Honest mechanics if Ive ever seen any. They dont try and take you for a ride on work or parts. Honest and reliable. I take my car here when I cannot figure out complex issues. Ive rebuilt my own engine and if I cant figure it out they can. Always a reliable place i can count on and keep in my back pocket. Keep it up guys!

These guys are freaking amazing! Im a single female and there was no hassling, no manipulating, no bargaining and no ripoffs! They are straightforward and I enjoyed working with Ryan and Ron(Rob?). They are friendly and did not talk down to me.They had much respect and were ever so patient! They fixed an oil leak for me and a few other minimal things that I needed help with. They allowed me to bring in my own parts,( thats rare at an auto mechanic) They did not charge me to install the struts on my hatchback, and they even helped assemble my hitch mounting cargo rack! Talk about going above and beyond! In the end I only got charged for one of the three services that I was there for which saved me hundreds of dollars! I baked them a fresh apple pie and showered them with much gratitude!

What can I say; Their the best and that aint no bull. They were recommended to me by my neighbor, I believe that was over 20 years ago. I have had two vehicles and a full size truck of mine worked on there. There work is always the best thats why they can and do stand behind there work as well. I trust them so much I have taken my mothers car there for just as long until she past at a young age of 93. I have even gotten my sister to bring her car there as well. All of us were treated well in service, pricing and warranty work. I will take my vehicles there until I die. I would recommend them to you and your family as well. These guys are honest and work hard to get your vehicle running smoothly. They arent expensive, wont add unnecessary work, they always get your permission before repairs are started, and they dont underbid. They even told us once that repairs would cost more than the vehicles was worth and recommended against fixing it! We have been going there for YEARS.

Cant recommend this shop enough. Super friendly, very professional, and great work. I once brought my truck to them and basically said find out if anything is wrong with it (its an old dually) because I wasnt sure if anything needed attention and after looking at it, they just handed it back to me and said everything looked and was running fine. I dont know how many other shops you can do that with, but you hear too many horror stories for it to not be noteworthy.

I don’t know how many shops I called to get fair quotes for basic maintenance on my vehicle that were ridiculously overpriced for the labor, but not these guys. Unbeatable prices, great service and the staff are understanding and polite. Any questions I had they answered right away and made the whole visit smooth from start to finish. Ive been a satisfied customer of B&D since about 2002. Weve taken all our cars to them and been very happy with their service, their professionalism, and their reasonable rates. Ive never considered going anywhere else, even though we now live in Valley Center. Good people.

I had a warranty power steering hose repair on our PT Cruiser, which they did flawlessly and cleanly and sent me on our way. A year later I took it in for a radiator replacement and they quoted VERY reasonable and popped it out the same day. Absolutely excellent, polite and friendly service. I recommend them to my friends !

Dont be fooled, go somewhere else. My car windows were completely broken and did not work after taking my car here. All they did was put a battery in my car and in the process they also completely broke my windows. Also do not be fooled, lead manager gave me his word that he would provide me a copy of my codes from my check engine light and he did not leave them in the car where he said he would. So I called to get the information and another employee told me since the manager was out of town I have to wait a week until hes back to get my codes or else he would make me come in and pay again. This place has the worst customer service and the worst ethics. Dont trust them with a car you love. I already have taken my car somewhere else but if I can come back to this post and upload a picture of my windows I will. Lastly I have to mention, since they broke my windows they used duck tape to hold it back up without even fixing my window. I will take a picture so you can see the duck tape on my window that was not there before.

I stopped there yesterday to inquire about scheduling an oil change. The guy I talked with had the attitude that he wasnt very concerned about small change jobs like that. He had bigger fish to fry. I had a creeped out feeling when I left. These guys might want to think about getting some customer service training. There are other things in life besides being a motor head. I will never go there again.

I was going to Big Bear for the holidays, but my truck needed work done before I could leave. I wanted to write a review on my experience with B & D Auto Repair, because when I left their shop, I left with a sense of satisfaction with their customers service. Not only with mine, but also with what I saw in thea other customers. There work is important too, so I waited until I got back from my trip to Big Bear, to give my review.While I was waiting for my truck at B & D, I noticed that about 8 out of 10 customers that came in, were repeat customers. I know they were repeat customers by the way they were greeted, by their first name followed by a what can we do for you today, and usually ended with a friendly conversation on hows the family, hows such and such, or how have you been. One customer in particular came in with his daughter (a newly licensed driver). You could tell theyve been going there for years, by their friendly conversation, it almost seemed like they were all family. I have two daughters and they dont know, nor show interest in knowing more about cars, so it gave me peace of mind that my daughters can take their cars to a shop that wont try to scam them because they dont know enough about cars. And this gentleman trusted taking his daughter to B & D for that same reason.Well Im back from my trip safe and sound, my truck drove phenomenal, the brake work that they did, and the alignment were outstanding. My truck hadnt felt like that in years. Vista may seem like a big city, but B & D customer service made it seem like a small town where everyone knows your name lol. In all seriousness B & Ds work, and customer service made a repeat customer out of me and my family.

Was quoted one price over the phone to change my cracked radiator, but after getting the vehicle to the shop, I was told a different price that was $190 more. They were also going to charge me $110 above retail for the cost of the parts (I checked with the local Napa store since B&D said they use Napa parts). Thats not the way I do business, so I left. What a hassle, waste of time, and disappointment. At least the guy helping at the desk was nice and polite (hence 2 stars vs. 1).

Today after my mechanic informed me I need some work done...that he doesnt do..I went to B&D.. not only did they do a simple fix...they were fast and professional. I didnt feel that they spoke down to me since I am a woman.. Ryan was a blessing.. I would suggest that before you make a decision see B&D.

Going off my bosses recommendation, hes been using b&d for a while now. My alternator fail on me 1st thing on my way to work. Called these guys, got me in right away. The van was back on the road in just a few hours. Good shop, good guys. Think Ive finally found my mechanic.
