I had such an awesome experience. They had helped me figure out an issue I was experiencing with two records and a turntable. Issue was resolved by purchasing a better turntable. I purchased one from them and had no regret! Thanks Birdland Music. You guys are my go-to record store. :)

Love this store! There are hidden gems behind these doors and Im absolutely thrilled that I can still find a place to buy CDs. Kurt was extremely knowledgeable in all areas of music. Will definitely be back again soon.

My son is an avid collector of albums. New and old (especially old), the owner is knowledgeable and willing to talk with his clients about music. My sons 16 year old dream is to now work at Birdland. He found his happy place.

Whenever I visit Virginia Beach I have to go to Birdland Music. They have a large selection of CDs, and if they dont have what youre looking for they will special order it for you! Very friendly and helpful staff.

My wife and I went in there tonight so she could get started on her vinyl collection. Both employees were super helpful and awesomely fun to talk to. My wife has been going there for a couple years off and on to get hard to find CD albums, so when she got herself a new record player she wanted to go there first to get some vinyls. No matter what she said, whether it was an artist or a track off a particular album, they knew exactly which album it was and where to find it! In the end we ended up with a lot of great albums, even some first presses for a really great price! Will definitely continue going there for future album needs.

They have an amazing selection of vinyls here as well as CDs. They have anything from old school to new day stuff. Everything is fair priced. If you are looking for a turntable for your records then you will be able to get them here as well. The owner is very willing to help you figure out how the store is laid out and if your looking for something in particular he may know if its in his stock and where at. Nice calm relaxing atmosphere as well.

I have been going to birdland for many, years, and Im always pleased with the service and the knowledgeable conversations that I always indulge in with Barry, the owner.

I would never stop and utilize this place has a choice for music on any capacity. If you wish to be treated poorly and have no assistance provided to you whatsoever feel free to stop by. I Im under the distinct impression that if you have been going there for years you are treated well as they seem to be friendly and nice to the others that were in the store while I was in the store, but I was not treated with nor afforded that same courtesy and demeanor.

Best record store ever. Barry knows his merchandise and he gets to know you and what you like. His recommendations are spot on! Been in business forever and hope it is always there. He will order anything you want. If you live in the Norfolk area he can deliver it to Naro Video on Volley Avenue for you to pick up there. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Always the best experience shopping there. Worth the drive to Virginia Beach. Oh, and the prices ... Cant be beat!!

Really great staff who have a lot of knowledge. Great selection of old and new vinyl at awesome prices. This was my first time there but Ill definitely be going back often.

Let me just start out with theyre selection. It was amazing. Records and tapes for all genres and tons of aritists. Theyre customer service was amazing and they help me find everything.

What a great record store,heard a band called Trampled by Turtles and happened to ask if they had a cd,the guy said oh yeah I have one left and shonuff it was there.what a great place and what a good selection.
