I love going to Smart & Final. I always end up finding something not originally in my shopping list. For the holidays Smart & Final had 9 to 11 lbs 4 bone ribeye roast for 5.99 a lbs. I am dry ageing one with Umai bag and turning into steaks and since it wont be ready for 34 days the wife got one for us to cook for Christmas dinner.

I had been ordering groceries from Instacart for a year before coming in for the very first time ever. I was very impressed.A great shop with a great variety of choices in products per section. The prices are very good without any coupons or membership cards. The produce is fresh. I went in the other day and spoke with 3 associates. All three of them were friendly and helpful.The only thing that is tough is that the aisles are tight and is uncomfortable with a cart and several children, however for a small space, there is a lot of choices and not too crowded in the afternoon, so thats nice. Lots of savings!

Its great for those things I use to purchase for commercial kitchens. Like large Briskets and hotel pans. Some things you just cant get anywhere else.

I used to shop at this store all the time, I am a senior! ****On Tuesdays and Thursdays, please note that 6am – 8am is reserved for shoppers 60 years and older, expectant mothers, those with disabilities, and first responders in the medical field.They do not honor senior hours, do not provide a safe time for them and do not care!! THERE IS NO SIGN POSTED THAT IT IS SENIOR TIME!! This is for the store on Vista Way, Vista. So sad when we are currently the worst state in the whole country, smart and final acts like its over!

They are compliant. They give you bags. Shelves are poorly stocked now, unlike their usual standards. Cashier was kind.

The associates at this particular smart & final promotes a family type environment. I enjoy coming to this smart & final. There are 2 gas stations across the street, a laundry mat next door, a car rental location that is caddy corner, a donut shop and liquor store, florist and a Popeyes take out and all of this is right off the freeway exit.

Always very clean and well stocked with great savings in all departments. Best looking and best taste come from the meat and produce section with great deals every week along with the 25% & 50% off of their discount meat section..Definitely one of my favorite stores to shop.

They didnt have either of the products we wanted this last time it. Usually its not a problem, but....

Overall this place has a variety of foods and you can buy things in big portions. Pretty pricey... but I did feel a little uncomfortable by the cashier Rebecca. My mom was buying a large portion of soup and she started judging her saying she needs to eat more than just soup. First of all why are you judging people and their groceries?! Do your job and scan food, that’s what you get paid to do! I’m extremely annoyed and don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Help is always close by...as a disabled senior when items are too heavy to lift and place in cart..an employee will be glad to help me.. store is always clean and safe and well stocked ☺

Has some items that some stores dont carry, even some items are cheaper. We go about every 2 weeks. This store is right off the freeway, fast stop milk and such.

I was overcharged for apples. The apples were clearly marked $0.98 per pound but the cashier charged me $1.93 and made it sound like it was my fault. I didnt stick around to have the error corrected because there were other people inline waiting to be overcharged.

The store is clean and well stocked. They have products I cant find anywhere else. The employees are friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

I live close by here and come often. Everyone is always so nice and great here, but recently and new employee started and wow! I have never ever met such a rude employee. I think she might be a manager. She had glasses and short brunette hair. But wow. She made me and my fiancee feel so uncomfortable. She acted as if we were bothering her to check out our food. It was just really bad. She was so rude.

They never have more than 2 registers open which can be pretty annoying when they are busy. Other than that I have never had an issue with anything in the store. Its clean, the employees are helpful, and they stay stocked up on their items.

Like all S&F stores this one is very good for somethings and not so good for others. Almost no pet food and this one lacks bulk items. I go once and a while for large quantity items when I need them.

Most items had no selection. Red bell peppers were 2.48$ each. Vons sells them 1.98$ each every day, even when costco doesnt have them.Went in looking for individual tabs of butter, bulk or single amount. No luck. I thought you were the go to store for bulk diner, coach, private store owners. A lot of time spent, walked out without a purchase.

Great place to shop, whether you need dinner for tonight, just milk, or 150 eggs (dont judge). Definitely use the weekly ads, for they have great sales, but the prices are good everyday on things like produce, eggs, and fresh salsa.Best place to get affordable-but-functional kitchenwares and foodservice things, too.Parking lot is spacious, but a nightmare to exit if youre trying to go east or north. Protip: take the exit by the liquor store to the side street. It has a signal onto Emerald, which makes crossing 3 lanes of traffic much easier.Dont expect an international section - a few shelves for Mexican, like 3 kinds of teriyaki sauce *and nothing else* for Asian food, and no designated Halal or Kosher shelf. IDK where the 100s of local restaurants get their bulk fish sauce and waribashi and rice noodles, but it aint Smart & Final.Overall: Great store, great staff, covers a range of purposes, not just bulk/restaurant stuff.

Well-stocked, clean. Some things are actually a better buy than nearby Costco. And then there are things that are relatively high, just like in any supermarket. I keep coming back for those things that are at a discount compared to elsewhere.

In and out very seriously. Attentive staff detected I didnt know where I was looking and pointed me in the right direction. They opened up another register when the line was long.
