Been coming here for years, if you love Grateful Dead stuff this is your one stop shop...

Buyers beware! the clerk on checkout added a gift card at checkout, then pocketed the gift card hoping that i wouldnt catch the dishonest transaction. It is a good scam the clerk would keep the gift card, you then would call your credit card company and get the money returned to your account. Half moon needs to vent their employees better. ps what i did purchase was great.

I loved it! Fantastic assortment of beautiful clothing, accessories, and textiles. Exactly what all the other new age, metaphysical, head shop type retail stores are missing.

Next to no large Ts. Most popular size I imagine. But otherwise well representing of hippies and hipsters alike. Great place, great vibes, great merchandise. I want to work there. Excellent sticker selection too

I went in with a group of friends and family. The shop is well kept. Lots of items to choose from. Pleasant and peaceful vibe. Their staff is friendly and greet you with a smile. Would love to go back with the intention of purchasing something next time around.

I have been going to Half Moon since I was 19 years old. The smell is the same and the clothes make me so happy to wear them. I love their larger building and Im so glad theyre still here. If youre in Virginia Beach and you like boho or hippie or deadhead you should most definitely go there.

So, nice trinket shop! Leans towards hippie, Grateful Dead type items and incense. Tshirts for days. Thing is.. its definitely pricey. Customer service isnt awful, but none friendly or helpful either.

This place was so wonderfully retro and relevant. Great laid back atmosphere and employees. Its hard to find dream catchers that are not just like every other dream catcher. Found an awesome one to add to mother-in-laws collection. Over all a very nice experience.

Hands down our favorite store in VA Beach, with our second favorite store being their other location down the strip! We made a combine 8 visits while in town. Some people talk about high prices, buy if theyre referring to Ixchel goods, they just dont know thats a standard price, even on the Ixchel site the prices are the same. So many amazing items in the store, and a massive inventory. I could spend all day there with a smile on my face. My only complaint is that no one has taken the smell of the store and bottled it as a cologne, Id wear it every day!! Its a delightful mix of all the incense, fabrics and salty sea air that takes me to every van, festival, head shop, vintage store that Ive ever been too. I cant wait to come back, until then Ill be shopping online.

This is the place to go to get anything Grateful Dead related. Very interesting store and can take a long time to see all there is here! Unique gift items and lots of bargains! Went back again today and spent another hour and a half looking at everything!

Tacky store with unbearable staff. If you want to walk into a store that smells like formaldehyde to buy a band shirt you can find at Walmart or other cliche beach apparel then this is your spot. But don’t be deceived by the sugar bear siding or record racks on google reviews. If this place ever was anything impressive it’s a shell of that now.

Great shop, and lots of variety, but the T-shirts were in no particular order, so it was tough finding a specific size. And the prices were a little too high, but still a great shop. There could have been more clothing in larger sizes, especially in clothing other than T-shirts...and i dont mean 5X and sizes like that. I mean real womens sizes. I bought a hoodie, but saw several other items I would have bought if they werent such tiny sizes.

A trip to the Beach is not complete without a stop here. Beautiful murals outside for picture taking. When they have festivals outside the vendors are amazing.

Its definitely an experience. Fun to look through and has some fun stuff to take home. I got some nice long pant cloth overalls for 30 bucks! Always a good place to browse when at the beach. They had cool pipes, too.

I love this place! They have an interesting selection of used vinyl records, incense, tie dye everything, and the largest selection of grateful dead merchandise Ive ever seen. Theyve got great (hippie/folk/60-70s rock band) band shirts in so many styles and sizes. As well as a fun selection of interesting finds. Its definitely a cool place to check out if that sounds like your kind of adventure! You never know what youll find here.

This is an email I sent to the owner - Good morning! I wanted to reach out and let you know what an exemplary employee you have in Noah. My friend and I were shopping in your store on Sunday, February 3, 2019. She paid for some items and accidentally left behind a bank envelope of cash she had pulled out of her bank. She was visiting from Richmond as I have just moved Richmond to the North End. We went for lunch and when it came time to pay her envelope was missing, so we back tracked in hopes of finding it. She was very doubtful and said if someone finds it they will keep it! As a matter of fact, she wouldnt even go back into your store, so I did. Thank goodness I kept the faith and went back in for her. Noah was very nice and when I asked if money had been turned in, he said I found it on the counter and put it in the cash register under the change drawer for safe keeping. I was so happy and she was elated also! Noah is a very honest and professional young man who will do great things in his life. I also understand that all things start from the top, so good job in your training, example and ability to pick the right employees!

Laughing so hard at the review saying this place isn’t “keeping up with the times”. That’s the entire appeal of the place. It’s a great RETRO THEMED store. I always love coming here to feed my bohemian style addiction.I always find something unique and cute.Also a dream for a deadhead or anyone trying to find a gift for one.
