Took us in 30 min before closing for flat tire by running over a nail. Patched and out before closing. Forgot the gentlemans name but they have earned my business. They were so busy but still made us feel comfortable and everyone were very nice. They are awesome. Keep up the good work.

They repaired my tire but I forgot to ask them to check all the tires to get them even. My bad and it would been nice if they did that automatically. Great group. Friendly and hardworking. Customers were lined up and wearing masks outside which we know is not logical. That was strange.

I was looking for performance tires that are very difficult to find, at least thats what I was told. I headed out to Vista, and serendipitously net Sales Rep Jerry C. This guy went way out of his way to find me the tires I had told were not available. Jerry C. found my tires, and is taking care of everything. I have been going here since they opened. Yesterday I went in with an appointment to get my tires rotated. They said I needed new tires. I saw they were busy so I asked how long it would take and if I would be out within the hour. I was told yes since I had an appointment it would be no problem. Well, it took 1.5 hours. I would have come back another time if I had known that. Also, I asked for advice on what tires to buy for my sons car as I was going to get him new tires for his birthday. All I got was just buy a giftcard. That was no help at all. I am now looking for tires elsewhere.

Jerry greeted us immediately, and advised us hed be a few moments. A minute later he was back out to help out with inspecting flat tire and then locating an exact replacement due the fact this car is leased. Paid and will come tomorrow to have it replaced back on vehicle and we are back in action. Great personality, knowledgeable, great service

I used to like this place. Today, however, I met Dave the Manager. His guys chipped and scratched every wheel on my car when I purchased a set of tires 2 days ago. I went down and spoke to Dave this afternoon and found him to be disingenuous and condescending. He said things like you have to expect some “depreciation” in the wheel when a tire is mounted. OK, a tiny scratch on 1 or 2 wheels I could live with. All 4 were chipped and some scratched. Dave said we might be responsible for the one mark but the others could be from road debris. Right! I clean my own car, including the wheels. They were perfect before I visited this location (the wheels had never been off the car). Dave the Manager wanted me to let you all know he offered to paint my wheels for me. If he had taken responsibility for the damage I might have accepted his offer. But because of his patronizing attitude, no.

The clerk Jerry was so rude to me. He would not listen to what I was saying and he cut me off. Then he told me that the tires I wanted was discontinue however I could buy them online. I went to another clerk and they do have the tires. Tires were the cheap ones but that was all I could afford. He did offer me the very expensive ones after telling me the tire I wanted was no longer available. Sounds like he is very dishonest to me

Discount tire is the best by far for tires. Clean courteous and quality work. The only reason for the four stars is because I made an appointment and still had to wait over an hour. Once they got to my car the work was done in 30 minutes so total time there an hour and 30 minutes. Other than that they did a perfect job and my car runs smooth and ever.

Excellent customer service!!! The times I have come in are because i had a nail in my tire or a flat. But they make me feel at ease with their excellent customer service. They do get very busy.. but to me i dont mind if i know ill be taken care of. You can schedule an apt for the next day ( if it can wait) or first come first serve on the day of. I believe Jerry ( hope I have his name right) and the manager are awesome.

I usually use the Encinitas store, but they were out of appointments. So I decided to try Discount Tire on Melrose in Vista to have a slow leak fixed. So happy I did. Johnnie said my car would be ready in an hour. It took 25 minutes -- AND they rotated my tires, too. Thanks and see you next time I need tires.

Went in for a tire repair but unfortunately could not be fixed, Ismael made a few tire suggestions and ended up upgrading to two new tires (needed them any way). I had a not so good visit at the vista branch on melrose today..Jerry was the person helping me. he was very short, and appear to be on a bad mood, or he just did not like me for what ever reason. he was just telling me I needed new tires (plenty of tread on the tires) he just insisted that I needed new tires. I was there the weekend before to have my tires rotated, and now my car was shaking at 65 miles . I told him that the tires look good to me, and left to get my tires balance to the San Marcos Branch . never had problems before, I recommend the San Marcos branch. maybe he had a bad day. No need to take it with your costumers.

Got a flat tire on the freeway. Drove on low pressure for a distance. Asked them to fix the flat. Turned out it couldnt be fixed. But they replaced the tire for free!

1 located near home (S. Santa fe), 1 on commute (S. Melrose). Both are courteous, professional. Over 25+ years Ive had good tires and had fun tires. Never had bad tires.

Fixed my flat in about an hour. They also rotated my tires. Everyone was very nice and they have a good system of lining up outside to check due to covid restrictions

Dropped off a tire to get fixed, but they couldnt fix it. They offered a new replacement. They could have charged full price, but they honored my warranty of which I forgot about and charged me only $15. Thanks guys!

I always have a good experience here but they are so busy that their projection time of completion is open wrong. Nevertheless, it’s a good shop so I recommend them. Make sure to visit after you buy for rotation and to check tire pressure. They also offer a discount coupon for a local alignment shop as well.

Was told 45 min and waited almost 2 hours. Had to go inside twice and spoke with manager who said both times it will be right in. Once car was in a stall I walked over because I had a feeling they were not going to take care of what I needed and of course they wrote it up wrong. I had asked Kevin for rotation and balance and he only wrote it up as a rotation. I worked for Discount many years ago and well let a just say this store is not even a fraction of what we took care of back then and never did we mess up that much.

Jerry has exceptional service. Not only was I the one he spoke with on my way to their shop but he was also the one to help when as soon as i arrived! I made it like 6 minutes before they were supposed to close 😩 but Jerry still gave me his undivided attention and I never once felt rushed. 😄 He walked me out from the office to do a few checks himself and then He drove my truck into the bay, even though he is a service writer. When the techs finished Jerry drove my truck out and followed up with me regarding the tire they needed to replace. He also ordered an item specially for me and contacted me 2 days after to inform me that the item had been ordered and it would be in soon. Ive had a lot of experiences with Discount Tire over the last 16 years, as well as over a dozen friends from Highschool until now, who work(ed) for Discount Tire. This was my first time at the San Marcos location, cuz I used to prefer going to the Vista or Oceanside locations....Jerry probably didnt realize that his naturally humble personality, along with his exuberance, was the charisma that made my decision, as I drove away....this location has one more devoted customer!!!! 💯Discount Tire should thank you for your outstanding customer service Jerry; youre a breath of fresh air.....stay you 🙋‍♀️

The guys at the Discount Tire 2450 S. Melrose Dr., Vista location are awesome! It was my first time at this particular location.A large bolt or screw was wedged in my tire, while I was driving nearby on the freeway. They were busy yet still personable, fast and did an excellent job removing the screw from my tire and patching it up. It took maybe 15 minutes.Ive always received excellent service, no matter which Discount Tire location Im at :)

The service here is great. They have a great group of guys and they dont try to upsell. Wouldve given 5 stars if their wait time wasnt so bad. Sometimes it can go up to 4 hours to get a tire service.

Thanks for the team here at the So. Melrose Dr., Discount Tire store. They operate as efficiently as NASCAR pit crew. I was getting a tire inspection, a balance, rotation, and air pressure check before a planned Christmas 🎅 trip up north. Everything was fine, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. My truck came out looking even better than when I got there, with tire dressing all the way around. Thanks you guys!

Called ahead and was uncertain if my Tire could be repaired. Wasn’t quite sure what metal tool was sticking out of the shoulder of my tire. I signed it and it’s in their bin of tire pops. Kevin said bring it in; thankfully I had purchased the tire warranty. Kevin placed the order for the tire and since I was driving on my spare they called me once the tire arrived. I brought my truck back in and they swapped out my spare tire with the new replacement. My favorite guy is Kevin although my favorite stores are tied with One off of Melrose in Vista and the other off of Midway in Sports Arena area.

Rude unprofessional staff

Today we decided to stop given business to this company, we had a fleet of 10 vehicles because they were efficient and decent price. last year service got worse and worse, today 1 of our vehicle was there total of 7 hours for a tire repair or replacement and there totally ignore our truck. got truck at 8 am and after 1.5 hours tech was told it was better to come back about noon. truck was there at 12 30 and was 5 pm and no one had even evaluate the problem to tell us if the truck need it a new tire or just repair.

Discount tire is excellent for new tires, rotation and balancing + fixing flats if necessary. ( no charge). They also have many locations in this area and across the country!!!

This is a great store, they have always gone above and beyond in customer service. They seek to serve the community in keeping you safe on the road. No lies or hard selling tactics. They compare well and somewhat above Costco, particularly in customer service. They deal with each customer on a personal level and to their specific needs.Thank you.

Usually when I read glowing reviews about a place, Im pretty skeptical, but from my experience here, believe the glow. We are from the east coast and were headed home on a road trip when we realized we had a not-so-slow leak in the tire of our rental car. I told these guys that wed probably never see them again, so charge what is reasonable and fix the tire if you can. They wouldnt take our money and cheerfully proceeded to quickly patch the tire at least well enough make it 5000+ miles home with no issue. Old fashioned great service with a smile, these guys really are quite exceptional. Thank you Discount Tire!!!

Super nice crew. Called this morning, because my tire pressure light came on and I just purchased the vehicle. They told me to stop by and within 15 min they checked my tire pressure and reprogrammed my tire pressure monitor system for free. No questions asked. I will definitely contact them for my next tire purchase. Great customer service.

Best service I’ve ever had. Came in as a walk in and was told it would be about 2-3 hours. They were done in one hour and had everything done plus some. They went above and beyond for me. I live all the way in San Diego but will come back for anything i can get done here.

Incredible good service. Came there with a flat tire asking for the price of a replacement. They easily could have made money out of this but instead offered to repair it, check all tires & rotate them all completely for free. Other stores offered me the tire change for 120$

I visited Discount tire for a pressure check and to have my tires rotated, along with a rebalance. I didnt have an appointment, but I was in and out of there in an hour! One of the best crew I have ever seen in a tire store. Bought a set of 4 tires and answered all my questions patiently and all was done less than an hour as promised! On top of all, they thought the set of tires had a rebate but later realized they did not but gave me the discount anyways. I highly recommend this location.

Pretty quick service.

Over the past 12 years, and a handful of different vehicles owned, I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer. The reason being is that the service has always been fast, friendly, and fair. I have utilized the services of several of their locations in North County San Diego, and as good as they are, the new Melrose Drive, Vista location is the best of the best. The service, knowledge, and care the team presents is top-notch.

In a sentence, the service was fast, easy and affordable. I needed new tires for our Honda Odyssey, and got four Yokohamas for less than $500. Nick was the service pro who helped me. He greeted me immediately when I walked in, and although he seemed a slightly uncomfortable when I wanted to shake his hand, he was helpful and thorough through the process. He was spot on with his estimate, too - he promised my car would be ready in 45 minutes and it was. When I came to pick up the car, he was ready and I was outta there in less than five minutes. Great experience all around.

Took a nail from my tire and plugged it for free even though I DIDNT purchase my tires from discount tires. Had to wait 2+ hours but they got it done - even stayed 2 hours after closing to accommodate me and the many many other people that came close to closing time.
