, I will not be returning to best value again. Its hard to support local stores when they do not stand behind their product.
